When Bakugou starts liking you, and everyone figures he likes someone, most of his friends get even friendlier with you. Partly because it’s someone Bakugou likes romantically and they just have to see what you’re all about (but like /pos), and to make you feel comfortable to stay around his small circles of friends. But most importantly- it’s funny as hell to see Bakugou nearly pop a vein when you’re talking to someone who isn’t him.
It’s Kirishima and Deku’s friendliness as they listen and nod along to everything you say like it’s the most interesting topic in the world. Bakugou knows they talk to everyone like that, but they don’t need to hang on every word you say or give compliments that make you laugh so bubbly.
It’s Sero who flirts with you jokingly and you play along with it. Says the scheduled meeting is just an excuse to come see you and he immediately has to brush it off as a joke when Bakugou grips his shoulder a little to hard.
It’s Todoroki who’s definitely not joking. He definitely likes you, sees what Bakugou sees in you. Stopping by with little gifts like your favorite snack or drink since he’s not that smooth with words. Making you blush when he very bluntly and directly tells you you’re pretty. Driving Bakugou insane when he tells you to work with him instead. Bakugou bans him from stopping by after that, not that it stops him.
It’s Shindou too…. Oh lord. He’s the most ready to fight Bakugou for you. Makes it super clear to you too, and you kind of can’t bring yourself to stop the bickering because seeing Bakugou get so defensive of you is a little sexy of him. How he puts an arm around you and gets nippy like a guard dog at his friends circling you. It’s what he gets for having a hot girlfriend tbh

I just told mom about some bits of Danny Phantom lore and it basically went like this:
Me: So, this kid goes into his mad scientists parents' portal, activates it, sorta dies and instantly resurrects as a half ghost.
Mom, terrified: Poor mother.
Me: Nah, his parents didn't actually notice, they're kinda negligent, too invested into their work.
Mom, more terrified: Poor children.

small angsty bite of love for the last episode. spoilers.
Tumblr media
jeans hands gently move over your body, taking all the time the world he doesn’t have as he buckles in your straps. the others were rushing to get ready, the sound of leather and metal clashing together — only to be drowned out by the rumbling outside.
“jean, we have to hurry.” you could hardly contain the panic in your voice. his harness was already on, he had thrown it on before turning to help with yours. all he does is look up from where he’s kneeling, quietly buckling the belt before rising back up.
“i know.” he says as he cups your face, worry lacing all of his features. his forehead leans down against yours, taking a steadying breath. “can we just pretend for a minute?”
“pretend?” you breathe back, the sound of everyone else drowning out behind you. jean always had that effect — making you feel like the two of you were the only people in the world. if only that were true.
“that this might not be the last time we see each other.” he pulls back and searches your eyes for something. “that the world isn’t ending and we are just two people who are in love.”
“jean.” you all but whisper, touched by his small proclaimation. your heart breaks as you watch his face show you something so vulnerable, something you haven’t seen in so long. the stoic mask he had been wearing the last few months was washed away by a dose of fleeting reality. “yes. we can pretend.”
without another word, he leans in to kiss you. surprisingly, it’s slow. taking all the time in the world to glide his lips over yours. the horrors from the real world slip away as you walk into this land of make believe.
but reality was cruel. armin clearing his throat breaks the illusion with a look of regret and sorrow. jean casts you one last warm smile, small enough to break through that mask before the walls inside of him are back up and you have to go face certain hell together.

we thought love was something (we weren't meant to find)
﹂ season two of "come home"
as you approach a year since will's disappearance, things seem to be back to how they were. you still have jonathan and the boys, hawkins is boring again, and you and steve harrington aren't really friends. you convince yourself that it's fine, but time can't heal all wounds, and you sure as hell have your fair share of them. when will starts having episodes and your brother hides a literal monster from you, junior year becomes a lot more painful than it already was. (and because you can never win, steve gets dragged into it). (more complicated feelings arise). (as usual).
episode one: MADMAX - what does steve fear more ? you or the plague ? currently it's you, some guy with an awful mullet stares you down in the parking lot (gross), nancy invites you to a party from your nightmares, and you become an official unlicensed therapist for will. yay for junior year !
episode two: trick or treat, freak - you and nancy have a bonding session in the library (kinda hot tbh), billy gives jonathan and steve a common cause to unite on: Protect Y/N, you're a chauffeur to a very sad steve harrington, and dustin uses will's trauma to his advantage.
episode three: the pollywog - you lecture jonathan about daddy issues and then have an intellectual debate about healthy relationships, you play Mr. Love Dr with Steve, nancy and jonathan go on a sick side quest (and actually inform you this time !), meanwhile: you're about to put a leash on your damn brother.
episode four: will the wise - jonathan is gone for one day and suddenly all hell breaks loose, your hesitant friendship with steve is already rocky (thanks billy) but steve is hot when he's angry tbh, you become a couple's counselor to lucas and max (sorry dustin), and you're now officially the world's worst cat owner ever. and babysitter. but what else is new ?
episode five: dig dug - you and dustin bury a body and con your mother into fleeing town, great sibling bonding time ! you play hockey with a monster, dustin gets ghosted by his friends, and now it's your turn to kidnap steve (technically dustin does, but you don't stop him) who later gives you some terrifying realizations.
episode six: the spy - dustin and steve haggle a butcher, you throw some meat at steve and then have a weird conversation about love, you stop dustin from becoming an incel, and then you wrestle some demodogs like any real woman would. side note: steve is hot protecting the kids.
episode seven: the mind flayer - jonathan is back and has a lot of questions and you have even more for him, the gang gets back together and ties will to a chair, you tell the kid a story to distract him from his demons, steve is a confused mess but at least youre with him, and someone makes a surprise appearance (her name rhymes with shell).
episode eight: the gate - you encourage nancy to take your place (everyone is shocked), you and steve are the newest babysitters in town, billy ruins things as always, tunnels are weird when youre concussed, you remind jonathan of an old promise, and when the snowball comes you make your own promise with steve that you know you can keep.
⌑ set between seasons 2 and 3
﹂ episode nine: the fall - surprise ! life still carries on even with minor brain damage from constant concussions :( on the bright side, you and the gang all become homies. meanwhile, steve grapples with the warm fuzzies and parental issues before his worst nightmare happens: you meet robin. the horrors !

DC X DP Prompt Fic Idea:
Twins AU but Tim and Danny are the twins.
Jack and Janet Drake planned for one son and one son only, so Danny (the youngest by 12 minutes) was a complete suprise neither really expected or wanted.
They're always busy and don't really have time for Tim - let alone Danny - so they have one of their employees take Danny and leave him at a random orphanage.
He gets adopted by one Jack (ironic, huh?) and Madeline Fenton, whose only daughter wanted a sibling.
Flash forward to Tim, grieving his parents death, finding out he had a twin brother that his parents gave up and trying to find him.

The water is still in the night. Its chaos—violent waves that crash and collide—disappears once the darkness blankets over the sky. The surface of the water reflects the stars, small freckles of light in the face of the ocean. Although gentle tides push and pull, the vast sea is silent as it sleeps.
There is a beat to be heard; a pulse from under the water, under the ocean floor, from the very core of Pandora. A strong, mighty rhythm that shakes the ground. But this heartbeat does not come from the Great Mother.
