Hi, darling. I’m going to go ahead and make this post with all the info, I’m sure it will be useful for future reference. So thank you for your question 😊
So, earlier this year Louis started to interact with this girl (Tanika) on twitter, she sent him *hundreds* of videos of her 4/5 year old son (Bentley) singing Louis’ songs. The videos are absolutely adorable, the kid is very sweet and clearly adores Louis. The interaction resulted in Louis inviting them to one of his shows (they’re from Australia) and also a facetime call so Louis could talk to Bentley.
She posted several videos of the call - although it was supposed to be a private conversation between them - Louis talking and having fun with Bentley in the videos.
Not long after it, she started to answer questions on TikTok like these:
And she did posted a video of Louis calling Freddie (off camera) and then him asking her to stop recording.
So let’s just stop here for a second to appreciate what happened. Tanika seemed to be a larrie(ish). She posts hundreds of pictures and videos of her kid online to get noticed by Louis, and when she gets a chance to talk to him privately, she also posts a bunch of videos of that. Including Louis talking with “his son” (that conveniently doesn’t appear on the video) just to shut larries up since everyone was saying it was bullshit. Just to prove a point. On the screenshots, she says she immediately “unlarried” after talking to him.
That was months ago. Last week, Louis was finally in Australia and they met, Tanika shared a bunch of pictures of her and Bentley and everything.
And yesterday, these rumours started to spread:
Tanika said that this is a lie and I couldn’t care less about the beef with this other person. But there’s a lot of back and forth and a lot of people being put in hot waters and trying to save their own asses for talking about something they “shouldn’t”.
But there is this one screenshot of what Louis allegedly DMed her, and that’s what made her “unlarrie”.
Tanika (so far) doesn’t seem able to confirm or deny (she confirmed to everyone who asked her privately) whether this message is real, although she seems very interested in knowing where the screenshot came from. Confirming that would put her in a very uncomfortable position, since she would be leaking a “private conversation” about something personal that Louis “confided” her (just like the videos).
The situation is absurd. People seem to believe that out of all the things in the world *the* Louis Tomlinson would confide her and only to her - someone who gained his trust and honest friendship - such a thing because “he doesn’t think people really know how he feels about Larry”. Because, of course, he doesn’t seem able to express that publicly, since he doesn’t stop engaging and encouraging everything Larry related, basically admitting he is in fact larrybaiting.
Personally I’m very inclined to think the screenshot is real, although obviously a huge ass lie. He did call Freddie off camera after all, so IMO this is just one more time being used to push babygate and once again put fans against each other, because they knew she would spread everything about it. This is as old as time, like “the prank call” where people happened to be conveniently recording and all the other times because larry is a load of bullshit. I think he’s very lucky he didn’t come across larries that have been to hell and back when trying to push that shit down our throats, he would have a lot of explaining to do.

Okay okay I have something to say.
If you follow me you know I hate the CK S5 baby plot. I’m not ranting here about why. Lots of good reasons to hate it. But listen, here’s the thing.
1. They’ve decided to go the route of making CK an over the top karate soap opera, yeah?
2. We have now had MULTIPLE instances of Terry brooding over legacy and the future and the importance of the next generation, right?
3. Terry was shown giving veiled threats to Carmen and Johnny, and he now knows Carmen is expecting.
THEREFORE
4. As much as I HATE this baby plot and wish it had never existed (no I don’t care at all that it was foreshadowed; it’s cheap and assassinates at least two characters in one fell swoop, if not like five), if they are too cowardly to give us a “comically villainous Terry steals the baby” plot line, Jane the Virgin style, after setting it up this way, then they’re really missing an opportunity to make this show everything their twisted little minds seem to want it to be.
Just sayin’.
(Disclaimer that in addition to hating baby plots with the exception of shows that made it clear from the start we’d be getting them, I also hate child peril plots. Severely. But given where they seem to be taking the show, it really would be a shame if they didn’t just commit.)

