Got my dad to watch mcc (scar pov) with me, here are some highlights of the occasion
he's colorblind and struggled telling teams apart, but appreciated color indicators on some blocks in games
did not understand survival games until he saw the border and then went "oh it's like fortnite!!"
asked questions about every ten seconds which was actually quite lovely, but included:
asking me how mcc teams are decided
asking me who scott smajor was no less than five times
asking me to explain the concept of hermitcraft.
did not care about the game chat until he realized that's where i was getting stats from and then started leaning as far forward as possible to read it
i don't think he ever really grasped the concept of rocket spleef. he had fun watching though
thought antfrost's skin was a bird
asked me if ace race was only for ace people (definitely trying to connect with me after i recently came out as ace. much appreciated, very sweet)
complained if people punched scar off during tgttos
asked if scar would be interested in coming to our family server to build
desperately wants minecraft slushies. i wouldn't be surprised if i joined the family server tomorrow to find he'd added a texture pack for them
i think his favorite game was meltdown, he got very excited about scar's killer aim
he says that most of the streamers he watches are british and hearing american accents on twitch was weird. ok
got happy every time scar wasn't last in team rankings for a game
guys he got so into dodgebolt. he was jumping up with every hit. he was very disappointed when i accidentally changed the channel during the second round and wouldn't let me touch the remote again. he actually cheered at the final shot
he didn't know anyone playing but he still really enjoyed it. he wants to watch again next time :)
cpk saying "fruit will probably take the lead in this one" while talking about yellow. sir he has never taken the leader role EVER when asked to lead he will beg not his ass is NOT LEADING 🗣️🗣️ unless its sg.
do you know why this was ranboo's last mcc? i feel like i missed something important
thanks
what they’ve specifically said is that they’re ready to move on, he’s won mcc and really doesn’t have any reason to continue being in them and wants to focus on his own projects, he’s also said that they’re burnt out on minecraft due to playing it so much and really have only played it for mcc
seeing everyone say “that’s our sheriff!!!!!” about jimmy’s 3v1 dodgebolt win fills me with so much love for this community. idk it’s just so cool. don’t have words for the feelign it’s just. that’s our sheriff!! ^_^
As is likely evident, this is a far from complete list of MCC contestants, but I attempted to get a good variety while still keeping the puzzle a semi-reasonable size (players were selected based on how easily I was able to come up with a clue for them lol)
There is a fair bit of variety when it comes to which names are used in the crossword, but there are no numbers or symbols and the puzzle is composed entirely of participants’ names
While obviously I cannot mandate this, I would encourage you guys to try to attempt this without outside research and I would love to see people working together on this
There are quite possibly some typos and/or errors (ex: I forgot to delete the backup clue for #25 so you guys get an extra lol), hopefully nothing that affects the outcome, but please point out if you find anything that looks wrong
I will reblog the first person/people I see get it correct, please reblog or tag me so I can see :)
Edit: shoutout to @decisiondomes for letting me know about an error in the wiki that made it into the crossword. The answer to 5 down is Gumi (vgumiho) when in actuality, Sylvee subbed in in MCCs 2 and 3
Just watched Jimmy’s newest episode and first of all go watch it it’s great and second of all I’M SCARED.
Everyone’s saying “oh it’s villain arc time! Time to watch the small man have his vengeance and eat it too!” (what am I even saying) And while it will most likely happen, which I’ll enjoy thoroughly, I hesitate to call it right now. For I have flashbacks…
For a time not long before, where we all desired a “villain arc” for a character who, like Jimmy, was never treated with respect. So when given the option, we proudly begged to put this character where he had no other choice but to go against his values and put himself first for once…
A seemingly perfect recipe for some well deserved chaos…
So, what I remember was that the hermits all go to an MCC event that's just to celebrate everyone.
But the event gets infiltrated by hybrid traffickers, who use high-pitched noises on a speaker or something to hurt the hybrids, and they set the game mode to hardcore
Grian gets revealed as a watcher, and Ren gets neck sliced (I think), but doesn't die because the spirit of the Red King keeps him alive and is basically a whole other entity. Also, Martyn is wearing a maid dress through the entire thing
But then Grian manages to get kidnapped, and basically all of mcyt team up to try and save him
Hot take: How chill an MCC streamer is about possibly having to replay a game due to technical issues is a pretty accurate indicator of how fun they'll be to watch overall
Wanting to collect my thoughts on MCC29 as a women’s history month event
• Dodgebolt coming down to False vs Gee is a big one, so cool to see how everyone — regardless of which team they were rooting for — cheered them both on
• Jojo coming first again is massive, as she’s the only woman to ever do so (the first time was MCC25)
• also screw you, nonbinary people count, Ranboo making top 5 makes the list!! Especially considering the only other time we’ve had two non-men in the top 5 was Hannah (2nd) and Ranboo (4th) in MCC27
• This event had had 15 non-men contestants, making it joint 3nd for the highest of any canon MCC to date!! (MCC27 had eighteen, MCC10 had seventeen, and MCCs 3, 23, and 28 had fifteen)
• There was also only one team (Orange Ocelots) that was exclusively men, which has only occured a couple times!!! (MCC10 had at least one non-man on every team, but two of them were viewer teams; MCCs 3, 19, and 23 also had 9/10 teams with at least one non-man on them)
