Finished binding @that-banhus's fantastic King of Infinite Space today! You ever get into a pairing fresh out of binging a series and read a fic that just solidifies the characters in your head? Like, they go from "funny lil guy I enjoyed watching on TV" to someone who could be real, someone you could know. That was this fic for me--banhus's Hob is such a delight to read, so vibrant and funny and optimistic. And of course Dream's voice in this is just *chef's kiss* pitch perfect.

SIZE

So this was my first go at a quarto size on legal paper (8.5" x 14"), and I LOVE it. This size is perfect for that 10k-15k range, and with the community imposer designed by the lovely folks at @renegadepublishing (thank you, @simply-sithel and Cocoa!), it was such a breeze to figure out the formatting. (Printing, on the other hand, was a bit of a mess since my printer doesn't do duplex for legal sizes, but I figured it out in the end. And hey, I got a bunch of waste sheets out of it! XD)

BINDING

I did a variation of the paperback format I've seen floating around in the Renegade discord (@ashmouthbooks kindly explained it a few months ago, thank you so much!). French link stitching glued with PVA as per usual, although no tapes or mull.

The cover is made of scrapbook paper and is glued directly to the flyleaf (flyleafs? flyleaves?), although as you can see below I added an extra layer of kraft paper to give it more of a "board" feel:

The pictures in this post are of my second/author copy, with an added a half-centimeter hinge so the spine can open more easily. My first copy did not have a hinge so it's a little stiff when you open it, but it gets the job done baha. Now I know for future binds in this size: hinges are the way to go!

DESIGN (or, as I call it, VibesTM)

The first line of this fic has lived rent-free in my brain for months now: They sat at the New Inn until the afternoon melted into evening, the sunlight thickened to a rich orange, and the late crowd began to trickle into the inn in chattering groups. I remember reading it late at night and immediately sitting up and going "oh hell yeah." This fic gives me that "walking to class in the fall semester and feeling the whole world passing you by and you have books to read and papers to write but you see your friend from across the quad and they wave at you and you wave back and everything is okay, maybe, because the leaves are turning and you're going to make it, dammit, you are going to make it" vibes. So the cover paper is from one of Michael's paper packs, called "Autumn Blaze."

HOWEVER, Banhus also mentioned that the paper looks like a sandy beach, and I'm smacking myself over the head for not doing that intentionally because yes! There's a lovely lovely scene at the end where Dream and Hob are lounging on the shore of the Dreaming and are finally, finally figuring it out, and it's wonderful and so atmospheric and I am 100% going to pretend that my paper choice here was tailored for that scene specifically XD

Titling is permanent adhesive vinyl cut by my Cricut, Charlotte, with hand-drawn "bolding" around each letter done with my uniball Signo white gel pen. And since I've been trying to get better at documenting my fonts, the titling for this one was Perpetua Titling MT, and the body was my go-to Garamond my beloved.

As a bonus, here is my first go at binding this fic, but in quarto letter size instead of legal! Smol :3

Time to finish some designs/sketches I pulled out of my abandoned WIP folder! And just in time for all the P3 Reload hype!

I noticed some parallels between Personas 3-5 and the Pokemon games, so the SEES in Sinnoh AU has been living in my head rent free for AGES.

These aren't their full teams, but just their aces. I essentially went "What if their Personas were Pokemon?" and did them in whichever order they came to mind. They'd be building teams around them.

Basically the parallels are: Mt Coronet is Tartarus, Spear Pillar is the altar at the top where you fight Nyx/Appraiser, Team Galactic is an underground branch of the Kirijo Group (Cyrus=Ikutsuki, the three Commanders are Strega), Giratina is Thanatos/Death...and the Lake Trio's affiliation with the human psyche seems appropriate given the cognitive creatures in the Persona series.

I couldn't decide whether Mitsuru should be from Hearthome or Snowpoint. But I'm leaning more towards the former, because it's more bustling, and Mitsuru seems like a contest kind of gal...and Fuuka is basically like Ryley/Cheryl/Buck (since there's no real room for a navigator role in Pokemon).

Might also drop em in Legends Arceus if I feel like it...

Thoughts On Goku staying dead after Cell

So I don’t post much content but this has been in my head rent free for years, so i figured might as well try and use it to change that habit.