In the quiet of the night, the reflection of the sky in the ocean is disrupted. Calloused fingers break through the barrier, reaching past the thin veil. He grasps the air like a rope. The crown of his head splits the sea in half. The moon pulls him to her; his body, strong and powerful, ascends.
──
It was his mother who pressed his eyes closed when they were void of life. The blank face of your lover glared into your soul. The grip he had on your hand--desperately clinging onto you like it would heal the hole in his heart--vanished, and you were left to imagine his fingers were still intertwined with yours.
You remember the wave of realization on his father's face, how his ears slightly dropped and his bottom lip quivered when he noticed that the bullet had gone straight through his eldest son's chest. Crimson collected in his shaking palms. You knew then that there was nothing to be done. Nothing except to sit next to Neteyam, your prince, as his soul moved onto the Great Mother.
His funeral was inevitable. After the war was over, it was time for the Suli's to say goodbye. You stayed with his brother, Lo'ak's hands placed in yours, as Neteyam slowly sank deeper towards the ocean floor. His frame became smaller and smaller, until he was completely engulfed by luminescent tendrils. Your lover was no more.
The family struggled to carry on without him. You remained close with his siblings, thankfully. Kiri mourned by your side. For a time, it had been just her and Neteyam. He was born less than a month before her and she considered him to be her twin. Tuk was young, but old enough to understand, “He is with Eywa”.
Lo'ak, however, was almost never to be seen. If you managed to catch a glimpse of him, he was silent and reclusive. He even ignored Tsireya, who asked you multiple times if he was alright; you never had an answer.
Despite your great loss, the village of Awa'atlu continued on. Every morning, the fishermen and farmers rose early, the healers prepared their supplies, and the hunters readied their ilus to dive through the sea.
Life continued on as if Neteyam's soul had never been ripped out of your blood-soaked hands, as if his eyes had never looked their last to you. It broke your heart.
──
Although Jake Suli had finally recognized his youngest son for his true potential, it was too late. Lo'ak put the blame for Neteyam's death on himself. He accepted that he would forever carry that weight with him, no matter where he ran to or hid.
You knew that when he was nowhere to be found, he was somewhere far off in the sea on Payakan's fin. He stayed out late and missed ceremonies and Suli family meetings; it was Neteyam who always pushed Lo'ak to participate. But even when he laid underneath the stars on the back of Payakan, the ocean water gently lapping at his skin, the guilt still sat in his chest like the bullet in Neteyam's heart.
Without his older brother, Lo'ak ceased to exist. He refused to meet his eyes or even speak to his mother. He made himself an outcast before his family could. You recognized that the void in Lo'ak's life was the same one tearing you apart, so you felt that it was your responsibility to look after him.
"We must be strong," Neteyam had told you the night you left your home in the forest. You said goodbye to your family to be with him. He'd placed his palm over your heart. "In here."
It was eerie how you could still feel his touch as if he were right in front of you. Neteyam would've wanted you to stay strong for Lo'ak, and you would do anything to honor your mighty warrior.
Unfortunately, looking after Lo'ak wasn't easy when you could never find him. Two days had passed and you hadn't seen him once. You knew not to worry--Kiri noticed your concern and said she'd seen him with his tulkun just outside of the reef. "He didn't seem like he wanted to come back."
By that night, you'd given up. After a great feast held for the birth of Tonowari and Ronal's child, you separated yourself from the others and sat alone on a far-off shore. The ocean life illuminated the darkness around you, small specks of teal and gold light scattered in the water. Your feet had sunk into the wet sand as the calm waves kissed your ankles.
While the ocean held many wonders that continued to fascinate you, it left a bitter image burned into your memory.
There was fire off in the distance, gunshots and explosions, but they were all the least of your concern. You shook as you held his body in your arms. The water had turned violent, as if the Great Mother knew of the war taking place. Sharp, chaotic waves crashed against a rocky landing. Crimson pooled in the grooves of the rock, running down the sides to where it diluted in the vast sea.
You never allowed yourself to remember anything past that. The ocean had not redeemed itself just yet. You pulled your knees to your chest so your feet were out of the water. The silence of the night would never be peaceful; if it was quiet enough, you could still hear his voice in your ear.
Fortunately, the silence broke. Soft footsteps in the sand were trailing towards you, and wide, golden eyes met your small frame. Lo'ak had not expected you so far away from the village, alone, at night. "(y/n)," he froze. "What're you doing here?"
"Lo'ak," you let out a breath of relief that you'd been holding for the past few days. You stood and brushed the sand off of your legs. "I've- We've been looking for you. Your mother and father have been so worried."
He frowned at the mention of his family--of his father. He refused to even imagine what they could possibly think of him. "I was just out," Lo'ak tried to dismiss the topic and swiftly walked past you, his shoulder barely brushing yours. "I'm fine."
The remnants of your heart cracked once again. Even when a hand reached out for him, grasping onto his fingertips, he'd pull away. The fear of rejection--the thought of placing his trust in someone with only betrayal in return--was too great. Lo'ak would abandon others before they could abandon him.
"Lo'ak, please." your hand gently grabbed his shoulder to turn him back to you. He stood a few inches over you and refused to look down to meet your eyes.
There was a soft spark in his chest, and you could see the flame beginning to grow. "What do you want, (y/n)?" He retorted with a sigh.
"You know what it is, Lo'ak." You brushed your hand down his arm to meet his palm. You placed his own hand on top of his heart. He sighed, breath laced with heavy regret and guilt. Lo'ak knew that whatever he'd been hiding for the past few months would be coming up right there in front of you.
He practically collapsed onto the sand, feet set in the water and arms wrapped around his legs, but he quickly pulled himself away from the shore, just like you had earlier, once the memories began to feel too real. You sat right by his side and looked off to the dark horizon. The two of you stared with broken hearts. "Have you gone to see him?"
There was silence, apart from the gentle lapping of the waves and the village in the distance. "No," he regretfully looked down at his lap. "Have you?"
You shook your head, "No." Your response wasn't much better.
For as much as the two of you missed him, neither of you had gone to the Spirit Tree like the rest of the Suli family. The only images of Neteyam that you had left were the memories still burned into your vision. “I’m afraid to forget him,” Lo’ak admitted. He bit the inside of his cheek. “But I’m too scared to see him again.”
You looked to him with sympathetic eyes. For the first time since his brother’s death, Lo’ak broke. Three tears left a trail down his face to where they dropped off his skin and onto the sand. “I don’t know much about spirits,” you began. You set a firm, reassuring hand on Lo’ak’s shoulder. “But Neteyam loved us with all his heart. Even as he rests with the Great Mother, he loves us.”
He tried to nod along to your words as if he would better believe them. Lo’ak gently gasped before a quiet, broken sob left his throat, “I know it’s my fault.” His shoulders heaved. “If I hadn’t made him go back for Spider or- or if I stayed behind instead of him..”
“Oh, Lo’ak,” you cooed, turning towards him and engulfing him in a hug. He leaned his forehead down onto your shoulder. This was the first comfort he’d felt in months. “We can’t tell ourselves those things.”
His tears collected on your skin. “My brother,” he whimpered, “is gone.”
Your fingers gently caressed the back of his head, tracing over his braids. You shushed him, “There’s nothing we can do.” How could you affirm this to Lo’ak when you couldn’t even accept it yourself? You pulled away so you could look him in the eyes.
“I miss him too much.” Lo’ak wept.
