#anti edward/bella
Note
Youve written the " edward will cheat on Bella" meta, so according to your answer re: does edward believe in soulmates? You said, " This is why he believes Bella is his one true love and the only one he's capable of loving and ever will in his existence. " So, if Meta Edward fell in love with another human, (I know it won`t happen in canon), but how would this change Edward? Falling in love with someone else?
Edward will cheat on Bella.
Edward believes in soulmates.
Shockingly, these are not mutually exclusive.
Edward believes in soulmates which means that if he finds himself no longer interested in Bella: something has gone wrong. She was supposed to be a comet in his life, blinding him to everything else. He could not live without her brief, ephemeral, existence because he would be blind in a world of darkness. There is no Edward without Bella. At least, that's how it should be, how he wants it to be.
However, what he gets at Breaking Dawn is not what he wants, and he'll find himself having to readjust the narrative as well as what's happened to make sense of this change. Clearly, Bella's the one who has changed, not him, she lost something upon becoming a vampire, and he will justify whatever he does from that point forward in one way or another. Perhaps new person is his soulmate and Bella never was! And he's never known what love was until now.
Or perhaps he's not in love, because he was in love with Bella, and he's not cheating, he's not even fascinated, he just needs to talk to this woman and obsess over how wonderful she is. Or else there's a new romantic narrative he can spin to fit the situation, one that may or may not absolve him of responsibility, but helps shape him into a person he wants to be, in a story that's exciting, while taking these actions.
Edward is a master of double think craft even in Midnight Sun and even more than that of thinking of himself and his life as part of a romantic tragic narrative.
So, would he change after falling in love with another/believing himself in love with another/finding himself attracted to another? Yes and no. This is an Edward post series, who got his happy ending, and yet things are still falling apart and that will change him fundamentally. Bella was supposed to be the answer and if he finds that answer's not satisfying, that's going to leave a mark. That he finds himself interested in someone else is even worse as it was supposed to only ever be Bella.
He will have to find a way to make sense of all of this to himself that will mean changing from who he once was and thought he was.
However, I don't think he'd be in love with this new person either. It's not that Edward's incapable of love, just that he's not in a good headspace to do so, and that what immediately grabs his attention is not something he necessarily 'loves' but more what he thinks he does and what he thinks he wants.

we know that if Bella was a vampire, there’s no way Edward would’ve gone for her. if she was a hybrid, do you think Edward would’ve been tempted or no?
Bella as a hybrid post. She wouldn't be in Forks meeting Edward.
If she did somehow meet Edward, the perfect storm that happened in canon wouldn't be replicated.
Per canon, Edward took no notice of Bella's appearance, thinking her plain (no other guy seems to agree on this, by all accounts Bella is an attractive woman, girl next door, just not super hot like Rosalie), and the personality he found so ensnaring was one Bella's gift made possible for him to project onto her, and the blood is what made him obsessed. Post.
More importantly, the humanity that Edward finds so precious in Bella is just that, humanity. It's the fragility of someone who is one tap of Edward's finger against her skull away from death at any given moment, the potential she has for an idealized future he can imagine for her, and the thing he used to be before becoming a vampire.
Hybrid Bella is a very beautiful woman, and she would have warmth and a heartbeat, but that warmth would be too warm for a human and the heartbeat inhumanly fast. There would be no mistaking her for a human girl, superpowered and in no way frail, she would be immortal and without future the same as the Cullens, and she would smell too inhuman for her blood to be appealing to Edward.
Perhaps he would like her, and I'm sure he'd appreciate her appearance as she looks much softer and human than any of vampire ever will while being just as beautiful, but I don't see him taking any interest in her. If she were to start fancying him, he'd withdraw the same as he does with Tanya.
... As it is, I imagine her gift would have him frustrated with her, because he relies on that gift far more than he'll admit.

EVERYTHING we love about bella is stripped away by Edward and vampirism. Her clumsiness, her blush, her brown eyes. The way she loves the sun and Arizona. She loved to cook and now she will never eat again. She hated the cold and now she is cold stone. Edward discards her truck and replaces it with a brand new Mercedes’ she didn’t even like. Which always felt like symbolism to me. Some may see it as an upgrade, as a nice gift… but Bella never wanted it. Think of how EXCITED she was to get that truck and how uncomfortable she was then with the Mercedes. If Bella wanted an upgrade, SHE SHOULDVE PICKED THE CAR. But no.. Edward literally just DISCARDED IT. Bella never liked flashy things or parties but now she’s subjected to that forever.
I think it’s fucking insane that people will say theyre Team Edward cause they’re not “anti-choice.” What did y’all read bc….. what. Just because Bella chooses to be a vampire? To die? She was OBSESSED with the easy way out. She was obsessed with Edward cause they were trauma bonded and she had such horrific self esteem. Just cause Bella chose to be a vampire doesn’t make it a good thing. It is a tragedy and always will be to me. Unless you never gave a fuck about her as a human I suppose. 😗✌️ Bella is an unreliable narrator and was under vampire thrall. Bella was severely traumatized by Edward and felt worthless as a human. Bella had a chance to grow with Jacob and she WOULD HAVE. But she would have PTSD that she could work through. You may be like “she would’ve never gotten over edward.” Yeah she would’ve and she would’ve realized that him haunting her was all Stockholm syndrome.
I’m not “anti choice” for acknowledging Bella’s choice was the wrong one. ExB’s relationship ruined lives, killed people, put the wolfpack through literal HELL and eventually enslaved the wolfpack to them. All for “love” LMAO! It wasn’t love, it was obsession, bloodlust, trauma bonding, low self worth, co dependency.
Anyway. I started a Breaking Dawn rewrite fic where Bella realizes all this shit and heals.