Something that is always discussed is how bad of a choice it was for Goku to say dead. In just about all ways this is true. The earth had peace that had nothing to do with Goku not being on earth, Goten didn’t grow up knowing his dad, Gohan never seemed to get over his guilt from cell, and Vegeta never had a chance to find any resolution to the darkest parts of his life before Bobbity took advantage of it. So why do I always feel like coming back after Cell doesn’t feel like something Goku would do?

I thought about that a lot, and recently I realized why I felt this way. I don’t think Goku ever forgives himself. Now a lot of who Goku is is forgiveness, but he only ever forgives people who he thinks can do better. Goku always pushes himself to do better, but its never enough to keep the peace. When Goku was young he broke his grandpas rule and then grandpa Gohan was killed. When krillin first died it was because he went to get Goku’s dragon ball. Every time someone Goku loves gets hurt it was because of him (In his eyes) and i can’t imagine that finding out that he didn’t just get his grandpa killed, but killed him himself helped that in the slightest. All this was just in dragon ball. In Z the stakes just kept getting higher and higher while still being because of himself.

What makes Goku decide that someone can’t do better is always consistent. They keep making the cruel choice when they have both kindness and cruelty as options. Against King Piccolo he was fighting someone who hid as long as possible but kept making games out of people’s lives. Freeza tried to kill Goku after being shown mercy. Cell could have at anytime stop and hid if he truly didn’t want to go out of his way to hurt people, even after managing his main goal of his perfect form. And Goku, while he kept getting his friends killed. He approved of his son getting beat half to death because he didn’t know him as well as he thought he did. He let Freeza survive after Namek because he never put his all in killing him. He almost got Gohan killed by Raddits because he spared his brother once. Even if he meant well Goku has always been a simple enough guy that he views events by how they work out more than anything else. Because things worked out well enough he never had a reason to remove himself. Then he died with no hanging threat and also had no reason to hurt his friends anymore.

Goku I think really thought that he hurt his friends more than he helped them. I think we can see what seeing the world have 7 years of true peace with out him did to his mindset in the Buu saga. This is a Goku who saw the world at peace for longer then it ever had been since he first left Mt. Pazu. A Goku that saw his friends all got to build happy lives with him gone. A Goku who wanted to make sure there was no reason for him to stay so that he would make his friends be hurt because of him anymore. So he gets Trunks and Goten ready to be all the world needs. After all he is back for one day and he ruins Bulma’s family. Vegeta used Bobbity in order to fight Goku after all. Vegeta died because goku held back against him. Gohan “died” because he assumed he was strong enough to have things be right the first time. And he was wrong again.

Goku makes plans so very different then he does against any other villian against Buu. He makes plans to use the dragon balls first insteid of as back ups. He doesn’t even try to out train Buu. He doesn’t want to risk not being strong enough after he the fusion ended. We don’t see Goku acting like his normal self until the fight against Kid Buu. I think thats because of 2 factors, the first is that its a really fun fight for him. Kid Buu is a monster but isn’t actively cruel, just a kid who tantrums threatens everything. Then we have the super spirit bomb. The first time where the world was stronger than goku at his best. I think to him this was proof that he wasn’t alone in either victory or defeat. The be all end all of what earth could do. And the earth all together was stronger than Goku imagined possible. Irrefutable proof that there was ALWAYS some way to get better, a way to save the day. The first day I think Goku could look at his life and really appreciate the fact that he saved the world, that it meant something that he did.

Personally I think this would also help explain his much more lax personality in super compared to the end of Z. Goku was able to forgive himself and was then able to just do what he enjoyed by training and spending time with all the people in the world he loved. He is looked back and didn’t find blame in his faults, for probably the first time since he lost his grandfather.

TLDR: Goku stayed dead because mercy and forgiveness is the same to him, and he had a lot to blame himself for.

Lewis Hine's Photography

Lewis Hine was a sociologist and photographer who documented laborers and the conditions they worked in across America in the early 1900's. He was a staff photographer for the National Child Labor Committee for a while, and he photographed child laborers in an effort to enact social and legal reforms to protect children.

Several of his photographs live rent free in my head, so I'm putting them here!

Newsies at Skeeters Branch, St. Louis, Missouri

This is probably the photo I think about the most. Newsboys were considered independent contractors, and so weren't subject to labor laws. Any papers they bought, they couldn't sell back, so if they didn't sell all their papers for the day, they had a loss. Hine took several pictures of newsboys.

