My “Dream” rifle build

This is going to be a 2 part post. Part 1 I am going to explain the entire build and what all is on the rifle. Part 2 will be after I get some time on the gun and get a decent amount of rounds through it. So I guess I’ll just start with a complete parts list break down.

So with a build list like that this should be a pretty damn good rifle. I’m not sure if I’d consider it a “dream” build or more of a I wanted to build a really nice rifle this year type of build. I love the 50 shades of green look the rifle has with all the different green anodized parts on it. At the time of writing this I just placed the order through brownells for the modlite setup. All that will be left after that is the odg eotech xps2. My original plan was to use the forward controls single or double dimple ejection port cover in odg but trying to find one of those is equivalent to trying to find Sasquatch. In the meantime I am planning on grabbing a odg magpul cover when I place my next brownells order. That should do just fine until I can get a fcd one.

Overall I am extremely happy with how this has turned out and I am beyond excited to get it finished and head right out back to the range to send some rounds through it. In part 2 of this I will cover my first thoughts of the rifle, give you some overall weight with everything on it, and let you know my thoughts after putting some rounds through it. Quiet for a whole week on B5? Don't say it out loud!

I should have thought of making a PsiCorp badge in my high school 3D art jewelry unit. It would have been easier than what I actually did.

For anyone who doesn't know, Bester's name is that because of Alfred Bester, the author of a novel named The Stars My Destination which I HIGHLY recommend (just, keep in mind the publication year) though it doesn't have anything to do with B5 Bester's character.

The PsiCorp situation reminds me of a milder version of the Fulcrum system in NK Jemisin's Broken Earth Trilogy (even MORE recommended).

I might have said it already but I really love G'Kar's costume. Also I like how he's getting to be a little more subtle in this episode.

Bester is so fucking creepy I literally watched an episode of Star Trek TOS today and I didn't recognize Walter Koenig at first in this role.

I...hmm...I think that Ironheart was perhaps justified in killing the researcher that was keeping him prisoner...not seeing that as a sign of insanity.

Ironheart's not wearing gloves! (More details about why that's a big deal come later in the series.)

Not the point of this scene, but imagine getting lost in a cornfield on Babylon 5.

Was this my first encounter with a description of spiritually intense sci-fi sexual intimacy? Probably it was, have no idea what would have been earlier. The influence of B5...

Thank u for punching Bester, Sinclair. It would have been so much easier in the future if Ironheart had disintegrated him, too, though.

This ascension of Ironheart into some godlike being is something that stuck with me ever since I saw it the first time...

B5 S03E22 Z'Ha'Dum previous episode - table of contents

Flashback central - Anna talking about signing onto the Icarus. Kosh saying "Z'Ha'Dum," Delenn and Sheridan talking about the Icarus landing on Z'Ha'Dum, Morden being a dickbag.

Anna doesn't seem very sincere, and I don't buy her "I'm an open book, but DELENN didn't tell you...no, I shan't say..." schtick.

I know I made all those predictions about how this will play out, but I really don't know how this is going to play out. Will the future be subverted and the prophecies less than self-fulfilling? I don't know!

Partner: "Do you think these guys did like, late-night interviews in the 90s or was it not popular enough?" Me: "Hm let me consult my extensive memories of being 0-6 years old in an anti-technology cult in the 1990s."

Anna: "I'm your wife." Dr Franklin: "That's your wife." Sheridan: "If that's my wife, then what was all my years of grief-processing for?"

Excuse me Sheridan, take your hands off Delenn. Don't shake her just because you're emotionally overwrought.

I am on Delenn's side in this argument. Delenn said clearly that anyone who wouldn't have served the Shadows would have been killed. Therefore, Anna was either dead, or completely opposed to the life and wellbeing of every living thing in the galaxy.

yeah yeah Sheridan, you have big emotions. But don't be a dick.

Londo's political maneuvering has resulted in a promotion and he's bummed because he can't be satisfied with anything. He's a voracious pit of longing that can never be filled. When he's made an ambassador, he rages because they're sending him away. When he's given a prestigious advisor position, he's mad because he deserved it twenty years ago.

Mr Morden Jr is here. Sounds like there's about to be an attack on B5.

Looks like Dr Franklin just found something in his scans on Anna Sheridan.

