So in honor of World Yoga Day. I wanted to ask do your MC‘s and or OC‘s practice any type of sports?

If yes which one and why?

Hi! Sorry to take so long to answer. I started re-reading my OCs' profiles to answer, had an idea to answer with moodboards and got sidetracked 😅

I didn't know there was a world yoga day. That's so cool! If I knew it sooner, I would've properly celebrated the occasion by going back to my yoga sessions. Oh well... Maybe next week 😁

Anyway... to answer your ask, most of my OCs aren't super into sports. Some of them do yoga (Evelyn, Natasha) or go to the gym (Evelyn, Veronica, Samantha) sometimes whenever they try to adopt a healthier lifestyle, but they rarely stick to the plan for more than six months lol

But among the lazy ones, one of them managed to go from extremely lazy to slightly healthier:

Daphne Wang-Foredale:

Daphne grew up dancing because she wanted to be an opera singer/actress like her mother, so she took ballet and jazz classes. When she became Viscountess Foredale, she started learning ballroom dancing and loved it. She also practiced tennis for a while, but didn't like it. She only played because her grandmother insisted. As she grew older and eventually realized junk food and mopping on the couch wouldn't do her any good, she started taking contemporary dance classes three times per week and returned to ballroom dance classes once a week with Hamid.

I have two OCs who have been into sports and being fit most of their lives:

Alisha Hastings:

Alisha grew up dancing ballet. She was enchanted by the Sleeping Beauty ballet play she watched with her mother and grandmother in Paris and begged to start dancing ballet. Over the years, she learned a bit more about Indian culture and started yoga. She loves it and practices every day (20 min after waking up + 15 min before going to bed). During her years studying at Le Cordon Bleu, n classmate invited her to an aerial dance class. She thought it was fun and practices twice per week (or whenever her schedule allows).

Jade Bourbon-Rys:

The Queen Consort of Cordonia is an authentic fitness freak and has a very strict training routine: Jogging (1h)+ Dancing or Swimming (1h) + Crossfit or MMA (1h) six times per week. This routine was created with the help of her personal trainer to get her in shape right after she got engaged to Liam and she kept it after getting married because exercising helps reducing stress and her compulsive behavior. In high school, Jade was on track team and though she had an unstable life since her mother passed away, every now and then she went jogging because she does feel better while running.

Bonus (not a Choices OC, but adding just because I love her 😍)

Stella Lovejoy:

Stella grew up practicing dancing (mainly ballet and jazz) as prep work for what she really loved: figure skating. For a while, she believed she would be an athlete, but after an accident during practice, surgeries and a long recovery process to walk again, she left her childhood dream behind and switched to swimming (I forgot to add it to her moodboard 🫣) and boxing to build leg muscles and strength. She still practices both whenever she has some spare time.

Stitched Graffitti by Amulet Misty: Wholesome NeShiki drabble collection set in various timeframes (including Another Day) Plots include Neku being a dork in a sports festival because Shiki is watching him, meeting a Love God instead of a Death God, and Neku having to deal with Shiki in a maid outfit, and other various shenanigans.

in the city of light by BitterLiberator: Fun AU Oneshot. Shiki is now in Paris to study fashion and she meets the various familiar characters there. Among other shenanigans such as dealing with Joshua being her insufferable french tutor, is her meeting a particular prickly orangeylocks that she takes an interest in overtime. Mostly focuses on the wackiness of the characters being in Paris with NeShiki as a side dish.

Stitched Song by Ghostfries: Post-game mostly Shiki-centric Oneshot exploring a bit of Shiki's life after the Game. Shiki stitched dolls of her friends as a symbol of her gratitude to them and it gave Neku an idea for her upcoming birthday. Probably the cutest NeShiki oneshot I've ever read 😂 I even made a fanart of it.

Would You Like a Side of Fries With that Envy? by SingingCookie: Post-Game Neku-centric Oneshot. Neku learns one of the shopkeepers has a crush on him and it starts to make him think about how Shiki would react to it, much to his confusion. Socially awkward Neku at its finest.

Six Mistakes by The World Begins With You: Post-game Oneshot. Shiki had to fix Neku's button again and he had to take her to his house. There she got to learn a bit of his home life and things get a little interesting while she is in his room. This particular oneshot is actually a part of a giant Roleplay two twitter friends I have had made back in 2015, and if you visit my twitter, I actually did illustrations for the rest of their RP logs. So if you are interested in a prequel/sequel of this fic that also has a side bonus illustrations from me (hehe 😅) you can check the pinned tweet on my twitter account.

Like You by mandidandi: Post-game Oneshot: Shiki gets overtaken by her complex towards Eri again, thankfully Neku is there to tell her what she needs to hear.

