He could hardly process it, as he stood there freezing in the wind, hidden behind the balcony door. Harry was … Harry was in love?? Since when?? The shock and confusion that had fallen over him like a bucket of ice was slowly washed over by a feeling that ran hot and acidic. Somehow, it gripped around his lungs tighter, more cruelly. Harry was in love with someone….and it wasn’t him. If Louis thought being in love with his best friend was a knife that continually twisted into his heart before, it was nothing compared to when Harry started to go around talking about having fallen for someone else. A 5+1 fic; 5 times Louis has to listen to Harry’s vague confessions of love for his ‘omega friend’ and the 1 time Louis snaps and confesses his love for Harry.

Unfortunately, Liam had to go and get engaged, ask them to both be groomsmen, and then go full groomzilla on their arses. With just twelve weeks to plan the 'perfect' destination wedding and throw every ridiculous pre-wedding celebration Liam and his fiancée stumble across, it was safe to say they were firmly back in each other's lives.

To understand the level of deep water Louis was in, one first needed to know he has had the same best friend since he was five. Ethan Astor was family to him—a friend who he loved deeply despite their differences. A friend he would do almost anything for. So when Ethan came to him with the plan, no matter how he felt about it, Louis accepted it.

At first, it was simple, he just had to flutter his eyelashes at any of the boys that showed interest in Ethan, and if they fell for it, he just dumped them without telling them the reason. Somehow, the rumors spread around campus that Ethan had an insufferable friend they had to somehow win over to reach him. Like a final monster before getting the princess.

“Have you seen,” Harry starts slower, as if to mock him, “my jumper?”

Louis narrows his eyes. “Just because I didn’t hear you the first time doesn’t mean you get to act like an ass,” he rolls his eyes. “Which one is it, then?”

“The blue one with a rocket,” Harry answers, hands on his hips as he looks to the omega. “The one I was wearing the other day?”

The blue jumper with a rocket on it is made of the softest material Louis has ever been blessed to touch. He knows where it is, has known where it is since he stole it from Harry’s hamper the day he wore it. But, he won’t tell Harry this, he won’t tell the alpha that it’s currently in what is most definitely not a nest on his bed. It’s just, it’s thick in Harry’s scent, so heavy in it that it makes Louis a little lightheaded every time he gets a whiff. It’s not his fault that Harry has the most delicious scent that Louis has ever smelled on an alpha.

Sure, he shouldn’t steal the jumper of someone he doesn’t get along with. But, minor details.

louis is nesting, though he won’t admit to it. between being ill, the stress of uni, and near drops, the only thing keeping him afloat is harry’s scent. the fact they don’t get along is neither here nor there.

Louis startled at the question, immediately locking his phone and dropping it onto the beanbag cushion below him. This was a topic he desperately wanted to avoid with his friends, but it was bound to happen sooner or later. That didn’t mean he would try to avoid it though.

“What guy?” He rushed out, looking at Liza with a dumbfounded expression, trying his best to avoid Niall and Jeremy clearly sharing a knowing look.

“You’ve been on your phone nonstop, you’re never on your phone while working. Not to mention, you’re smiling at your phone like a nutter,” Niall pipes up, grinning at him facetiously.
