I'm being brave and just tried a new moisturizing cream on my face.
I've done numerous patch tests to make sure I'm okay with it. Going into anaphylaxis that one time from sunscreen really left a mark on my psyche for trying new products (fellow MCAS folks should probably avoid Alba sunscreens). But there's still that lingering fear that once I put it on my entire face, I'll react to it.
I really hope not, because ten years of not being able to use a proper moisturizer during the Minnesota winters has destroyed my skin barrier.
There's only so much a thin scraping of olive oil can do against -40'c.

How to Write What You Want
Okay. So. This is pretty easy, and also really fun to do in my opinion!! You can do any of these first, and you don鈥檛 have to do all of them. When I鈥檓 sick of writing or stressing about it, I love to do some of these and just have fun with it :)))
Choose your theme.聽
Figure out what the theme for your story is going to be.聽
The theme is basically the lesson you鈥檙e trying to teach your audience without being preachy. The way we do is through characters. We watch characters go through some crap and learn a lesson, changing for better or worse. The lesson, the thing your characters learn or stand for, is your theme.
Figure out what you want to show the world.聽
Whether your characters have negative, positive, or flat arcs, there should be a lesson for the audience to see. The character doesn鈥檛 necessarily have to agree with that lesson, as shown by villain plots where characters choose the wrong path. Audiences can still see that they chose the wrong path, and the theme is still visible.聽
So just...what do you want to teach an audience?聽
Write whatever lesson you want.聽
Write it down.聽
Create your characters.聽
You can make lists of things you want in characters, different personality ideas, physical description rants, whatever you want.聽
Got an idea for a character?
Write it down.
Make a list of your favorite tropes and clich茅s.
Clich茅s are okay. You might disagree, but I believe that tropes are excellent. They exist for a reason. People love certain stories, and they want to read more just like them. If we didn鈥檛 do tropes, where would readers find those stories?
You can make a list of your favorite tropes, whether they be quests, found family, certain character dynamics, anything you love to read in all your favorite books to see in movies.聽
Make a list. I dare you. Pick a few.
Write a book.聽
Any location ideas.
If you have a location idea...write it down.聽
Abandoned castle? River? Big boat? Rowboat? A specific inn? A kingdom? Two kingdoms? More kingdoms?
Shrug. It鈥檚 your story.聽
Any random ideas.
Write. Down. Any. And. Every. Ideas. You. Have.聽
Literally anything you want. Any random ideas you have. Write them down. If you want trees, hunting, and early morning rays to happen, write it down. What what you want and whatever you like. Have fun with it.聽
Writing is supposed to be fun. So put all the stuff you love to see in stories and include them in your own to make one giant bundle of love.
If you want historical fantasy to be combined with certain modern elements, do it. If you want a village surrounded by lava, do it.聽

every time i try to put myself out there and be friendly and try to help it just ends up with me being laughed at. I have a really just horrible pit in my stomach. I understand I rambled a bit much but it really felt like I was essentially just laughed at and put on public display for trying to relate and be friendly. Especially when it's about something I do actually know about and experience. I just don't want to feel like a screw up each time I try to put myself out there.

Vargastober 28 - Nightmares
Vargastober 29 - Tacos
First one is a reference to chapter 32 ("I'm transferring, you're never going to see me again"), and second one is a reference to chapter 21! I'm going to have to side with Scriabin here - putting ketchup on a taco is downright unnatural.
Vargas belongs to @zarla-s, Vargastober belongs to @disposal-blueeee and @introtobaking!

I definitely think l've got some long covid effects because ever since having it, food just doesn't taste as good. it's been upsetting, as a very food motivated animal. my taste keeps betraying my appetite. especially with meat D :
