SKZ as oddly specific love languages

i have an 80 pages thesis to write but this is what i do instead........

Chan : reminding you to take your medicine

whenever you are sick this man would turn his dad mode ON

he would put alarms in his phone for your medicine and reminds you to take them each day. without fault.

lowkey takes better care of you than he takes care of himself

if it's a nasty medicine, he will send you something along the lines of 'i know it tastes like shit but you can do it baby!!'

will congratulate you as if you've achieved a big milestone when you just took your medicine, but it's so endearing????

bonus : would search up what vitamins you might need and buys them for you because he needs you to be healthy, always

Minho : holding your hair while you vomit

being sick is never fun but minho is extra gentle with you during those days

if you get dizzy and need to vomit multiple times, he'd sit down with you on the bathroom floor, your head on his lap while he plays with your hair gently

and whenever you get the urge to puke, he'll hold your hair for you and rub soothing circles on your back

1. Mammon

No matter how many times you tell him to put some on, he refuses. "It looks funny and I hate the feelin' !" Hours later he regrets it of course and whines about how much it hurts and how it'll affect his modeling gig tomorrow. "I would've helped rub it all over you!"

"W-well why didn't ya say that sooner!"

2. Levi

Actually applies sunscreen but it wasn't enough for the shut-in. He's use to swimming around in his room but he underestimated the wrath of the sun. "Well I'm gonna be in the water most of the time so it's fine!" ...Now he's crying in his room about how normie activities are always a bad idea.

3. Lucifer

This responsible™️ demon put on some sunscreen and laid under an umbrella. He admired the ocean view and shared quite a few drinks, laughing and chatting with Diavolo and the others. He fully relaxed! Once they left to do other activities he grabbed a book and fell asleep...unaware of the Anti-Lucifer Leagues plans. He woke up sunburned with no umbrella in sight. 😔

4. Simeon

Bless this angel, really. All he ever wants to do is help. While helping Luke and some of the others apply some sunscreen, the poor angel forgot about himself and everyone forgot to offer as they one by one went to partake in beach activities! (*shakes fist* a national outrage I say!!)

5. Belphie

Was too lazy to apply any but Beel and Simeon helped. Like Levi, it wasn't enough through out the day though. After a particularly long nap in the sun, he too woke up sunburned. (To Lucifers amusement of course lmao)

6. Beel

Might've sampled the sunscreen because it smelled really good. Small sunburn. Occasionally forgot to reapply and the poor thing should've gotten a stronger spf. He also missed a few spots when he tried to apply it himself when Belphie or Simeon were unavailable. 😔

7. Satan

Gets only a tiny sunburn, nothing too noticeable. He would forget to reapply every so often due to being so absorbed in his book but his sunscreen was a particularly good one, perfect for his skin type.

8. Diavolo (Everyone from here on is tied)

Barbatos would never let Diavolo get sunburned. He had the Little Ds help apply sunscreen to the giant demon before they left for the beach. If it weren't for Barbatos though, the demon would forget to apply some through out the day due to having fun.

9. Barbatos

Failing to apply sunscreen to Diavolo or himself would tarnish his name, it'd be unbefitting for a butler and he would never be able to forgive himself. He is meticulous on how it's applied and when and only uses the absolute best he can get.

10. Luke

There is no way Simeon (or anyone) would let the young angel play around without sunscreen. They make sure to apply every half hour & keep him hydrated. He complains about it of course and just wants to go back to play in the water or make sand sculptures.

11. Solomon

Asmo took his chance and helped the sorcerer apply sunscreen. There was not an inch that was not properly applied and he made sure to re-apply through out the day. 🤭 If it weren't for Asmo though, this man would burn and brush it off.

12. Asmo

You will never see this man sunburned. It does not exist. He brought all different types of sunscreen, re-applies, and still limits his time in the sun. The day he gets sunburned is the day he never gets seen again.

we're back with more south asian!ballister headcanons

part one is here

I did not expect such a positive reaction to part one, so here are some more that I wrote down while going about my day today!

starting with building on what I was doing in part one, relating to the transition to primarily speaking urdu to always speaking english

sometimes ballister forgets english words for things

now, there are two routes you can go with this

either, A, he does that thing where he snaps his fingers a few times to remember

eg, "And then I picked up that," Ballister trailed off, snapping his fingers a few times in frustration. "What's it called? Unda..." he furrowed his brow. Ambrosius tilted his head, "Unda?" he echoed. Ballister waved a hand. "That's the Urdu word for it..." he snapped his fingers definitively, face brightening. "Egg! It's an egg."