Breaker boys, as the name implies, broke large chunks of coal into more uniform sizes and sorted out impurities. Breaker boys were mainly children, though elderly and injured miners would also sometimes be employed as breakers. Boys might start as a breaker boy, but as they got older, they would often move on to different, more physically demanding jobs in the mine.

Not all of Hine's pictures were of children. He took plenty of pictures of adults, too. This one is pretty spectacular, and very dramatically named.

I really like this one because of the row of doll legs. It's amusing to look at. That, and the worker has massive arms. Fabulous.

Power House Mechanic

Another worker with excellent arms. According to the Brooklyn Museum, "The clean muscularity and precise industrial order presented by Lewis Hine in Power House Mechanic demonstrates the photographer’s shift, in 1919, from a gritty documentary style to what he called “interpretive photography”—an approach intended to raise the stature of industrial workers, who were increasingly diminished by the massive machinery they operated."

I love pictures of old schools. My favorite are when all the students and the teacher are lined up in front of the school. This one has the kids inside the school, which is just as good. Here is a little history about African-American schools in Henderson County, Kentucky, which is where Anthoston is located.

jan 2023: final fantasy x (2001)

i'm on this little kick of revisiting properties that made me Feel Something when i was a kid and convinced me to go into media production in the first place, and at some point i realized that for how much i love and know about final fantasy ... i only ever played most of x-2, a chunk of ix, and the vincent spinoff that made me so motion sick i couldn't even get five hours in.

so! i picked up the x/x-2 remaster.

for a game old enough to drink in the states, the mechanics aged surprisingly well. the turn-based combat requires more prep than execution and is thoughtful and methodical, the sphere grid you use to level is really rewarding to traverse, and i love the melodrama of the summons. i did get a little annoyed with the sheer volume of random encounters, but you can always call tidus and flee.

the story is poetry to me, though. it's earnest in a way that i think was too cringe/goofy for 2001 (everyone's latched on to that damn laughing scene but it WORKS IN CONTEXT, i SWEAR), and i think it has to be earnest for the sake of its own narrative.

without spoilers (because i do actually want people to play this 20-year-old game), it's a story about a boy thrown out of time joining a young summoner on her pilgrimage to save the world from a creature called sin. this is the cycle of spira: there is a calm, and then sin returns to wreak havoc all over again. thematically it's a story about what happens when people refuse to let go and pass the torch, and the corruptibility of the human spirit. it's also a sweet little romance between two young heroes, and what love and hope can do to break a predestined cycle of divine tragedy.

would recommend to: people who love stories about dismantling norms, romance, found family, and earnestness.

some spoiler-y callouts for things i particularly loved under the cut

the hymn of the fayth. it fucks, hands-down, no questions asked.

i love the way the turn-based combat and the whole golden path through the temples supports the ritualistic nature of the pilgrimage.

SPEAKING of the RITUALS, the final battle with yu yevon, where you cycle through all your aeons and take them down as he possesses them, lives rent-free in my head. it's on rails! you can't die! it's literally just there to complete the ritual of the encounter and close out the emotional arc of the summoner's pilgrimage! and then yu yevon isn't even a human, he's that weird tick-looking thing because he is so far gone, his humanity is so eroded, all that remains is this drive to survive and the ghost of an idea that only he could solve the sins of spira.

the real final battle was with jecht. and it fucking owns. the metal soundtrack, the fact that tidus can derail his overdrive, it happening in a fucked up version of the zanarkand stadium. compliments to the chef.

auron is the saddest man in all of fiction. his sending made me bawl. what an arc. in a world where the villains are the ghosts of men who refuse to let go of their megalomania, he simply finishes his quest and says "it's been long enough." tearing up thinking about it!

i like the little post credits cutscene. it was enough for me. i would have been happy with that.

again: i LIKE the laughing scene. it's GOOD. i'm PRO.

the budding friendship between kihmari and tidus is everything to me. when tidus gets slightly behind the group on mt gagazet and seymour's melodramatic ass shows up? kihmari runs in and says "save some for kihmari???"

anyway it's a good game and on steam go play it

9: kings tide LUZ VS BELOS!!! THIS WAS SUCH A DRAMATIC SCENE AND I LOVE IT. you can see luz’s fear and she’s desperately trying to hide it to try and be a bigger person than belos, but its sort of getting to her as belos mocks her while shes trying to set up an attack. the ending point where she almost gets petrified left me in tears but BAM. BRANDING GLOVE!!!!!

