Not A Traitor, Not Weird, Just Happy

Greetings! Just when I was afraid that there was no intelligent life out there, I find Anything That Moves. What luck!

I adored "Bi Femme" by Leah Lilith Albrecht-Samarasinha; I think she and I are sisters under the skin! I am currently embroiled in a passionate relationship with a glorious drag queen, and I was really starting to feel as if I were the only bi-babe who got all sweaty over a guy in a frock.

I, too, have been called a traitor by my gay friends, and just plain weird by my straight friends, but how can you label "happy"? I steal his clothes, he steals mine... and we wear the same size skirt. What more is there?

Thanks again. I shall return regularly.

Bi Visibility Month!

In honor of Bi Visibility Month, I wanted to start a reblog chain of posts about bisexuality in general, whether that's debunking a common myth, your coming-out story, your experiences etc. Let's make ourselves visible! I'll start.

A common misconception about bisexuality is that our attraction to more than one gender is an equal split. This is wrong. Well, kind of. For some bi people, this can be true. However, for a lot of bi people, this is not true. It can be 50/50, or 70/30/10, or undetermined. Often times, what attracts us to a person is different for different genders. Some times we will have different types of attractions for different genders (by different types, I mean romantic attraction, sexual attraction etc.)

For anybody who is interested, here is a video about bi erasure and visibility!