Anna is refusing to answer any questions about anything unless John goes with her to Z'Ha'Dum to hear the answers there. Not even why she stayed and let herself be declared dead and all her loved ones grieve her death.

Aaaan he agrees to go to Z'Ha'Dum if she explains why she stayed. Against future!Delenn's pleas.

Anna says - IPX found a Shadows ship buried under the surface of Mars. As soon as they unearthed it, it sent a message. IPX took some parts and put a homing device inside. When another ship turned up and took the first one, they tracked it. (didn't the second ship also kill a fuckload of people? She doesn't mention anything about that.)

The Icarus went to the coordinates and found the Shadows. In a pit. Very foreboding. She says it was an accident that the crew was killed, and also destroyed the comm system. She says they portrayed themselves as vunerable coming out of hibernation and cut a deal that they could stay and study their tech if they didn't try to contact their homeworld(s).

It would be a cool plot twist if Anna was telling the truth and he really was about to find out he's been on the wrong side this entire time. However, I don't think that's the case. The Shadows haven't been taking out governmental heads, they've been displacing populations, causing genocides, anmd spreading suffering.

I do wonder what this secret task he's given Garibaldi is.

It's incredibly foolish to run off to the ACTUAL HOMEWORLD of your mortal enemies. But there goes John Sheridan! trot trot. Well, they did hit him where he's most vulnerable. The wound of losing a loved one never really goes away.

They're taking the White Star - what a fucking security vulnerability! Also, so funny that Sheridan is taking the White Star when he's only SEEN the Minbari pilot it. Aviation law must have gotten lax in the future.

Z'Ha'Dum doesn't have a breathable atmosphere. He goes off, alone, with his formerly-dead wife. To the enemy's planet. With no breathable atmosphere. And just nods and hands over his gun. And doesn't even keep his oxygen mask at hand!

Dummy.

And Morden's here. AND Anna gives HIM John's gun! goddddddddddd

Poor Delenn, she looks wrecked. John's message to her talks about his time jump and Delenn's plea to not go to Z'Ha'Dum. He says he went because maybe in that future, he listened to her and DIDN'T go, so he's going in case it changes the future.

Well.

Justin on Z'Ha'Dum says that most of the higher races left this part of the universe, and the Vorlons stuck around to be parents. Clean your room, behave, etc. The Shadows, though, want to release their potentials...through conflict. "Those who survive are strong, better," Justin says. And Morden says if you knock over an anthill, the future generations get better at building anthills.

hm.

"...but I love my mom and dad," - noted parents-guy John Sheridan, hopefully.

"A few get lost along the way," Justin says. Yeah. Like the Narn got directly targeted and attacked repeatedly until they lost their telepaths, then almost lost everything? Literally they were T A R G E T E D. It isn't a neutral "they got lost," they were pummeled into near-oblivion.

Oop, the Shadows have arrived at B5.

Morden would have us believe that sonnets came from wars. Bullshit - sonnets came from the Italian courtly style and was developed in order to flirt better. (per Partner's masters of poetry)

Ahhh, the Shadows are hanging out over B5 as the hammer over Sheridan's head. Sheridan's too good at diplomacy, so he's preventing the species' growth through warfare. boooooo.

I could go through and rebut the things they're saying point by point but ehhh. It's a lot. But it's 99% bullshit and 1% mispresented.

Sheridan drops a bomb: Anna has been altered in the same way as the people who were being sent to become components in the Shadows ships.

Whoop, Shadow incoming. And gun incoming! John Sheridan had TWO GUNS. badadadada

oof, poor Sheridan. He's arming the White Star to detonate, and Anna's turned up saying that Anna is dead, but she can love John as well as Anna ever did.

"I want you to know that I love you, Delenn. Bye." he says, in the video message.

And there's the Kosh fragment! Sheridan jumps into the pit of doom in the center of Z'Ha Dum as the White Star bursts through the central dome.

Anna didn't like that!

Kosh said he couldn't help Sheridan if he helped then. And then he helped anyway. lol

I like the G'Kar voice-over. Andreas has such a marvelous voice and he really knows how to use it.

