Processing bones in either water or earth can result in corpse wax. I do my best not to be wasteful when I am fortunate enough to find bones, and as a result, I am trying to utilize the adipocere. I was prepared for it to smell rotten , or at least gamey, but as it turns out, the smell of the beeswax far outweighs any smell that the corpse wax has!

Hating on Magnificus NOT ONLY because he's a shitty person, tortures his pupils just to turn them into cards, and his card type sucks, but also because he ruined the bloodhound pattern among every card type EXCEPT his.

so far in Kenshi i've made and demolished 3 bases and moved them elsewhere. the first one was just in a shit spot because of low fertility east of the hub. so i couldnt keep my measly group of 9 fed
then i thought i should move closer to the swamps if i want to farm. apparently this is a bad idea because I somehow set up camp in this sliver of land where the United Cities held territory and was subject to taxes. then every fucking DAY swamp raptors would come in to eat my crops. sometimes i could hold them at bay with mounted crossbows but other times there were just way too many
now i packed up and moved to a spot on the side of a hill north of the hub, south of the stack. i couldnt get too far into holy nation's territory because they attack my skeleton buddy on sight. plus the rest of the group is every race they dont trust
but this spot can grow shit, and i only have to deal with the occasional bandit raid and bonehound attack, which are easier to deal with than those fucking raptors. plus i got a pack bull now. and my squad has been roaming the wastes long enough that they're all at decent combat levels. i got dustwich production outpacing its consumption so time to get more recruits

anyway, i decided to be silly and draw Shrimp and their pirate crew as warrior cats, so let’s go
basic gist, Shrimp’s pirate crew is called Dockclan, they’re a group of stray/feral cats who live in a beach town in Florida or something, they aren’t really an official clan and don’t follow all of the warrior code, they’re closer to a bunch of well organized rogues
Tumblr media
Shrimp/Shrimpstar is the charismatic (and massive, she’s some sort of Maine coon), she used to be the barn cat of some fishing/shellfish processing factory, however it’s since gone out of business and Shrimpstar was abandoned. While she used to be the leader of Sunsetchaos’s rogue gang she was kicked out due to conflicting goals
originally some rich person’s kittypet, Pandora/Sunsetchaos, Sunset at the time, ran away from home due to a hatred of the smothering environment. She and her friend Shrimp formed a gang of rogues and proved to be quite capable. She lost most her tail in a fight
Tumblr media
Ross/Bonehound was a stray cat who hung out around the shipping/fishing district and was quite close to Shrimp. At some point he was attacked by a dog, while he survived and fought off the dog he didn’t come out unscathed. Shrimp found him in the aftermath and helped nurse him back to health, together they founded Dockclan to help out other strays in the area
Ticks is a raccoon who can somehow talk cat. They’re known around the area as some sort of trickster with a tendency to steal trash, human trinkets, and stuff from cats. They aren’t in the clan obviously but they have some sort of feud with Shrimpstar as she seems to have stolen a necklace from them
Tumblr media
Cecily/Boarstrike was a feral rogue who belonged to a different group than Sunset. No one really knows where she comes from as she seems to have come from the woods. She got kicked out of her group after she got hit by a monster (car). While she survived she was seen as a liability and let go. Shrimpstar found her and knowing her strength invited her into the clan
Ennis/Bellthief as some designer breed, with long fur and curled ears, belonging to some vacationer. When he was younger he was declawed since they had a tendency to scratch things up. After she started loosing her hair due to some unknown reason she was dumped on the street and abandoned. She gained quite the reputation as a thief, since her lack of claws prevented them from hunting they took to stealing food from humans and cats alike, remarkably due to the bell still around their neck. Eventually they got bored and joined up with Dockclan as their medicine cat, they don’t actually believe in Starclan but they’re the only one who knows medicine
Tumblr media
Erro/Lizardpaw is a shy cat often seen around people’s boats. Believed to have been abandoned as a young kit, they’re a naturally small and slim cat making them non-threatening and often pushed around by larger cats. He tried to steal food from Bonehound at one point and was promptly caught, but instead of being killed Shrimpstar stepped in and offered to keep her around and teach her how to be a proper cat
Waterspout/Stonepaw was a stray cat who found himself crushed in a small rockslide. Belltheif found him and after getting help from others in the clan managed to free them from the rocks, however they’re leg was loss. Afterwards Stonepaw stuck around the clan as an apprentice since they don’t remember where they came from and don’t have anywhere to return to
Tumblr media
Cris/Darkpaw is a weird, unlucky black cat seen lurking around town. However it seems that Shrimpstar has adopted them into the clan, Bonehound claims it to be so he can’t cause trouble for others. It’s said that he dreams of the dark forest, however he’s words are often gibberish and were pretty sure he’s so uncooperative that the dark forest has given up on controlling him
Guppy/Tidepaw is an awkwardly built cat that washed up on shore one day after a storm. They hopped from rogue group to rogue group for a while, due to them speaking of prophecies good and bad and being seen as creepy. Eventually they got picked up by Shrimpstar and found a home with the misfits of Dockclan. While they are a skilled hunter, being the best in the group at catching fish, they’re they only member with an innate connection to Starclan (and the dark forest unfortunately) so they’ve taken up the role of medicine cat, well, after they gain their full name

Best of luck to you, Leshy. I’m sure this guy’ll be a piece of cake! 🍿
"I wouldn't get so cocky, my dears."
[And with a nervous swallow from Leshy, the battle begins]
[Skeleton, Skeleton, bones and bones, Squirrel, Bullfrog, bones and blood]
[The Gravedigger stocks up on bones, of course. The card bearing his namesake doing heaving lifting both as meat shields and bone diggers]
[Leshy cuts no corners with wolves and elks, but Gravedigger's defenses remain, just enough to keep things tied]
[2 to 3. 4 to 5. 6 to 7. 8 to 9]
[10 to 9]
[and then the dread Bone Heap is played. And the true power of the saved up bones is revealed]
[10 bones all poured into powering the writhing mass, and with it and a Bonehound at its side, the damage ticks]
[17 to 9]
[almost disgusting... but a good show, don't you think?]

