I've been thinking about picking up Warriors recently and was wondering if I could be gifted some baseline information on the series before picking it up

I COULD GO ON AND ON ABOUT WARRIORS. I thoroughly enjoyed the series up until The Last Hope. The later novellas are good but I lost interest in any main series books past 2013.

The prophecies begin is still my go-to comfort series when I wanna reread something. Warriors is GOOD. Like, really really good. It's kind of cheesy, obviously written for kids, but I sincerely love their little cat society, and the universe it's set in. There's so much potential for fan content and imagination. Great characters too, characters I've remained interested in for over a decade.

Idk how much u already know so I'll start from the very basics. The series is about cats, cats that could talk, cats that have a society. They have their own little ranks in their own clans which are like... The only thing I can compare them to is a cat city or kingdom I guess. They have their own rituals and religions and names for things. The series follows one cat and his bloodline (and other important characters) as they navigate the difficult situations caused by clan life. Sometimes the conflict is a battle, interclan politics, natural disasters, wild animals, humans, etc. My favorite part about the series is how much world building there is. There's a clear history and, there's a specific worldview that every character processes things from because they've been raised in this society of cats that has its own religion and rules and shit. Basically I'm obsessed with the creative potential of the warrior cats world.