Holding his face between your gentle hands, you nodded. Together, your tears soaked the sand beneath you; the two of you could’ve created an entire ocean. “I miss him, too, paskalin.” Your thumb soothed cheek and wiped away the tears from his eyes. “But we must stay strong for him.
“All we can do is remember. One day, we’ll be strong enough to see him, I know it. But for now, we must be strong,” You put your hand over his heart. The beat of his soul turned steady; you remembered how Neteyam’s slowed to a stop, and for the first time since his death, you pushed the memory away without a single tear. “In here.”
Lo’ak closed his eyes and calmed his breath, allowing the feeling of your palm on his skin to soothe him. He’d opened himself and poured out his heart. Now, he could heal.
The night continued on, and you stayed with Lo’ak throughout the dark reign. He could take however long he needed. You would comfort him through whatever war he created in his mind. The tide came in, brushing water against your knees, but the two of you remained.
Finally, he opened his eyes. “We should return to the village.” Before, Lo’ak spoke bluntly with a dismissive mask to cover how broken he truly was. Now, his voice was firm and strong.
“Are you sure?” You warned. He stood and you cautiously rode with him.
His hands, which had been balled in tense fists, released themselves. Lo’ak nodded, “I’ve been too focused on my brother that I’ve forgotten the rest of my family. Do you think they’ll forgive me?”
With a sweet, proud smile, you offered, "They already have."
──
The path back to the village was peaceful given that you and Lo'ak had come to terms with your grief. He had warned you that his parents would most likely be angry when you returned since it'd been hours since they'd last seen you and days since they'd seen him. You'd consoled him, "We'll get through it together."
It was strange that in Neteyam's absence, you and Lo'ak were able to replace the void with each other. Although he was only a year younger, you'd always felt a sisterly love for him, the same way that you felt for Kiri or Tuk. Now that your connection with Lo'ak had healed, maybe you could too.
Life ahead was beginning to look a little brighter in that moment as you walked on the shore.
But your peace was short-lived.
The village was close enough that you could see the pods, docks, and several Metkayina men with glowing lanterns that noticed you and Lo'ak approaching. They called out and, together, the two of you rushed to them.
"What is wrong?" Lo'ak prodded, trying to look past their broad shoulders at the commotion that was collecting in the village.
You tried as well but they were too tall compared to you. "You must come with us," one of the men said. The flames in the lanterns gently flickered but you could well enough see Kiri running in the distance. Her eyes were wide with fear like she'd seen a ghost.
"Kiri!" You exclaimed.
She pushed past the men and, out of breath, embraced Lo'ak. "Brother!" There were tears falling from her eyes, only you had expected her to happily cry at the sight of Lo'ak. Instead, she wept. "You must come. Come, (y/n)."
Kiri led you both back to the village, the men following after you to provide light. Almost every person in Awa'atlu--man, woman, young, and old--crowded near the shore. They yelled and gasped, cursing and praying. The three of you struggled to push past everyone, accidentally stepping on tails and toes and bumping elbows and shoulders.
Everyone seemed to look at you and Lo'ak with sympathy. Lo'ak sensed it as well, and looked just as confused as you were.
The crowd was like a hurricane, and in the center, the eye was calm. Jake and Neytiri kneeled on the ground, Tuk crying into her father's arm. Tonowari, Ao'nung, and a collection of soldiers held the people back. Ronal sat across from Neytiri, muttering a prayer with her eyes shut. Kiri ran to her mother's side. Tsireya rushed to Lo'ak as he collapsed.
Your heart stopped.
On the ground, where the ocean met the sand, a figure laid. He had strong legs and arms, a strapping abdomen, and calloused palms and fingers. There was a scar on the outside of his right thigh. Tanhì scattered across his body like the constellations reflected on the ocean.
Your prince. His ghost would forever haunt you. What had you done wrong? What had you done for the Great Mother to curse you like this? Just as you could feel your wounds beginning to heal, your heart crumbled again.
You fell to your knees, placing your hand over your mouth to cover the ear-splitting wail you released. You could fully see your Neteyam now. Just as you had remembered it, but his eyes were gently shut. Neytiri cried alongside you, and your heart almost broke even further until you heard her whisper, "Thank you, Great Mother. Thank you."
What was she grateful for? Jake noticed your confusion, and with a hopeful smile, he took your hand and placed it on Neteyam's heart. Underneath the weight of your palm, you felt a gentle pulse. A steady, soft rhythm that rocked your core. Your tears stopped, a cry stuck in your throat.
You looked down to his body and gasped. "Oeyä tìyawn," you whispered out to him, hoping he would hear it. Through just two words, your voice called out to him.
Golden eyes, that you thought you would never see again, opened.
His father gasped; his mother laughed; his sisters cheered, and his brother bowed with his forehead touching the ground. Neteyam's mighty heartbeat reached across Pandora.
"Ma 'Teyam," you smiled. You could taste your own tears as they reached the corners of your mouth. For the first time in months, you weren't crying from a split in your heart--you cried at the feeling of it healing. You were foolish to think the Great Mother would curse you. "Thank you, Great Mother."
Only two minutes had passed until you noticed the laughter and cheers of others had disappeared. The night had become silent again. Your smile fell when you recognized that Neteyam had not yet embraced you. In fact, he stayed frozen on the ground.
His eyes were still open, but they were wide and full of fear. Tuk reached for his hand, and he quickly pulled away with a scared gasp. He flinched when his own mother caressed his cheek. "Neteyam," she pleaded. Finally, his eyes met yours. You looked to him with desperate affection, practically shooting beams of love towards him. Your stomach dropped when you noticed it.
Your prince did not know who you were.

Kaeya had always been an efficient and hard-working individual (he had to be to support Diluc in the background as his brother rose thru the ranks after all).
He has so much free time because he completes all his work way ahead of schedule. And if he still has enough time, he adds more to the workload in secret.
And once all of that was done and over with, he makes time for everyone. He has to. He feels as if every moment has to be given to someone else.
No one knows how he does it. No one has to know.
Every mission has a dozen strategies in line, and every battle plan is made with efficiency in mind. His perfect record will not be tarnished. He can't risk it (even if it baffles others that he would willingly activate a ruin guard just to prevent a failed mission. Jean disagrees with his methods, but Kaeya can say that the results say otherwise)
He needs to be quick.
Efficient.
Perfect.
And so he comes and goes like the wind.
Kaeya values time because he knew every second counted. He can't just stand there as if he were frozen. Time could run out in an instant.
Kaeya had only been late once his entire life.
He'd rather he never be late ever again.
It took one day of being of being imperfect for everything to fall apart. On that tragic day...had he gotten there on time... then maybe...
.
.
.
" Come on, let's get moving, traveler. We're not frozen in place after all. " Kaeya teasingly says. He stiffles a giggle at the traveler's exhasperated sigh.
"Yeah yeah, we've heard enough of you calling us a slacker. Can't you be a bit more patient?" Paimon whines at him.
Kaeya snorts, but acquiesces, hiding the shaking of his hands at the thought of being idle.
He imagines hearing a clock ticking.
Kaeya knows that that is his own problem. He tries his hardest to relax as he waits for the traveler to finish whatever they're making on the alchemy table because, seriously, it is supposed to be a relaxing day. There's nothing major going on, and his schedule is once again empty as intended. What's the hurry?
Kaeya taps his foot on the ground as he waits. He wishes he could take his own damn advice when he tells others to relax.