One of the fighters is missing - piloted by Garibaldi! And the marvelous CGI depicts it floating in a Shadows ship. Well. At least we won't run out of plot anytime soon. :P

by request i have put together a little key of all my b5 stories and ocs that i talk about on here plus some other info about worldbuilding stuff (@impossibletimemachinestarlight tagging you in this since you requested it! i hope this will prove helpful and not just confuse things even more)

first, the fics!!! most of these feature the same characters, but that doesn't mean they take place within the same verse

bmwf or the blood of stars - wip, currently published on ao3. a longfic intended to tell the story of the warrior caste and explore minbari politics from before the em war up until after the civil war. pretty grand in scope and i am currently stuck in the earliest pre-war section, which takes place during branmer's adolescent years. i really want to finish this fic but i've lost steam recently

bla/branmer lives au/and not to yield - wip, not on ao3 yet but sometimes i post snippets here. it's basically an alternate universe where branmer lives and takes part in the shadow war and drastically alters events relating to the minbari as a result. heavy on the warrior and worker caste. if you see me talking about neroon and branmer having a big falling out/break up, i'm probably talking about this fic lol.

b/n fic or i joy in my disgrace - wip, available on ao3. a lighter, shippy fic taking place a decade or so before the em-war during a warrior caste tournament that was really just an excuse to write branmer/neroon. may end up serving as the backstory for their meeting in bla, but totally disconnected from blood of stars (though it shares many of the same characters). i've stalled a bit on this one even though chapter 2 is almost done because i've been quite depressed and struggling to write through it

mlm fic - a silly little au where both marcus and neroon survive and neroon recruits him to help investigate a religious caste grifter who is recruiting humans to a pyramid scheme/cult. eventual neroon/marcus. i've only really written the very start of this one tbh

m/n fic/damnsel fic - intended as a gift for a friend <3 i haven't posted much about this one because i'm trying to keep it on the down low lol. but it's an action adventure romance marcus/neroon fic. i'm about half-way through writing this one and hoping to have it done by the end of 2024

neroon is the bridge - a very silly au where delenn accepts leadership of the grey council and punishes neroon by forcing him to undergo the transformation instead of her. currently working on the grey 17 is missing episode in this au haha

cursed nye fic - a truly terrible joke fic featuring, yes, mpreg. currently unavailable online because im editing it to repost

the warrior caste clans as they appear in my fic (names taken from canon but the rest is mostly me making stuff up/taking from fanon):

star rider - neroon's clan. the oldest and most powerful clan, they control the warrior caste capital, tinarel, plus a good third of the warrior caste fleet.

moon shields - the wealthiest of the clans. they have close ties with the star riders and the two often work together. the moon shield fleet is largely responsible for the immediate defense of minbar and the home system and often gets referred to as the shield of minbar

night walker - the most numerous of the clans, they actually consist of hundreds of sub-clans who allied together to defend themselves against other more powerful clans (like the star riders). infamously quarrelsome, they are the most democratically structured of the clans and fiercely independent. they have the second smallest fleet, but make up the majority of the castes ground forces and night walker regiments are spread out among the other clan fleets. as a result they bore the brunt of the most intense fighting of the em-war and had the heaviest losses. they are very bitter about this

fire wing - the first clan to use aircraft in war, the fire wings still boast the best fighter pilots in the warrior caste. they have medium sized fleet, but there are fire wing squadrons spread throughout the other clan fleets, similar to the night walkers.

wind swords - the smallest and most militant clan. they also have the smallest fleet. despite the relative size of their clan they are surprisingly influential and wealthy, and benefit from controlling resource rich territory that allows them a degree of independence from the rest of the caste. they have a long history of rivalry with the star riders and resent their power over the caste

dark knives - an ancient clan who defected to the shadows during the first great war. nothing has been heard of them in a thousand years but they remain a presence in warrior caste horror stories and folk tales. they feature in bla where they return to cause trouble and do evil things >:)

re warrior caste leadership and such. some people go for there being a shai alyt for each clan or make it a rank similar to captain. for my own fic i have the shai alyt being the commander in chief of the warrior caste (it just made sense to me that the warrior caste would need a chief general who they all answer to in times of war who can act with the grey council's authority), while each of the clans have their own leadership who handle the administration of the clan and its internal running. basically the clan heirarchy/administration is seperate from the military administration and you can be very powerful in the caste as a whole while still being subject to your clan leader/elders. see branmer's dad, kedrunn, who is a very high ranking war leader and serves as an advisor to two shai alyts, but is often in a very precarious position within his own clan because he keeps pissing off his clan leaders :') the balance between the shai alyt and the clan leaders is a Big Deal in warrior caste politics and it's one of the things that makes being shai alyt a really really difficult role. the warrior caste also choose their shai alyt (something the grey council hates and is always trying to influence) through something called the convocation of clans