From a character perspective I can't fathom WHAT Rhysand's motivation/endgame was. Feyre was going to die. THE BABY WAS GOING TO DIE. Feyre's pregnancy was doomed from the begging because of the wings, and apsolutely nothing could be done. Rhysand himself was going to die. What reason did he have to hide it from his mate. To avoid making her sad? So having her bleed out confused is somehow better. He's immortal and has not had a wife or children for centuries despite being High Lord, surely he could wait a few more. The need for an heir was not urgent. Like what was the POINT does SJM not have an editor or anyone with reasonable thinking ability to advise her against this entire plot

Rosalie says she never loved Edward as anything more than a brother, but is mad when he shows no romantic interest in her.
She gets jealous when he shows an interest in Bella even though at this point she's been with Emmett for about 70 years.
She hates being a vampire, would rather have died, yet she asks Carlisle to turn a dying Emmett for her.
When asked by Edward what she would do if she were in Bella's position and Emmett in his, Rosalie can't give a clear answer. Some part of Rosalie would give up Emmett for a human life.
Rose has very little regard for human life. She only cares about the romanticized human life she lost.
She's about respecting choices, but only if it's a choice she agrees with. Rosalie supports Bella's choice to go through with the pregnancy, but only because it's something she would have personally done. Up until then, Rose has shown very little respect or care for Bella's choices. She tries to dissuade Bella, but never tries to understand Bella's POV.
I love Rosalie, but Smeyer made her so selfish and contradictory that loving her is really hard sometimes.

idk.. the way edward talks to bella is so degrading. he really treated her like she was incapable of making responsible decisions (shes not, as later revealed to us but he didnt know that) I don’t see how anyone could like Edward. If a man treated me like that i would avoid him like the plague. If i saw him in my fucking bedroom?? I’d file a fucking restraining order. What the hell makes you think i’d let this disrespectful ass bitch watch me sleep? EVEN IF HE WASNT MEAN TO ME, SOMEONE, A STRANGER, COMING INTO MY BEDROOM TO WATCH ME SLEEP IS ALWAYS MEGA CREEPY.

You know what else is so funny about the stansas is how they use the 'radiant' argument as proof that Jon liked Sansa when it's the lamest description compared to how Jon describes Ygritte or Val lmao
And even then Catelyn uses "radiant" to describe Lysa on her wedding day, so in-universe it doesn't have any romantic implication like they love to pretend it does. That's why there are posts of them pulling up "evidence" from Twilight, an entirely different book with a different author, to prove their point. Jon barely even thinks about her and they know that, which is why they have to steal quotes about him thinking of Arya/Ygritte/Val and pretend they're about her lol

Friendly reminder alice isn’t as good as y’all make her out to be she willingly sought out a man who she knew was a former confederate and romantazied him. She was born in 1901 she’s mostly likely racist too. She’s been racist to Jacob.

I know that this couldn't had happened in canon, but:
What if Tanya and Edward had sex before Edwaed meet Bella? (Meaby it was a one night stand and Edward was curious how sex feels like. Long story short they had sex! )
How would Bella feel when she finds out? Would Edward even want Tanya at his wedding with Bella?
It would be Edward's greatest shame.
He would view it as a moment of weakness/impulse/inferiority where he felt the need to know what it is to be a man, even if he wasn't in love with Tanya or married to her, and now he went and lost his virginity in an experience that ultimately meant nothing to either of them.
Edward would be very haunted by this having happened.
And he would be terrified of Bella ever finding out.
It'd be one thing for him to have a prior love (also bad) but the fact that he didn't love Tanya and just... did it anyways is not something he'd want Bella knowing and he'd be terrified that she'd lose interest or think less of him because of it.
As it is, Bella wouldn't be surprised/think less of him, but she'd be terrified of what it means for her. She's not Edward's first, she never will be, he had sex with a very experienced, beautiful, woman who adores him and if Tanya wasn't good enough how could Bella possibly be?
They would both live in terror of this fact and Bella would be terrified on her wedding night and afterwards of "... was it not as good?" which is hard for Edward to say "yes" when the first time he severely bruised her (which is kind of what happened in canon except not as bad).