Cease to bare teeth to a stranger
For Scrybruary week three. What purpose does Sawyer Patel have among Grimora's ghouls? What lesson could be learnt from a dog's chew toy?
Each of the Scrybe's underlings have a purpose to fulfil;
Leshy's denizens maintain his wilderness. P03's bots manufacture it's machines. Magnificus's pupils embody the three kinds of Mox.
Grimora's ghouls are no different of course.
Royal Dominguez provides strategic advice learnt from many adventures on the sea and Kaycee Hobbs who, as well as operating the well, can share knowledge about the intimate inner workings of games. And as for Sawyer Patel...
Sawyer's an interesting case in that they appear to be nothing more than a dog's bone. A coward who wishes to be left alone. An old soul who wishes not to be seen.
Do not look upon me.
One of the first cards he plays is a Bonehound which again is quite interesting... Why would someone so deathly afraid of canines, having been eaten by one in life, hold one in their deck?
Could it be a cruel joke from the developers? To imply that the same dog that ended their life followed Sawyer to their new role as a ghoul? Or perhaps there is more to this story.
Do not sniff or snarl!
Despite his protests Sawyer does not refuse to battle the challenger, only wishing for them to look away. They don't hold it against the challenger when they win, only asking that their bones not be dug up.
This forgiveness may extend to his killer, the hound with a big enough bite to leave marks in his skull, and that might be why its card lies in his deck. It was just a hungry dog after all, no malice in its actions, just instinct.
Do not bark or beg!
So then what is Sawyer's purpose in the crypt? What good is someone who cannot bare to be seen? What insight can a dog's dinner offer to the Scrybe?
Forgiveness, of course. Sympathy for those who have no other choice but to act in the the ways that they must to survive.
Sawyer Patel 1702 - Fall 1778 Eaten by a hungry dog. Does not hold a grudge.

📂 grimora's ghouls?
Royal
The first of the three to be roused from the dead, and also the least concerned about his current state. His hat is the same one he was buried with; it's nothing short of a miracle that it hasn't completely fallen apart over time (thanks to Grimora's handiwork with a needle and thread among other factors, of course).
Sawyer
Not quite as mobile as the others, on account of having lost their legs... and part of their spine... and several ribs. The bonehound they use in battle also acts as a sort of mobility aid for them: lean some of their weight on the hound's back (or better yet, climb aboard) and getting around the crypt gets a lot easier. Normally they'd be nervous about the prospect, but... it's really only living dogs that freak them out. Those are the ones that snarl and drool and sniff. The ones that are worn to skeletons just kind of... rattle. Not nearly as scary.
Kaycee
Kaycee (the developer) Hobbes's self-insert... but not by her choice. Her coworkers put in Ghoul!Kaycee as a placeholder, poking fun at the fact that she always dresses like it's below freezing in the office. When they offered to remove her because "the joke had gotten stale", Kaycee was adamant that she stayed in the game, leaving her to worm her way into the final product.
From an in-character perspective, she was the last to die of the bunch and is therefore responsible for teaching the others a plethora of (semi) modern slang. They've all kind of rubbed off on each other, though: it's not uncommon to hear "podsnappery", "avast", and "swag" within the same sentence throughout the crypt.

All my good posts are about inscryption so here‘s some boss ideas for all scrybes minus leshy, you’ll see why
Let’s start with Grimora and expand the pirate boss, the gimmick would be cards launching out of the cannons, reinforcing her side or harming your cards, essentially if the cannon skeleton hits a card, it’s stats are removed from that cards stats, at a minimum of 1/1, but if it hits an empty space it’s added to their field as a card, cannonball skeletons come in two forms, either 2/1 or 1/2, if it hits an empty space on your side than you get the skeleton as well, she will target randomly first phase but on the second she will only target your cards and her blanks
the second boss is the frozen corpse, notice the pattern? Frozen corpse doesn’t do much first phase but second phase will freeze your cards randomly, frozen cards function the exact same as the frozen opossum.
Third is the hound, uses mainly cards with the bonehound’s sigil, and will make your cards wet with dog drool, giving them brittle
Grimora herself will do something similar to leshy, first using boss tactics, then deathcards, because she would definitely have deathcards, f the final phase, she would write a grimore for herself and play it, it would be powerful, like the moon but only one lane
doing the others later

The humanoid form of the tank tread upgrade Bonehound. The upper image is using the original treads but I've since optimized them to use lower resolution textures but have higher detail overall. It's entirely inspired by @orbdotpng making me appreciate the Rotf Megatron design. 888 Tris, the original 512x512 texture + 128x128 texture for the leg frames and a 64x64 texture for the treads that's separate so the texture can be warped to make it look like the treads are moving.

Xotol Bonehound
A beast used in combat by the Xotol, they are selectively bred for violence and speed. They are dangerous at close quarters, using their large singular tusk to gore a target.