or, option B, he just makes crap up

think those videos by Dez the Lez on youtube where she talks about her mother making up random phrases in english to describe words that she forgot (eg. "horse tornado" for carousel)

for example, "Where's my hydration unit?" Ballister asked, opening a cabinet, closing it, then opening another. Nimona stared at him. "Hydration unit?" "You know, the thing," Ballister clicked his tongue as he spoke, as if he was making even a lick of sense. "The hydration capsule." Ambrosius looked up from the book he was reading. "Do you mean a water bottle?" "Water bottle, right!" Ballister laughed, as if it was totally normal to call a water bottle a hydration unit. "Where is it?" "You left it in our room," Ambrosius said offhandedly. Ballister sighed. "Thanks," he said, then left to go find it. Nimona gaped at Ambrosius. "How?" she breathed. "How the hell did you get 'water bottle' from 'hydration unit'??" Ambrosius shrugged. "You get used to it."

both are great options

while option B is way funnier and opens up more opportunities for fics, I think option A might be a little more in character

or he just alternates between the two. that is absolutely an option.

uh, fun fact, I myself have actually called a water bottle a hydration unit before, but I think that's more of me being a dumbass than anything because english is my first language LMAO

chai. ballister LOVES chai.

he is more devoted to chai than he is to ambrosius (/J /J /THAT WAS A JOKE)

if he sees starbucks "chai tea latte" or whatever they call it in his house he is KICKING YOU OUT

ambrosius's favorite hobby is to hug ballister from behind while he's stirring the chai pot and it's a very warm and cozy moment that smells like chai and it is one of their favorite things to do, both during their institute days and post-canon

there was also this one time ambrosius and ballister were kissing (actually, they were probably making out) and the chai boiled over because they were too distracted to tend to it, but the two of them try not to bring that incident up

at first, nimona made fun of ballister for his mildly obsessive chai drinking ("tea?? you're drinking tea?? my god, how old are you? just hop in the senior center now")

then, he finally just forced her to try some, and suddenly he was making three cups instead of just two

and on the topic of drinks,

ballister also really loves mangos, and has fond memories of climbing huge mango trees as a kid and picking them (this memory is stolen from my pakistani dad, shoutout to him akjdhaskj)

this has led to a love of mango juice

he knows ALL the brands. ALL OF THEM.

his favorite is Shezan, because let's be real, Shezan is the best mango juice and I CAN AND WILL throw hands on this

I can vividly imagine ambrosius and ballister grocery shopping and ballister asks ambrosius to go grab some mango juice and ambrosius returns with like the first thing he saw on the shelf and Ballister took the bottle from Ambrosius and examined it. "This one?" he asked skeptically. "Uh, yes?" Ambrosius chuckled. "It was the first one I saw." "This one has a strange aftertaste," Ballister said idly, putting it back on the shelf. Instead, he selected a pack of juice boxes. "These are the best." He then started to ramble about other brands and their pros and cons, but Ambrosius barely heard him. He was fairly certain that, if he were a cartoon character, he'd be making heart eyes at Ballister. Ballister noticed, trailing off when he caught Ambrosius's gaze. He tilted his head to the side. "What?" Ambrosius felt an uncontrollable smile spreading across his face. "Nothing." Ballister watched Ambrosius for another second before snorting out a small laugh and ducking his head to break eye contact. They moved on after that, but Ambrosius made sure to commit the brand name of that mango juice to memory after that.

mango juice is important, alright? bad mango juice is a crime.

this is already super long, but here's one more I sometimes see people talking about

kajul. kohl. whatever you want to call it, ballister uses it.

okay, let me get something straight. sometimes I see fics where one character puts kohl on another, and I just wanna say I could NEVER

for those of you who think kohl is like an eyeliner, it's not. not really.

grab a mirror, and pull your bottom eyelid down. the lower eyelid that connects to your bottom lashes? THAT'S where the kohl goes.

my sister is the one who introduced kohl to me, and she was like "okay storm, you can use mine, but I can't put it on you" to which I responded "wait, why not?" and she showed me where it goes and let me tell you I GASPED in that public bathroom

needless to say I chickened out and did not end up wearing kohl that evening

but enough about me

ballister boldheart is a braver man than me

kohl is cool because it's a culturally, historically, completely inarguably gender-neutral makeup product which is so awesome tbh

anyways he wears it fairly often and it really brings out his stupid gigantic sad wet kitten eyes

ambrosius adores it

nimona wants to try putting it on but ballister is paranoid she'll stab herself in the eye, despite her complaints that she can just "form a new one"

this was, again, so much longer than I expected, but I still have more headcanons! I'll probably make a part three soonish, but until then, enjoy these!