religious orders/fanes

sanaya - branmer's birth fane/order, a contemplative order based in tuzenor and famous mostly for their religious music. very conservative and proud. were never happy about his mother marrying a warrior

fikeranla/the star seers - the order branmer leaves sanaya to join in bmwf and ultimately the order he serves in most of my fic. a spacefaring order with connections to the warrior caste (particularly the star riders) that has a history of liasing between the warrior and religious caste on contentious issues. dedicated to the study of the stars

my ocs

kedrunn - branmer's father, warrior caste and a star rider like neroon. serves as a sech in most of these fics, but has held extremely high rank in the warrior caste. also very musical! appears in pretty much all my fics except neroon is the bridge and mlm fic (so far), but most prominent in bmwf, bla and b/n fic

eiyamer - branmer's mother, religious caste. a professional musician and honoured shaal. again appears in most of my fics except neroon is the bridge and mlm fic, but generally has a smaller role than kedrunn. most prominent in bmwf, bla and b/n fic

nerzhan - neroon's mother, star rider. rarely appears mostly just gets mentioned. usually dead long before the em war

rashal - neroon's dad, fire wing who married into the star riders. also usually just mentioned but doesn't appear. features most prominently in bla where he is actually alive for once (but might as well be dead if you ask neroon)

kazjek - neroon's ward, star rider. only features in one fic (the m/n one) so far! around 13 at the time of the story and a massive fucking brat. i love her a lot and will likely insert her into other fics if i get the chance (very tempted to put her in bla haha)

morreal - a childhood friend of branmer's, warrior caste and a wind sword. related by marriage to shakiri (who he hates, like really really fucking hates). often serves as the character who highlights the contradictions of warrior caste honour. the wind sword neroon basically. features in all my fic except neroon is the bridge and the cursed nye fic

aiashon - neroon's cousin on his father's side, fire wings clan. aiashon has a prominent role in bmwf (in the very end section post civil war she's actually the protagonist), bla and mlm fic. will likely feature in some small way in b/n fic, m/n fic and neroon-is-the-bridge. aiashon is the character often left holding the bag when everything goes to shit. the opposite of neroon in many ways, she's overly cautious when she should act and learns to be more decisive and bold in the latter half of bmwf

zakat - neroon's childhood best friend, originally warrior caste he converted to the worker caste and became a prominent starship engineer. features most prominently in bmwf and bla but gets some kind of a mention in other fics

rekshival - branmer's mentor and a high priestess of the star seers. features heavily in bmwf, mostly only gets small mentions in other fics which is a shame because she's one of my faves tbh

dushenn - aiashon's wife, warrior caste and from the nightwalker clan. not a super prominent character but appears in bmwf, bla and probably mlm fic. im hoping to expand her role a bit in bla and get her doing more stuff

verann - (fuck i cannot believe i forgot verann until now) warrior caste and a fire wing like aiashon. has a cute little triune thing going on with kedrunn and eiyamer. was at one point a candidate to be shai alyt. very high ranking in the warrior caste. features mostly in bmwf, bla and b/n fic. a bit like neroon if neroon were less of a total cunt.

shakat - warrior caste, night walker. massive cunt to begin with tbh, but experiences considerable growth in bmwf and bla, which are the only two fics he really features much in (might make a cameo in mlm fic maybe?). has a big, embarrasing crush on morreal. morreal can't stand him.