Lou on Sang was one hell of a ride:
Loves Zayn’s vocals, Li hate was denied;
Weed’s good, ass tat’s bad;

Said he didn’t leak Home (but he lied).
Breaking the poetry wall to ramble about this interview (which was just too much for a few dozen syllables, but I tried). I like and respect Zach Sang as an interviewer. He listens to his subject, and while he has his questions and prompts prepared, he lets the conversation flow organically. And he doesn’t talk over people like fucking Zane Lowe. Louis thrives in those free-flowing, long-format discussions about music and creative process. I could listen to him endlessly.
Which is why the forced babygate stuff stands out so sharply. The interview went hard on it. And here’s what I found especially sus:
Zach brings up seeing Louis perform in L.A. and is in the middle of waxing poetic about how Louis commands the room, when Louis very inorganically derails him specifically to bring up the kid (and goes all oBViOuSLy big-eyed). Stoner-brain Louis sure was quick with the knowledge that it was the Saturday night show where Zach and the kid would have overlapped. (I highly doubt Louis would be able to recall the day of the week for any other show on tour. He was prepared to get that in.) He goes on to mention very specific things to prove he knows dad details (like the kid’s bedtime). And he plays up the hero image thing again, which he did with the surfboard Christmas gift story, so now it’s a narrative. He goes into unnecessary detail to over-explain things (we locked eyes, which we could do because the venue is big but not too big ... ).
But what I can’t synthesize is that he says it’s the first time “me son’s gonna see me perform” (I get that he means live, but he makes it sound like the kid has no concept of what he does. His grandparents aren’t showing him videos? They didn’t let him watch the London livestream? For which his dad set a Guinness record? They didn’t crack him up with 800 plays of the fookin’-chicken-nugget clip?) and then that having seen a show, the kid now understands what he does (and that not everyone’s dad does what he does) ... But then he goes on to talk about how, like with his little sisters, his rock star life has always been normal to the kid. And those seem like contradictory statements.
And the very specific mention of taking the kid to the park with Oli, and then an unseen of that very occurrence turning up the same day the interview publishes?? It’s never not weird. I have no idea why they’re going so hard, or how they’ll ever end this mess, but it’s apparent that Louis will take the route of “He’ll always be a son to me.”
And no mention whatsoever of megirlfriendeleanor. The ass-tat discussion sure would have been a convenient place for that, with all the talk of who sees it and “it’s not sexy” and “someone’s gonna love you for you.” ... Louis’ discussion of it was that of a man unattached. (Has anyone heard Chicago yet? Does he reference it in that song, or summat? Was this ass-tat knowledge seeding? Or was it just because Zach combed fan tweets and it’s a point of curiosity? It was an hour-long interview and I’m left with more questions than answers.)
Anyway ... back to five lines.

Hiiii so I’ve been in the larryverse since 2012ish but took a bit of a break from the fandom 2017-2020 and somehow missed a lot of the Xander timeline. Just catching up now. What do you think of H and Xander’s relationship?
hi, i think it started earlier back in 2014 when jeff stepped into H's life by time H was somehow isolated by management (as he was was planning to leave the band) so jeff introduced xander to H as jeff and xander are friends and then xarry became friends (keeping in mind xander is 11 years senior to H) so i think the plan was to help H come out by the help of 1d management and everything (false promises and all to secure H on their side for the long run as it was a dream came true to H)
so H would come out as bi as it would be the perfect image, a modern gay man in a boyband and all that and of course to beat the allegations (and you can't do that without confirming larry in the process bc you can't have 2/5 members, out and gay at the same time together. that's scandalous)
so the answer is H stunts with a man and there you have xander, perfect place, perfect timing and without outing louis in the process too you know? H may encouraged it because it was one step closer to freedom and being himself out in the open also coming out with louis (which was the whole point)
and if you checked the photos of H and xander, you'll find the stunts patterns, pap walks, flights togethers, dates out with everyone to see, meeting each other's families and photos leaked. on the other side, H was somehow throwing hints in interviews that imply he is flamboyant or gay like "not that important" or "don't knock it till you try it" and etc ( and we all know how media trained the boys are and how they were not allowed to say any wrong word so of course H was given permission to do this)
so fans start watching from afar from late 2014 but so many things were happening back then and the fandom went wild and of course started doubting larry which was a temporary success.
xarry didn't succeed to make it to the articles and media cause zayn left the band by march 2015 so that was enough damage for them. zayn caused enough damage for them to control so xarry was off the table but jeff baited h&l into believing he would make xarry work but it didn't. that was never the actual plan.
on the other side louis got the babygating with brianna and hell broke loose as you well know.
xarry continued uptil 1d went into a hiatus which was late 2015 and bam it was over. jeff secured his place as H's manager and it was the plan all along, he just wanted H to trust him ever since he stepped into his life. he roped H into more het stunts so it was all a fucking facade. H and L sacrificed so much for nothing.
in conclusion jeff is a fucking cunt who doesn't care about H or L or anything for the matter except for money and image.
and now xander is H's friend who is dating a girl (lmao) and shows up to his concerts like two days ago and coachella and etc.