I just need to practice his characterization before I feel confident enough to post.

“Oh my god,” she stood up, cupping Nanami’s face as he opened the door. “You look like shit.” Nanami tried to giggle, melting to her touch. “Yeah, well I feel like shit.”

She grabbed Nanami’s hand and led him over to the couch, letting him fall into her arms. “Tell me about it, love.” Her voice was soft, like an angel. Kento loved her for that.

He could feel himself tearing up just at the thought of his stressful day. Nanami was used to stress, but this was definitely beyond that limit he had set for himself.

Her eyes watched him gently, not wanting to rush him, but definitely ready to listen. Nanami took a deep breath and turned to her, taking off his glasses. “I just-” He couldn't even let a word out before he began sobbing, falling into her arms.

She rubbed his arm, making little shushing sounds at the top of his head, just letting him let everything out of his system. “Kento, my love?” “Y-Yes?” He sniffed, sitting up and rubbing his tear filled eyes. “How does a bath sound? Then we can just fall asleep in each other’s arms.”

Nanami turned to her with a loving look in his eyes. “Please?”

“Is this warm enough, Kento?” Nanami giggled, standing at the edge of the tub. “You’ve asked me that six times now.” “I know, I know, but you keep wanting me to change it. I want it to be perfect for you, my love.”

She stood up, satisfied with the temperature she set it at and added some bubbles to the mix before walking up to Nanami. She placed a small, but loving kiss on his cheek and began to unbutton his shirt with a small smirk on her face. He giggled nervously and turned away with a bright red face. He always seemed to forget about his stress whenever he was flustered.

The moment her warm hands touched his body, however, as she led him into the tub, he felt his whole body relax.

“Alright, Kento, I'm going to go get you some wine, maybe cheese and crackers. Enjoy your bath, love.” “What?” Nanami was pulled from his relaxed state. “You can't leave. Get in the bath with me.” She smiled and turned to him. “I thought that you wanted to just chill.” “Not without you, dear.” She giggled and slipped off her clothes. “I was hoping you’d say that.”

Nanami felt so at peace. His favorite human being pulled close and wrapped in his arms, her body touching his. He wouldn't give this up for the world. He smiled and sank into the tub, dozing off for what felt like hours.

When he woke up, Nanami was in his bed, wrapped tightly in her sleeping arms. Her lips were pressed against his shoulder and he stretched. He didn't know how he ended up there, but he did know one thing. All that stress that was pent up from the time he got home definitely wasn't there anymore.

First: I checked your Tumblr and the post on the forum but I didn't see anything so I'm wondering what we should refer to you as? (It feels a bit weird to always say "dear author" and the likes, unless that's something you'd prefer of course!)

Second: I love the character posts you've already done and talking about the ROs I'm wondering if you could--if you have time, no rush there--post a color palette for skin colors? I read the text but I always have a hard time getting it from that alone 🥲

3rd: what sort of voices does everyone have? (Rough, smooth, melodic, etc. ) Maybe you even have some voice actors in mind what you'd think they would sound like? Though I personally only really recognize Japanese VAs, I would gladly Google anyone else lmao

happy new year (although this reply is a few days late oops) i’m really glad that you like my sorry attempt at an IF!! here are my answers under the cut because its pretty long!!

one: you can refer to me as pingu (i just decided that today) for now!! but i do like being called dear author as well <3

two: i will try my best for a skin colour palette, but here’s a warning that my eye for anything colour related is absolutely awful. trying to do those moodboards was an emotional rollercoaster. but because you asked i will try my best. please remember that these are only my take on the subject, and you’re free to have some artistic freedom with where you take it!!

