I didn’t start identifying as queer so I could be diagnosed with a label. I’m not an animal being classified under a biological term, a taxonomic group which has a criteria so rigid it will only be changed with mind blowing biological evidence, only to be met with criticism and doubt still. These are feelings, language and culture.
Feelings can be straightforward, such as happy, feelings can be charged with layers and layers of experiences and years of history behind them, such as anger, and feelings can be conflicting or not quite fit with any known word. That’s how people make up new words based on old, well known concepts, such as bittersweet. Gender and attraction are feelings.
Language evolves, yes, but not in the same way as animals. It’s not coincidence after coincidence and survival of the fittest. Most of the time, it’s forced, purposeful changes. Take the word ‘okay’ — once upon a time a small group thought the feeling they were trying to communicate wasn’t properly explained with the phrase ‘all correct.’ People began to misspell it ironically as ‘orl korrect’, which was shortened to ‘OK’. A few decades later, ‘okay’ came about, because ‘OK’ wasn’t communicating what people wanted anymore. Language is changed and added to when someone wants something to be known and has no current way of articulating it. Sometimes it’s ridiculed, such as some slang, different dialects, and English variations. Gender and attraction are expressed through language because it’s a feeling.
Culture should be viewed through the lens of an anthropologist — someone who studies humanity. Witness without judgment people using whatever confusing and contradictory labels they like, if any at all, and together we can study those behaviours to discover why they bring such comfort. After all, you can’t properly study the behaviour of people who you’re forcing to act a certain way. Gender is a part of culture because of it’s significant role in language.
Queerness should not be about rigid criteria, exclusion, or checklists. It’s a beautiful, colourful feeling on a spectrum which can only be expressed through words in an attempt to summarise it.
I’d like to draw specific attention to the following:
Identities outside the binary, such as bigender people.
Contrasting identities, such as a woman who experiences gay love for men.
New and uncommon identities, such as xenogenders.
The use of the term ‘non-men’, which chooses to describe lesbian identities in relation to the exclusion of men instead of in relation to a unique, feminine love of women. Being a lesbian is least of all about men, so I don’t see why it should be defined in relation to them.
The arguments against such identities are recycled queerphobia. Men who are also lesbians—and others who don’t neatly fit into binary labels—do not need to pick a side, just like bisexual people don’t. Neopronoun users aren’t cisgender attention seekers trying to be special, just like the non-binary people attacked with those words or the binary transgender people before them. These are just some of the awful things I’ve heard about the less accepted side of our community.
Such people, including myself, may not be practicing queerness in a way well-known by the mainstream, but it should be expected that as more and more identities become common, more are discovered. If you want to take a torch into the darkness to welcome the people you know are hiding there, expect to see an entire world you were blinded to.

radical inclusivity is integral to the lgbtq+ community.
we are all in the same boat of otherness in the eyes of cishetnormative society, it does no good to infight over labels deemed contradictory or embarrassing.
it hurts no one if a man identifies as a lesbian or if someone uses neopronouns. it does not ‘make us look bad,’ it does not ‘bring down the movement.’ it is unabashed queerness.
those who wish harm upon the lgbtq+ community wish harm upon ALL of us. there are no exceptions for those who bootlick or attempt to conform.
a multisexual spectrum gay looks the same as a monosexual gay to those who want gays dead.
peace to old and new queer folk, peace to faggots, dykes, and transsexuals, peace to gays, lesbians, and transgender persons, peace to those i don’t understand and those i do, peace to the lgbtq+ community for ever and ever.

You are valid.
To asexual alloromantic people, you are valid.
To aromantic allosexual people, you are valid.
Even if you're heterosexual or heteroromantic, you still are valid.
If your romantic and sexual identities don't align and you are allo, you are valid.
If you're trans, you are valid.
If you're non-binary, or any other gender that can't be described as man or woman, you are valid.
If you use neopronouns, you are valid.
Don't let anyone tell you you aren't. The LGBT community shouldn't exclude anyone that is queer.
I can't believe this isn't obvious to some people. I can't believe how many queer people are hateful to other queer people. Don't do that.
Just because you don't understand someone's identity, doesn't mean it isn't valid. You don't even have to understand it, just respect it.
It's literally so much easier to not hate on people.