beshaal - warrior caste, moon shield. second in command to the shai alyts who preceeds branmer. features in small roles in bmwf and b/n fic, but is dead by the time most of my fics take place

levak - warrior caste, star rider. the shai alyt when branmer is a teenager. only features in bmwf because he is dead long before the em-war takes place

sekhat - one of branmer's mentors, warrior caste and moon shield. served levak when he was shai alyt. dead by the time most of my fics take place and only really appears in bmwf and possibly in b/n fic

rokesh - one of levak's advisors and a rival to verann, married to sekhat. also a moon shield. potential candidate to be shai alyt after levak. was meant to be a more prominent character but i ended up finding other characters more interesting, poor dude. features in bmwf but also gets a mention in b/n fic

kershan - a former star rider who married into the night walkers, lost most of his family on the black star. becomes friends with neroon in bla. features a little in bmwf but has a more prominent role in bla. doesn't really appear in any other fic tbh and i don't think i've mentioned him by name much at all on here either

there are more (SO MANY) but i think that's all the most important ones. branmer also has a warrior caste aunt and a couple of warrior caste cousins who will appear in b/n but they're not important characters. an overabundance of warrior caste ocs and not nEARLY enough workers rip (tbf there are more worker caste ocs but im not at a point where i have though enough about them to warrent a place on this list)

Summary: Catching her red handed collaborating with the Mandalorian government, Bo-Katan has a difficult decision to make.

"They're planning an assault on the southern hemisphere resource port in two rotation's time at 0600," you explain in a hushed tone, eyes skirting around warily as you inform the disguised palace guard of your information, "The loss of life will not be minimal, and the damage is likely to make the area unstable for the foreseeable future."

"That's all?" the guard asks in an equally quiet and rushed voice.

You nod sharply, "Yes, that's-"

"-(Y/N)?" Bo rounds the corner with Pre, the latter meeting you with a scornful glare. Focusing back on Bo, the look of hopeless betrayal and dread makes your stomach drop, "What- who..."

"It's you, isn't it?" Pre stalks up to you, clutching the retracted Darksaber tightly in his palm. With his helmet off, you can see the hatred-fuelled darkness swirling in his eyes, "You were the spy; you were telling them everything."

You step back, putting yourself in between Pre and the guard (hoping he would get the hint and run with the information), "Look, this is all a misunderstanding. Uncle-"

"-You are not my family, and you are a disgrace to the great name of Vizsla," he spits. Only a foot away from you now, the angle of the Darksaber hilt makes you wary, "And for that, you will be dealt with-"

"-She has to stand trial, Pre!" Bo cuts in, sensing that the betrayal felt by the older man was clouding his already troubled vision, "Don't make us look like monsters."

"We caught her in the act, Kryze. Don't overstep your authority here," he snaps, immediately silencing the other woman's protest, "And I think we both know what happens to traitors."

You steel your jaw, ready to embrace one of the greatest inevitabilities of being a warrior, "Yes... we do."

Readying the blade in his grasp, he holds it up to your abdomen. Not the usual spot, but you didn't imagine you had much say in the matter. He watches you coldly, jutting out his chin in a look of distain. His thumb lifts to the control panel-

"No!" Bo exclaims as the blade ignites, fearing the worst. However, it is not you who collapses in a stuttering huddle of pain; instead, the guard behind you is the one to fall.

Retracting the blade, Pre watches your horrified reaction at the callous killing. Knowing the man will certainly be dead, you turn back and level yourself with the Death Watch leader, "And you wonder why I betrayed you."

"I wont kill you now," he replaces the Darksaber at his waist, his dark blue armour shining in a dull crimson glow, "that is far too merciful for your crimes."

"Or perhaps the rumour that you killed your own niece would ruin your reputation-"

Bo's eyes widen, "-(Y/N), don't-"

"-If she wishes to die," he raises his voice, shooting a sharp look at his right-hand woman, "she can do it by her own personally-tortured accord. No short form of physical torture would break a warrior of her stead, but time certainly can. I trust you can take her to star port in the west precinct?"

Bo looks between us in a moment of internal conflict. Despite this, she appears to come to the conclusion that your banishment is inevitable whether she is party to it or not, "Yes, sir."

"Good..." he watches her reaction closely, "Rendezvous at 2200, sector B5."

"Understood," she nods tightly, fastening her helmet back on her head, "...sir."

"And if I ever see or hear of you again, in the Mandalore system or not," he turns back to you, his glare of loathing burning into yours, "you will meet a similar fate to your... friend."

He looks down at the guard with a tut before blasting off with his jet pack.

There is a silence between you: neither of you really know what to say. But you can tell Bo's face is less than stoic. You take a step towards her, keeping your eye-line firmly away from the dead guard. As you reach out a hand, Bo shifts her arm out of the way slightly. It wasn't massively overt, but you noticed it and take the hint.