^^ this was an awful struggle and should probably just be used as a suggestion because i am an absolute clown when it comes to colour. please just use it as a reference for the light to dark and warm to neutral skin tones!!

three: i’ll try putting a mixture of kpop idols here together with japanese vas, so you can hear them speak in a normal tone!! japanese vas tend to exagerrate a lot in their delivery, which is not how i imagine them to speak in real life hoho. most of the kpop idols voices come from the group ateez, who are around the ages of most of the characters mentioned

hansol: warm to people he is close with. his voice feels like the gentle heat of a fire after spending a long time out in the cold. tends to speak politely and use proper language, but there’s a certain liveliness to his tone. his voice references are ateez’s yunho and hino satoshi

insu: his voice is always sharp and cold, like the edge of a steel blade. he speaks briskly, always prioritizing efficiency. not afraid to swear at anyone, including the emperor. his voice references are ateez’s yeosang and yuki kaji (specifically his todoroki voice, not eren yeager)

yongsun: listening to his voice feels like you’re sitting next to a running stream alone at night, moonlight ripping off the waters. he always speaks calmly, seemingly able to make any situation feel lighter with a single sentence, and each word contains a certain quiet self confidence. his voice references are kaedehara kazuha (nobunaga shimazaki) and kamisato ayato (akira ishida)

wooyoung: lighthearted and playful. there’s are little ups and downs to his cadence that makes you feel as though the sun is shining on you, beckoning you to play outside. he might not sound like the refined gentleman he’s supposed to be, but his voice is enjoyable to listen to. his pitch isn’t very low, and sounds youthful. his voice reference is ateez’s wooyoung (wow)

Thanks @levmada Gee!! I got too into it and did the whole event lmao. wasn't really sure how to frame this since it's a submission but we'll go with bullets points:

I always picture modern Levi with some tattoos. Something small to honor his mother or something from his time living on the streets. So this man knows about them. He knows the pain. He knows how to care for them, knows just how itchy and awkward the healing process can be afterwards.

If it's your first tattoo, or even if it's not, I think Levi would worry. He wouldn't show it too outwardly, but he's not sure exactly what your pain threshold is compared to his. He spends a couple days before hand casually tracing his eyes along your skin, following the thin blue lines of veins. He wonders, do you have thin skin? If it's going to be over a bone, he'd especially be worried about your pain.

He will be there. Especially if you're at all worried about the pain yourself. He'll call off of work if he needs to.

Nags you to eat well before hand and hydrate.

Levi trusts your judgement, so you picked the place you wanted yourself. You've heard good things, seen some gorgeous examples of their work online. Even so he may or may not have looked at their negative reviews, wary of any bad experiences or hygiene complains. The moment the two of you walk in for the appointment, his eyes are sweeping the place for the littlest hint of dirt. He will suggest you cancel at the first sign of any red flags. But, thankfully the coast is clear, which takes a bit of the weight off his shoulders.

He holds your hand during it. Obviously. You don't even need to reach out for him to ask. His thumb slowly rubs along the back of your hand, eyes locked to your face. You can squeeze him as hard as you need to.

It's your body, your decision, so Levi wouldn't mind at all if you have to expose yourself a bit for the tattoo. As long as you're comfortable with it -and he makes sure you are- he is. He will cover you with his jacket if you seem a bit hesitant or even chilly. That's the whole reason he brought it.

Levi isn't really much of a speaker when out in public, especially around strangers. He tends to be gruff and terse, side eyeing people more than anything. When the buzzing starts, the needle digging into your skin, and you whimper quietly, eyes squeezing shut, he struggles. It's a bit difficult for him to speak openly, the stranger right there and your pain building a huge ball of worry in his throat, but he tries to speak softly for you.

At first he tries to make jokes, little quips to try to get your mind off of it. A soft, "You look like your taking a shit." or "Didn't think you were such a baby."

As the pain gets worse, the needle running over already sore skin, you grimace right beneath his worried gaze. Forgetting the stranger completely, he coos softly, "You're doing so well. We're almost done, just a little bit more." And his grip on your hand becomes so achingly tight, outweighing your own pained clasp.

He remains calm, stoic as usual, but you can see the concern in his face. It's not anything that the artist could ever notice, something in the curve of his eyes, the tilt of his brow. It's something only you can notice because you've known him so long.

He talks and talks. In order to distract you, he goes on about his day, recalling for you all of the little stupid things his coworkers have done recently. He's said before that he's not a good story teller, but that's not true. The things he notices are simply different and you're drawn in by the little world he creates with his just voice.

He tells you about how Hange already has a chip in their new glasses. That they'd heard an odd noise coming from the ceiling of their office, assumed it was a squirrel, and had immediately gone on a quest to attempt to capture it. "It was a huge fat fucking raccoon. The freak wanted to keep it as an office pet. Moblit had to go to the fucking ER."

