Request: Hello! can you write reuniting with them after months/years due to work/curses/ or anything! (up to you!) with seperate! lilia, jade, azul, floyd, and leona? (atp im just desperate for content for the aforementioned characters badly)

Summary: stay a bit longer, it’s been so long! Just…don’t leave them again…

A/N: damn a 18 month hiatus is crazy huh… Also, I didn’t feel like writing a Floyd one because I’m a tired senior

Lillia Vanrouge (Curse):

Sometimes, when he closes his eyes at night, he sees you smiling at him in a field of flowers. Euphoria. Other times, he sees you lying motionless in his arms, he can still smell the toxin on your lips. He remembers everything so vividly, the way your hair shaped your cold face as he laid your body in your glass tomb. Still, hundreds of years later, he remembers his promise to you.

“For as long as my heart beats,” he whispered, “I will be restless in bringing you back to me, my love.”

So when he received a letter that you had awoken, he was overcome with emotions. As he flew back to the Valley of Thorns, he was angry at himself for missing the moment as your eyes reopened but so fucking excited to feel his cold skin against your warm self again.

They moved you to our old room in the palace, everything was the same but so much time had passed. It had been so long since…everything. You can’t walk, you can barely talk, and all basic movements feel like challenges. Everybody that you once sat around a table and laughed with was now long dead.

You were left to ponder how you could even exist in this new world. Everything you knew was gone, friends, family, and…oh no. What became of your dearest, Lillia? Did he go out as a war hero or as a criminal? Did he live to…find someone new and start a family?

This was all too much, you can’t take the thought. Everything is too much, you just wish that you could close your eyes and go back to the ways things were.

The door to your room slammed open and there stood a panting, young man. Why does he look so familiar?

“You’re…this…by the Dark- you’re awake…,” even with his stammers he sounded a lot like someone you once knew. A certain someone who you shared a final memory with.

“...Lillia,” your question comes out like a whisper as if it was taboo. Before you knew it Lillia had dropped to his knees in front of you.

“YE-yes it’s me, my love,” he corrects his voice just as quickly as it came out. His head dropped on your lap; he wanted to feel your skin on his, “please, let’s allow me to stay like this for a bit….”

Jade Leech (Moving Away):

His last memory of you was when you were both seven years old, Jade was clinging to your tail. He was sobbing and screeching for you not to move away. He remembers your parents dragging you away as his parents held him back, your figure slowly fading in with the bubbles. He hasn’t seen you since, so imagine his surprise when he receives a letter from his parents saying your family has moved back along with a photo of you.

He’s never been so excited to go home for spring break, you’re back…you’re home. And here he is stuck at school while you're just a dive away. As he tried to focus on his studies, you were now permanently stuck in the back of his head. The photo of you sits on his desk, a beacon of what waits for him after midterms.

“You seem unusually happy, Jade,” Azul says as stands in the doorway watching Jade pack his bag, “is it because they’re back?”

Jade snickers as the thought of seeing you once again fills his brain, but this meeting won’t be the same. You and him aren’t the same people as you were 10 years ago. He’s so excited to see how you’ve blossomed in the time you were away from each other.

Jade couldn’t contain his smile when he saw you waiting on the other side of the mirror. He would have been the first to greet you if it wasn’t for Floyd jumping you into a surprise hug. Once Floyd was finally off of you, Jade was finally able to speak to you once again.

“It’s good to see you again Jade,” you smile at him oh-so softly, “I’ve missed you.” You’re so fucking gorgeous, you look so different than the last time he saw you.

“Now, don’t you look breathtaking,” Jade smiles, corking his head to the side. You don’t even know that your small giggles make his heart do flips.

“Now tell me, Jade,” you say, swimming ever so close to him, “what have you been up to while I was away? “

Azul Ashengrotto (Different Schools)

Azul loves the school’s open cultural festival for several reasons. One, the Monstro Lounge does wonderfully during the three days that the event is taking place. Nothing screams profit quite like parents wanting a quiet, relaxing place to lecture their kids about their grades.

And that plays into his second reason too well, kids will do anything to get rid of their parents for a few hours. The contracts just keep rolling in for Azul as these kids sell themselves to him just to keep their parents busy and away from them.

