Is there anyway you can put everything relating to buck getting into a coma into one post because I haven’t heard about this

Ok so basically you prob haven’t heard of this bc I’m the only one who has been talking about this lol. It all started when Ryan posted that fucking thirst trap on 9/29/22. I was wondering why he would post it and caption it season 6 vs season 3 (he posted the pic and then one from the fighting ep in s3). So I was looking at the photo and it came to me that the reason he posted it with his arm tattoo covered must mean it was for the show.

So I made this post initially bc I was just analyzing reasons as to why he would post that.

Then I answered an ask on why I think Ryan working hard on his physique and showing it off for the show is important. Like why does a 30-something year old single dad need to look that ripped for the show? Unless…unless that body is a part of someone else’s fantasy. Someone who may or may not be unconscious and in a possible coma.

The fact that they were filming at the beach 2 weeks ago was very weird to me bc we had a bts of Kenny and Aisha with the ambulance. Ryan posted photos confirming he was at the beach during sunset.

And then we got a confirmation Oliver was there bc they posted a pic of Buck in his jeep driving away from the beach. There was also a video in which Gavin (Chris) was seen with a surfboard so we know Eddie, Chris, and possibly Buck were all at the beach. All this is supposed to be happening in ep 6.07 “Cursed”.

Then we got confirmation that there’s a famous singer, who based off bts is named Felisa, will be on that episode. This is a singer in which “Eddie gets involved with” during an emergency. Not romantically of course but these were words Peter Krause chose when explaining upcoming wacky emergencies.

Now I was speaking to @ktinastrikesback one evening and we were trying to make sense of everything we’ve seen so far. I answered an ask with our half baked speculation. Then I went back and made an actual post expanding on how I thought the episode would actually turn out.

It is also very important to note the lack of Oliver filming with everyone else. Yesterday he spent the majority of the day at home. We know this bc of his IG behavior all day long. We got bts that Peter, Aisha, and Kenny were on set in their uniform. So we know they’re filming a call. Could be a medical call where Buck and Eddie aren’t needed but still. The girl who plays the singer was also filming and she was injured in the morning.

Then Cocoa Brown reappeared and she was on set to film in the afternoon. Again Oliver was believed to be home. Cocoa posted a bts with herself and Ryan at the end of the evening. I made a post on my speculation as to how it seems suspicious that everyone happened to be filming yesterday while Oliver was no where to be spotted. Usually when he’s on set, someone posts him some how, some way. It’s also important to note that the last time there was this much secrecy about bts was when they were filming 4.13 & 4.14 which is why there was a lack of Ryan in any bts.

So I made a post on her return and what it can mean for Eddie and possibly Buck. I’ve also answered a few asks about the possibility of Buck being in a coma. In this ask I explain why the moment they changed the title on 6.08 to “9-1-1 What’s Your Fantasy?” I speculated a fantasy dream sequence was a possibility. And in this ask I expand a bit on why I would want to see Buck in a coma.

Basically, to sum everything up, I don’t know what exact route they’d go but ideally here is why I believe we may get a coma!Buck.

We know in 6.04, Buck may possibly get hit by a car when he takes the bicycle and goes after the drunk driver. The way it’s been promoted and teased screams that’s what they want us to believe when in reality he’s gonna be fine. Now I think that’s a massive foreshadowing for what’s to come later on in the season.

It makes sense if he gets away scratch free in 6.04 when he’s being a reckless and selfless idiot, only to get injured severely in an episode called “Cursed” when he wasn’t doing anything to put himself in any danger. I think him getting injured in 6.07, thus leading up to 6.08 “9-1-1 Whats Your Fantasy?” makes a lot of sense. He’s on this journey of self discovery and happiness. He needs to figure out who he is outside of his job. He needs to figure out who makes him happy and with whom he is most at ease.

Now if this serious injury occurs and he’s in a coma, I can see this fantasy sequence being his utmost desires. Possibly seeing how happy he is when he’s with the Diaz boys and maybe even realizing how attracted to Eddie he is, hence the shirtless sexy moment of Eddie’s ripped bod. I think this injury has the potential to be a massive wake up call for both himself and Eddie. I can only imagine how beside himself Eddie will be knowing his partner got injured when he wasn’t even trying to be expendable. And I think it’ll serve his whole journey some purpose to have him wake up and realize that he is at ease when he’s with Eddie. I want him to have his little “Oh, it’s you. It’s always been you” moment. I want him to realize he has a family and people who care for him deeply. Now idk if I’m onto something or so far away from what actually is in the plans for this half of the season. But these are all my thoughts on why I think Buck can possibly be in a coma this season.