#kaeyachi randoms#kaeya#kaeya alberich#this is actually shorter than it originally was can yall believe?#kaeya with anxiety truther there i said it#kaeya cant stand being IDLE#get it? get it?#you see that is a play of words in reference to when he is stood idle on our screens. he is one of the more verbally impatient characters#and we also see it reflected on his actions both in fighting and at work. he has a speed boost bonus and if he isnt teleporting he is#actually moving so fast that he seems like it. this is what i also concluded that results him in large amounts of free time that only amber#seemed to be hardpressed about. the people of mondstadt find him reliable and approachable despite the lax attitude and frequent nights at#angels share. we also had lore tidbits before of kaeya straight up saying he finished all his work and jean saying that he also did the#backlogged ones. It is actually insane that we hear him relaxing frequently and i bet its not because of the lack of horses COZ LOOK AT HOW#BUSY THE OTHER CAPTAINS ARE. Also id like to think that he is a toned down noelle and that is why jean told him to watch over her training#give us noelle and kaeya interactions pls i kinda need it tbh#to all those that reached this far into the notes i actually have more to say so get ready#if it wasnt clear the only day he was late was when crepus died. everything fell apart for him that day so i can see some obsessive need to#just keep running around and doing things as efficient as possible. I also think that he found the knights slow and inefficient in several#occasions and he is willing to put them in the line of fire just to get their hearts pumping with adrenaline (and fear lol). idk kaeya is#just so anxiety-coded. impatience-core. Mr. dont waste my time type of guy. and also wow look i found a way to make his idles become angst#silly me ehe#oh youre still here? how about i tell you that kaeya-efficiency-alberich probably knows where everyone is at any time of the day?#can we honestly please give him more free time i need more of him tbh#fun reminder that bro is working around 3-4 jobs casually lmao#i also just realized that the notes is a whole nother post on its own#AND THE ACTUAL FUNNY PART IS I CAN STILL ELABORATE MORE ON THIS LMAO#wait let me add this one tiny idea too but he thinks time is so valuable. bro lost 2 dads and lost time with his bro + he significantly#lessened his time at dawn winery for quite some time. i can see why he is extroverted now.

Warnings: grammar - Bubbly reader - Suna and Reader met at Uni- Emotional and physical absence - There's mention of Osamu's love life - none other I can think of
Tumblr media
When Suna had met you he was taken back by your cheerfulness. Not only it was a contrast with his personality but he "awkwardly" noticed that your brightest smiles and softests glances were aimed at him.
At first he couldn't care less. He thought that maybe you were just like the twin's fans in high-school: girls who looked at them for their physique and athletic capacities, not really caring about them as people
How wrong he was
"You are the only one I'll ever love"
First it was a strawberry package of gummies and green chuupets, placed not so discreetly on his desk.
He remembered how the last day he mentioned he was craving those, having to self cut his own weekly allowance if he wanted to start preparing for the big leagues.
His glance drifted over you, talking with your friends
You just gave him a shy smile, a light wave and went with your stuff to the next class
Oh?
"(I gotta tell ya, I gotta tell ya)"
Next it was a whole bunch of snacks and drinks, he knew it was for him cuz the bag was decorated with an odd fox that resembled the middle blocker.
You two had already started talking and shared some time chatting about the homework you had to do, gossiping about your own circle of friends.
He knew you liked him, not being ashamed of your heating face and breathless laugh every time he made eye contact or grazed your hands
Slowly and steadily his cheeks would burn too, just a little bit according to him
After going into a pull and loose period you asked him out. If he was honest he did think that you were the one for him
"Yeah, you, if it's not you, it's not anyone"
But sadly, thoughts sometimes don't translate into actions.
"Rin I'm just asking for a couple hours for us"
He would promise to cut his practice or outings the next time, you could always reschedule right? You weren't as busy as him
"Rin, you've been out for so long. It wouldn't hurt you to call me after 2 weeks right?"
He would tell you that there was no need to be on top of him every single second of his time "Grow up, you don't need my attention"
"Are you.... Are you ignoring me right now?"
He was sure you would ask for forgiveness first, why even try?
"Suna. What's wrong?"
The loud bang on the door was the only answer for you
Weren't you supposed to be the supportive one in the relationship? Why would he need to work things out? You always came back after his promises.
You were always for him
But his time was now up, you were gone
"Looking back on my lifeYou're the only good I've ever done (ever done)"
Suna Rintarō, former middle blocker of Inarizaki and now player of EJP Raijin, was utterly and completely in denial.
The break up after all wasn't all that messy, sure you left while he was out, but you were tactful enough to leave a letter
"Suna Rintarō.
I know our last months of relationship were trashy, we didn't communicate in the best way possible (you didn't most of the times but still)
I love you and I will always love you, but in the future maybe not with the type of love I'm feeling right now.
I forgive you, but I don't want to share more moments with you, not like this. Maybe we can be friends.... So please work on your issues
From the girl who was yours"
And he now knew that he was positively lost
Maybe he could had gone to other dates, find someone not so high maintenance (a term he used to tell himself to lower the guilt). But no one was never enough
Things that maybe he found endearing with you now felt like a burden with other people
When he tried going through a place you used to share it would always bring the memory of you and your smile, oh your sweet smile that used to be only for him
If you were in the wrong then why did he stared longingly to your former couple photos
He missed you
He missed you so bad it was going to bring him to insanity
"Yeah, you, if it's not you, it's not anyone"
A good amount of 7 months had passed since you escaped, if he was now to describe it
Having to act as Osamu's love therapist gave him even more insight of what he had done and the realization felt on him like a bucket of cold water
"She wasn't home Suna, and she would always find excuses. So so lame everytime that I-I just couldn't do it no more"
That expression was awfully common for him
"I did what she wanted everytime....."
"OK Rin, let's stay home I know you're tired"
"And 'm busy too y'know? But I kinda loved her, I really did"
"Remember that I love you Rin"
He did his best to console his friend. But now he couldn't get you out of his head
He was a horrible boyfriend and he was feeling awful when all the recent memories came back.
Not only it was the fact the he was missing you, but he knew that he was at fault
How could he let go when you were all that he wanted and needed?
He had to get to you and ask for forgiveness again, he had to show you how bad he loved you
How he truly adored you
Osamu knew he had struck a nerve when Suna left in a rush, sighing and shaking his head
While running through the city Suna could only think of you, his mind plagued with every touch, every gift, every breath. He had to find you
He knew you were still living in the area, you never blocked him from the media so he was well acquaintanced with your new favourite spots
He also hadn't seen a new person so he could just hope
He could do better, he knew he would
The beautiful sound of your voice made him stop on his track
"Wakatoshi? Why are you giving me this?"
"Just because"
Wakatoshi? As Ushijima Wakatoshi?
"That's not a proper reason love, I don't really need these"
You giggled and he wondered if the tears forming onto his lash line were relief of hearing that sound again
Or if they were cuz he wasn't the reason behind it
"But you look really beautiful with those, and I know you like this color"
Your silence would only mean you were either blushing or hiding your face onto the ex Shiratorizawa's ace chest
Something you used to do with Suna
He held his breath to calm his erratic heart, trying to suppress the fall of his tears
He felt worthless of those "How pathetic" he thought
After all these time, not only he did hurt you but he was expecting a second chance like it was nothing. As he hadn't break your heart multiple times
He had to be a man, and suck it up.
