I know it was unexpected for plenty of people but I LOVE the implication that in S3 willow is the one rocking a tough, practical jacket and hunter is the one in the cozy nerd sweater. Especially in the context of how they've always viewed each other?

Willow has always been the "leather jacket-wearing bad-boy with a heart of gold" in hunters eyes when you think about it. She's strong, plays a flashy contact sport that's essentially fantasy-roller derby, stands up to authority and fights for a cause, all the while being sweet and silly and sensitive and secretly insecure but healing from something traumatic that happened to her.

And on the flip side, willow didn't meet Hunter when he was the golden guard, she met him when he was pretending to be a normal kid. He was weird and awkward and overzealous and stand offish. His best friend is a bird and his name is Caleb Jasper Bloodwilliams. BUT as the day goes on he makes friends, acts dorky and encouraging, does something really weird and messed up but (most important to willow) demonstrates that he can mend the mistakes he makes. He's soooo the sheltered "good" girl learning to come out of her shell and willow is the risk taking beefcake who shows him the world. It's disgusting and I love it

I think my biggest smosh character unpopular opinion is that the Creekside Killer doesn't exist.

Ofc smosh characters (outside of sword af and baf legacy) don't really have any Canon, only characterization, really. (They are here to be comedic, not build a narrative.) BUT I think the Creekside Killer not existing is important for Sarah Christs' characterization. Or at least my characterization of her.

In the subtext of most of the jokes, the joke or part of the joke is that he isn't real, but a patchworked story/ enemy Sarah created. That's where the humor comes from.

She needs one convenient bad guy. Someone that represents the worst in the world. Because then she can beat it. Then there is a goal, something SHE can do.

I think the Creekside Killer is something her mind created to make her feel less helpless and lost. She is a super paranoid person, that gets pushed into being the straight man a lot because the people around her are unexceptionally over the top (redacted, chosen). When she is alone, the opposite shines threw.

This is the most clear the universal studios video. She is a mess in that video and the whole joke is that she spends the entirety of it (and her life tbh) on a wild goose chase after a man that isn't real.

On the other hand, I am also really interested in having him as a character. Be it from smosh or in fan works. Especially if he is also used as a metaphor for something bigger. I do want a Creekside Killer, but my first interpretation is the "correct" universe for me. The most faithful and true verison of Sarah.

The same how I enjoy BAF Legacy Chosen with him being actual supernatural and special in a way, while he isn't true Chosen in my mind.

I think I am always drawn to the more human interpretations of these characters.

Kel is an idiot and is only the comedic relief of the group: Lame, Disgusting, Unfunny, Complete saturation of his character

The group all shares one collective braincell and are all equally as dumb when together because they are happy: Amazing, completely true, funny, wholesome, keeps these characters integrity and that they have been through so much together but chose to still live life happy together because nothing can separate them

so here's the thing about casper, like a surprising amount of rhys darby characters he's remarkably selfish but has the ability to charm you so much that you don't care. he wants what's best for him, and you want what's best for him too. perfect.

c!eryn’s ability to hear/sense negative moments of the past is really tragic, but at the same time, there’s so much comedic potential there. how strong does a negative moment have to be? do you think he can hear foolish’s breakdown over building the mansion’s chandelier, with the faint voice of toad in the background. do you think he feels fundy’s anguished cries as he runs away from a dolled up hbomb in full catmaid mode. do you think he can hear tubbo screaming at tommy to get away and that they’re not selling his bath water. do you think he can’t physically get close to bad and skeppy’s mansion because all he can feel and hear is all 70 of their divorces all overlapping at once. what are their limitations. until we get an answer the possibilities are essentially endless, and i think we should capitalize on that while we still can

OFMDBLOG 1k Celebration Event Day 3 — "This is Happening" Moment

recently thinking about oscars old quirk where he is a professional conspiracy theorist (picked up from his uncle) and as a result ended up keeping several notebooks worth of weird ideas and evidence he finds. complete with nice handwriting and illustrations/diagrams/etc.

when mochi sees his notebooks (and after he finds out correctly guesses that shes a witch), shes like "Wow, your notebooks are so nice and organized!!!!!" and asks him to become the guild scribe. general purpose of the job is to help mochi fulfill her witch duty of writing spellbooks, since his handwriting/diagrams are so much nicer than her bubbly and incoherent spell rambles

(she makes good spells, but mochi (who doesnt pay attention in school, and so sucks at writing) is awful at describing them and writing instructions. even when she looks back at her old things she cant decipher what she was talking about. its like reading a recipe with vague instructions that makes you want to cry.)
