#you know#I've switched pronouns three times already#when I first started really questioning in my twenties I started alternating she/he#then ze/hir when I read some Bornstein#then they/them when that became more widely accepted#and let me tell you#they/them was the only one anyone besides me ever bothered using#like literally ever#if anyone ever referred to me as he or ze even once it's news to me#people are shitty about neopronouns even when they aren't necessarily about they/them#that said#between the aesthetics and the origins of ae/aer I think I've found something I actually *like* for myself#where the others were only ever a compromise with the outside world#because she/her felt like erasure and anything else felt like stolen valor#meanwhile online they/them is a ready option in places where neopronouns aren't#so even if I do switch I'll be using they/them half the time anyway#eh screw it