Next time he met Ushijima (a week later) in the lockers after a successful game he asked about you
"How's she?"
"Better and happy"
If we were to enter Ushijima's mind we would be able to see the conflict he was going through
You have told him all about what happened, how you actually forgave Suna and how you still wanted to believe in love.
He recognized Suna as a good player and team mate, but he couldn't really stand the thought of him hurting you
Even tho, it was a contrast what you had narrated to the almost grieving man that was in front of him. Well, he didn't have to fear anything
"She wanted me to hand you this"
Suna knew already the contents of the paper, since the envelope was carefully crafted, with details in cream and olive green
He knew, he just knew
"Thank you for..... Taking care of her.... Please Ushijima, love her on my behalf"
"I will"
And like that, when the day of the event arrived, Suna couldn't help but to cry at your vows.
He hoped he was the one in front of you
He hoped he was the one giving you the prettiest ring on the world
But now he could only imagine and live the consequences of his actions
Cuz if it wasn't you, then there wouldn't be anyone
Tumblr media
Howdy I took my sweet time anon I apologise and I hope this was what you wanted!
I wrote this like on 5 different days so I uh sorry if the vibes are different
Thank you again for the request love ^^ hope you like it

so my brother and i watched the episodes and yes, all signs point to clone x being tech, but we were throwing around suggestions, and we both thought of one name that would cause SO much angst.
dogma.
dogma, who we don't know exactly what happened to him.
dogma, who went along with the regulations until it was too late, and did the only thing he could think of to avenge his fallen brothers, and make it up to the living ones.
dogma, who left behind his best friend after what he did, who learned of tup's death, and wanted to do what he could to help, but ended up trapped and experimented on until he lost every little piece of himself.
just... rex and echo realizing who it is, maybe by taking off the helmet, either when it's too late, or just in time, and both of them just freezing, because it's their vod'ika, the one who struggled so much, whose mind was never truly his own, who was used by so many different evils.

Febuwhump Day 18
@nancyheart11 you asked me for a Twilight Whump for this one, so I did my best! He wasn't talking, but it's a little tastier with the spice of another perspective >:)
I hope you enjoy!
Rating: Gen
Wordcount:
Summary: They talked about wandering off alone, but that doesn't exactly stop certain people (AKA Twilight) from not doing it again. Maybe Warriors is taking it too personally, but Mask's pup is giving him a headache. He just wants all his little brothers safe in one place, is that too much to ask?
(Note: I have not proof written this. My apologies, but half my keys aren't working, so typos are probably there.)
-
They do not run off alone, they just don’t! It’s not so much a rule as something that everyone understands, so why in Hylia’s name is it still so hard for the others to actually do? Warriors resists the urge to hiss at himself; he is not Mask or Wild, he is not a feral little creature that can’t use his words, but by Hylia’s Wings does he wish he could get away with it sometimes!
They’d talked about this! Not at length, and yes, his opinions had been very quickly dismissed in favor of discussing the ability of their enemy to shapeshift, but he’d expressed his disapproval with running off alone in the middle of a battle!
But who really listens to him anyway?
No, the captain stops in his tracks for a moment to shake off that thought, that’s not fair. Most of the other heroes listen. For Wind it’s second nature, and Time too, most days, listens without thinking about it. Even as an adult, the other respects his experience in leadership and knowledge of fighting and working with others. Four, even for his faults when it comes to actually working with and not simply around other people, still hears him out when he speaks. Sky and Hyrule both respect him for his title of knight and the work he’d put in to earn it, and even Legend, who despises soldiers, will respect his decisions and follow the plans he’s set. Yes, there's some disconnect, which is to be expected when working with a new team of people that aren’t accustomed to each other just yet, but they’re trying. Most of them are trying.
Twilight and Wild are their own story.
The captain’s teeth saw against each other as he ducks through the underbrush, following the faint trail left by big paws and the even bigger tracks of a moblin. How can a person be so determined to keep others in line and behaving, to keep others in the group safe and obeying the rules, and yet they themselves trod all over them?
Granted, he is also currently separate from the group, wandering off alone, but he’s not the only one and everyone else knows what he’s doing. He’s tracking Twilight while the rest collect themselves and make camp. Wild had offered to do it, but after the last time, he just can’t trust the kid to actually come back; Wild’s proved where his loyalties lie, and it’s with the rancher, not their group. When asked to make the choice, they all know what it would be.
He told the champion to stay.
He doesn't know if he’ll be listened to, since that’s also the other point of struggle here, but he’s done all he can. He’s a good tracker, used to picking up the slightest sign of enemy activity, and his reasoning of being their current medic and thus the best choice in the case Twilight had gotten injured in some way, seems to be reason enough for most of the rest. There’s offers of course, to have someone go with him as backup, but looking over the tired men and boys in camp, he turns them all down. They need the rest, and time to recover from their own injuries and exhaustion. As a soldier, he’s been trained to push his limits, his exhaustion, his pain, his physical abilities, and ignore all barriers until his assignment is completed. The others may be heroes, ones who’ve faced odds that soldiers could never imagine, but they’re not likely to have experienced that sort of pressure and he wouldn’t want them to.
They need their rest. He can get his once his duty is done.
Now if only Twilight wouldn’t make it so hard by having wandered off to Nayru knows where!
A hand drags through his hair, disrupting it, but it doesn’t matter. Yes, there’s a small voice that hisses to fix it, one that sounds a bit like Proxi, but these heroes care even less for how he looks on any given day than for what he says.
Still being unfair, Link. They aren’t all bad. They’re good kids.
Sure, they’d probably all take offence at being called kids but that’s what they are! The youngest are very young and even Time, their eldest, still looks to him through force of habit for guidance and aid. At most, he’d say the oldest most of them could be is twenty, early twenties for the rancher and skyloftian, but that’s still young enough to still be tripping over themselves in an effort to understand adulthood. They are, in his mind, still kids, and they’re mostly good ones, so he really can’t go lumping them all together as not giving a darn when they very much do. Not about his looks, thank Hylia, but about what he has to say? Most definitely.
Again, it’s just Time’s pups who don’t.
Goddesses, they take after their old man to an extreme level! It feels like just yesterday he was chasing down the little scamp, explaining the importance of comradery, of trust, of teamwork. Just yesterday, he was tilting brilliant blue eyes up to meet tired ones and asking, nearly begging, for the kid to please just give his way a chance.
He sort of doubts such methods will work on his kid’s much older pup though.
Twilight and Wild are similar in that they are stubborn, but they’re also much older than Mask had been, and neither is desperate for the stability the young boy had sought. They have Tie and each otehr, their own little bubble, separate from the rest of the heroes, and while both have an obvious respect for his skill, that’s about where their respect for him ends. They don’t look up to him, don’t admire him, don’t see him as anything more than another hero in their group, which is nice as far as not needing to babysit them goes. He’s glad that they don’t need him to keep an eye on them, that they’re stable enough mentally and in their perception of themselves that they don’t need someone else to support them, and if they do, they’ve already found that in each other. Still, having even the smallest of ways to get through to either of them would be nice.
He’d thought that experience with the army would help connect him with the champion, that maybe a bond with Time could be something he could connect with the rancher about, but so far, no dice.
His feet skid slightly on some leaves, bringing his attention back to the task at hand. Right, he needs to find Twilight. He can worry about driving home the idea of not running off alone when he’s sure the other is still alive. Granted, they didn’t see the black lizalfoes, or anything they think might have been another form of the beast, in this last battle, but it doesn’t take the most powerful of monsters to lay a hero low, especially if they don’t have anyone to watch their backs.