"Bo... cyare..." you mumble, barely able to hear yourself. It's the slight tense in her shoulders which tells you she's not okay. You watch her with concern, savouring the image of the woman you had come to admire and appreciate so deeply.

"You've not looked at me like that in a long time..." her taut voice matches her posture. The slight modulation through her helmet sounds so comfortingly familiar, "I can assume that that correlated with when you joined my sister's ranks."

"I couldn't... I knew this would happen," you blink for a few seconds, mustering up your internal strength, "I couldn't let you become an accomplice."

"If you had asked..." she responds, hesitation laced in her unusually soft voice, "I would've followed you."

"No. No, you don't mean that, Bo," you shake your head immediately, disputing her bold and rash claim, "You love Death Watch too much: I know the cause means too much to you."

"But you also mean so... you..." she trails off mid-sentence, her gaze falling to the armour-clad body behind you.

You step towards her more confidently, purposefully obscuring her view of the body. Reaching your hand out to lightly graze her gloved one, you assess her current state, "I would never have asked you. This was my choice, and it's now my place to face the consequences."

"I can't take you to the port... I couldn't..." she begins to break. You had never seen her like this, nor did you ever expect to.

Reaching up hesitantly, you place your hands either side of her helmet in a silent request. She doesn't motion to stop you, so you lightly clasp the underside and pull it up and off. Met with her green eyes being so harshly contrasted by the red tinge around them, you quickly place her helmet down and pull her into a solid and close embrace, "Oh, cyare..."

The cool metal of her headband presses onto your ear as she shifts her face into the crook of your neck. Sensing the vibrations, you can barely make out her indistinct mumbles, "Why did you have to go and get caught being a spy for my pacifist sister?"

You let out a breath of quiet laughter, "Why did you become the right-hand woman to an extremist sect of our warrior past?"

"Because I believe in it..." she replies, her tone accepting how her response applies for me you as well.

"You are a good woman, Bo," you continue, feeling yourself clinging to these last moments with utterly unrealistic hope, "and you will continue to be long after I am gone."

"You're not going to die, okay?" she leans back fractionally, meeting your eyes in a sternly determined manner, "So, please, don't speak like that, cyar'ika."

"To be a lone Mandalorian, is to be a Mandalorian no more," you say without malice or contempt, simply a growing sadness at the reality.

"That's not true... you'll have me," she mumbles into your neck.

"No, Bo," you laugh almost aloud, "You're not coming with me. For safety, no one can know where I am going."

"But-"

"-I will miss you everyday, cyare-"

"-No, please, don't do this-"

"And I lov-" you choke back the welling tears, unable to take her tortured gaze on you, "...I am sorry... for everything."

"You have nothing to apologise to me for..." her hand ghosts over your abdomen, as if trying to vividly remember that evening after your particularly violent informant run to the palace. Your first real connection.

"One day, when Mandalore falls once again into war and despair," you say, the prophetic words breaking your own heart, "you will find good reason to loathe my parting, cyare."

"I could never hate you."

"Just as I could never hate the hand of the ancestors for not giving me the time to love you properly," you mumble, ghosting a kiss on her forehead. Stepping away, you try desperately to pay no mind to her pleas, "Goodbye, cyare."

Replacing your helmet, you blast off to the west, in search of the star port. It would be years after the Clone Wars until you would return to this fated planet and to her company. But was is really the ground beneath your feet which damned you and your people's fate over and over again?

Hey, I'm back!!

I wanted to show you guys how the ship or character centric stuff can be signaled, and how to read adverts by doujinshi people.

Here's an ad for nijidama's available books for this week's event.

How to read: Top: date, name of the event, booth number (aka where this person will be selling their books)

Title of the book (the words between those strange brackets, those are Japanese quotation marks); here it roughly says "Get together! Goten's day" (Goten is written in Hiragana and not with his kanji)

Format, page count, media, medium. Japan, like the rest of the civilized world ( ;-) ), uses international paper systems. (A5 is roughly half an US Letter and B5 is roughly comic book size)

By "media", I mean whether it's a manga, a novel, an illustration book / artbook of sorts... (in this case they're all manga).

By "medium", I mean the type of physical good. They're all Ondema except for the last one which is Copy. Ondema means on demand, which means ordered through a printer with a special binding (aka this was printed offset). Copy means it's stappled (copy magazine).

