my aplatonicism is connected to my narcissism. i don’t care about other people, i don’t care to create connections with them, im not really drawn to other people: mostly because of my narcissism. and i’m still aplatonic, even if those things are connected. because i don’t experience platonic attraction. it doesn’t make my aplatonicism any less valid.

you ever wonder if your gender expression is best described as an alien cyborg type being because you grew up watching so much star trek and because any human descriptor is simply too binary or too "gendered" and something that doesn't actually exist but summons a very specific mental image is the only way to capture how you see yourself

or of it's because you're the entire aspec and neurodiverse and thus the complete opposites of everything society deems as "humanity" and lacking the desire or capacity to partake in what is considered "the human experiences" so you have to be some kind of alien robot because you are so utterly inhuman according to society

something i find strange about the less common identities is that yall talk about not having any representation, when it's like. its you dawg. you're the representation. go represent your identity, dont wait for poll blogs to post ur poll when you can make ur own. like idk. im aroace, but im not aplatonic, and ive been seeing some aplatonic aros claim to feel like- unwelcome, I guess? or like they dont fit in. c'mon man, being aro and/or ace is already such a small part of the queer population, aplatonic is even less common!! Spending a lot of time in trouble as a kid because you’d tell people you didn’t want to be their friend, and apparently that isn’t very nice, even though you didn’t mean it to be mean, it’s just how you felt

Being sent to counselors because you were always alone and said you didn’t want any friends/you didn’t need friends/you didn’t like people/there were more important things

Kids thinking you were stuck up and mean because you weren’t friendly

Never making a friend on your own, and just being taken in by people who decided they wanted to be your friend/meeting people through your friends (the ones you befriended because they decided you were friends now, not because you had a desire to befriend them)

Never meeting a person and wanting to be friends with them

Being alone and being okay with that because you don’t feel the need to have friends

Having friends that you enjoy being around, but not missing them much when you’re away

when someone says they love you in a romantic way, does it prick your skin in thousands of needle pokes like the world is an iron maiden? especially when they're supposed to be a friend and you find out they have less than platonic intentions towards you, even if they don't intend to act on their feelings, it suddenly feels unsafe? I've seen the post that describes it as a betrayal to be loved that way when you thought someone was safe, and i agree.

like does it physically hurt you? does it scream danger and betrayal and make you afraid? as bad as it sounds I feel... disgusted. the fact that someone could think of me that way. it's not flattering or good, it hurts.

I get a physical reaction in my body, it's the worst kind of phantom burn I've ever felt. anyone else?