The paw prints change to boot prints with the same seamlessness as they’d become paws at the beginning of the trail, and blood, crimson not black, spatters on the ground in an arc that indicates a swinging blade right where the moblin’s feet shift into a spin to face its pursuer. The trail of blood falls to the left of the trail, which means it could be delt by the left-handed hero or by the opposing monster, but considering the sudden turn, his money is on the rancher being the injured party here.
By habit, his hand falls to his bag, assuring himself he’s got his med kit close at hand.
By the three, these boys could save themselves so much pain if they just covered each others’ asses! Next time they get to the ranch or any place where they can stop for a little, he’s asking Time to help him arrange a training session for these kids. Maybe with their unofficial leader’s support, he can even get the two pups in on the session. As is, he’s sure Wind and four will be willing, and Sky will most definitely be his most valuable asset in teaching them. Good grief, whatever the Knights Academy on Skyloft is teaching, they're doing a great job, because that boy melds seamlessly in with whomever is closest to him!
That may or may not be why he keeps close to the skyloftian, but who can blame him for wanting the assurance of having someone to watch his back when he’s so busy trying to keep an eye on all the others all the time?
Twilight could have used the same, and blood specks along the trail as he goes. The steps become distorted, shuffling over each other in what’s clearly a break from the chase to fight. Here though, seven or eight paces from the initial blood spatter, more footprints join the mix. A bokoblin- no, two of them. The rancher’s steps disappear for a short moment, but with some looking around he finds them again. A flip or a throw landed him behind his foe, but he’s pushed back, heels dragging as they shuffle backwards into the woods as the enemy presses forwards against him.
More tracks join the mix; an ambush.
He grits his teeth, pushing forwards, ignoring, for the most part, the trail of the monsters in favor of following boot prints that press heavily to the dirt at the heel and toe, running, now pursued rather than the pursuer. The rancher will have known to try and limit the area of approach from his foes by darting into the trees. At best, he’d have circled around to pick them off from behind, but the prints don’t indicate as much. The speed of the different monster types will change have changed the tides of the fight though, with the bokoblins moving faster, prints fading out entirely as they likely fell and faded to miasma, leaving behind a moblin trail that continues, joined by more of its kind. He’d estimate at least three, maybe five of the creatures.
Not great odds for one already injured rancher.
He picks up his own pace. There’s no sounds of battle ahead or anywhere close by, not that he can hear. Granted, cannon fire in the war has definitely damaged his hearing enough that he could just be missing it, but he chooses to believe that there’s nothing, if only in the hope that Twilight will somehow be headed back along the trail towards him already, instead of being even further out, still in the middle of a fight.
He doesn’t stumble across the rancher walking along the path though. No, he follows the fight, the footprints, trailing through the trees until there’s nowhere else to go. A wall of earth, steep enough to be a struggle to climb for anyone currently being chased, rises up and the footprints spin about to face those following after. He doesn’t keep track after that though, because the moment he sees fur and brass armor that catches the fading light, he knows his search is done.
“There you are, rancher.”
The urge to steal Time’s thunder and call the other man a pup- not with the affection of the now older man but with all the ire of its original connotation among his own people, is strong, but he resists. That would be considered out of line without context, and he doubts Twilight even knows the source of the nickname he so values from his mentor.
Knowing it means a young person who’s annoying but not yet unbearable, yet, would probably kill some of that magic.
So, he bites his tongue, keeps his impulses to himself, and moves to the side of the younger man, who’s currently slumped against a tree, breath strained but still there as dark eyes, a shade or so darker than Time’s own, flutter slightly with an effort to stay open.
“Cap’n?”
Darker or not, there’s definitely a lot of Time- of Mask, in the rancher’s face, and it makes staying mad with him a bit of a challenge when he’s looking so pathetic. “Got yourself in quite the situation, haven’t you,” he hums, kneeling at the younger’s side and taking his time with a once over. The rancher’s tunic has taken damage, but his concern is where crimson leaks from the tears, not where blades have slashed through only to be halted by chain mail. Yes, the bruising won’t be fun, but his concern is something he can fix, anything that Twilight will actually need help with.
There’s a wince from the other. “Not my intent.”
“Never is,” he unclips the bag from his belt, eyes falling on a nasty looking gash just below the cut off of the chainmail’s sleeves. There are some light scratches over browned features and an injury to the leg that leaks slowly into the earth below, but the rancher’s armor looks to have done its job well.
“The others?”
“Fine.” He keeps his attention on slipping the bracer from his brother’s arm, on unbuckling and sliding away the leather, the underlying glove, and then rolling up the sleeve to get at the injury he needs to treat. Wound care fills his mind, not answers, not talking. That can come once he’s assured that the other is alright. Much as the man drives him mad, he’s still Time’s kid, and still a fellow hero, still a brother, still someone who doesn’t deserve to suffer just because he’s particularly good at being stupid and reckless.
“Wild?”
“Fine.” He repeats, sucking in his cheeks as he sees the damage done without fabric blocking the way. Claws do so much more damage than blades, and the chances of infection are higher too. Not as much as with bites, but it’s still not preferrable.
“The kids?”
He huffs, turning to grab for his kit, looking for anything he might have to quickly clean the wound. “You’d know if you didn’t run away mid battle.”
Hurt crosses sloping features briefly, not for the prodding at the wound site, but from his sharp tongue. Regret stirs briefly at his heart, but like his ire, he pushes it down to keep his head clear and his mind focused on his work as their team’s current medic.
“Yer upset.”
The urge to tell the kid ‘no shit’ is very strong, but he bottles up that too. Instead, he keeps his eyes on the wound, on wiping it down and looking for anything that might have gotten into the cut.
Twilight’s ears flick back, not appreciating having his words ignored. If there’s one thing the rancher is accustomed to, it’s answers when he speaks. Wild always answers, Time too even if it’s not verbal, and the younger ones always respond to. Being met with silence, both verbally and in body language, must be new to him. “Did somethin’ happen?” And when he still doesn't answer, “Wars, what’s goin’ on?”
“They’re fine, now hush.” It’s a deep cut. Not as bad as the axe wound, but not light by any means either, and it will need stitches. He keeps his needles in a bottle, clean and ready for use, for this reason. Mask used to fuss that it was a waste of a good bottle, and the thought lightens his heart just slightly as he pulls it out and grabs the needed supplies to close the wound in the rancher’s arm.
“No, Wars-” there’s a straining from the body beneath his hands, but Twilight doesn’t successfully pull himself up, and his face flashes white for a moment before he slumps again. It seems the mighty rancher has spent all his strength in fighting alone, nothing left to use to so much as sit up by himself.
“Stay still,” he sighs, pushing down, entirely unnecessarily, against a shoulder. It’s for the sake of the man’s pride, he tells himself, to pretend to play along that twilight can get up on his own right now. “Let me work.”
Work and bottle up his frustrations enough that he can talk afterwards.
Twilight, however, has no such intentions of likewise staying silent. “Captain, what’s goin’ on?”
“I said stay still.”
“Are they hurt?” Blue eyes bleed worry, the same desperation his mentor used to let slip, sometimes still does when it’s his pup in trouble or hurt. “What happened?”
“Nothing.”
“Why are you actin’ like this then?”