First off, YES for binging bcs. 💕 Second, it's so hard to narrow it down to just five, but I will do my best. 😩 And will try and give a quick reason while avoiding major spoilers lol. 3.05 - Chicanery - A cinematic legal drama. Top tier television. 4.10 - Winner - A pivotal ep for Jimmy. 5.09 - Bad Choice Road - A great instance of plot lines and my faves colliding. 6.03 - Rock and Hard Place - A great character episode and one of the best speeches. 6.07 - Plan and Execution - One of the most intense episodes of television I've ever sat through (and then 6.08 and 6.09 don't let up)

Honorable mentions to: 1.06 - Five-O - For a Mike speech that still lives in my head rent free 5.10 - Something Unforgivable - For Lalo sexy momence and feelings.

ok gonna write my post about legends of tomorrow 6.08 “stressed western” SO quick bc i wanna get to sleep early. this episode is a decompression episode which allows the characters to process stuff from the previous episodes while setting up stuff for later episodes. these decompression episodes arent usually my favorites but theyre necessary and since its a legends of tomorrow episode of course its gonna be enjoyable no matter what. this one isnt like a standout episode or anything but i liked it alright and it was cool to see david ramsey in a silly mustache :)

the sara ava stuff felt a little bit um not the best? it’s very sweet how sara blurts out that shes a clone alien hybrid, of course she cant keep anything from ava. but their agreement to not tell the team for now bc they wanna try to be “normal” felt obviously doomed to fail, and this whole “normal” idea is something we’ve already seen before in the episode where they have their first date. so i feel like they should have learned that lesson by now. still it’s very nice to see ava being so supportive and even a little bit nervous about making sara feel welcome bc she cares about her so much. ava’s anxieties over sara being part alien now and therefore different was something that did work for me. it just felt very real. because its one thing to say you’ll love her no matter how she’s changed but it’s another thing to see those changes in action. it’s just very human of ava. i like how it sort of escalates from seeing sara eat too many cherries to seeing sara survive being shot in the head. it was a very badass scene of sara taking all those bullets. i just know keto shimizu or someone in the writers room took inspiration from wolverine weapon x bc not only was sara kidnapped and experimented on to give her new abilities but also now she has a healing factor and can survive all these bullets!!! i liked that ava was so horrified at seeing sara maimed in that way even though sara was fine. again yknow thats something i can emotionally connect with. but then at the end when they were like well i guess we shouldnt have tried to be normal i was like yeah no duh you already knew this!!!!!! i just wish that part had been framed in another way.

i like how nate is like lets do a nice regular classic kind of legends mission to get sara back in the groove and they do a wild west mission. because to us the viewers it does evoke the past wild west episodes and so it does have a classic feeling. i think that’s fun. i also enjoyed how nate expressed his frustration and how he felt like he wasn’t getting enough respect or recognition for keeping the team together when everything had been falling apart. even though it was a ruse to lure the alien it still was how he felt and i had been wondering if the show was ever gonna recognize just how taxing it must have been for nate to be everybody’s rock for that stretch of episodes. so it was nice to see. hes still not my fave but i can appreciate him. i also enjoyed the zari behrad sibling bickering, so cute. i dont really care for this behrad astra flirtation but we’ll see how it goes.

the spooner astra stuff was nice. kind of funny how nate calls out the trope-iness of putting the 2 characters who dont like each other on a mission and by the end they will be friends. since spooner and astra are the 2 newest characters it was a little tricky for me to totally grasp everything that was going on with them, just because i don’t know either of them that well, but i enjoyed their sniping at each other and i really loved when astra finds out spooner lost her mom and her whole demeanor kind of changes. i love when astra is kind of being hard on spooner and judging her because she sees herself in spooner and she’s hard on herself. and spooner reminds astra that shes not in hell anymore and she shouldnt be acting like she is. i like that they bonded, it’s kind of a fun contrast since their personalities and aesthetics are so different. i think they should be besties.

okay thats all last thing i wanna say is i bet sara is one of those girls who can tie a cherry stem in a knot with her tongue

Do you think Red will end up escaping from prison or will the judge rule in his favour?

