Cutie romance stack (but not really THAT cute with some of these titles 🙊)

I’ve struggled on and off for years with reading high fantasy books because they’re all so similar and get bogged down in all the high stakes drama. But Legends & Lattes really changed the game for me. This was the coziest and sweetest thing I’ve read in a while and I loved that it revolves around a little coffee shop in a fantasy/dnd-like setting. It was so much fun to see a fantasy world from this perspective! It was so different and cozy and unique. I wish there were more books like this one.

I loved Viv and the found family that she made for herself. Tandri and Cal were amazing and helpful and grounding for Viv. And Thimble! I just wanted to eat all the pastries that he made. This book made me so hungry, it’s not even funny! Another thing that I loved about this book was the quiet queerness of it. It was so soft and gentle. I also really liked that this story was about Viv finding a new place for herself after she decided to retire from adventuring. It was so nice to see her build a business from the ground up and finally be able to settle down to enjoy it.

If it’s not obvious yet, this was a really great read and I’m looking forward to whatever comes next for this series. I’m giving Legends & Lattes a solid five stars!

I usually read a lot of dark and long-burning books. So not to burn myself out I need some breaks and comfort reads sometimes. Today I want to share with you my top 5 comfort books and also my TBR(thank you all for the recommendations). ❓Have you read any of this and what are your favorite comfort reads? My top 5 comfort reads(I can't choose places for these books, so the order is random):         • The House in The Cerulean Sea. A beautiful story about finding family and accepting who you really are. It has a nicely written progression from mundane to magical, from dull to bright, I enjoyed the novel and the emotions it awakened in me.         • Harry Potter. The series is so well known I don't need to comment on this choice. For me, it has a cosy feeling of nostalgia and pure magic in it.         • A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking or any other non-horror T.Kingfisher's book. I just adore her writing style and humor, I praised T.Kingfisher on multiple occasions in this blog, but I can't recommend her enough.         • Labyrinths of Echo by Max Frei. This recommendation works only for my Russian-speaking friends, but I can't ignore this series in this list. Because it's my favorite comfort read for the last 10 years. Yeah, I promised not to choose favorites, but Echo is so special to me. It's the world we all dream to find for ourselves. It's that perfect beautiful alluring world that feels like home.         • Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend. I finished only the first book but enjoyed it a lot.