The urge to growl again rises, and again he shoves it down with pursed lips and clenched teeth, focusing his energy on starting the stitches and hoping the pain of them will be enough to distract the younger man from his line of questioning. It doesn’t work though.
“Wars?”
“Twilight,” his voice snaps without his allowing it, eyes flicking up to meet midnight blue, “I’m trying to focus. Stitches aren’t easy, believe it or not.”
They’re familiar and he’s done more stitches in his life through human flesh and zora scales than his baby sisters have in their needlework projects that Maither gives them. He won’t admit that though, not if it gives him an out from having to talk. Honestly, some days, he really misses having Proxi around to speak for him when he’s stressed. She was always much better at that sort of thing than he was.
Twilight falls quiet at his words though, but he still feels those eyes fixed on him, searching his face even as their gaze is broken with a flinch or a huff of pain as the needle pressed through flesh and pulls the two edges of the cut together. He has to stop a few times to dab away blood and clear the area for the next stitch, but he’s quick about his work. In and out, twisting the thread together to close the wound, moving on to the next stitch and watching as the flesh pulls together again over where blood leaks out.
He's done before he’s ready to talk again, but bandaging is something they’ve all done, and he can’t say that actually takes so much focus as to stop him talking, and Twilight knows it, already pressing again with the questions. “Wars-”
A scoff escapes, puffing hair out of his eyes to clear them, even though having it to hide behind would be much more preferable. “You really are Time’s pup, aren’tcha?”
A tick. “What does that mean?”
He ties off the ends of the linen wrap, tight enough to hold but not so much as to cut off circulation. “You’re a worrier and a fuss pot.”
Heavy brows crease in answer, but Twilight doesn’t actually have a foot to stand on when it comes to opposing his words. Instead, the rancher just stares at him, waiting until Warriors turns his attention to the injured leg, arm finished.
It’s only once he’s gotten a start on treating the cut there (this time from a blade) that the rancher’s voice rises again, guarded and wary. “You’re mad at me,”
He doesn’t answer.
Rather than guess why, Twilight pushes ahead. “I couldn’t let that moblin escape. We don’t know what’s out here, and letting it terrorize a village jist wouldn’t do. You know that, Wars.” When there’s no answer though, the country accent keeps rolling, pitching slightly, straining. “There was a whole ‘nother camp out here, one that might have attacked us in the night!” And then, when still no answer sounds from his lips, “You would have done the same.”
“I would not.” He clips, snipping his thread and briefly glancing over at wide eyes. “I would have attended to my men and then pursued the enemy when we, as a team, were capable of doing so Wandering off on my own is what nearly lost us the war. So, as a rule, I won’t be doing that again unless I absolutely must.”
That shuts the rancher up, recognition dawning in midnight eyes that falter and fall as he turns his attention back to tending wounds.
There’s no more pushing done by either party, and it’s quiet as he works save the hisses and hitches of the younger man’s breath in pain as stitches are laid and bandages wrapped. That done though, the quite is almost overwhelming, even to him, and he finds himself sighing at it, crouching before his pup’s pup and resisting, with a lot of effort, the urge to hook a finger under the other's chin and lift that gaze to meet his own, like he’d done with his own kid what feels like only yesterday. Instead, he keeps his hands to himself, but gentles his gaze all the same. It’s not that hard, not when faced with familiar features drawn up in a soft scowl that, were it Mask, he’d teasingly call a pout. “I’m not mad,” a disbelieving look meets his own at the words, but he pushes his tone a bit firmer with the next ones. “I’m frustrated, but we can work over that later, preferably after we’ve all had dinner and some rest. For now, we should head back to the others, before your cub starts thinking we’ve dropped off the face of the world or something.”
A furrow forms between dark brows, too sharp teeth, wolf teeth he muses to himself, gnawing at the other's cheek lining. It’s a bad habit, and he’s sure the man knows it, but he doesn’t correct it. That’s not his place.
He can guess what’s troubling Twilight though. “Can you stand?”
A huff, a little smile that’s flustered enough he can guess the answer. “Not really.”
He knew it. He doesn’t hold it against the other though, instead, shifting to kneeling at the man’s side, shuffling about as he must before giving a waring of his intent. “I’ll carry you then.”
Alarm flashes clear as day over the rancher’s face. “Cap, I don’t-”
“I’m stronger than I look,” he assures, although it doesn’t seem to do any good. No doubt, twilight’s staring at his slighter frame and remembering his own bulk, but honestly, he’d served for years in the army. If he couldn’t haul an injured soldier any distance, he wouldn’t be worth the rupees he earns.
Getting Twilight up on his back with no help from the weakened rancher or anyone else is a bit of a mess, and there’s some slipping and struggle which the rancher no doubt sees as proof that this is no good, but despite protests, he keeps at it until the other is slung over his back. Twilight is heavy, much more so than the other boys would be, but it’s not his first time hauling an Ordonian to safety, and the bulk of his brother just means he moves a bit slower than he would otherwise.
Twilight’s grip around his neck is weaker than is ideal, but in the long run, it’s probably better that way, because it means his breath doesn't get cut off as he heads back to camp.
Like he said, once they’re there, when they’ve had something to eat, and probably after the rancher downs a potion from his cub’s bag, they’ll need to talk. This time, he will not accept having them change the subject or redirect. This time they will discuss going off alone.
After though. After they’ve had time to catch their breath. And he supposes, shaking his head, after Twilight wakes up again from the doze he’s apparently fallen into.
Good grief, the man even snores as loud as his mentor!

you’ve been in bed all weekend, looking a mess
you weren’t responding to anyone and tae had started begging to just let him know that you were safe
and you texted him that you were home and just wanted to be alone
and now you’re by yourself
why
and how
did you ever let that punk get to you like this
get serious!!!
his words should mean nothing to you!!!
and you put him in his place!!
you definitely made your feelings towards him CLEAR
but you’ll also never forget the way he looked at you
instant regret settled on his features
toward the end of your harsh rant, his teeth were anxiously nibbling in his bottom lip you were surprised he didn’t end up bleeding
seeing him so stressed and anxious was so different to his usual stoic and cocky self
not to mention–
knock knock knock knock knock
who the fawk is knocking at your door at 9pm on a sunday
man
what’s going on
you slowly get up and make your way to your front door, cracking it open and peeking with one eye
“you had me worried, y/n.” taehyung’s voice is lathered in genuineness
you sigh and open the door for him, allowing him to pull you into a tight hug
“what happened? i assumed the worst happened to you in that club. one minute you were dancing with yoongi and then you were gone and i don’t hear from you at all.”
he sways with you from left to right, soothingly rubbing your back
you blink back your tears and just inhale his familiar scent
he smells like musk and cookies
you love his scent
:(
“you didn’t get–” he pauses, “like no one tried to–” he pauses again, “like did someone–”
huh
oh
okay
you realize he’s trying to ask you if you’d gotten sexually harassed or assaulted
“no, tae. nothing of the sort.” you pull back and look up at him, rubbing his chest
he visibly relaxes and brings his hand up to your face, rubbing out the scrunch between your brows
“then what happened, babe?”
you quietly sigh and shake your head in dismissal. “nothing. i felt sick. went home. been in bed for 2 days.”