He tells you about the time Erwin had come to work with his shirt inside out, buttoned up and all. "He had a big meeting with the regional manager that day too. Good thing it was over Zoom or that prissy shit would've noticed." You laugh, imagining the giant blond flushed with embarrassment, "You didn't warn him?" "I did.. after."

It works. Just Levi keeping your attention, silvery gaze locked with your own, away from where the ink is painfully etching your skin, helps. You're so entranced by the soft melodic timber of his voice, his eyes sparkling as he speaks, the way his thumb lovingly caresses the back of your hand, that the time passes in the blink of an eye.

Afterwards, you're giddy. Full of so much adrenaline that you're borderline punch-drunk. Loopy even. Levi hovers behind you, guiding you out of the establishment with a hand on the small of your waist.

Even though he has a couple of tattoos himself, Levi knows he tends to react differently to things. His pain threshold is high, he never feels any common side affects. So, before you'd even officially made the appointment, he'd googled common after effects of getting a tattoo. He memorized the list of symptoms for tattoo flu. With one hand holding you steady, wary of you wobbling from a sudden bout of dizziness, he guides you into the passenger seat of his car.

This man is a natural caregiver. Having spent his childhood caring for his sickened mother, he's a natural at watching your face and predicting what you want or need. Just watching you, he can tell that you're off. He knows what is going to follow this energetic high.

As a surprise, he treats you to ice cream afterwards. Usually, there's a hard rule of no food in his car. Even carry-out has to be put in his trunk. But it's okay, "Just this time. You did well. You deserve it."

The adrenaline high doesn't last. Even with sugar rushing through your veins, a severe crash hits before you know it. You feel hot, heavy and achy. Exhausted, your eyes unbelievably heavy before you even make it home.

Levi diligently guides you onto the couch. You sink into it like you're planning on burrowing a hole into the soft cushions. Head lulled to the side, you blink and Levi is suddenly there, pushing a glass on water into your hands. He watches, making sure you drink all of it.

The two of you spend the rest of the day cuddling, his warm side against your own. He checks you for a fever a few times, diligently pressing a quick kiss to your forehead after. When you get chills, he pulls you in closer, tucking a thick blanket around your legs. He makes sure you eat another hearty meal again later, before bed, wary of the bit of blood loss you've had.

Aware of your fresh wound, Levi completely adjusts how he sleeps, switching positions so that you can rest on your uninjured side. He does it automatically, without even a thought. He's more than happy to have you sleeping on top of him, if that's more comfortable for you.

Once the tattoo is less tender, he personally takes care of it. The first time is overly cautious, his fingers gentle, wary of causing you any more pain. It's actually something he enjoys, rubbing his fingers along the new marking, spreading cool lotion onto your skin. It's unerringly intimate, a closeness he's never experienced before. He loves it. He loves you.

The two of you unfortunately can't spend all of your time together, with obligations of work/school. The day after, Levi sends a quick "How are you feeling?" It's short. Cute. Especially since he's barely made it two hours into the day before sending it. Adorable. But you could never tell him that. He texts you every couple of hours to make sure you're putting lotion on the aching skin. Twice a day simply isn't good enough for him. It's kind of silly, he seems more aware of the tattoo than you are.

Once it starts to scab, aching and itching constantly, Levi only gets more insistent on caring for you. He worriedly traces the skin with his fingers, slick with lotion, feeling for any odd bumps or swells. It's unnecessary, this tattoo has probably been the most cared for in history.

It becomes a ritual at night, as you lay together beneath the bedsheets, limbs heavy with lassitude. He traces the lines, slowly dragging his fingertips across your skin long after the wound is fully healed. Sometimes, when your lingering in the haziness between sleep and awake, you catch him doing it with a soft smile on his lips.

Maybe you can convince him to get one next? So you can take care of him next time?

im finally sick of my brain being shitty enough to make an appointment with a psychiatrist, but in the meantime i thought i might ask you this: in your wonderful answer to my ask re writer's block you mentioned burnout, which im pretty sure is whats happening to me. i dont want to ask you to give me a long answer if you dont have the energy for it, but i would like to know your thoughts on the matter. its been head empty hours over here 24/7 for months, lol, i miss creating

Helloooo,

I actually have written about burnout quite a bit because I've gone through burnout er, quite a bit... In fact I'm going through it again right now.

