What counts as Aphrodite(1388) beauty indicators:

Aphrodite in 1st house (YOU are appealing, this asteroid is simply who you are as this house represents you as a whole, physically and personal identity)

Aphrodite in 10th house (this is how you publicly appear to others at large, so if you have an asteroid here it kind of shows those themes come to mind in general when people think of you and what your reputation is associated with, imagine yourself as a concept, you perceived as a brand)

Honestly when I think of Aphrodite I think of someone who is overly sexualised by men. Like they collectively came together and said THIS is what we like. She is the image of sex and desire because they put her there. And she likes it, which is probably why she is labelled as the god of sex, pleasure, love and beauty, it’s because she accepts all kinds of admiration from anyone. No matter how degrading or intensely it manifests. Do you too also accept love no matter how sexually degrading or intense it is? Do you have a tendency to expect to be glorified?

Thus, our modern interpretation of Aphrodite has been filtered through the ideals of female beauty from not only Greece and Rome, but long after as well. Medieval artists gave her a high forehead and Renaissance painters showed her with flowing blonde hair because those were the ideals of their times. The written descriptions of Aphrodite were open-ended enough to allow artists to show her in a way they thought was beautiful for centuries. While later artists were influenced by the paintings and sculptures of Rome and Greece, they had the license to show the goddess of beauty in a way that made sense within their own cultures.

Most often, Aphrodite’s clothing and jewelry were described in greater detail than her body or facial features. The richness of her garments and adornments both enhanced her features and signalled her nobility.

The lack of written detail meant that artists were able to portray Aphrodite in a way they felt was beautiful. While these typically followed certain conventions, these conventions could vary between regions and time periods. Aphrodite/Venus was therefore shown with certain marks of beauty that had persisted from the ancient world, but also with the features and clothing considered ideal in the artists’ own times. She could be recognized not by a specific feature, but by her desirabilithy.

What would you say is the biggest indicator of pretty privilige in a chart?

Definitely Venus aspecting Pluto/8th house since Pluto is power and Venus is beauty, and beauty privilege is a form of power. But I would also say Venus 10th house since the 10th house shows how we will be treated by society and what kind of ”social status” we will have. Also asteroid Aphrodite(1388) prominent since shes the goddess of beauty and she demanded idolatry.❤️‍🔥

Hello, what are your thoughts on a girl with Aphrodite Conjunct Ascendant?

Hi! I have quite a few thoughts, actually, because of who I am as a person as well as the type of astrology I practice. I've bolded my main interpretation of this placement below in pink, but I'm writing a second post contextualizing my process of interpretation so you know how and why I came to these conclusions.

Aphrodite [1388] Conjunct Ascendant

Aphrodite conjunct the Ascendant suggests a blessing from Aphrodite upon the native from the moment of birth. The native will unconsciously alter their behavior to best elicit admiration and any other form of love from whoever is in the immediate vicinity. They will move with natural sensuality. They constantly invite love into their lives, and - so long as the Ascendant doesn't form malefic aspects to other major objects - are constantly practicing self love.

This placement makes them beloved for who they are as the individual - but it does not indicate a selfless lover, either being or having one, not without effort on the part of the native. You are capable of giving yourself a fulfilling level of love without the help from others - and it may confuse you when your partner asks for more expression of love from you to them, when they aren't capable of finding fulfillment in themself. Once you decide to consciously express your love directly to them, however, you make one of the most generous and most gratifying lovers.

On the other hand, with malefic aspects, this makes an individual who is fond of playing with their partner, withholding from them, inciting their jealousy or even engaging with multiple partners at once. There may be the persistent feeling that your partner never gives you the attention and appreciation you deserve, and so you feel justified in testing their patience or teasing them. You may also be simultaneously attracted to and repulsed by your open enemies and business partners.

Regardless of other aspects and malefic-benefic qualities, the ideas of love, beauty, sex, and desire will undoubtedly define the native's sense of self, even when they aren't aware of it. Not just their choices, but their basic mannerisms are reflective of what they believe others find attractive. They instinctively seek the attention of the public. This is a placement that makes you think of that one Tumblr post that's like "I have to be the hottest person at the grocery store". That's you. (It's also most Aphrodite conjunctions, tbh - like, I get it, lol.)

This conjunction differs from conjunctions to planets or asteroids because it does not necessarily inform the astrologer of the life, environment, history, or relationships of the native, because the Ascendant is the intrinsic individual at its core, without influence and without interference. Who you are at your most raw, at your most animal. Context - planets, house system - only shapes and molds the material that the Ascendant provides. Even the sun and moon are not as purely 'you' as the Ascendant.

So while, for example, I can explain why a Saturn-Aphrodite conjunction native does this or that, or feels this way or that way, the same is not true for an Ascendant-Aphrodite conjunction, because there is no real REASON. Aphrodite simply has touched you at your most essential. It is not that you are Aphrodite - nobody is the gods - but what you are has been, in some way, MOLDED by her, FABRICATED by her.