10: labyrinth runners: AMITY AND WILLOW AND GUS AND HUNTER VS ADRIAN AND THE COVEN SCOUTS!!!! THE SAILOR MOON REFERENCE AND AMITY AND WILLOW WORKING TOGETHER WAS MWAH. INCREDIVLE. I COULD GO ON FOR HOURS!!!!!

reminder that pls. this is not all of the fight scenes in the show- there are so many more and THEYRE ALL SO GOOD AND AMAZINF but these are my top ten!!!! EVERY SINGLE BIT OF THIS SHOW IS IN MY TOP TEN BUT IF I *HAD* TO LIST THEM!!

1. Job Description

I came to Shizuoka two years ago and has worked for Koito Manufacturing CO.,Ltd. as an engineer for the car head lamps. My main tasks are to design the electronic circuit (PCB) of the headlight, to check the PCB, and to test the switch function for high-beam and low-beam. I also investigate detailed facts such as whether or not the lamp can bear low and high temperatures to prevent fire or other serious damages to customers.

The electronic design of our products is carried out only in Shizuoka and USA. After the finalizng designs, headlights are manufactured in other factories to send our customers (automobile manufacturers). When any problem is found, products are sent from all over the world to the Shizuoka office, where I inspect the products to determine the cause of the trouble so that we can make improvements.

2. Why do you work in Shizuoka？

Oh, it’s just because I love Mt. Fuji !! In Shizuoka, I can see Mt. Fuji every day when the weather is good. So I chose Shizuoka as the base of my work. Now I can see Mt. Fuji even from my apartment. I also like Shizuoka because it is not as crowded as Tokyo. In Tokyo, trains and buses are jam-packed, but that is not the case here in Shizuoka. And the cost of living is cheaper, especially rent is only about 40,000 yen in Shizuoka, whereas it would cost about 100,000 yen in Tokyo.

Furthermore, there are many jobs available, especially for engineers , because many leading Japanese companies such as Yamaha and Suzuki have their headquarters in Shizuoka. It is about an hour from Tokyo, so it is very convenient.

Now that I live near the ocean, I can relax with a cup of coffee when I am tired from work. I can even take a walk along the beach without thinking about anything .

3. About the charms of Shizuoka

On weekends, I often take short trips around Mt. Fuji. Shiraito Waterfalls, Lake Tanuki, and Animal Farm are my refreshment destinations. I sometimes cycle there for hours, seeing Mt. Fuji and other beautiful sceneries. Shizuoka Prefecture has a well-maintained cycling road called the Pacific Cycling Road, which is always fun and safe and I have fun riding there. Regarding seafood, everything is super fresh !!

In spring, cherry blossoms bloom everywhere. Especially, Kawazu-zakura cherry blossom can be seen from February and I know lots of tourists from my country come there every year.

4. Message to readers

If you are tired of urban life and miss nature and the ocean, I would strongly recommend living in Shizuoka. I am stress-free and very relaxed with a daily view of Mt. Fuji, fresh seafood and wonderful local vegetables, a good job and a good weekend. You have nothing to worry about.

Online remote work system enables us to live wherever you want. If your work permits you to live anywhere in Japan, Shizuoka is definitely one option for your living base !!

The worst mission ever.

So... I just got back from a failed attempt to save some guy I barely even liked from getting recruited to voidco. It was such a fucking terrible time. I swear, it was like paradox space itself was conspiring against me or some shit!

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who went on that trip though, because I just know I would have gotten my ass handed to me and fucked up big time if I was alone. Come to think of it, maybe that's how that doomed version of me wound up dying. Also, I'm so fucking thankful my sister was with me every step of the way. Maybe not physically, but metaphysically she was always there to calm my nerves and back me up. She even appeared in a dream to throw a hugeass lemon party ball thing with some photos in it.

I'm still questioning why I even bothered to travel across time and space to be in the one place that holds the most importance to the integrity of the alpha timeline, especially to myself. What is it about that man that compelled me to take a journey like that? Was it really out of hate for voidco?