As the Octavinelle student mans the lounge, Azul is left in his office. His leg bounced anxiously for his third reason to love the school festival to arrive. Parents aren’t the only crowd the cultural festival attracts, students from other schools flock to see the wonders that Night Raven College has to offer.

Oh, how Azul misses you. He misses the way you smile, the way you shake your hands when you get excited, the way your lips…god. He misses you so bad. With a huff, Azul brushes his hair out of his face and fixes his glasses to check his phone.

“I’m so lost right now, I can’t believe your school is this big”

“Wait…”

“Nevermind I found the Portal room, see you soon”

Is it normal to be sweating this much, it's only been a few months since he last saw you in person, only a few days since you last talked on the phone, and only a few seconds since you last texted. He can’t honestly be this nervous to see you again. What happened to cool, suave businessman Azul? The Azul that can smoothly talk his way into the best outcomes for himself. Who is this nervous mess?

“YOOOOO! AZULLLLLL,” the door slams open, with no regard for Azul’s privacy

Damn it, Floyd…

“Floyd, what have we discussed about knocking before opening the door,” Azul grits through his teeth while fixing his crooked glasses. Floyd gives nothing more than a shrug before leaving the room.

“It’s nice to see you again too, Azul,” you pout mischievously, fanning offense that your dearest octo hasn’t greeted you.

“Don’t think I’ve forgotten about you, why don’t you close the door so we may have some privacy while we…chat.”

Leona Kingscholar (Lost Contact)

Leona is a lot of things; smart, cunning, handsome, regal, but if there's one thing he isn't, it's communicative. This man can not keep a relationship running for the life of him. If you aren’t in front of him every day, Leona will just forget you exist. He doesn’t think anyone is deserving of constant contact with him.

They should be the ones to reach out to him, not the other way around. So when your letters stopped coming in, he was…surprised. You have always carried the conversation in your guy’s relationship so for you to suddenly stop is out of the normal.

Are you angry with him? Have you found someone else more worth your time?

Impossible there is no one more worth your time than the Leona Kingscholar. You must have forgotten to mail your letter in or the post must have lost it. He’ll have Ruggie go check your letter tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that until you come to your senses and mail that damn thing.

One, Two, Three damn weeks and no letter from you at all. As much as Leona thinks that it doesn’t affect him, the members can tell he’s irritated. If you ask Ruggie, he’ll say he’s seen Leona writing something at his desk and then immediately turning it to dust when he notices Ruggie’s in the room.

Oh, but Ruggie knew everything, he knew that if you stopped writing Leona he’d fall into such disarray. As much as Leon will deny it, Leona adores your letters and keeps them safely stored away in his desk for his eyes only. Ruggie’s been secretly keeping the letter you’ve been sending just to see how long it would take for Leona’s pride to break for you.

Three and a half weeks is all it took.

Leona catches Ruggie in the early morning (a time Ruggie thought Leona would never be up at) and hands him a neatly wax-sealed letter and simply instructs him to “make sure this makes it where it needs to go.” He also hands Ruggie a 5,000 Grimm bill and walks away.

You bet your sorry ass Ruggie hauled him to the post to deliver the letter.

And just like that, communication between you and Leona continued. And if you squint real hard, you can even see the faintest of smiles when he receives a new letter from you.

He can’t wait for spring break.

Azul Ashengrotto

You were visiting Mostro Lounge one day because a certain furball was craving one of their special drinks and he was pestering you all day to get one. You finally caved in after the 1999th time the furball has mentioned about Mostro Lounge’s lovely delicacies.

Since you had saved up your madol and you and Grim both got pretty good results from the latest exams, you figured it was a good way to celebrate by treating yourself and Grim to a meal.

Your orders had just arrived at your table and the two of you began to enjoy your food.

“Grim, chew slowly, no need to rush things.” You said to Grim who was munching down on his food like a madman. You laughed and shook your head before going back to eat, when all of a sudden you heard a voice call out to you.

“Why, if it isn’t (Y/N)!” You looked up from your food to see the dorm leader of Octavinelle standing in front of your table.

“Azul-senpai!” You responded to him with a smile.

“Mind if I take a seat beside you?” He asked and you shook your head, signaling that it was okay for him to sit beside you.

“You usually don’t come here often.” Azul said as he sat next to you. “What’s the special occasion?” He asked.