I have written a fairly long post about it in the past, so that's there if you want to read it.

I've had different kinds of burnout. I've had 'I couldn't write for years' burnout (literally, after university I just couldn't write anything for years and just assumed it was dead and gone because I didn't want to do it either), I've had burnout that's lasted months (even while like...writing as I am now), and so on.

A lot of dealing with burnout is just...resting more. Taking the pressure off yourself more. Grieving that you can't create right now without guilt-tripping yourself for it, a sort of 'I mourn that I can't do it, but there's nothing wrong with me and I am not failing because I can't do it. I need rest and care.' You can try little writer's block tricks here and there when you want to prod again. You can try other kinds of creativity. I can't write like I used to write, so I tried fanfiction. I can't write like I used to write fanfiction, which is why I've never written another Game Theory, because I just...don't want to write another story like that right now (I mean specifically all the sex every chapter, not the politics lmao). I've been feeling an urge to write poetry lately.

For you, through burnout, low-stakes creativity may help. Stuff that can be automatic (cross-stitch kits, where you're just doing someone else's pattern and don't need to really think about it beyond the stitching), colouring books. Or stuff that's low-stakes for you. For me that's often poetry. For you it might be something else.

I also think of getting through burnout where I can't create anything as needing to 'refill the well.' I catch up on shows I've been missing (writing as much as I do actually gives me no time for reading / watching media), I read books, I watch movies, I listen to new music and comfort music, etc. If my well is empty, rest will partially fill it, but so will inspiration. Watching Studio Ghibli for example almost always makes me think 'I want to write the way this makes me feel' - even if I don't write it, that little urge is like, a pulse or spark of alive-ness that gives the well a drop more inspiration for when I'm ready to write again.

It's very different for everyone though. It's important to address the basics - sleep, medications, quality of life, hydration, being well-fed, health (as much as health is possible) etc. If you're anxious and have insomnia and skip meals and forget to drink water etc. then it's back to square one with just...doing your best there. If that's mostly covered, then burnout is often just about meaningfully resting your mind.

I'd also add that there's different kinds of rest. Physical rest (sleeping / stretching), sensory rest (unplugging from screens and social media and overstimulation), emotional rest (time and space to express your feelings), spiritual rest (connecting with something greater than yourself - going into nature, community, giving, meditation etc.), mental rest (breaks, journalling), creative rest (like the cross-stitch and stuff I mentioned above) and social rest (spending relaxing time with people who love you as you are now).

So it's also worth looking at maybe... you're only focusing on one or two kinds of rest right now. Sometimes burnout requires that you address more of them. <333

There's no easy way through, because rest is the easiest way through, and rest is very hard (and not always possible to the degree we need it) for all of us in this day and age. Be gentle with yourself. I wasn't going to write a post as long as this but actually as someone who needs to hear these things myself right now, maybe you might need to hear some of them as well.

The main thing is burnout doesn't last forever, it's cyclical, it's not like chronic fatigue, or other chronic illnesses. Even people with chronic fatigue (like me!) can experience burnout cycles. So this will pass! You may not feel like writing again in the same way, and that's okay, whatever new version of you evolves out of your current exhaustion, I hope you enjoy that version of yourself, and learn to care for and show compassion to the current version of your tired self as well <3

How he starts to care (a lot) about what y/n thinks and when he forgets to drink the blood bags even after his time is up. He's so cute in that fic I love it and the plot is fun and engaging.

wahhh merry christmas, inbox-marikenyo :DDD!!! i saw this ask on christmas eve but during then i too was also drunk off a few cocktails and promptly passed out a little bit later orz

i had a great noche buena!! i kept falling into a food coma because i kept eating so much, as the lord intended <3 JHVSKJHFVSD. i hope you also had a great christmas eve and are having a lovely christmas day today ^w^

and as for ur q, my first Real drinking experience was at a party i went to on my last year of college actually in 2020 right before the pandemic hit omg, kinda "late" by some people's standards. i say Real drinking experience, cuz prior to that party i did drink sometimes, but never enough to get drunk!

at that party though, i was with my girlfriend and it was the party of her college org and i was continually handed drinks. i Definitely Got Drunk.

what did i drink? no idea. a mutual friend of my gf and i was mixing the drinks and i never ask whats in stuff, i just drink whatever tastes sweet enough or is drowned in enough soda that i can stomach the bitterness of whatever alcohol content is within.