Neopronouns Flag Re-Desing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
by: Ethan (i4eth)
I made this new flag design because the flag representing the most popular neopronouns wasn't very pleasing to my eyes and I found the meanings a bit vague and not very related to the neopronouns themselves. Not that there is a problem with that, just create an alternative to deal with these "problems".
Color Meanings
Green: Represents Diversity, and I think it's important as there are different types of neopronouns, and different types of ways in which you use pronouns for comfort, so it's important that you know that there is diversity between pronouns
Light Green: Represents Freedom, its about you can use whatever you feel comfortable with as a pronoun, it's almost freedom, it's as if you weren't obligated to use popular pronouns to refer to yourself.
White: Represents Recognition, because neopronouns are generally viewed very negatively by people who only use pronouns recognized by the language, and the idea would be for people to see that neopronouns don't hurt anyone and that they need to be taken seriously along with the people who use them.
Yellow: Represents Harmony, everything that a person who uses neopronouns deserves, everyone deserves to live in peace and harmony, but for this to happen people have to stop having an opinion on how people live and how they decide to be, being themselves, and Learning to respect them, well, it's not that difficult.
Orange: Represents Community, we are a group of people who are attacked for not only using the pronouns recognized by the languages, we need to be united so that anything that tries to stop us, we overcome, community is one of the very important aspects, but not just queers, but as in society itself, we walk together because we are better together
Symbol meanings
I was researching a little about pronouns, and I discovered that there is a symbol that represents pronouns, and also neopronouns, but I found this symbol a bit strange, such as the fact that it only works in the English language, and I, as a person who speaks Brazilian Portuguese, I felt a little left out, but I know that the person who made the symbol didn't do it with bad intentions.
So I decided to reuse the symbol in my own way, I realized that the part that represented the neorponomes looked like a flower, with just a few petals, so I used that to make a metaphor. Neopronouns are diverse and colorful like flower petals, so I placed a flower in the center of the flag with the neopronou symbols around it, using an old symbol, along with a possible symbol/metaphor for people who use neopronouns.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Separate symbols, if you want to use them, and a photo by me with the meanings of the flag)
I couldn't think of any possible name for the flag, if you want to give your suggestions, you are free!
Any questions suggestions just call ⭐

neopronoun fun fact
the swedish language has three sets of pronouns for people. the feminine(hon/henne/hennes), the masculine(han/honom/hans) and another newer addition
the gender neutral pronoun hen/henom/hens(alternatively hen/hen/hens) is an invented pronoun adopted into common swedish as early as the 60s. it comes from mashing together the feminine pronouns "hon/henne/hennes" and the masculine pronouns "han/honom/hans" and was meant to replace the phrase "he or she" and make writing less clunky
hen helps demonstrate how language evolves over time and how adopting a new term isn't impossible or even uncommon. if a neopronoun can be accepted as a part of the swedish language in the 60s, you can learn how to use zir or whatever else may make someone comfortable.

Saying that It/Its Pronouns and neopronouns are transphobic is transphobic and ableist. These kinds of pronouns were created and used by disabled and neurodivergent Trans people. Saying those pronouns are transphobic is transphobic because you're blaming those Trans people who use them for the transphobia caused by cis people and binary Trans people, especially those who are Transmeds and gender critical. They are also telling disabled Trans people that they need to act a certain way in order to be taken seriously by cis people and other Trans and Queer people.
No Queer person owes anyone, cishet or Queer, conformity and palatability. If you can't take a certain Queer person seriously because you think that they're "weird" or "cringy," then that's your problem. And if you refuse to address any Trans person who uses it/its pronouns or neopronouns by their correct pronouns, you're being transphobic. Respecting Trans people is not conditional. You have to respect a Trans person's identity regardless if you disagree with their gender identity/pronouns.
I'm not Trans, but I'm neurodivergent. I've faced ableism (and currently still am) and have been discriminated and bullied for being neurodivergent, as well as being called the r slur (and still have been called that as of recently). I know how it is to be seen as weird, cringy, and felt as if I was "less than" from first-hand experience. Anyone who makes fun and shames any person who identifies as xenogenders, uses neopronouns, and it/its pronouns out of fear of transphobia is supporting cringe culture. Cringe culture was created by neurotypical and able bodied people as a way to dehumanize disabled people for just being themselves. Cringe culture should die off by now, but there are still people trying to push Cringe culture.
So please, stop bullying and shaming any Trans person who uses identities and pronouns that you don't agree with.