“Ah! Well, me and Grim got some pretty good results on last month’s exams! So, I figured to come here to treat the two of us as a job well done.” You smiled to him.

“I see, then congratulations to the two of you.” Azul said, an idea popping into his head as he did. “Perhaps you would like a little reward for your hard work.” He said with a small smirk on his face.

“Hmm? Little reward? Azul-senpai, you don’t have to.” You smiled to your upperclassman, going back to enjoying your food, but a hand had caught your chin and made you turn to look at Azul.

“Oh, but you do.” Azul said, his free hand travelling to the back of your waist, pulling you closer to him.

“After all, it is a rare sight to see you here and enjoying yourself.” The hand on your chin pulled your face closer to his, your lips were about a millimeter away from each other.

It just takes a little more for the two of you to ki-

“Azul.”

Azul immediately froze in his tracks, you peeked over his body to see a very familiar second year standing behind the two of you.

“Jade-senpai!” You called out and the upperclassman responded with a closed-eye smile.

“Lovely to see you here today (Y/N).” He replied to you. “And Azul, there are customers waiting for you in the VIP lounge, might I suggest you head on over immediately?” Jade continued with a hint of menace towards his dorm leader.

“A-Ah, yes, right, well, have a lovely time here (Y/N).” Azul said to you and left, slightly grumpy and grumbling as he went past his vice dorm leader.

Jade Leech

“Goodbye Azul-senpai, take care!” You waved to your upperclassman as Jade took Azul’s seat beside you.

“Fufufu, (Y/N), you must eat your food before it gets cold.” Jade reminded you.

“Ah! You’re right, I was too busy wondering what Azul-senpai had meant by a little reward that I forgot my food.” You said and took a bite out of your dish. Jade simply let out a smile.

“I see, so, from what I have heard, you and Grim had gotten excellent results in the recent tests?” Jade questioned you and you nodded.

“Well, congratulations to the two of you.” Jade said and watched the two of you eat for a little while. He noticed that you were struggling with your dish.

“Fufufu, (Y/N), do you need some help?” Once those words left Jade’s lips, you immediately froze up, sighing internally.

“Y-Yes…” You stuttered, embarrassed of yourself for not being able to eat a dish properly. Although, I’m pretty sure it’s the students who cooked it too well done. Yes, Dear Reader-san, I am on your side on this and I blame the Octavinelle students for this.

So, you let Jade take your utensils and help you with your dish, you stared in awe as Jade managed to dice the tough meat into tiny little pieces. Jade then sets down the knife and uses the fork to pick up a small piece of meat.

“Jade-senpai? What’re you doing?” You asked, confused with your upperclassman’s actions at the moment. You immediately silenced yourself as Jade let his fingers of his free hand reach your chin and gently lifted your head slightly upwards.

“Oh, nothing much, I just wanted to let you try our dish without having you go through any hassle.” Jade said with a gentle smile, yet, he was slowly leaning in towards you and you were slowly being pulled towards him.

You hadn’t noticed that Jade had already set down the fork as the two of you continued to lean in towards each other, your lips were closer than ever. Jade opened his mouth slightly to mutter out the following words:

“Say ‘Ah’…”

“AHH!” A new voice appeared, leaving you and Jade in shock.

“KOEBI-CHAN!” And before you knew it, you were being pulled away by the twin brother of Jade.

“Why didn’t you tell us you were visiting?” Floyd continued to question you as the two of your walked further away from your table, leaving a dumbstruck Jade and Grim behind.

Floyd Leech

“Koebi-chan, next time you’re visiting, you should really tell us!” Floyd said as he dragged you around Mostro Lounge.

“Alright Floyd-senpai! I’ll be sure to give you a heads up next time!” You smiled and said.

“Hmm, what should we do first?” Floyd asked as he looked around.

“Well, we could go back and let me finish my food?” You told your upperclassman, the only thing on your mind at that moment was your unfinished food.

“Ehh? But it’s not fun!” Floyd said with a frown, the upperclassman continued to look around, trying to find something to do with you, after all, it was truly rare to see you at Mostro Lounge. It didn’t take Floyd too long to think of an idea.

“Ah!! I know! We should go for a swim!” Floyd suggested to you with a smile.

“But Floyd-senpai, aren’t you supposed to be working right now?” You asked.

