You know what I see here? I see someone who wants to be vivacious and full of life, but is obviously constantly being shouted down and interrupted and mocked and ignored.
Ralph loved his tap shoes...but almost immediately after his enthusiastic response to Lauren's question (asked in derision, of course), he tries to settle himself and act 'normal' again.
