i know that i’ve always kind of developed a lot slower than my peers in terms of social intelligence and sort of general awareness of the world and personal development etc and that still applies even now but i cannot imagine having a child at my age, there is no shot in HELL i could care for a child or deal with everything that entails and it is really starting to throw me off how many people my age have kids at this point!! like i’m starting to think i might be even further behind in that mental development than i thought!!! heck

#i don't know if that makes sense #it's sort of conflicting almost because like #in some aspects i've always been more mature and shit #but in a way i feel the most i've always been behind #i guess it's the social aspect and practical aspect of life that really jumps out as me NOT being up to date #tbf i've also been dodgy on the intellectual front too as a kid #i was the fastest in class for basic facts (maths) i could do 100 questions in around a minute #pretty much all throughout primary school #and simultaneously didn't understand fractions until high school. and barely got through english.#something switched on in high school and i became academically smart but i didn't catch up on any other front lmao #anyway i saw that yet another person i knew from high school in my year has a kid #and i was like jfc that's. that's. like half of them now. what #i definitely don't feel bad for where I'M at. everyone takes things at their own pace. i've got no problem figuring out things slower #but i am suddenly like ok maybe i'm being . shockingly slow. actually