from what I’ve heard so far I honestly think it’s gonna be the jailbreak

next ep we’ll have Red doing the psych eval he requested, but it probably won’t go as planned bc the summary for ep 6.08 mentions that he’s still in prison, and apparently in ep 6.09 he’s gonna be back in court to clear his name of treason (so apparently they threw away his immunity agreement and are charging him with his old crimes from 30 years ago?). I doubt that’ll go well but I think the judge secretly likes him so there’s still a slight possibility she might rule in his favor

but it’s much more likely (and exciting) that he’ll escape from prison with a little help from his friends Smokey and Heddie (tho they have probably forgotten all about them by now and it’s useless hoping but whatever), and take Vontae with him of course

there were some bts pics with a helicopter a while ago mentioning a jailbreak so I hope that’s where we’re headed

I think this will likely be ep 6.10 bc that’s when the exciting stuff usually happens

and then he can wear those amazing tuxes and celebrate his freedom and eat lots of pretzels

Ok so to expand on mine and @ktinastrikesback’s speculation about the famous singer being that Felisa girl. It does make sense if you think about everything we know from bts.

She’s clearly filming a music video or something at the fire station bc those are the stations doors.

We also know that the actress had regular clothes she was filming with and that she was at the beach when Ryan, Gavin, and Oliver were filming at the beach.

Now this bts of Buck driving away wasn’t sitting right with me. Because he does kind of look upset and why would they film him driving away from where his boys are. Unless, he did see something that upset him and he is trying to run away from it. This is all supposedly happening during an episode called “Cursed” let’s not forget that. Maybe he’s upset, he has these conflicting feelings about being replaced in the Diaz boys lives. He’s jealous and doesn’t really understand why he’s feeling the things he is. Maybe in that moment he’s even realizing he has feelings for Eddie that aren’t very platonic. But seeing them all smiling and having a good time rally messed with him and he has to escape those conflicting feelings.

So he drives off, he’s upset and bam!! He gets into an accident. Considering it’s very possible the bike accident doesn’t really happen in 6.04, it simply foreshadows him getting hurt at a later time, which brings us to 6.07. He’s hurt and he ends up in a coma, which leads us into 6.08 “9-1-1, What’s Your Fantasy?” We are Buck fantasizing about the life he can have with Eddie and Christopher if he were to take that risk. We see him finally being happy and at ease and it makes him have all these different kind of realizations while he’s in his coma.

Then he finally wakes up and sees a distraught Eddie by his bedside and officially accepts that the thing he’s been searching for this entire time? The things that make him truly happy and at ease have been in front of him this entire time. And that leads us into the midseason finale, which can very possibly be a love confession on one or both of their parts.

You’ve got to accentuate the positive...

It really doesn’t take much for people to say a TV show has gone stale. Or, that a season is bad because of an episode arc. And something I won’t do is judge what I already love on the basis of a few spoilers or a few episodes (or episode arc). I’m used to it by now to be 100% affected by the ugh of it all...

By 6.11 of Arrow, I wasn’t alone in hailing s6 as the best season of arrow. It has everything in it: Oliver’s growth. Olicity getting married. Starting a family (this coming from the man who used to think he’d die alone). Diggle getting some focus once again (though I question why he wants to be GA, because in every prior season, he hasn’t even mentioned it). Felicity being so clearly strong willed (especially in 6.03/04/07/08/09/10/11) and effortlessly brilliant. The new team progressing in their own way…

Whether it’s a way we like or not.

A lot of people have complained about the villains this season too. I’m good with it. We don’t need to have a horribly terrifying villain every season. We don’t need another Adrian Chase or Malcolm Merlyn. I liked and still like the idea of a group of semi-capable villains, regardless of whether or not the actor/actress is someone we/I can back, because I don’t think we’ve gotten to the bottom of it yet.

What I’m puzzled by the most however, is the reaction to the current arc; the way people are getting lost and angry and frantic by it.

Don’t you know Arrow by now?

Perspective:

(S1, a season of introduction, isn’t one we can use to discuss this so- nope!)

S2: there was a solid stream of episodes, all focusing on or around Sara Lance, Laurel and Quentin. Sara and her attempt to change so that she could exist in Oliver’s world. Sara’s attempt to fight off her own darkness and failing to do so, arguing about it with Oliver over and over again because of Roy, Slade and Helena. Sara and Laurel’s relationship. Sara and Oliver and Laurel’s history. Laurel realizing her bitterness was hurting her sister. Oliver letting go of any feelings he had for Laurel after his final attempt at caring, once again, ended up hurting him. Laurel and Quentin’s fight against their addictions – it went on and on and on until I thought my interest had gone dry...