Easily Forgiven by Yours Truly 😅 (since there is a criminal lack of contents for them might as well...): Oneshot future fic I wrote where they're both college students and are living together. Neku wondered why Shiki would even like a guy like him after all what he did to her in the first few days of the game, especially since she is now in huge trouble thanks to him...

Photos by I'll Break Your Heart: Post-game oneshot. Shameless fluff. Neku and Shiki gets into a photo booth and Shiki feels like she needs to do something outrageous to get Neku to express for the camera.

Vision Test by Shinra-ex-SOLDIER: Silly little oneshot where Neku trolls Shiki by forcing her to do a vision test, of course he has to have something up his sleeve...

Just Let Go by Amulet Misty: Older characters. Shiki had a rough breakup with her boyfriend and Neku had to check in on her now-disastrous nest of an apartment.

Sanctuary by Amulet Misty: Multi-chap AU fic. Mostly Friendship between the cast with sprinkles of Neshiki. Neku is 17 years old orphan who had to move to Shibuya (again) to live with his uncle. There he meets two particular siblings who insist to be friends with him. He is thrown into further weird shenanigans after he meets the mysterious angel-thing, Joshua, who gave him the ability to communicate with this girl named Shiki, who is apparrently dead and can only talk to him through his phone. Slice-of-life goodness with frequent action and sport. Featuring Neku as a broken soccer ace and action girl Rhyme wielding psychic spears. It's better than how I made it sound 😂 one of my fave fics out there.

Monochrome by The Genius Mage: Post-game. Mellow oneshot where Neku visits Shiki's house and she shows him her secret garden, there he gets to learn more about her and what kind of thing she does to appreciate the people important to her, including him. Simple yet beautifully-written.

Of a Cat Ring and a Cell Phone by I'll Break Your Heart: In-game to Post-Game. Simple and cute Neku-centric oneshot. A particular ring catches Shiki's eye during her week with Neku, and Neku can't stop thinking about it as he makes it through the subsequent weeks.

New Mission by Team_Cap: Post-game Neku-centric Oneshot. Neku tries to get something for Shiki to thank her for her patience with him in the game. But things...don't go really well for him.

Natsu no Kokoro (Heart of Summer) by I'll Break Your Heart: AU Oneshot based on the manga Hotarubi no Mori E (Into the Forest of Fireflies' Light) with some differences. While spending her summer on the countryside, Shiki got lost in a forest and met a certain mysterious fox-masked boy in yukata. They spent the rest of the summer together, however, they can never touch each other, or else he will disappear.

Rain Check by Shinra-ex-Soldier: Post-game oneshot. One of those fics telling how Neku could meet Eri for the first time. Shiki got hit with a fever and collapsed when she was trying to get back home with Eri in the middle of the rain. Shiki ended up calling for a back-up and it turned out to be a certain prickly redhead. As Eri spent more time with the two of them, she got increasingly bugged by how close they seemingly were despite her never knowing him. Lots of Snark-to-Snark interactions.

waltzing in tiptoe by KeytoDestiny: Post-game oneshot. Mostly Shiki-centric. Explores a bit of Shiki's life after the Game and deals with her lingering insecurities as a creative mind and as a person. Pretty well-written and showcases a lot of what I like about this ship.

Beautiful Blossom by The World Begins With You: Post-game oneshot. Eri has been acting a little weird lately, Eri's clearly got her eye on someone, a boy. And Shiki can't help but assume, and fears, that it's Neku himself. Just like Six Mistakes, this oneshot takes place in the same universe as the giant RP logs I mentioned.

Coffee by I'll Break Your Heart: AU Oneshot. Shiki just returned from the states and found comfort in the emptiness that is Mr H's coffee shop. But the barista is kind of a rude fella, but also an interesting one.

Just a Name by Shinra-EX-Soldier: Shiki 1st person POV. Set 10-15 years after the game. Shiki decides to spend her day off at a resort. However for some reason, everyone there keeps messing up her name! What's going on?!

Disgusted to Silence by BrDPirateMan: Post-game. Poor Neku and Shiki, the two just can't catch a break, being an incredibly shy and awkward couple proves to be a nightmare when your group of friends are so immature and can't help teasing you at the drop of a hat. So in order to deal with the problem, they come up with a plan to make their friends so disgusted that they will shut themselves up indefinitely.

Suffocating by The Genius Mage: Post-game. Shiki-centric. Angst. We always get reminded by that choking scene at Hachiko, how Shiki forgives Neku so easily, trying to put it behind them. But it is a traumatic memory. And now that Shiki and Neku are together, she just has to talk to him about the recent nightmare she just had.

Soft Silence by The Genius Mage: post-game. Shiki's 1st person POV. Neku invites Shiki to his house to tell her something. Something unfair. With the rain pettering outside, she listens to him.