As for my history with Dylan... I never really got along with him very well. We met years ago, when I was trapped in a coma, thanks to the whims of some horrorterror that had it out for me for being related to a certain timespace bastard. It was actually in a nested dream that I met him. I had ended up in super smash bros and he was the first person I saw there. We were both mii fighters in that realm. I think he was actually trying to hit on me. From then on, he continued to give me hints and tips (Read as: the most annoying distractions ever) during all of my earlier matches, and even continued to contact me with the gossip stone when I returned to koholint. It always felt like he knew too much.

When I finally found all 8 siren instruments and presented them on top of mt tamaranch, it turned out that he was working with my late father on a plot to have him possess my body, using that shitty frog song while I was trying to play the ballad of the windfish.

I still don't forgive him for that, even if he does claim that its the reason why Korous exists. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure this was disproven. But regardless of this, I still felt the compulsion to try and save Dylan from himself? I want to say I didn't know it was another version of him, or that I assumed that the one present wasn't even related to him and was just somebody or something in disguise, but in hindsight it was denial and wishful thinking.

Dylan was always going to become the fucking CEO of voidco.

And how do I know this? When I tried to save him, he manifested a shitty ripoff imaginary copy of me to protect himself! An imaginary figure that had tormented me two halloweens in a row! One that had been known to have connections to voidco!

And to top it all off, the long haired businessman himself had his own version of that imaginary copy of me, and they looked a lot closer to the version that I encountered before!

I still wonder why he has a look-alike of me that lives rent-free in his head. What does it even take to do that? How obsessed do you even have to be to do that...

But yeah... Dylan is doomed to go to evil business school and become a vengeful war criminal and make countless people across the Gene universe suffer through soul sucking dungeons and capitalism bullshit, regardless of how redundant that is. And for what, glory and infamy? The cheap excuse that heroes need villains to remain heroic enough to not become just? I just...

I can't even with this guy.

And yet... I still want to save him. Even if I do hate everything he's done and everything he stands for.

sometimes I wish I had the nerve to actually kill him.

But he has caught feelings for you and isn’t afraid to show it.

As one of the librarians, you’ve spent the entire day returning books to their proper shelves and outside the sun is setting, casting a warm glow in the room when you hear a very suave voice calling you

Turning round with a few books piled up in your arms, you didn’t even realise he had come in but there he is, leaning against one of the bookshelves with his arms crossed and looking very handsome. He must have returned from a commission, but he doesn’t look exhausted at all. He’s holding a book in his hand but he isn’t reading it, and he quickly closes it and returns it to the shelf before turning to you

Whilst you’re wondering what he is doing here, he will greet you with a few words and a charming smile before asking you how your day is going

Every time you talk to Kaeya you always feel the air between you changing, it can get very tense

After the minor small talk, it’s kind of clear he’s here for a reason and he wants something

There’s virtually no-one in the library and it’s quiet and its really the perfect place. He’ll sigh and let you know he had wanted to see you all day but kept missing you, and now that he’s finally caught up to you, well…

He walks up to you and lean forwards, grasping your chin gently and tilting your face up to his level

“Kaeya?” You murmur.

He’ll shush you with a smile. “Do you know how much I’ve wanted this?”

“…Want what?”

“This.”

He gently brushes his lips over yours in a tender and soft kiss that leaves you wanting more when he pulls away. His lips feel very soft and warm and your lips mould together in a perfect fit.

As your heart pounds, he lets go of you and leaves with a smirk on his face

Zhongli

I have this headcanon where you’re his betrothed.

Geo daddy who lives rent free in my head wants to experience a mortal life, and he has to go through a trial like other mortal beings where he will experience mortal love and go through the agony and suffering of losing a loved one

This is where you come into the picture

You belong to an ancient sect called Emei who are tasked with protecting and taking care of you, dwelling in Mt Aozhang

Due to your status, no mortal is allowed to see you so you’re pretty much cooped up atop the mountain, spending most of the time gazing at the world below

It can get very lonely

Therefore when Mr Zhongli comes to visit you, you’re always so happy to see him and your helpers always ensure you are dressed well and looking your best whenever he arrives

You and Mr Zhongli have met occasionally, standing under the luscious shade of the trees or sitting by the pool to talk and spend time together. You’ve always enjoyed listening to him talking about Liyue’s history and culture. He will always bring you flowers too.

