top ten favourite songs at the moment?
(in no particular order)
This Side of Nowhere by Lydia Lunch- the whole album (13.13) has been the soundtrack to me drawing and stuff for a while
Jennifer Lopez (Fag Patrol version) by Xiu Xiu- I’ve always found this song different from the rest of the album, probably their most underrated track
Aftermath by Pray TV- a case of youtube recommending me a autogenerated video with a couple views and it being a absolute hidden gem
Long Time Man by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds- A southern gothic gem, yfmt is probably my fav bad seeds album. I always think about the part where the drums disappear during when he quotes the wife, brings out absolute emotions.
Shattered Dreams by Johnny Hates Jazz- one of the songs i rediscovered after forgetting about it for a while. The extended version is just Magnificent.
I Put A Spell On You by Nina Simone- I’ve been wanting to check out more of her music. Last time i listen to this, i was going to the bus in the rain.
Panic Moon (Live 1995) by Rowland S Howard- i’m a little mad that this never got a studio recording, but i’m pretty sure it was originally written for these immortal souls so i understand why.
Haus der lüge (epilog) by Einstürzende Neubauten- Reminds me gears in a machine and it makes me crazy every time it goes on (in a good way ofc)
Blood Roses by Tori Amos- probably my favourite song by her, I still remember listening to the album the song’s from (Boys for Pele) with my mother (it’s one of her favs)
Desire (both the studio and the Live in Berlin 1988 version) by Tuxedomoon- amazing mix of sax and synth, a sing to destroy and create to

Drawing College Year Samantha "Sam" Manson based Stephen Silver's drawing. Been wanting to experiment to draw a lineless-ish style as well. I lately discovered that Sam Manson was hinted to listen to Nine Inch Nails and Einstürzende Neubauten based on the bands' memorabilia in her room, which made her a rivethead (fan of industrial music) and also electroclash which I never heard of but pretty interesting I'd say. She also seems to own a keyboard and electronic drum pad which are instruments that normally used for electronic-based music genres that solidified the mentioned interest. From what I know so far, electroclash isn't part of the industrial subculture but of course, it's common for rivetheads to enjoy it as well. Much like some goths listen to metal, some metalheads listen to punk, and vice versa despite being three whole separate music subcultures with their own history and roots or music fandom/music community if you prefer layman definition. The reasoning is industrial music and electroclash primarily made of electronic elements while both still having different main sound characteristics; separating both genres. For example, the former often accompanied by noise but not the latter. One track that I like from the genre is Silver Screen (Shower Scene) by Felix Da Housecat. Very dancy and fun! I recommend this genre for those who lean towards EDM in general. Totally the kind that gives you some clubby vibes.
