Meyers really created this complex sibling dynamic/female friendship between Leah and Emily and expected me to just accept that they would forever be fighting over a guy? Nah man.. these girls loved each other FIRST. Sam came into the picture later, it was LEAH that was the first wolf Emily loved. And Leah imprinted on Emily long before Sam ever did in every way that mattered. They were sisters, they ARE sisters, they were best friends, they still ARE, they would kill for each other, they would die for each other. Sure, a guy came in between them, but it wasn't just any guy. He was Emily's soulmate who was WITH Leah for years.. what does it say about Emily and Leah's souls? How similar must they be or how attached or codependant or intertwined? Does this mean that at some point maybe Emily dated Leah's soulmate? Will she lead him/her to her sister as Leah brought Sam to her even if it was in the most fucked up way possible. Because see despite all the bitterness and anger, Leah agrees to be Emily's freaking bridesmaid despite clearly showing extreme antagonism towards Sam and everyone who gets in her line of fire.. yet none of it seems to be directed towards Emily (mostly) who it seems gets a special treatment from the girl who doesn't spare ANYONE. I dunno man, but the books gave me major 'Emily and Leah are each other's weaknesses' vibes and anyone who thinks that Sam is more than a stumble in their relationship needs to look again.

Rosalie and Leah should've been best friends

Speaking on the Films

I always wanted a scene where Leah started to develop a liking for the Cullens, and I always thought the person she should've started with was Rosalie because they had so much in common. These characters were incredibly mistreated and deserved so much more and were seen as angry and rude when they were much better than that.They are both just young girls who are seen as angry and harsh when they are both hurting and misunderstood. Not only were they both broken from past relationships, but neither of them could also have children, nor did they ever want to be supernatural; Rosalie didn't want to be a vampire, and Leah didn't want to be a wolf, these lives were forced upon them. Even though it seemed as though no one in their families understood them, at the end of the day, they were still very much loyal to their own. They just wanted normal lives with the people that they loved, and they just wanted to be loved. I always thought that out of everyone in the franchise, these two would have understood each other, and I definitely would have liked them to be a dynamic duo of sorts. I would have loved a scene with Rosalie and Leah having a moment where they start to listen to each other, realize that they weren't so different, and become friends.

Lacy by Olivia Rodrigo is screaming the Sam-Emily-Leah pain triangle. It’s like the song is in Leah’s perspective and Lacy is Emily. jacob black headcannons

he loves to drive and tends to rope his friends into spontaneous weekend road trips to seattle and portland

he loves florence and the machine

he makes a really good grilled cheese sandwich and always makes a bunch when the pack gets together for movie nights

his favorite book is frankenstein by mary shelley

he is actually a terrible singer but he loves to drive with the windows down, stereo blasting music, singing as loudly as possible

he is a really goofy dancer

he gives the biggest teddy bear hugs but they’re the best hugs you’ll ever get

he and billy have such a strong relationship that sometimes they almost seem like good friends. any time billy gives him advice, he takes it (except when it’s about girls…..)

he is an old soul in every way possible, and he loves spending time with the elders on the res and listening to their stories and telling them all his. he and the grannies are huge gossips

he’s a natural runner, even before phasing, and he was up for a spot on his school’s cross country team before he phased

when he gets stressed or angry and needs to calm down, he likes to listen to soft songs, read his favorite books, make wood carvings, make dreamcatchers - anything that will keep his mind and his hands busy

he, quill, and embry have their own unspoken language they’ve had since they were kids, and even the slightest eye rolls are full sentences. they use it to make fun of people, mostly

he secretly wishes he could have learned to play the guitar but never really got into it

he feels most comfortable in the woods, on the beach, in his car, or in smaller cozy spaces

leah convinced him to start a journal to cope with his stress, and he starts every entry with “dear stupid book” (but he writes every single day)

he knows a lot of card games (spoons is his favorite because it’s so chaotic)

he eats hot peppers like candy

he’s always down to watch action and thriller movies, but his favorites are actually the old cheesy horror movies. up until he phased, his favorite was a werewolf movie. now when he watches it, he sits through the whole two hours pointing out inaccuracies

when he was little, he wanted to be a pirate when he grew up

he can sleep anywhere

he’s very quick to justify when the people he loves hurt him because he’s scared of losing them and has a very firm belief in unconditional loyalty. on the other hand, he’s very quick to shut anyone else out when they hurt him.

he gives really good advice but wouldn’t take it for himself

he doesn’t like flashy things or flashy people

he wants to be able to work with his hands, like carpentry, and he’s always wanted to build his own house

he snores. loudly.

No One Can Understand, How Much I Love Leah

(This might be a bit biased for me because I’m a big fan of the actress who plays her, Julia Jones. She is a really good actress)

Many people have been saying this, especially on tik tok, so I’m gonna say it here.

But there was something about Leah that I honestly really liked, and I wish for more for her character. I really saw her character as being relatable while also misunderstood, having bad things thrown at her, and also having a lot of potential. Her character is incredibly empathetic, and her anger is understandable.

Speaking on the movies, Leah is going through a lot, her dad just died, her mother is now a widow, she has to look after her little brother because he had just turned, along with herself, her boyfriend left her for her cousin, who was also her best friend, and now she is stuck with him, while also having to obey him. (and she has a psychic connection with said ex-boyfriend, and a bunch of other dudes) she was, and is the only girl in the packs, and none of the guys in the pack really liked her nor do they want her there, and they do not seem to care about what she is going through. And she knows that everyone in the pack thinks of her as the “pathetic ex girlfriend.” Which is not fair, especially when compared to Bella.

To me, Leah was just a Young girl who was just trying to do what was right for herself, her family, etc. while now struggling with uncontrollable enhanced emotions, and an uncontrollable enhancement in her physical body, while still going through so much trauma.

When she leaves the pack she doesn’t regret it. That scene with her finally opening up to Jacob, really spoke. She’s finally Letting things out, and there is someone who actually cares to listen. And worse none of the boys seem to apologize for what happened.

That scene makes my inner tween scream out. I loved that scene, it honestly made me really want Leah Clearwater books, her life before Turning, her life after turning, etc. Maybe Leah is finding new love, maybe being happy by herself. The story should have ended with her overcoming everything, being proud of being the first female wolf, the writing for the wolves was not done great,

Man, Leah (and the pack) deserved better.