-Please continue with the rest of the post to read more about this blog, rules, and DNI before making a request-
🌸About Blog🌸
This blog is dedicated to making profile pictures/icons based on various Queer identities. This blog supports all good faith Queer labels, gender identities, and pronouns. This blog is not a safe space for those who wish to exclude people who identify with labels that pose no threat to anyone within the Queer community. The exclusion within the community is harmful and promotes fighting between Queer people, including promoting Queerphobia within the Queer community.
🌸Rules🌸
-You're limited to two flags for each icon you request. I can only do two flags on one icon as it's much easier for me to do so. I will open up to doing more than two flags in the future if I'm able to do it.
-Any requests of characters of media I refuse to use and flags I refuse to use will be deleted. If you PM me trying to convince me to accept your request (or make a post with me tagged in it doing the same thing), you will be blocked.
-If you're going to use my icons, please credit me beforehand. However, you don't have to ask me to use any of things. All the icons on this blog are free for anyone to use.
-Reblogs and comments will be turned off on my icon posts to prevent people from my DNI list from interacting with my blog. Anyone from my DNI list who tries to reach out/interact with me via a PM or a post will be blocked.
-Discourse of all kinds is forbidden on this blog. I have a discourse blog that is tagged at the top of this post.
-If there's a certain Pride Flag(s) you want me to do, please send it to me through a PM or askbox.
🌸DO NOT REQUEST!🌸
-Exclusionist "Pride" Flags (Battleaxe Bi, Longsword Lesbian, Gravity Knife Gay, Transmed Flag, ect.)
-Radqueer "Pride" Flags
-Lesbian Pride icons using the Labrys Flag or Lipstick Lesbian Flags (these Flags were made to exclude certain groups of Lesbians)
-Requests making Pride icons of canonically strictly aroace characters (unless I make them). This is to avoid people asking requests that are for the purpose of erasing the identity of those aroace characters.
-YouTubers, Celebrities, Actors, and Singers who are not Queer
-Two Spirit Pride Flag of non-Native and non-Indigenous characters (this includes if you headcanon them as Native/Indigenous).
-Mspec Lesbian Pride Flags of canonically Lesbian characters (just to prevent discourse)
-Mspec Gay Pride Flags of canonically Gay Male characters (to prevent discourse)
-Mspec Bi, Pan, Omni, and Ply Pride Flags of canonically Bi, Pan, Omni, and Ply characters (again, to prevent discourse)
-Lesbian Flag of cis male characters
-Gay/MLM Flag of cis women characters
-Pan, Omni, Ply Pride Flags with canonically Bisexual characters
-Bi Flag with canonically Pan, Omni, and Ply characters
-Lesbian/MLM Flags with canonically Bisexual, Pan, Omni, and Ply characters
-Cis "Pride", Straight "Pride", Super Straight "Pride" Flags
-MAP "Pride" Flag
-AAM Flag (stands for Adult Attracted Minor)
-Kink Pride Flags of canonically underage characters
-Pride Flags involving harmful kinks
Please note that I will accept any requests as long as what you want to request isn't on the DNR list. If you have any questions regarding the Do Not Requst line, please don't be afraid to ask. I will also be accepting requests using Neurodivergent and Disablity Pride Flags.
🌸Media I Will Do🌸
🌸JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (I will not be doing icons of Stroheim and Yukako as I absolutely hate these characters. I will not do Bi and Polyamorous pride icons of Joseph as he cheated on his wife. On top of that, it's a harmful stereotype of Bi and Polyam people being cheaters)
🌸Star Wars (I will not accept any icon requests of Cara Dune due to her actress being an extremely terrible person)
🌸Demon Slayer
🌸Jujutsu Kaisen
🌸Marvel (I will not accept requests the MCU versions of Scarlet Witch, Starlord, Kang, Ant Man, Wasp, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, and Black Widow due to their actors being shitty people (let me know if I miss any MCU actors for this list). I will not do Pride icons on the character Sabra due to the fact she's a Zionist character, and she's named after a massacre. I will not accept any Pan, Omni, and Ply flag requests of Loki as he's canonically Bisexual.)

The exclusionist people are just as bad as the gay or trans people that are right-wing.
Who the fuck cares if some kid wants to go by meow/meows pronouns. If that’s what fits let meow go wild. If some guy identifies as a trans man lesbian, who cares?? As long as the person he’s in a relationship with doesn’t care why should you????.
IT DOESN’T HURT ANYONE
A bunch of fucking hypocrites the are as awful as the conservative het-cis using the same god dammed arguments as them.
They feel like non-binary people or any other people that don’t fit in there boxes are “stealing they’re rights” or “embarrassing the community”.
Nobody is stealing your rights, THIS ISN’T PIE. Can’t believe I have to tell people from the community this stuff
If you’re an exclusionist go fuck your self
YOU are the embarrassment and nobody in the community wants you here
Go cry to your conservative friends that would literally murder you if given the chance

(sorry for all the serious topics. ill be back om my bullshit soon)
im no longer allowing some people to identify as lgbt. if you can't accept everyone, you can fuck off.
shaming people for using gender in a different way as you? hm.... isn't that exactly what transphobia n shit is? "your gender isn't just like mine, you aren't real". so to the trans people that don't like neopronouns n stuff, shut up
you don't understand, that doesn't give you the right to invalidate it. I don't understand how people like eating pears, but it doesn't mean I can just say they aren't real.
again, sorry. and Idk if I explained this right either. I tried to simplify it as much as possible