Well if you look at it, the only reason the Larries are on Isaac’s IG even listening to him are to ask those kind of questions. They don’t really care about his music. It’s the same as why they engage with Louis. I mean we as Louies can’t clean up his fandom for him no matter how hard we try. Only he and his team can. Louis gets fan engagement on SM which doesn’t translate to sales but it does lead to leaks and embarrassing questions. So whether it’s his family, friends or band mates, anyone who benefits from this fan engagement, it will come with the same issues that plague Louis. The fact is the biggest Larrie accounts on Twitter and Tumblr talk 80% of the time about fan fiction. People follow them for fantasies. They want their fantasies to come alive really badly which is what manifests itself into these awkward situations.
80% fanfiction, 18% Harry Styles concerts and gossip, and 2% pre-2016 Larry head canons.
Like nothing of Louis exists after 1/1/2016.

I'm deleting my birthday wishes for Louis from all my social medias rn
I can't tell whether you're joking or not... if you are, this is not for you, don't worry. But I just wanted to use this ask to put a message out there about people feeling extremely angry and disappointed at Louis: I feel it too, I really do. I don't agree with a lot of things happening and I don't understand it either. He's not doing this with a gun pointed at his head, he had to agree with it to a certain extent, so it's very disappointing. But listen- we knew it was coming, and it will keep coming. He's knee-deep in this situation, I will be surprised if there's a way out of it at some point in the future. I honestly don't think there is anymore. So... this is what we're having to deal with it. And I think there are only two choices: take it or leave it. Right now, I'm angry and I hate it, but I still somehow trust him and I trust he's doing it because this was the best option for him, I trust he knows better. I don't know for how long this thought is going to last because, I'm not gonna lie, it keeps bothering me more and more. But yeah, it's the reality and we have to face it. I feel like people sometimes are in deep denial so they keep suffering and hating him and feeling anxious... people sometimes sound more like haters than fans. And it feels like absolute torture, man... No want needs to go through this. So I hope everyone can find a place they're comfortable about it and can enjoy Louis and his music without so much pain. I think wishing him bad stuff or hating on him right now is not really going to help.

Hi dear,
Basically what I meant is that it could happen around the time he's promoting something, not exactly on the dot. In fact having his album drop Nov 11 and bbg end Nov 12 would be terrible timing and an absolute nightmare in terms of marketing and PR. He'd have to cancel all album promo appearances. It'd be a nightmare and a scandal and totally overshadow his album. So the best option would be for it to be *around* promo time, but not during it.
But yeah if nothing happens, which I think is very likely, then I have no idea, I don't think we'll have any indications, and I think it's a waste of time to theorize or try to predict. And the possibility of it never ending is real. It could simply just exist in the background forever without being mentioned or acknowledged to the public.

The first thing I recognised you already mentioned - the cacti! So obvious connection to Kiwi and “barren land” (infertile/no baby) I would say.
But there’s also a big fat spider on it, and to me “spider” has several connotations, from danger to “creating a web (of lies/contacts)” to Louis’ very own spider web tattoo on his shin. It might be a self reference as in “I’m creating my web, I’m connecting it all” - it also has the metaphorical meaning of patience and persistence!
Verrrry interesting tho I find the chameleon!
My immediate thought was that right now, Louis is literally a chameleon: he plays the part of the devoted dad for the antis, neutrals and twarries, while he’s signalling to us enough so that we know he sees us noticing it and he’s giving us more so that we know he knows we know he’s not a dad - he’s adapting to the environment and presenting exactly what we want to see in him right now and he’s pulling it off