Characters and restrictions.

Here it's "Goten centric" (literally: Goten (kanji) - middle/center - heart) and it's "all ages" (all of these are all ages. Other otherwise see R15 or R18)

Price (in yen of course) + a little blurb about what's inside (this one in particular is about Xeno Goten yeeting across timelines to grab other Gotens lol I can't wait to buy it)

high voltage b6

since the map was added to the tfp map list there have been a lot more plays of the map and looking over the demos of them have revealed some flaws in the map

the two biggest issues i noticed in b5 were the random O spawns and the extreme spam from grenade bags

so to fix those issues i made all classes have specific spawns, and reduced the nade count in each bag from 4/4 to 2/0

idk wtf i was thinking with 4/4 nade bags, that's actually insane

also since a lot of people saw the vent details in the top area and in FR and thought they connected, i decided to make them actually connect. i think it was nomad who related them to the vent on bases, but i don't remember 100%.

demomen can blow up the enemy team's vent control system with a detpack, and the engineer can fix the vent control system with their spanner.

the system itself took me like 4 hours to make but it was totally worth it in the end because i really like how it works.

this effect of rebuilding the vent system is SO COOL i love it so much

what is a popular ship you just can’t get behind, and why?

marcus/neroon is something i just can’t get into and i honestly don’t know why! it has so many things that i would like - the minor character, the possibility of tragedy, the toxic yaoi fight to the almost-death, all of that. but they just don’t grip me. i’m not some neroon hater either, at worst i love to hate him because he’s kind of obnoxious but i love obnoxious bitches. who knows.

what does everyone else get wrong about your favorite character?

i like to joke that lyta is a kitten in a wet cardboard box all alone but when she is able to be, she is capable, independent and able to fend for herself. she’s introduced to us in divided loyalties by immediately brandishing a weapon and making demands. people act as if she’s unable to do anything for herself when the biggest part of her character is that she has been purposefully held back and isolated from others. being abused is not a character flaw, actually, and being abused with no way of escaping that abuse is also not a character flaw! also it’s so, so, so much more annoying when this attitude towards her is applied to her “aren’t you tired of being nice-“ arc in season 5. she can explode things with her mind quite literally. she’s shown using her crazy ass telepathy to kill SHADOWS in the road home! and then people act as if she’d be at g’kar’s mercy as if g’kar is also not a senior citizen who has sworn off violence of any kind.

what is your biggest unpopular opinion about the series?

(strained through gritted teeth, pretending i have not seen the fifth season) the pacing isn’t that bad. some plotlines are rushed, yes (fly high byron my beautiful controversial angel) but seasons one through four were just fine pacing wise. the climax for the shadow war was somewhat underwhelming but also i don’t think babylon 5 really is, genuinely, a kind of piece of media that needs an epic space battle. especially when all of the conflict and epic space battles you are shown, you’re shown the actual tragedy behind senseless death. “talking it out” is almost lame, but it also to me quietly told me a lot about the first ones in general as well.

if you had to remove one major character from the series, who would you choose?

i’m so sorry but if lennier had just gotten the na’toth treatment and disappeared somewhere in like season 2 or 3 and showed up as a ranger in season 5 i don’t think i would have noticed much. i still love lennier but lennier’s plotlines are such nothingburger little things and are usually wrapped up in things that involve delenn, during which i’m paying more attention to what delenn is doing in those situations.

what is an unpopular ship that you like?

AS PER MY RANT ABOUT LYTA nothing quite really beats being incredibly moved by g’kar and lyta’s final scenes in the show, going to see if anyone else ships them or if i just have goggles on because they’re two of my most favorites and just seeing…That. i also like lyta/byron. like i get why people may dislike either of those ships but also i feel like a lot of people make up or exaggerate the things that could possibly be problematic about the both of them. if i read another post comparing g’kar and lyta’s established dynamic with forced prostitution i’m going to snap. like please yall my girl has gone through so much shit can she not get laid on top of it all???? also to answer the “what does the fandom get wrong about your favorite” question again the idea that g’kar is willingly doing all of THAT and intentionally perpetuating an imbalanced dynamic after he has grown up in and been victimized by systemic and intrapersonal abuse his entire life is………hmmmmmm.