S3: the 4 mind-numbing episode arc about LL becoming BC before uselessly being abandoned for another 5 episodes and the team’s morose attempt at fighting the good fight without their leader. Oliver thinking he can’t live, thinking he can’t have it all – that to trust his team, meant inviting darkness. And an extra 2 episodes where we had to watch Oliver make more bad choices and Felicity start a relationship with Ray, 3.10 to 3.15. That’s 6 episodes of UGH.

S4: Less episode arcs and more a general feeling. Oliver was put in the backseat in order to sell LL and Thea as members of the team. I know you all love Thea, but to me, she didn’t quite fit the team. The way her character progressed made this feeling worse. Then we had Oliver lying to the love of his life for 8 episodes. So, yeah. BAD.

S5: love it or hate it, season 5 had several stand alone episodes that made you nauseous. 5.13, 14, 15 were particularly crappy.

Any of you who thought they’d change this pattern for the sixth season, were fooling yourselves, I’m sorry to say. But S6, I think, has been one of the kinder seasons.

There’s no bad Olicity angst (the 6.08 angst was delicious). There’s no ridiculous attempt at selling a character to us. There’s no ‘I’m Oliver Queen which means I can’t have a life’ crapola…

The way the team split was handled has left much to be desired, I know that. It really has. I admit that I can’t love the new guys like I do OTA, but I did like them. Now I can’t stand them. They took every bad habit Oliver has EVER possessed, thrown them in his face and then utilized them x10 and made excuses for their behaviour… and then blamed Oliver once more.

But even with the crappy attitudes of the newbies and their horrifying lack of morality recently, each episode this season has been pretty on the ball.

I also know a lot of us don’t like BS.

In portraying LL or BS, KC seems to have a problem with grabbing the majority audience’s sympathy. Her villain role this year has been decidedly camp and over the top and, once again, her character is rooted in selfishness. No surprises there. And now, well, she’s using (going to use) LL’s identity to get what she wants. I hope Quentin is happy: he gave her the tools for this.

Anyone who wasn’t expecting this or for her to be in 6.15 a whole lot, were not paying attention.

She’s going to use the excuse of being kidnapped for a couple of years and assume LL’s identity. This is not the action of someone who wants redemption. This is the action of a mole. I always thought she’d try to play one side against the other for her own gain and I bet that she does.

She’ll also use her knowledge of the team as leverage: blackmailing Oliver and co so that they can’t prosecute her because she knows so much and, really, they can’t imprison her unless they want to unfairly blemish LL’s reputation, because she isn’t LL.

Happily, Oliver made it very clear that he a) doesn’t care about saving her, he’s looking after the city and b) pretty much doesn’t want to see her again. Everything else he did in 6.14 was rooted in his respect for Quentin. I know Quentin has officially flown over the cuckoo’s nest but after years of friendship etc, Oliver owes it to him. Even if he knows it’s not right. He’ll do it, just this once.

Saying it the way he did too, to never wanting to hear her name or see her face again… it’s like not expecting a child to do the exact opposite of what they’re told. Of course the writers would have her push back.

You know, she could have gone with Quentin. Instead, she’s decided to immerse herself in another woman’s life. When you’re looking for redemption, that’s kind of the last thing you do. She wants something. And she’s going to take it.

And you know what? This could be really good.

They’ve slanted away from a true redemption arc. It doesn’t mean she won’t end up there. But the likelihood of it being about true goodness is pouring away, fast. And it’s going to bite all of them on the ass.

You know, I state the obvious, if it was any other character/actress, we wouldn’t be having the same problem with this SL.

I don’t like LL/BS or KC. I have my reasons, which I won’t force on anyone and I know that if this were a different character/actress/actor, the ‘god, this again’ I’d feel and the outrage everyone else has displayed, wouldn’t be nearly so high.

This isn’t a plot-line to make people happy. It’s designed to both satisfy a trope (for her stans) and not repeat a character (for us, because enough with boring and predicable please) and to make us all freak out and get angry. We’ll be waiting for something to go wrong. They want us on tender hooks and you know what? It’s working.

The amount of hype the people who hate this arc have produced is more than the hype created by those who like it.

There’s goodness coming. There is.

But every year, a chunk of the fandom family start hating on the show with nearly the exact arguments as the years previous. I get it. I do.

But, you know what else happens every year? The slingshot.

Would I like Felicity and Oliver to hog the screen time, I sure would. It took years to get them married. Show us more for god sake!