If Bella went off the vegetarian diet and told Edward to do the same, would he?
No he would not.
Kindness and self-sacrifice is chief among the he traits he likes in Bella, for her to say "Nevermind: I will kill people by the hundreds for my own pleasure" to all of that would break the relationship and send him plummeting into a crisis of how he must somehow be the cause of this total loss of goodness in her.

“At LeAsT EdWaRd UnDeRStAnDs CoNsEnT”
You know you guys are talking about a guy who literally planned on murdering her, stalked her before they knew each other, snuck into her bedroom to watch her sleep, stalked her out of town, snooped through her things, made her do things she doesn’t want to do (prom, parties, wedding) disabled her truck, BROKE her truck to get rid of it even tho she loves it, told her she couldn’t see her best friend/true love bc he’s dangerous even tho his entire purpose is to protect humans from vampires and even tho his brother tried to kill her and every single near death experience she’s had is bc of vampires and him. 💀

There’s something I've been meaning to say but I haven't had the words till now. There is something that deeply upsets me about witnessing stories where villains, who are literal killers, fall in love and somehow become good or act outside of what is expected from them. I love love, love is beautfiul, it is powerful and it can truly change a lot. But to sit, and write a killer suddenly go "actually, this one can stay because I am in love for the first time" is such a weird concept to me. Is this happening because as a sociaty we're trying to convince ourselves that deeply disturbed people can be cured by the power of love? That if they just find the right person, they would stop the masacer? or at least no longer feel the need to kill how they were or at least let their person live? And I am not mad at the love, I do belive anyone can fall deeply in love, but my issue is with how it ends. I want to witness the unthinkable — I want to see is exactly what we expect but hoped won't happen, happening. A gut wrenching truth that stays true to who we have been witnessing, despite the "I can change them" dance. And perhaps people hate this idea because they want to belive that anyone can change if only they meet the right one, or that we can change the monsters in our lives with affection, but trust most likly is that they cannot be changed. And I can understand that to some this is then seen as an illusion. "oh then this was never true love", why can the two not exist? Do we not hurt those we love? Maybe not kill them, but someone elses hurt could feel like a small death to me, and vice versa.
Examples, so that you are not confused as to what I am reffering too;
Killing Eve; I stopped watching when Villanelle was shown shooting Eve. It felt true to her character, even if it hurt. She is a killer, we knew that and so did Eve. Regardless of her love, that was what was always going to happen so why were we given additional seaons of this fanatsy of a declawed Villanelle?
Hannibal; It should have ended with the death of Will, and possibly Hannibal consuming him. Didn't Hannibal say that the consumption of Will would somehow join them in a deeper way?Something so disturbing that only could make sense to a serial killing-cannibal. And I would have watched with wide eyes, and gone to sleep staring at the ceiling.
Interveiw With The Vampire; Louis' death in the hand of a Lestat would have made sense, and despite his dramatics, Lestat would have not committed suicide but instead burried himself in deep regret untill he was too numb to his own feelings that he could return to the world of the living. He would have never forgotten Louis, nor what he did, but he would have moved on beause Lestat is not a good person. He's deeply disturbed and Louis knew this. I don't even aknoclege that beatdown episode because Lestat may be a killer, but he's a drama queen first and formost. Louis' death would have been poetic, beautiful and grusom like a greek tragedy without an audiance.
Bonus - Twilight; I could not end without adding my own favorite, and despite this path never being teased to the audiance the same way the other's were, I would have loved the book simply ending because Edward did as he said he would - drained Bella like a Caprisun on a hot summer day. Because what is love agaisnt animalistic urgase (I understand why it is much hotter that he is simply so retsrained and devoted that he resists her, but I'd pay good money for an AU)
At the end of it all, I think want I want is for sociaty to get over the idea that a good woman, love or any form of kindness can change who some people are. Love can do many things - look at crimes of passion! And to some extend I belive that these villain's love were true, possibly not the way we imagine them - which is less so "I love you too" and more so, "wow, finally someone I can manipulate and obsess over. Someone who I can mold, someone who is alone in the world like me" only to realize that is not true.
So why do we make love into what it isnt? Even when the scene is set for us to be shown the truth, writers and the audiance always make the plot lean towards whatever fits so that we can have that "happy ending".
Honorable mentions;
God should have killed Lucifer, I know the bible and christianity is not technically fiction for all, but the idea that he is forgivin but lets the biggest meanness HE CREATED terrorize everybody is evil. Take him out or let somebody else do it homie.

theres a potential i’m sick again and i took some nyquil so you know that that means!!!!!!!
Jacob Black Posting
New Moon (movie) did not do New Moon (book) justice. We should have gotten more Jacob and Bella content, that’s what the whoooollleeee fucking book was. It was Jake reviving Bella after Edward ruined her. It was Jacob and Bella falling in love with each other. It was small moments between them, like the spaghetti dinner on Jake’s porch. It was a proper romance. Normal and healthy. Rather we got a montage and small moments but not the important or valuable moments. The movie focused on Edward despite him not being a main character in it.
Idk. I hate Edward to pieces.
Enjoy a picture of my foster kitten Jacob Black
