y’know not getting into the never ending poppy discourse so speaking plainly of antagonists in general: the fact that some most of you can only think in binaries and immediately jump to “oh this character is being included more into the story/being fleshed out outside their role as an antagonist = they’re obviously being redeemed” says a lot about the media you consume and the media we’ve been getting for the last decade… like really just because an antagonist gets a love interest and more to do in a plot doesn’t necessarily equate to them getting a redemption arc, just that they’re people
