A post-canon multi-chaptered fully written fic anyone? Completed for @fandomtrumpshate and featuring established Zukka, Sokka and Suki bestie-ism, plenty of worldbuilding, some spicy long-distance relationship letter writing, and a whole lot of educating yourself and expanding your mind one sex shop at a time.
Sokka is on a tour of the Earth Kingdom along with the Water Tribe delegation. Two months of travel throughout the Earth Kingdom to build relationships. Two months to make deals, reestablish trade routes, show off Water Tribe crafts and explore Earth Kingdom goods in return.
Though this type of exploration maybe wasn't quite what was intended...
The sixty-one days until Sokka next sees Zuko suddenly can't go fast enough.

The way schizophrenia and psychosis can rob you of your joys and therefore your comforts and soothing techniques + stress relief is so sneaky. "Listen to music, go for a walk, have a snack, talk to a friend..." I'm grateful you can't imagine the potential horrors behind all of these simple things. I'm not saying they are entirely unsound suggestions--I know loved ones try to put their best intentions behind them--but it's impossible to acknowledge the kaleidescopy of terror behind literally anything whilst in the midst of psychosis. When we hesitate, when we say we're scared, just take our word for it. here's an example. (link: a text post recounting a story of personal circumstance)
This being said, I think it's selfish when NTs/non-psychotics take it personally when we're too afraid to reach out. You really missed the whole premise, didn't you?

rural midwest my beloved
#i hate living in the city. i need to move to a town with <600 people#i need to live in an old white farm house with a screen door and a porch swing#i was not made for big towns. i am supposed to go to the same tiny grocery store my whole life#and go to two restaurants forever and be a regular there and at a shitty small town bar#i need a gravel driveway and a trailhand to drive around#i spent the last two days driving through the middle of cows and corn and trees#and i miss it already. farm king take me back#(yes monocropping is bad. especially on the scale of what i was driving though. but the point stands)

im going to be so fr.... i hate it when im shopping for something, perusing online or in person for stuff in my size and approximate measurements... and a skinny woman says to me “you should try poshmark instead” 🥺. u should look on there for stuff because it’s second hand 🥺 u should go to good will and thrift stores bc it’s more ethical 🥺 like i really wish u would be quiet bc u know damn well poshmark doesn’t do returns and that goodwill rarely carries good shit in my size. like ma’am, i’m fat and that transforms the ENTIRE way i shop for clothes compared to you. clothes are made for bodies like yours.... i’m expected to make do.

#kite rambles#i changed out the tire on my bike all by myself like a big kid#now i can start using the bike path that's almost literally next door to start improving my leg muskles and cardio endurance#cause OOF last time i tried to ride my bike before it went flat i did NOT get far#but hopefully this helps#it'd be REALLY neat if i could work up the endurance to actually bike to work#which is not unfeasible i used to bike a similar distance to Walmart#downside is the store manager at work is too stubborn to put in a bike rack so I'd have to chain up to a fucking tree or something

3am lads does anyone have advice for sleeping when you are so so stressed
#i’m moving in the morning into an apartment by myself#i took over the place yesterday and i love it but the leasing office was sketchy and my place like wasn’t ready#like stuff is missing (dishwasher??? stove fan????) and there’s broken stuff (front door?? blinds????)#and i spent most of yesterday trying to get the leasing office to promise me that stuff would get fixed asap#so i literlly only have tomorrow to do the rest of everything and i’m BIG STRESSED#i was up late packing more boxes but i ran out of tape so i have to wait for the store to open to get more 🙃 moving is expensive 🙃

$69 clown doll at an antique store
#clown#clowns#i had a fun day out today... stumbled upon this huge antique store while walking around aimlessly#it was quiet and seemed empty; i couldn't see anyone through the rows of expensive old solid wood furniture and mirrors#but the door was open and there was a big OPEN sign so i walked right in#felt like i might get murdered in there or perhaps taken by spirits. it was awesome
