The Mastinell winery (photos 2, 3 and 4) has a hotel where each room is located like a wine bottle stacked up for fermentation (photo 1).
This luxury hotel is located among the vineyards in Penedès, an area of Catalonia known around the world for its protected denomination of origin wine and cava (sparkling wine). The hotel is connected to the winery and focuses on offering plenty of activities related to enotourism (tourism about wine) and 5-star food based on local seasonal products.
The building was designed by the architect Josep Lluís Juanpere and Escamis (GCA Arquitectes) who won the Gold Medal in the 2011 Shanghai International Interior Design Festival. It's a sustainable building with cross ventilation, which reuses rainwater and creates its energy with a biomass boiler.

Saturday October 22 2022 Mommy’s monthly retreat/respite took place this month at The Hamilton Hotel, downtown Alpharetta GA.
Saturday night dinner was Minnie’s Pizzeria which is located across the street from The Hamilton hotel. I had 2 glasses of the Barbera wine, a delicious apples and almonds salad with blue cheese, and a personal pizza (grilled chicken, spinach and tomatoes). I took a to-go cup of wine and my pizza with me, the salad and wine had me full&feeling very good.
The downtown Alpharetta nightlife was pretty lively with guitar players on both corners, there was a lot of people out dining and some were waiting for indoor seating or hanging out talking and drinking at the restaurant next who makes these huge margaritas (not shown).
Sunday morning I got up early to catch the sunrise for meditation and to do more content. I had breakfast at The Hamiltons in house restaurant. The omelet was so yummy. I had duck, spinach, goat cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms. The duck was very tender and my mocha latte was so tasty, and hit the spot! I ended up taking most of my food back to my room to eat before check-out.
Two negatives about my brief getaway: 1-I could not get an early check-in or late check-out due to the hotel having events (weddings) AND 2-the temperature does NOT go above 72 degrees so I had to get two extra blankets for warmth. The hotel caps the heat, not good for these chilly Georgia nights and a person who has anemia.
I also have to mention that only valet parking is available on site for $35 overnight, the free parking garage is 5 minutes walking distance from The Hamilton. Other than that, The Hamilton hotel was a clean upscale boutique/Curio hotel. I did not stay for the views and oh-they did grant my request to have a corner room (well-my room was the next to a corner so almost a corner room) but it was a room situated on the back of the hotel, so my view was of other rooms and the courtyard below (where the weddings/events took place).
