scott malkinson has a podcast too btw but no one knows or cares. like they've all been told at one point or another but they always ALWAYS forget, and--in the case of the main four at least--whenever they're told about his podcast all of them answer with "who's that?" the podcast is a “cultural commentary podcast” (<- his words) and he basically covers the same shit that catg and fireside do except it’s so so boring and way less funny.

catg have made fun of him on their podcast multiple times (during which clyde is often like "come on guyssssss..." but he doesn't really do anything to stop it) so most people who know about scott's podcast and existence as a whole know from him getting severely dunked on by his former classmates.

one time scott snaps and makes a twitter thread complaining about the culture of the LA online celebrity scene (podcasters, influencers, the like) and directly calls out how people associate with cartman even if they hate him and how everyone is just expected to let him call you whatever slurs he wants with no actual comeuppance. cartman responds to this by going "who the hell are you i don't think i've seen you at a function once in my life" and scott responds with the exact date and location in which they were at a function together, not to mention that they were literally classmates for 12 years. this still does not ring a bell for cartman even a little bit, and it's also painfully humiliating to witness.

while mutt does sometimes inspire parental feelings, usually in people who already are parents, as far as fond relationships go, he's more likely to give off the energy of a little brother, a cool young cousin, an apprentice/mentee, or simply that kid you have an intergenerational friendship and rapport with. his general attitude/bearing and fierce independence has something to do with it -- he doesn't act in a way that suggests he particularly needs or wants someone to feel that way about him.

The thing I like most about tumblr I’m realizing is that it basically has its own built in fact check/updating system. Because posts just get passed around and subsequently updated as stories progress so you have these nice reblogs of multiple posts that each add more context to the event up to the most recent update. Like that one post of Tumblr getting legal action’d for suppressing queer content being continually updated and me finding out there’s apparently been effort to fix that as soon as tumblr got bought out by some other company in 2019. And if I get anything wrong here pls reblog and feel free to add some info

Who is drifting ghostly over grey dust and grey rock and grey crater, leaving nothing behind? 

Who spends their afterlife staring at the eternity of the first human's footprints -- one slight misstep for man, one perpetually unattainable sleep for ghostkind?

Who abhors the white hot assault of the sun, can cast no shadow; feels insubstantial and senseless even outside of the horrifying absurdity of death?

Who glares keenly through the nothingness? 

Who plants feet firmly and tenses against emptiness; but without gravity, without buoyancy, without substance and in incredible protracted stillness despite a rotating spinning whirling constancy; despite the delirious movement of the moon in its wild dance about the Earth cannot summon the momentum to go forward and greet home once again?

Who grows to resent the lunacy of it all?