It went from simple chats whilst standing rather far apart, then eventually you were comfortable enough to sit quite closely together and have wine/tea, and finally, you went on walks whilst holding hands

Every time he leaves, you miss him very much

One day when he’s visiting, you think he feels the same because he gazes at you with such longing and you spend more time together than usual

Before he returns to Liyue, he kisses your hand. He would normally leave after bidding a fond farewell and a ‘until next time’, but he holds your gaze longer and brushes some hair from your face, caressing your cheek before leaning forwards and pressing his lips gently over yours

You’re left blinking wide-eyed but very much looking forward to his next visit

Diluc

If Diluc liked someone, he’s calm and quiet about it

No-one would even know he had a S/O or someone in mind

Lots of girls like him though he does not return the affection and they scream and cry, wishing he would look at them the way he looks at his falcon

And you actually had your first kiss with him

It was at night, and you’re the accountant of Dawn Winery so you were working late, going through the invoices with Master Diluc sitting beside you. It was just a normal day at work but you wonder if the rumours were true - that Master Diluc liked you

And you don’t remember falling asleep, but Diluc looks away from his book and glances at your direction when he feels a weight pressing against the side of his arm

And there you are, having fallen asleep on his shoulder with pen in hand and he lets out a gentle sigh, puts down his paperwork

He murmurs your name and gives you a shake but you don’t wake up

It’s getting really late so he lifts you out of the chair and into his arms so he can carry you to the guest room, when your head lolls over and your lips smacks over his mouth

So yes, accidental kiss haha!

You would think he gets flustered, his cheeks matching the colour of his hair - but Diluc is still calm despite this and carefully peels you off and you flop against his chest, and you wake up.

“Huh? W-What happened? Why am I…?” You mutter groggily, before you realise you’re in his arms and your mouth feels a bit wet; you automatically trace your fingers over your lips. You can taste grape juice. Huh???

“We kissed.” He says bluntly.

Childe

You are an agent of Fatui and you’re sent to look after him on a regular basis which is pretty annoying because that means you’re basically his babysitter

And he’s always up to no good and he likes to purposely wind you up and you usually get into trouble for it but he actually really likes you so you have this kind of love/hate relationship with him

He looks easy-going on the outside but deep inside he’s thirsty for blood and lives for the thrill of da kill, and on this occasion you’re both going to train together and this will totally give you an opportunity to clap his cheeks but he gets super hyped from battle so you will have your first kiss in the most unlikely places

Essentially when you’re sparring together, Childe is fighting as if he wanna kill you and you’re doing your best to either defend or retaliate but oh my Archon, he’s a Harbinger for a reason - and the kiss happens very spontaneously but most likely when he’s swept you off your feet and you’re seeing things upside down but if you’re going down, you’re gonna bring him with you and you manage to hook your leg around his ankle and he goes tumbling

You land on your back with a loud, painful thud

When you open your eyes, he’s lying on top of you

You’re not used to him being so close and on top of you as well, and it appears neither is he

In fact, he looks a little shocked for a brief moment (an expression you’ve never seen before) but he’s quick to react and he’s smirking.

Panting heavily, he goes, “Hah...hah...what’s with that look on your face?”

You’re so stunned by this close proximity, you can’t even utter a single syllable and he’s not fooling anyone either with his act

And as you both continue to stare at each other, his grin slowly vanishes and suddenly he’s looking at you with half-lidded eyes before he slides his gaze to your mouth.

Before you can speak, he leans down and kisses you roughly

As quickly as he had kissed you, he is hasty to retreat and you’re left gawking.

He gets up to stand, his hydro blades vanishing upon his will. He throws a quick glance at you from over his shoulder and tells you practise is over.

As he leaves, he licks his lips and traces his thumb over his bottom lip

i am being completely serious when i say i cannot stop thinking about the fucking grinch. i cannot stop thinking about the ramifications of an 8 year old running away to live on a mountain and literally no one stopping him. cannot stop wondering if anyone bothered to look for him. the theory that the grinch found Max in the trash because Max was given as a present and no one wanted him when he grew up lives rent free in my head. Its apparently common knowledge that the grinch lives up on Mt. Krumpit because Cindy Lou finds him very easily so what excuse does anyone in the town have for allowing him to grow up alone on a mountain? Did his moms even try reaching out?