But it isn’t realistic. The show has more than one character and the design of it, though flawed, is one they haven’t changed. There are filler episodes and other things. We knew – we KNEW – that 6b (6.10 – 6.14/15) would have little to no Olicity (save some amazing moments, especially in 6.11) and yet there’s still surprise at this.

We knew, after watching 6.12 that the newbies were wrong and would continue to be so. We knew that the BS arc would be a royal pain in the ass, but this latest twist is going to test the characters and maybe that’s a good thing.

First thing’s first though. Every single season, Felicity’s story goes like this:

We have a group of episodes surrounding her. Then she comes out of the main focus but is still very much part of the plot. She has brilliant moments that make the show great. Then, like a slingshot, roughly during episodes 16/17/18, she pops back into focus for the rest of the season.

Let’s look at past seasons again.

S2: between episode 1 and 5, she’s very much relevant but not the focus and then for 6 to 10, she was very focal. With Sara’s introduction and Roy’s, she’s secondary until roughly 2.19 up till the finale.

S3: episodes 1 and 2, she’s focal. 3 and 4 she’s not. 5, 7 and 9, she’s focal. 6, 8, she’s not. Then the BC arc and episode 14. Then slingshot round again.

I do think season 3 gave Felicity the most SL isn’t given ANY of the female characters in Arrow. Now, there are too many characters for this to work.

Still, it repeats, it repeats, it repeats. Same with season 4, same with season 5.

Would I like more married Olicity, HECK YES. But – and the way they’ve done it is more than a little skewed – they’re trying to make it look like Olicity are currently waylaid by all the drama. They literally don’t have enough time to be together. They’ve gone back to saving the city full time; just like in season 2 and 3 where they had to somehow handle saving the city alone with living their lives. Both Oliver and Felicity were unable to do so alone, from what I remember. Now we know there could be more scenes. They could give us a few moments at least (beyond the few brillo-pads ones we’ve had). But those scenes were sold to Rene and Curtis. Thankfully, there’ll be less of them in 6.15/17 etc.

As much as I don’t like it, we’ll get back to it.

And as much as I’d like to see more of Felicity’s SL, I’m going to leave any and all judgement on the lack of it since 6.07, until the end of the season. Safe to say, it’s been taken over by her break with Curtis. He did the unforgivable. She gave up her money to save Oliver. I believe we’ll get more, but there’s just too much going on.

Would I prefer to see that over the badly handled civil war crap? Yes. Of course I would. Would I prefer to see more married Olicity, more Felicity and Diggle over this BS bull? Yes, I would. But they got MARRIED. The show literally told the audience they were each other’s true loves and destined to be together. The writers actually allowed Oliver to get married. It means they probably think they can afford a few episodes of not giving us much in that department but again, it depends why you watch the show.

I’m also hoping the writers showed the B team to be assholes because they’ve got lessons to learn and forgiveness to earn, I really hope for that.

They’ve mentioned a honeymoon. The show only does that when they plan to deliver, whether it’s this season or the next. Either of them could end up in jail. If fan theory is correct, Oliver gets poisoned/drugged in 6.18, leaving her alone in 6.19.

My point is that, the show isn’t going stale just because of an arc that’s been handled in such a way. Or because of a character that we literally don’t care lives or dies. Or turns into a goat. Whatever.

It’s going to be fine…

In re to BS – Stephen, Emily, Juliana and KC mentioned things about her. KC’s words haven’t been accurate save for aforementioned extreme contention between BS and DD.

The only thing Stephen said about it was that it would be interesting if LL was actually walking around in the daylight the past couple of years. He said it was an interesting take. That was it. And I agree. I don’t like her, but I agree.

Emily mentioned there might still be a thing between Felicity and BS (another possible fight) and really, if BS pretending to be LL culminates in her facing off with Felicity then bring it on because my god, it’s a death wish waiting to happen! I’ll get the popcorn!

I was done with LL./BS/KC long ago but I’m choosing to see the little goodies in the crap because I love the show, even with its faults. It hasn’t gone stale guys. The newbies are idiots but they never used to be, so I’m waiting for the penny to drop for them. Let’s just ride it out, kay?

This season has given us so much, even if it hasn’t delivered on other things we’re waiting for, so I’ve decided to accentuate the positive. If a show pushes it, then they’ve earned the scorn. Arrow hasn’t pushed this season as far they’ve done in previous additions and we get the added luxury of Olicity being a pillar.

For now, I’m good.
