BUT. Have you considered?

They live in a world without most electrical appliances. A FUCKTON of physical labor goes into baking (and keep in mind how often Sanji bakes treats for the girls).

Sanji being tired (physically) and not feeling like taking 10 min to whip whipped cream. Being tired (mentally) of Zoro making fun of him for never working out. Sanji saying "fuck it" and just starts putting him to work.

The foccacia dough needs to be kneaded? "Have fun working a sticky mess for 20 minutes, asshole"

Need meringue? "No, STIFF peaks marimo. Don't tell me you're wimping out already"

"Are you even TRYING to flatten that steak Marimo?"

"Yes, it needs whipped cream. YES, I know you just made some yesterday. We need more"

Zoro's shoulders are burning but he's trying SO HARD not to lose face with the cook and meanwhile Sanji is silently losing it at Zoro's shock that cooking can in fact be a workout

my most old person trait is that when i'm at the store and see marrow bones for $9 a pound i can't stop myself from complaining that you used to be able to buy a pack of those from the local co-op for a dollar

I had a presentation today, and there's nothing (and I mean nothing) I hate more than those, so as a treat I made the rest of the day real cozy. Baked bread & listened to podcast while cleaning my apartment; good chill times

Been experimenting with making my own sourdough bread at home because I have Celiac disease and gluten-free groceries are expensive.

I've made a fantastic (and very active!) sourdough starter with this recipe from Gluten Free on a Shoestring and used a bread recipe from the same blog to make a couple of loaves.

The first loaf was made with Bob's Red Mill all-purpose GF flour, and the second was made with the King Arthur brand GF baking flour. I like the texture on the second loaf better, but it didn't rise as much as I would like so next week I might toss some baking powder in there to give the yeast some help.

Advice from fellow gluten-free bakers is welcome. <3

okay i've figured it out. i don't assume pjol is actually trying to encourage the reader to give in to resignation, and disco elysium certainly isn't. but it seems to be how wide swathes of fans have interpreted these texts, and that's what i'm mad at, not the texts themselves

These Marine branded cigars have me asking questions about the One Piece Verse tobacco industry that are literally never going to be answered

does the world government own tobacco farms??? factories???? how the hell does this work that they produce goods instead of just fighting and regulating stuff???

I guess they have to procure uniforms and rations, and cigarettes were historically part of military rations so it makes a certain amount of sense

But where do THOSE SPECIFIC CIGARS come from??? Do they have a deal with individual farms like they did with the cute milk girl from the chapter title comics???? Are they individually wrapped or is there a factory and industrialized cigar prodiction somewhere? Fishman Island has a candy factory so there's precedent for this I guess???