“but why didn’t you answer my texts? or yoongi’s? we were seriously worried, y/n.”
sigh
“i’m sorry.” you flick his forehead and it allows you to escape his embrace
he follows you to your living room and jumps onto your couch
“don’t jump on my furniture!!!!”
he ignores you and reaches for your remote before turning the tv on.
“you got any snacks?” he asks you, feet up on the table
annoying little fuck
you kick his feet off your table. “not for you.”
he whines loudly but then sits up right and glances at you. “so, we wanna go on a camping trip and we’re wondering… if you’d wanna join?”
you look at him as you sit down next to him, snatching the remote out of his hand. “and who is we?”
he chuckles, “i don’t have a whole lot of friends, y/n.”
“taehyung, you literally say ‘hey, what’s up’ about 30 times a minute when we’re walking on campus.”
“acquaintances aren’t friends!”
well, he’s right
hmm
well
but … he is tae’s friend
“so, your usual friend group?”
“yep.”
ughhh you want to ask him directly
“i’d be the only woman there?”
he shrugs his shoulders. “does that bother you? if it does, you can ask one of your own friends to tag along. like eunbi.”
record scratch
should you ask eunbi?
the chance of that man [horror music] coming with you is low, he’s a homebody
and you don’t wanna ask tae if he’s coming because that would be weird
he’d ask you why you’re interested in that FUCKBOY joining you or not
it’s best not to ask eunbi at all
just to avoid drama
right?
“when do y’all wanna go?”
he looks like he’s contemplating something for a moment before responding with, “next week friday right after class since everyone only has morning classes.”
okay makes sense
“okay and how do y’all wanna go?”
all the others have graduated but most of you don’t have vehicles
“by train. seokjin is the only one that’ll go by car because he actually has one. and then we’ll have a car there for if we need to buy something or for emergencies.”
oh
they’ve thought this through
hm
“i hate bugs, though.”
he chuckles, “i will protect you.”
“make that yoongi and we have a deal.”
he laughs loudly, “okay then, yoongi will protect you.”
“will i be sharing my tent with him?” you quip while batting your eyelashes at him innocently
“calm it down, you minx.”
you both laugh for a few more moments, talking more about the place and camping itself
“so, you in?” tae asks with all the stars present in his eyes
how can you say no to that?
hmmm
you could use some time to relax
“alright, sure.”
and that’s how you find yourself fidgeting with the handle of your suitcase that next friday
standing in front of the train
taehyung, yoongi, jimin and hoseok are loading their suitcases onto the train
2 female friends of hoseok and taehyung have joined, by the names of hyunjoo and isabella
seeing another foreigner like isabella here already made it easy to get along with her
hyunjoo is also really sweet but she’s rather quiet
joon joined seokjin in the car so he didn’t have to drive that long on his own
you’ve got the biggest suitcase of everyone so you’re being helped last
jerks.
the guys are busy with hyunjoo and isabella’s baggage now
you rub your face, collecting some of the sweat that had started forming on your skin
you didn’t think it was going to be this hot tbh?
hoseok said something about there being like a bathhouse 20 mins away from where you will be camping so
sweat shouldn’t be that big of a problem, you’ll just make sure to visit that bathhouse daily
you also brought like extra sleeping bags because you wanna bury yourself basically
you know you’ll be freezing at night like always
what else did you pack?
just as you mindlessly reach for your suitcase again, you’re met with air
your hand continues to grab at air
until you realize
your suitcase is gone
wait
YOUR SUITCASE IS GONE
WHAT THE HELL
you turn around and see someone with your suitcase in hand
but
tae,, yoongi, jimin and hoseok are … all the way over there?
oh
ah
right
okay
your penny has just dropped and so did your heart. STRAIGHT into your ass.
why
is
he
here
???
://
you reach for the handle of your suitcase to snatch it out of his grasp
but he doesn’t let you as he pulls it out of your reach
“just let me help you.” jungkook’s voice reaches your ears but he doesn’t even look at you as he continues to carry your suitcase and loading it into the train
he sounds
different
that usual confidence and arrogance he carries himself with is gone
it’s kinda like the same jungkook you’ve always known and not the jungkook you’ve had the displeasure of interacting with these past few weeks
is this his way of being apologetic?
narcissism at it’s finest
everyone starts filing into the train but yoongi is waiting by the door
you walk up to him and he motions for you to get in first
you sigh quietly and smile at him as you walk onto the train
he follows right behind you and places his hand on your back as you walk further into the train
you see jungkook all the way at the front, all the way at the left against the window, wearing his headset but the only two seats that are free are the ones .. right … in front of him
you’ve pretended jk isn’t here pretty well until you make it all the way to your seat and make eye contact with him
he glances at you, teeth sunk into his bottom lip
just as he parts his lips to say something to you
you take your seat right in front of him and yoongi sits down right next to you, directly facing jungkook
ur right across from him
like… your feet and knees are almost touching each other
the look on jungkook’s face had softened for that split second with an apologetic glint in his eyes
but ur not gonna let him mess with your head, not on this 3 hour trip
yoongi leans over to you and whispers these next few words into your ears, “i haven’t seen you since that club, how you been?”
your shoulder gently jerks at his breath hitting your neck and yoongi chuckles at that
you can’t help it
you try not to you really try not to
you glance at jungkook and he’s staring straight at you
the way he’s staring straight at you, teeth anxiously nibbling and picking at his lip rings, showers your entire body in lava
you quickly avert your gaze and you turn your head to say, “i just felt sick. must’ve been the alcohol,” to yoongi
he nods and pulls out his phone. he connects his earbuds to it and offers you one of the earbuds
omg
wait why is this so cute
you feel like ur back in high school
a small smile creeps on your lips as you accept it and put it into your own ear
you notice jungkook’s leg bouncing up and down in anxiety
you drop your head onto yoongi’s shoulder and throw your leg over the other before closing your eyes
just act like he’s not right in front of you
you’re just here with friends
and your head is on yoongi’s shoulder
plus he’s sharing his music with you!!!
that’s a big thing!!!!!!!!
and you allow yourself to zone out <3
you stir and realize you’re being woken up by a soft hand shaking your knee
you hear your name quietly being called
you open your eyes and see big black eyes staring down at you
“we’re here.” jungkook’s soft voice reaches you like liquid gold being ladled into your ears by angels
you blink a couple times and realize you’re still wearing yoongi’s earbud
you look to your side and notice yoongi is gone
“he went to the restroom,” jungkook replies quietly
you don’t respond as you collect yourself and slowly gather your stuff
jungkook quietly does the same but is constantly glancing at you
when you move to step out of the seating area, he gently taps your shoulder
you look over your shoulder at him, still not a single word on your lips for him
“can we talk?” he asks quietly, dropping his hand after catching your attention
uh uhh.. ur not gonna let him ruin your trip
you are NOT
you cried for 2 days in your fucking bed over a geeky junior. ur never allowing that again
“what is there left to talk about?” the words leave you in a harsh tone and if anyone was around that didn’t know the situation, they’d paint you out as the villain
but they don’t get it
they don’t know what it was like when he tore you down
“i think we should talk about the misunderstand–”
“misunderstanding?” you echo in disbelief before letting out a humorless chuckle.
you continue, “there is no misunderstanding, jungkook. i think i made myself pretty fucking clear that night. and so did you.”
he doesn’t give up, though. “please?”
you sigh quietly and glance up at him, all the painful words he said to you still clouding your mind
attention-seeking
tryhard
no one likes that about you
does he even deserve to talk it out?
to be continued