For the extent of this blessing, you can check your divisional and/or harmonic charts. I suggest looking at her related asteroids as well. (Coincidentally, I actually have a quick-list post for Aphrodite's related asteroids already drafted.)

Vedic astrologers may check their 9th, 20th, 27th, 45th, and 60th divisional charts, as well as any chart which emphasizes the D1 Nakshatra ruler. Hellenic astrologers should check their 7th, 9th, and 32nd harmonics.

Blessings from the gods are often double-edged. Think of Hector, Andromache, Paris, and, most famously, Helen of Troy. All of them were blessed by Aphrodite, but none of their endings were happy, regardless of how romantic their collective and individual stories.

Penthesileia's blessing was another one bestowed from birth, but it's real value to her is debatable - after all, it most impacted her in her death, as it was Aphrodite who cursed Achilles, who killed the Amazon in battle, to love her post-mortem. Perhaps a fitting revenge, but not a blessing Penthesileia benefitted from.

Honor Aphrodite, and do not take her for granted, but do not necessarily surrender everything in faith to her. She is the goddess of love, but she loves many and even those blessed by her, or any god, are not entitled to be saved by them.

These people might tend to have a very seductive stare or just a very intimating stare sometimes. These people tend to appear naturally sexy or seductive. Most of the time their seduction lies all in their eyes.

TAURUS BELLA 1H

Having Bella in the 1H can make someone very beautiful. Bella being in a Venus sign can further emphasize that people with this placement are seen as natural beauties

ADONIS CONJ. SATURN GEMINI 3H

Adonis being conj. his Saturn can show that as he matures and grows older he’s only gonna get more attractive. Silver fox type of thing. And it being in Gemini might also mean that he’ll be the type of man who seemingly doesn’t age. Blackpink's Jennie's Astrological Placement Prediction

Disclaimer: I'm not a professional astrologer. I just love learning astrology. I'm still an astrology beginner.

I have been contemplating Jennie's birth chart and saw a few posts guessing Jennie's ascendant. After reading one Tumblr post about her rising sign, which they think is Cancer and make Lilith Conjunction her Ascendant (I'm sorry to forget their Tumblr name), I'm sold. My first instinct would definitely be a Cancer Rising for Jennie. She has soft and round features, including her notorious chubby cheeks.

Jennie definitely embodies this aspect. She doesn't look like the typical sweet and gentle Cancer Rising. She gives off bad bitch energy. She comes off sexy and fearless because of this aspect.

Aphrodite Conjunction North Node

This is the most fascinating aspect I found in her chart. Although she doesn't match the Korean beauty standard, her beauty is sought after in Korea. With Aphrodite Conjunction North Node, she's meant to become the new Korean beauty standard.

Moon and Pluto in 5th house

Jennie gives off a royal, luxurious, IT rich girl or main character vibe, which makes me think she may have had Leo influence somewhere. If she was a Cancer Rising, she may have Moon and Pluto in the 5th house, which is ruled by Sun. These placements would make her extremely creative and expressive. Hey, Do you think Libra Aphrodite Conjunct Ascendant a good aspect for a woman?

i couldn’t tell you for sure because most everything is subjective. it depends on what you classify as good versus bad. i believe that positive/less stressful aspects are trines, sextiles, semi-sextiles, quintiles, and bi-quintiles while negative/stressful aspects are squares, semi-squares, and oppositions. the wild cards, the morally grey, or unknowns in a chart are conjunctions, sesquisquares, and quincunxes.

it’s difficult to grade good, bad, or neutral knowing just that libra is conjunct asc. questions that i am left to wonder are: what are the degrees of each? what is the orb of this aspect? is the aphrodite in your 12h or 1h? what other aspects are involved to your asc or aphrodite? are you venus dominant or have a venus dominant signature sign? are there other planets in you 1h? ETC ETC (i can always drag on because every chart is different with so many details).

i don’t what to cheat you or others by saying libra aphrodite conjunct asc is spectacular because i dont know the full story of your chart. at the same time, it is up for you to take what resonates and leave what doesn’t. i would just like you to keep all this in mind when i give you some ideas as you what i think of when looking at libra aphrodite conjunct asc in a chart. please check out my signs, degrees, houses, and aspects of aphrodite post to get more on the asteroid.

topically and intuitively when i think of libra aphrodite conjunct asc: i think of romantic aspects of a face porcelain skin, long lashes, a cute nose, cupid’s bow upper lip. aphrodite conjunct asc people could experience a lot of attention both good and bad - it could be like the birth of venus painting or trapped in a net with ares in hephaestus’s being shamed by the gods. i think of clean cut people who look well put together. you may despise when you aren’t the center of attention as well…

BUT all this depends on other aspects, orbs, and all that other stuff i presented above. again the aphrodite signs, degrees, houses, and aspects post has more about libra aphrodite and aphrodite aspects to ascendent so definitely check it out!!

At first glance you probably wouldn't have guessed for Alexa to be a Leo rising. She may not have the stereotypical lions mane of Leo resigns but she does carry other physical traits of a Leo rising. For one she has the feline look to her, with her pouty lips, her almond shaped eyes and her cheekbones give her a cat like facial structure.
