Remember when this happened in the anime?
Tumblr media
So cute! Adorable! FIST BUMP!!
Okay... this happened in the manga...
Tumblr media
Yes, the positions are switched but it is hilarious to me that there's Mineta seething in jealousy and then you got Ashido hopping up and down in excitement. Oh, and peep out Kaminari who is just smiling and Tsu who is just standing there.

“Tenya: you are evil incarnate!
Honenuki: sorry ‘bout it.”
this always makes laugh so hard bc why does it sound like an old western film or smthn.

Hot take but I will never forgive Bones for stretching out the 23 chapters dedicated to the Joint Training Arc into 10 episodes, yet they condensed the entire MLA Arc into 6 episodes and the manga version of the MLA Arc also had 23 chapters in it. Like Bones, you're not even trying to hide how much you don't care about the villains, huh? Again, Hot Take, but the MVA Arc is much more interesting than the Joint Training Arc. JT gave us Blackwhip, MLA gave us villain backstories and Found Family.
You are right.
The only good things about the Joint Training Arc are the OFA flashbacks and Blackwhip and it was horribly underwhelming. They put all the budget in Shouto's flames and Bakugou's fight and messed up one of the most important part of the manga.
As for the MVA, it deserves an entire season and not only was there not enough budget attributed to it but they cut important things from it that will make the next arc more confusing.

*absolutely screaming*
Just watched Tenko Shimura: Origin and Tomura Shigaraki: Origin (plus a few episodes before, trying to catch up on S5) and now I wanna hug him
I’m screaming, I need comfort fics
(Also is it just me or did Tomura’s voice (I’m ADHD and watch dub) in Tomura Shigaraki: Origin get deeper mid episode? It sounds deeper to me and I can’t get over it)

It does not matter how long it’s been since anime MVA, I will still listen to the soundtrack and I will still scream when I hear the first few seconds of Toga’s Nature

So I’m working on catching up on BnHA rn. I have one more season to watch before I’m completely caught up. And I kinda don’t wanna watch it.
Like; I know what happens. Not exactly, detail wise, but I know the major things (not gonna mention cuz spoilers). And it gets all dark and angsty and serious.
I don’t want it to be dark and angsty and serious. I miss it when BnHA was all light and happy and funny. BnHA used to be a comfort show for goodness sakes, but now it just makes me sad.
Don’t get me wrong, I think these latest two seasons really highlight Horikoshi’s writing ability and I’ve seen manga panels — legit art right there — so it’s not like I don’t like it from an artistry and writing standpoint.
But personally, it’s just really sad to see a show I used to watch to cheer me up become a show that makes me cry every freaking episode.
