Hello sugio-hate anon here just wanted to clarify that I meant fujobait as in the actual anime team seems to push it as a selling point, otherwise what people do on the internet involving fictional characters is not anyone's concern really... Everybody can agree that there are much bigger issues in the world than peoples interpertation of fictional men (if you can even call it an issue in that aspect). I don't engage in arguments over it or anything bc thats just lame lol. But yeah I just wanted to share my own thoughts regarding those pairings and their popularity rather then sending hate to those who enjoy it. Do whatever you want with fiction✌️ The actual anime butchered more than any fan of the series ever could anyway so it doen't even matter.

stop when i see die girlies gushing about this or that magazine illustration i'm like line hook and sinker huh... it's like you got... no i shan't say it. but good for them, good for them. i'll always be envious of people who are pandered to by commercial projects because like wow you create demand... and you come in such large numbers that it's actually met, and you get what you want. must be nice.

but i get wanting to complain about them too because if you're not one of them it really is super hard to be around them and to be in fandom spaces because it's usually a choice between two evils (twitter/tumblr with the fujos or reddit/4chan with the dudebros). though in 2020-2022 i was in a big gk server and i find that it somehow struck the middle ground, when there's a lot of people from different corners of the internet it's easier to keep things neutral/civil and to regulate the annoying stuff, when someone would come up and start talking about their yaois they'd get shunned (kind of), when someone came up and started talking about how sugimoto should totes wife asirpa up when she grows up they'd also get shunned. we just talked about the manga. it was a nice and chill and fun place while it lasted. at least for me, because i used it as an outlet to dump all if my incoherent thoughts on whatever unlucky bastard was there to listen.

tbh i'm fine with the first 3 seasons, geno is piss poor and inexperienced but there was love there, you know? even if it was awkward at times. but s4 was a disaster, or at least the 5 or 6 episodes that aired. i decided to drop the anime right before they announced its hiatus lmao the timing couldn't have been better. not sure if i'll pick it up again after it comes back 🫡
