The World Needs More Love

How true, and how sad and where Mother Teresa talks about spirituality, it is lacking in the world. But all it would take is a change in perception, to think about others, how we can help the less fortunate. How we can give back.

Where the world is divided, now we are seeing huge chasms open, in all aspects of societies; we have all been taken out of our comfort zones, but we need to find our way back. And with lifting restrictions, many hundreds of thousands of people who are high risk, and vulnerable have been left, stuck in their homes. They are uncared for in our communities.

The media have talked about us being opinionated and disapproving, also divided on many aspects of the pandemic. Hundreds of thousands are now stuck in their home. My home is my confinement. In the pandemic where we should be working together, in our everyday, many of us have also become invisible and distant.

But it is something we should be thinking about and changing. The more enlightened and less earthly we are, the more love we have to give, the more we can change lives. Mother Teresa and Princess Diana, throughout their lives always sought to give back, to help those less advantaged, even though they both dealt with mental and emotional trauma.

We may not all be a Mother Teresa or a Princess Diana, but life is about giving back, it’s why we’re here, take the ego out and you’ll see that. It’s small steps, and we have to want to change.

In the early months of the pandemic we saw doctors and nurses coming together to save lives, in many cases many having lost their own. Another act of service and an act of love. Now for the world’s survival, we need to give some of that love back.

We returned our first round of bottles and cans last night! Olivia had a blast! Every November we do a bottle/can drive for our local children's hospital. We started it when Olivia was born, and will do it every year until she is old enough to do it with her family! Our goal is to teach her to be a giving and compassionate human being! Being a force for good

We should all want to be a force for good. What matters is the goodness you put out there and how you deal with things. We all have that. When we hand out kindness, we shall recoup some of that kindness back.

If we carry animosity for others, we may never meet with success. Sabotaging other people’s success, means you could be sabotaging your own.

Everything we say, everything we do is a mirror image of what we say and do to ourselves. The pandemic is teaching us many things. We can all make a difference in the world.

In our private lives that is what most of us are doing, but I’ve also heard it said many times since the pandemic started, the overall tone has changed, people seem more mean-spirited, citing what’s in it for ‘me,’ instead of how can I can help others, how can I do better?

Where we may have struggle, we can still do better, but for that to happen, we need to stop projecting our will on to others. For those who haven’t found success, they may not care for others to have and meet with success and can feel jealousy and despondency towards those people.

No matter our circumstances, we should all want to become better people, we should want the best for others, to be a force for good. It’s the lessons we should all be taking away from the pandemic.