Is it worth it? An analysis on Louis’ stunts
Lately there has been a shift in how Louis’ stunts are being presented to the fandom, with babygate mentions growing and seemingly being pushed by Louis himself.
I have taken some time to go over some (very arbitrary) success indicators that could possibly justify this push in stunts as a marketing ploy, however I have only confirmed my suspicions that the fanbase IS NOT HAPPY and that has been translating in Louis’ numbers.
(May I add that I focused more on louis’ relationship with his fanbase and I know that’s not everyone’s definition of success so I also added streaming numbers)
I took my numbers from this website and I looked through late 2021 and 2022 mostly
Starting off, lets look at Louis’ twitter following and activity:
Number of followers
Throughout August, September, October and November 2021, louis gained between 20k and 40k followers each month, those numbers were much higher during the earlier months of 2021, so what could have sparked that change?
The first picture of louis with F in years dropped in August, which happens to coincide with the sudden drop in Louis’ following
In December, the First Christmas BS happened, and that generated a drop in his following (he didn’t actually start losing followers until 2022, but he only gained 4K in December 2021) that would be weird on its on, but paired with the start of his tour (in which his numbers should be increasing much more) it was very obviously correlated.
Now onto 2022, which was quite an eventful year
2022 marked the start of LTWT which was not only an incredible time for preexisting fans could have been a great opportunity to increase his fanbase by giving him more visibility, especially paired up with a new album. We’ll see that this wasn’t the case
The beginning of the year presented Louis with a slow, especially if compared to 2021, but steady raise in following. This drastically changed in July.
The infamous dm leak happened on July 30th 2022 and it greatly impacted the fandom, which was translated into Louis social media following. Looking at it comparatively, in June 2022 he gained 129k followers, in July that number dropped to 26k, showing the impact of those final 2 days. In August, his numbers only continued to drop.
With the album announcement, one could’ve expect a raise in following and activity, but the opposite happened, and I can’t help but link it with the marketing strategy that was chosen, with further mentions of his “personal” life, especially bbg
The promotional interviews began July 2022 still during LTWT and, at first, they were stunt free (with the exception of one Interview on July 21 2022, in which he stumbled when saying F’s name, something he seemed much more comfortable with later on).
September 6, 2022: It is during an interview with Radio Deejay Itália that the mentions truly begin. Louis brings up Freddie unprompted and says he travels to LA often to visit him, from this point forward, the kid is often brought up.
November 2022 we get all those articles saying “louis finds parenting to be challenging”, over 100 copy and paste articles of this nature were posted.
December 2022 the Christmas Bs 2.0 took place, with the kid being flown to the UK and spending around a week there, between Christmas and New Years. The only footage of louis and F interacting was posted on Louis’ birthday, in a short video of the two in a dinner with the rest of the Tomlinsons.
How did this translate in his twitter following? When FITF promo started, Louis only lost followers
August 2022 he lost 7k
September 2022 he lost 33k
October 2022 he lost 24k
November 2022 he lost 29k followers (not good right after an album announcement)
December 2022 he lost 28k followers
January 2023 he lost 43.9k (the most so far)
But did all this only happen to his twitter following? Surely that’s not the only indicator of his success and relationship with his fanbase?
I agree, although louis does seem to use twitter the most when connecting with fans, lets look through his instagram

(I’m using walls as a comparison for timeline purposes, although im well aware walls promo was far from stunt free, it seems most fans have, understandably, a harder time dealing with bbg than Eleanor)
*Walls debuted at number nine on the US Billboard 200 with 39,000 album-equivalent units
*Faith in the Future debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 selling 43,000 album-equivalent units
So there was obviously an improvement on FITF debut, but has it been consistent since the album release?

February 2023 The "This Is Louis Tomlinson" playlist reached 320k likes
Album stream milestones

So, overall, the situation does not seem to be improving…
I will later go through his tour sales, but given the different venue sizes this could be a bit tricky
My interpretation of those numbers i presented is that no, it is not worth it. Regardless on your opinion about bbg, from a marketing standpoint this image doesn’t seem to be doing Louis any favors…

Also, I don’t think any stunt that furthers a queer person’s closeting could ever be “worth it”, this was just my attempt to try to see what could be their motivations for this (although if its commercial success, it’s definitely not working)