how was i when i was drunk? the same way i am when i get drunk nowadays: absolute disaster jahsfvasfhasvkfjh. i tend to get loud and lose all my filter when im drunk. also clingy. two things i remember clearly at that party are

1 ) my girlfriend went to the bathroom and i sat on the floor texting another friend about how i missed my girlfriend So Much and i love her So Much. later, when my gf had to leave early before me, i loudly announced "IM GOING HOME, MY GIRLFRIEND IS GONE SO I DONT WANNA BE HERE ANYMORE"

2 ) i was talking to the mutual friend who was mixing the drinks and he was talking about how he plays billiards. i remembered how billiards gloves looked like (it's like a normal glove but two fingers are out in the open) and i said something along the lines of "oh my god so you wear the WHORE GLOVES. why are billiards gloves so fucking SLUTTY"

thats pretty much how i am when im drunk up to this day ajhfvajshf but i seldom drink enough to get to That point, basically only at parties since like, im not the one paying for the drinks LMAO. when i drink lots, i get drunk. but when i drink little, i just get sleepy.

and when i drink enough to get drunk, the next morning always has me regretting Every Decision Ive Ever Made because i always...always....forget to drink water the night before....people around me try their Best to hydrate me while im drinking, but i get stubborn and forgetful and when im handed water i just put it down instinctively and look for something sweeter and usually with alcohol in it and im caught in a vicious cycle that ends with a fuckoff terrible hangover

but it's nothing a soft boiled egg breakfast cant fix HAHA

Awh Knifey, don't think that way about yourself! Just because you have to sit down while doing dishes doesn't mean you aren't strong. Honestly, house chores are very draining for me. I have a habit of overworking myself the moment I step outside in attempts to outwork my brothers(Which I always do because he is very lazy tbh...) I also have this fear at jobs that if I don't work hard enough I'll be fired. So I do my best to work my damned hardest, even if I hurt myself in the process 💀

I have an issue with being unable to do indoor chores due to the fact that I just get bored with them? They're so boring and time consuming, and I always feel more productive with chores that I do outside. I HATE doing the dishes, cooking, cleaning my room, etc. But I always do by the end of the week lmao. I also hate dirty houses so 👹🔪 my brain is whacky.

You're doing great things though! Physical work isn't for everyone. Personally I can't go to gyms either due to social anxiety. Closest to a gym I've been to is when they forced us to do weights class in 9th grade and I out squatted everyone in my class because a guy challenged me 💅💅 I will always accept a challenge fr.

I live out, about 10 miles from town so I just go for runs or bike rides on the paved back roads away from people lmao. The people that pass me on the road are all farmers and ranchers that I know and are like family to me so it doesn't fluster me as much as working out in a gym does. I'm just livin' my best life away from society, because fuck people.

If you DO want to get better as physical labor and shit I suggest a lot of mental love and some small stuff first. When you accomplish ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING, always compiment yourself. Be all "Hey, I did that!" You could have literally swept off the porch or picked up and moved a lawn chair, but praise yourself for it. Remind yourself that what you do is great.

I grew up doing hard yard work, and cutting down trees, and I'm not sure what your home is like, but if you go out and do one thing a day that helps me to. If you're able to! Literally go out and rake a section of your yard, or pull a handful of leaves (Keep hydrated though, I've made the mistake of going outside dehydrated and the sun licherally murders me.)

Also indoor at home exercises are BOMB. I have a small routine I do before bed, and itt wears me out enough that I'm then able to fall asleep faster! 50 Squats, 50 sit-ups, 25 spider-man's, a 30-second plank, and a 30-second wall-sits is what I do anywhere from 1-4 times in a row depending how tired I am. YouTube and TikTok have a lot of simpler and easer exercises to do so you don't overwork yourself when you first start! And if you miss a few days, or even weeks, so be it? It happens, I have self-discipline issues too 😭 I mainly only do them when I remember, feel bad about myself, or I just can't fall asleep.

Yoga is also really good! You can do it while doing other things depending on the pose! I really enjoy it tbh, I should get back into it but I have no time anymore or I forget it exists when I could be doing it lmao. If anything, just drink water, and accomplish small things and remind yourself that you're doing your very best. Remember that your very best will never be the same and everyone elses very best either, because we all have different life styles, body types, and mental types, and hey, that's okay. It's what differs us from everyone else. You're doing great, hon.
