Off topic but as a gay bitch myself, I love gay rep but we don’t have enough platonic rep in media. Friendships between girls is often seen as a placeholder or filler bullshit until they run off and find their spouse and I really really really really loved that my best friend’s exorcism did just that. Platonic relationships are just as, if not more, important than romantic love. I’m tired of them being downplayed as “not enough.” And I’m glad Grady really put emphasis on Abby and Gretchen’s friendship and they grew old together.

Seeing aged up human looking interpretations of the Ruffs that are like "oh they're all hunky men and Boomer is babyfaced" is always really funny to me because they do not match up with how I'd picture these characters at like... 30 or w/e.

Boomer in my head is an absolute ridiculously tall and lanky bastard. Biggest thickest glasses available too. Guy is ridiculously tall and an absolute twig who you'd think you could break in half if you didn't know he was a Rowdyruff. But also he's the hairiest bastard known to man and the only indication you get of Boomer being this this hairy is their very carefully maintained beard. For lack of a better word and to dive into queer terminology here, he's an otter. Man looks like an absolute fucking loser or like he's really into tech (even if he knows next to nothing about it).

Brick is a scrawny bastard and the most miserable moody fuck imaginable. He's the type of guy that you'd probably make "don't come to school tomorrow" jokes about if he wasn't a 30 year old man. Deepest eye bags imaginable, a goatee that looks like HIM's no matter how much he tries to alter how it's styled. Absolute exhausted and rancid energy, he looks like what Trevor from "Powerpuff Bluff" looks like, except with a lot more freckles and longer hair. He looks like his favorite hobby would be brooding in a corner and you'd be correct.

If you've been here for more than 2 seconds you know how I feel about Butch. I talk about this to the point where it has its own dedicated tag on my blog. Yeah they're still the bulkiest and thickest bastard of their siblings but they're also very much trans and not a guy in the slightest. They'd more than happily tell you that they choosing the name "Butch" was a premonition of things to come because they are by all definitions, a big bulky deranged non-binary butch who most people would not be fucking stupid enough to mess with unless they want to be punched into the stratosphere.

One of my goals that's ever-present in the back of my mind is to listen to more hip hop and rap by women. I discovered Queen Pen through Blackstreet's song "No Diggity" (on which she features, and her verse in it is AMAZING) and either I've listened to her album My Melody before and just forgot that I'd already listened to it, or I've at LEAST heard "All My Love" before. Whether or not I've listened to this album (or song) before, this song is SOOO GOOOOOOOOOOD, and I'm also enjoying plenty of My Melody so far as I listen to it, too.