“Ahh~ Azul and Jade won’t notice if we’re gone for a little bit.” Floyd said to you with a grin and continued to drag you towards the exit. “Plus, you promised that you’d go on a swim with me koebi-chan~” The upperclassman continued.

You guys began to head towards the exit of Mostro Lounge at full speed, due to Floyd being tall, your legs were having a slightly hard time trying to catch up with Floyd. Surprisingly, Floyd had noticed this.

“Ahahah! Koebi-chan is trying so hard!” Floyd laughed and stopped running, you pouted to him in response.

“Of course, your legs are longer than mine, your walking equals to me running.” You explained to your upperclassman. You were about to ask him to let you go back to your table so you could finish your food when you felt an arm on your back and another arm on your legs, and before you knew it, you were being lifted into the air.

You let out a small gasp as you come face-to-face with Floyd.

“Hahahaha! Koebi-chan is so light!” Floyd said, looking at you. The smile on his face slowly vanished as he continued making eye-contact with you, his face slowly leaned into yours as his hands on your figure tightened their grip on you and pulled you closer to him.

It was only a matter of time before-

“Floyd, what are you doing?” A very familiar voice was heard. You turned to the source of the voice to see Jade.

“Let’s get back to work before Azul comes back.” Jade said to his brother in a stern tone.

“Ehhh? But I haven’t played with koebi-chan!!” Floyd whined, hugging you closer to him.

“Azul would not be pleased to hear about this. Now, come, we must go back to work.” Jade said with a strict look on his face. Floyd let out a sigh as he saw the stern look on Jade’s face.

“Fine…” Floyd said and gently let you down from his hold.

“That’s better.” Jade said and turned to you with a smile. “So sorry about that (Y/N), we’ll be off now, enjoy your food.” Jade continued and did a small bow at you before going back to tending the customers of Mostro Lounge with his brother.

“Alright, good luck Jade-senpai and Floyd-senpai!” You wished them as you slowly went back to your table to finally enjoy your precious food.

Riddle Rosehearts

When he first saw you injured, he lost his temper and was ready to off with your head whoever harmed you.

But when you told him that you accidently tripped and fell down last two flight of stairs, he just sighed

he is not surprised, he deals with ace and deuce's stupidity on daily basis and you happen to hang around them a lot.

He asks Trey to get him a medical kit.

Gently patches you up while scolding you about how you should be more aware about your surroundings.

Azul Ashengrottto

He freaks out out ngl

Then he gets angry and ready to trap anyone who hurt you into a deal.

and god forbid if someone bullied you, twins now have a new toy to play with :)

But when you tell him that you tripped and fell while tending to the ramshackle backyard he is pretty relived that no one is bullying you.

he just don't want you go through what he had to.

He takes out the medical kit in his office and patches you up telling you to be careful.

Jade Leech

Honestly who even in their right mind would try and hurt you if you are going out with this guy.

But apparently someone did.

Oh ho jade was not happy

He is not the one to fret and is pretty calm in situations like these, since Floyd does get into a lot of accidents and fights depending on his mood and his basketball practice.

He just patches you up and kisses you on your forehead, telling you he has some business to take care of :)

The person who hurt you is in some basement now, victim to all of his mushroom experiments.

Jamil Viper

He was pretty worried when he saw your bloody knee.

He knew that it was an accident, though.

Kalim gets into a lot of those-

He knows how to perform first aid, because of Kalim of course and he is also used to taking care of his sister, najma.

he just sighes and tells you to be less clumsy

He then makes you your favorite dish and desserts to help you feel better.

Rook Hunt

Sigh, a beauty like you doesn't deserve this.

When he learns that a jealous student did this to you, who has bit of a problem with you being magicless

Rook, where are you going?!

Don't worry, mon amor, he has just found a new prey!

he also knows how to perform first aid since he is a hunter.

courting rituals II

Octavinelle Edition

Summary: Driven by infatuation and love, the boys try and court you in their own way.

A/N: Okay, so the first one of these did VERY well and I’m so excited to bring you this one. I have one more “courting rituals” planned out and I will bring it soon after this one. Also, since Floyd and Jade are the same animal but very different personality wise, I’ll include the research parts in only Jade’s part so as to not repeat information.

