(... This one turned out a little steamy, lol)
Ricard and Hege from Bond by Fire, a webcomic by @ratcatte I HIGHLY recommend :D!! (you can read it on Webtoon, it’s really really cute, but also with some dark themes!!)

I think the thing about Spy X Family that I love so much about it is that there IS like suspense and tension, but it's never like…."these two characters are upset at each other and it makes me uncomfortable."
In situations where that kind of deal arises, it's either portrayed in such a goofy and over the top manner that it doesn't come across as disconcerting, OR it's a scenario where WE as the audience are in the know, and we know pretty much everything. And even then, the characters react out of LOVE and CONCERN rather than distrust or fear.
The perfect example of this is when Yor gets wounded and Loid IMMEDIATELY thinks she hates him. What does he do? HE COMES UP WITH EIGHT HUNDRED AND SIXTY-TWO DATE IDEAS THAT WILL NOT ONLY MAKE THINGS EASIER ON YOR BUT ALSO WILL SHOW HOW MUCH HE LOVES AND APPRECIATES HER.
And how does Yor react? SHE DOES HER DAMNEDEST TO MAKE LOID HAPPY BY ENGAGING IN HIS CUTE DATE IDEAS. Even though she feels rough and is in pain and is worried about not being grateful enough, she struggles through because she knows how important this all is to LOID.
After so many fucking rom/coms (which, let's be real here, Spy X Family is a fucking rom/com) having miscommunications be poor and lazy excuses for conflict and lies and hurt, Spy X Family is over here using miscommunications for growth and as opportunities for KINDNESS and CARE.
And that's because they trust each other SO DAMN MUCH. I don't think I've seen a media property where conflict is used for positive growth as consistently and with such skill.
The strongest metal must pass through the crucible, but the crucible need not be one of stress and fracture. Let yourself be forged stronger by care, by reassurance, and by love.

sokka hates the fire nation but nonetheless subscribes to their logic through internalizing his own dehumanization, albeit in the name of sacrificing what is necessary to resist imperialism. on the other hand, aang refuses to sacrifice his humanity, which is intrinsically tied to the culture that was deemed deserving of extermination, and by recognizing the fullness of his personhood and his intrinsic right to exist, he defeats the tenets of imperialism on an ideological battleground. that is why it is so crucial that aang’s influence over sokka, as an air nomad, and as someone who did not grow up under the looming shadow of colonialism and genocide, is what helps him regain the childhood he had forsworn in the name of war—his laughter, his joy, and his humanity.

While going through droughts of hyperfixation, the idea of Star wars and MTMTE crossing over has rotted my brain.
Like imagine with me, the Lost Light malfunctioning while entering an atmosphere in Coruscant. The shenanigans that would ensue would be fantastic.
Maybe the Republic is apart of the whole Galactic alliance, and is incredibly confused as to why a bunch of Cybertronians are just in Coruscant. They’d probably have to stay in the Jedi Temple for an act of sanctuary because of the power of the Jedi counting as a religion.
Brainstorms reaction to a lightsaber, Perceptor’s reactions to the clones existence, Drift teaching the padawan or knights some sick new moves, Rung appalled at the lack of ANY therapy and the fact that they’re sending literal children into war as commanders.
Megatron having a moment™️ because wow this whole war with the Separatists and the Republic are giving Peepaw his war flashbacks, and wow that Palpatine does not give the best vibes.

Something I find neat about Silco and Jinx is how Jinx was made in fire
While Silco was made in water
And this reflects very clearly into their personalities.
Silco's calm, powerful, and adaptable.
On the surface it's calm blue waters but underneath he's the current that guides the ship that is the under city.
And trying to cross him is like going against a hurricane. You can try to fight a force of nature, but really the only result will be drowning.
Meanwhile, Jinx is loud, explosive, and chaotic.
She has a creative spark that she channels through her weapons and art, and all of it is unabashedly bright with explosions and neon colors.
Emotionally she fluctuates and grabs onto any fuel that comes her way. One moment she's a candle and the next she's a wildfire and you can never predict which one you will get.
But then the show runners swap the roles with visual design.
Silco's got a red and gold color motif, a scar that looks like a burn, and an orange eye.
Jinx has long blue hair and tattoos that look almost like waves.
Silco's water, but looks like fire, and Jinx is fire, but looks like water.

i like to think that after the first arc, Jambu would take Glory on little field trips to teach her about the rainforest, since Glory was there for like a week before she became queen and then she was immediately launched into other problems
