They are NOT ex-best friends they are DIVORCED WIVES
[ID:
1: A digital drawing of characters Pauline Phoenix and Barborah Winslow from Dead End Paranormal Park dancing. Pauline is a curvaceous woman colored in all green with glowing white lines. Her hair is held in a tall, puffy style with one loose strand falling by her face, and she is wearing a deep v-neck dress whose skirt is so long and flowing that it frames the entire piece. What appears to be green smoke is emitting from her mouth and both her closed eyes. She is holding Barborah in a low dip. Barborah is a slightly stocky woman with muscular arms and short gray hair, wearing a green short-sleeved turtleneck sweater and brown pants. She is holding a large, ornately decorated double-sided ax in her free hand; the other is entwined with one of Pauline’s in dance. A bright green light is being cast onto her from Pauline’s figure. Barborah has a broad nose, monolid eyes and scant face wrinkles, and wears an expression of surprise and anger. Pauline has a small button nose, large lips and teeth with a middle gap, and no wrinkles. Her expression looks blissful.
2: The same drawing, except there is no green light being cast onto either character and Pauline has her local color palette. She has peach colored skin, blonde hair, a bright red dress with a pink bow and red arm-length gloves, bright red lipstick, and light blue eyeshadow. The same green smoke is still emanating from her face.
3: The same drawing as image 1 except Barborah’s local colors are grayed out, leaving the only color in the composition as bright green.
4–7: Close-ups of Pauline and Barborah’s faces, both from the drawing’s ghostly green version and the local color version.

I know everyone and their mom has likely said this but Barborah really is just. The OG lesbian. Has been trying to get her identity respected for years, got her start in wrestling (and potentially military), wields a BATTLE AXE, keeps a portrait of her toxic ex in her study probably bc “it’s tasteful”, like she keeps managing to create and tic those boxes.

Pauline left everything in her will to “soul twin” Barbohra before the possession shit ever even happened. Which like…*shakes her* why did you ruin her life for your career if you really did genuinely care about her. Girl,
Because, again, this was before the possession happened, as Pauline possessing Barbohra’s body looked noticeably different to her original self. And she would not benefit of somehow recording this with Jennifer (though even she has noticeable differences as well) after Barbohra was able to go back to her body, as the stunt double was rightfully trying to take her down.
So either she was already planning on possessing Barbohra before the life insurance ad (a theory I had before. If a season 3 happens they’d need to address that lol) or she just… genuinely cared for her too, then ruined her life anyway for her selfish goals.
I totally didn’t forget to post this and left it in my drafts for days, nope!

Day 13. Bowling
I hope you wanted more Pauline and Barborah because that's what you're getting. The Worsties <3
"Strike!" The cheery pre-recorded line rang out in the empty space of the Astro Lanes. Most of the lights had been off for hours. It was nearly three am and Barborah’d had a very long day. Anger coursed through her veins as more of an annoying itch than anything else. Still, it was enough of a pain to keep her up at night.
"Strike!"
Barborah smirked. If she kept this up she would match her personal best in no time. The tension began to leave her shoulders as she started to unwind.
"Ugh, you never did grow out of it after all." A gratingly familiar voice from somewhere behind her back almost made her drop the ball. "If you're so into showing off, at least have an audience for it."
"What are you doing here?" She felt a sharp spike in her blood pressure. There went all her relaxation.
"The nights here are so boring." Pauline sighed, her plastic body seated at the small table. "Regrettably, you're the most interesting thing around."
"Get out." She adjusted her grip on the ball.
"Don't be like that." Her joints clicked with each overly dramatic and stiff movement.
"I'm gonna get even worse." With a growl, she threw the ball. She felt her fingers slip just enough to mess up the angle of the spin. The trajectory was just off enough to make the ball knock down all of the pins, except two, on the opposing edges. A split.
"A woman of her word, I'll give you that."
"If you're here only to heckle me-"
"Excuse me, not only for that. How presumptuous of you."
Barborah groaned. She could feel the oncoming headache in her temples. She grabbed her favorite ball and weighed it in her hands: 16 pounds, the only correct weight for a good bowling ball.
"You have no idea how annoying it was to use a lighter ball." Pauline scoffed, "the next body I got after yours was such a downgrade."
She ignored the remark and threw the ball. She had to be very precise to pull off the trick she wanted. Arguably it was more about chance than skill, but she'd been feeling lucky lately.
"Hey, stop ignoring me. I was giving you a compliment!"
The ball hit the pin on the right side of the lane and sent it flying. Perfectly horizontally and into the second pin. What a killer shot. Barborah pumped her fist. She still got it.
"I miss playing together."
If she'd turned her head any faster she would've broken it. The doll sat at the table, her plastic face was unable to express much, but her voice was sad.
"I always thought you hated bowling..."
"Darling, of course, I do hate bowling." She got up and straightened her dress, "but it was our thing.”
“You can’t be serious.”
“Something they don’t tell you about possession.” She turned her head to avoid looking directly at the other woman. “You get the full package; muscle memory, addictions, disorders. After enough time they become part of you too.”
“I don’t think I’m following.”
“I got really goddamn good at this game.”
“Ha!” Barborah slapped her knee, a wide grin on her face. “You kept up my hobbies! And for what?”
“Nothing else relaxes you! You dimwit! My shoulders were killing me all the time!”
“That’s funny.” She picked up another ball with a smile. “My shoulders are killing me all the time too.”