Characters: Azul Ashengrotto, Jade Leech, Floyd Leech

Azul Ashengrotto (Octopus) :

When courting, octopi will be very protective with future mates and guard them away from any potential threats. Azul will follow you around to classes, clubs, etc., he just wants to make sure you’re safe and that…no one else tries anything with you. Only thing, don’t make a comment about him following you. If you are cruel enough to choose to say something, he’ll stutter over his words and try to make an excuse with the face of strawberry red.

“M-m-MY CLASS…ahem…our classes just happen to be in the same direction.”

Octopi want to be very close to their potential mates when courting. We all know Azul wouldn’t be able to keep his facade in public if you were even as too close to him. But if Azul could get the both of you alone - and away from the twins - he would love to be close to you.

“So I was thinking, in return for this study session…you could allow me to - JADE, FLOYD I CAN HEAR YOU!”

Octopi will want to please their potential mates however they way they do that is not G-Rated. Azul loves his contracts and getting others to do things for him but at his heart, he’s a man of service. He wants to make you lunch, help you study, carry your books, and so much more but can’t do any of that without risking his reputation.

“So, with this contact, you would receive help in alchemy and animal languages and I would receive small favors at my request.”

Jade Leech (Eel) :

Eels prefer to court during spring and summer months; the warm weather is good for them. Jade definitely prefers spring, after all, it's the best time for him to take you hiking. If you're unathletic, that’s fine. Jade will just take it slow and enjoy watching you cute face.

“Hoho, is this perhaps too much for you?”

Eels are usually creations that keep to themselves but during the courting process they become more 'communicative.’ Jade is a man of selective words, but around you, he feels more imploid to talk. All you need to do is show the tiniest of interest in anything he likes and he’ll go off.

“Well, these mushrooms only grow in warm, moist environments and require….”

Along with being more ‘communicative,’ eels will also initiate more physical contact. Jade is a very courteous gentleman, his touches will be a hand on your back or wiping the crumbs off your cheeks. Small gestures but enough to ensure he’d get a reaction out of you.

“Now now, what a messy eater you are.”

Floyd Leech (Eels) :

Floyd will only be courting during the summer months, spring just isn’t warm enough for him. He’ll see you struggling to handle the summer’s heat and drag you to the Octavinelle dorms. You’d think that Floyd was going to bring you to the Mostro Lounge for a drink but no. I hope you like to swim.

“I know the perfect way to cool you off, Shrimpy!”

In a good mood, Floyd would be more than happy to talk your ear off but in a bad mood? Surprisingly, when Floyd enters a bad mood he’ll go search for you. Grabbing you and shoving his head into your neck. He’ll grumble and mumble about how much today sucks.

“Azul is such a meanie to me, I only ate half of the cake.”

Floyd is already a very physical person with no regard for personal space. You want to take a nap? Well Floyd wants to cuddle with you. You want alone time to study? Well too bad Floyd needs a hugs and attention. He’ll whine and keep bothering you until you give in and hold his hand.

“Shrimpyyyyyy, pay attention to me!”

Azul Ashengrotto:

He will always make sure you know that you are loved and valued. He’s perfect towards you because he knows he would have wanted to be treated when he was chubby. You’re hungry? He’ll have Floyd whip you up something…for a price, of course. Oh it’s nothing much…just a hug.

“Y-you are very warm.”

Jade Leech:

He just wants to sink his teeth into you; you are so damn pretty. From head to toe, he thinks you are the most amazing thing to bless this wonderland. He loves to grab your face and just hold you there. In Jade’s words…

“I am holding the entire world in the palm of my hands.”

Idia Shroud:

Mochi…that is the only way he can describe you. You are sweet, squishy, and an absolute snack. How do you expect him to focus on his games when you’re sitting there acting all gorgeous?

“Awww, i-it’s your fault I lost…”

Malleus Draconia:

May he have a hug? You just seem so warm and inviting. What do you mean where you are from, you aren’t considered attractive? IMPOSSIBLE! They must be insane! Malleus simply can’t wrap his head around the notion that people don’t fall on their knees for you. HMPH! Allow him the honor of being the first.

“I would happily get on my knees for you…hm? Why has your face become so hot?”

Lillia Vanrouge:

He has existed for too long to care about the way you look. He does have one flaw though…he loves the way your cheeks look when you smile. He makes it a point to join you in doing things you like. He just wants to see your cute smile :)

“Come along now, there is still much more to see.”
