Good books can make you homesick for places you have never been.

Vignettes of what Meli and I have been up to today.

The sunlight was short-lived but warm, and dusk is already upon us. Both the cats are hanging by their paws (and claws) upon the windowsill, staring greenly at alarmed squirrels and plump, uncaring pigeons. I've switched their little red hot air blower on, and soon I must dress them up in layers of crimson vests and pink and navy jumpers to keep them soft and warm.

Then it's hot chocolate, and catching up with Les Mis and The Dream House for me.
