Summary: Loki prompt: Reader telling Loki, "Hey! I was gonna eat that!" Loki can't resist taking a bite out of anything the reader is about to eat.

Your grip tightened on the fork in your hand as you fought the urge to stab the god of mischief right next to you.

You both had the entire day free until it came to this evening meal with the Avengers, sitting around you focused on their own conversations. The whole day! Why did he always choose the worse times to try to tease you when you were either around people or focused on something important.

Apparently on Loki’s schedule for today was to bite and take everything you attempted to reach for. Seems a thorough “hey! I was gonna eat that-“ scolding was not enough to make him let you have a moments piece to calm your hunger; he just went about eating with a small smirk on his lips as he pretended to be listening to the conversation around the table.

Taking a moment to glance at him, making sure he didn’t seem to be looking this way, your hand darted forward in almost lightening speed for a sweet roll but impossibly your hand landed on his where it gripped the piece of bread first. The contact made you quickly pull away with reddened cheeks as Loki pulled his hand back to set the bun on his plate.

‘’you literally have four on your plate already!’’ you hiss, keeping your voice down as you starred daggers into his eyes as he gave you an amused look.

‘’Asgardians need to eat far more than mere mortals. Why don’t you try reaching for the fruit this time?’’ he offered, almost challenging you but you knew better than to trust him. he’d probably magically teleport over there first before you could even lift your hand.

‘’you want me to starve to death?’’ you glared.

Loki sighed and gave you a “really?’’ look. ‘’I hardly doubt that one would perish by missing one meal.’’

‘’is that your intention then?’’ you gasped. By his unresponsive ass and taking another bite of his food, it made you second guess if he honestly was trying to kill you. So, you needed more of a distracted thought thrown at him so you’d have a faster chance to reach out.

‘’fine, eat it all. Maybe you’ll finally be as big as Thor’’ you said casually, straightening the unused utensils by your plate and saw his eyes flash at you in your side view.

This was your chance but instead of reaching over to take a roll from the plate before you, you reached over to his plate and took one of his. His “you dare?’’ expression and still a shocked one from your comment earlier was enough to take a bite with a smug expression on your face before you turned to pretend to listen to the conversation as he had.

Honestly its almost as if you could feel fire from his gaze at you and it almost made you squirm, regretting the comment as you tried remaining calm. Luckily his eyes slowly looked back to the others with his fork moving around aimlessly at the food he had harbored.

Perhaps the comment was to far, but at least you could probably eat in piece as you rose your hand to take another bite.. but your hand wouldn’t budge. Your other hand wouldn’t move either. Your eyes snapped down to see what the issue was but its like some invisible force was keeping your wrists down on the table.

Eyes narrowing, you turn them over to Loki who ate calmly while ‘listening’ to the others speak. You knew it had to be his magic and no matter how much you tried freeing your wrists, they wouldn’t led up.

‘’Loki’’ you hiss with a hushed tone as you tried getting his attention. He calmly ate and paid no mind until you used your knee to pretty much whack his.

‘’hmm?’’ he hummed calmly with a relaxed expression as he turned to look at you.

‘’you’re doing this.’’

‘’am I?’’

‘’cut it out, now’’ you whisper, as your cheeks redden while his eyes looked you up and down to see what the problem was.

‘’I have no idea what you are referring to love’’ he shrugs with a sigh and goes back to eating.

Your arm aches as you attempt to lift it, almost having half the urge to whack him if your arm would have freed for a second but it was no use. You knew it was to get back at you for what you said, and you genuinely felt bad as your eyes looked down, swallowing your pride. Taking a breath, you looked over at him with your voice low.

‘’alright, I’m sorry for what I said.. it was uncalled for and I take it back.. you have no one to compete with, you’re far more advanced and worthy to have all the sweet rolls you wish in this world.’’ It was a half joke, full awkward apology but it came with your personality. As if in perfect timing, you glance at Thor who was practically drowning himself with the gravy and you felt 100 percent grateful for Loki being who he is.

A small disgusted look came to Loki’s face as he ironically glanced at his brother at the same time before you saw his shoulders lower with a small sigh and he looked at you. ‘’you are forgiven mortal’’ he half teased back with a gentle expression before he plucked the roll from your hand.

Honestly, he deserved it so you made no fuss when he took it back, however you noticed how you still couldn’t move your wrists. ‘’.. can you led up now?’’ you asked and your cheeks heated up when he brought the bread to your mouth.

‘’I think you still need to make up for your little comment’’ he smirked as he waited for you to take a bite.

Your hesitation made you lose eye contact with him but your body tensed when you felt a hand on your knee, eyes snapping back to him. he loved it when you got shy and flustered. ‘’what are you-‘’

‘’with each bite you refuse from me, my hand will get higher.’’ He said calmly and took a small bite from it first. ‘’it’s not poisoned if that’s what you’re thinking.’’ He smirked and you looked back at the roll as he raised it to your lips.

Most of you honestly didn’t want to eat if that be the case, but for your own good you took a breath and took a bite.

‘’good girl.. after all, I wouldn’t want you to starve..’’

A/N: My Marvel writing is taking some angsty turns lately.

Steve does everything he can to patch you up right away. Its something left over from war, is he doesn't help you now he feels like he might not get the chance to. Even if the injury is small he will bandage you up himself before carrying you over to the medical wing of S.H.I.E.L.D and waiting in the room with you for the doctors to look you over.

Bucky holds you against him during the ride back, never taking his eyes off your injury, pressing his hand over it despite the blood. He's had plenty of blood on his hands, he never wanted yours. Stays up all night with you and is on your beck end call.

Sam swoops you up and flies you to the nearest hospital, asking for doctors as soon as he's inside. He's not calm, he can't be when you're breathing so heavily in his arms. Before the doctors take you away he presses a long, hard kiss to your forehead. When you wake up he's by the bedside, smiling at you, holding your hand, with a bag of your favorite snacks on the little table next to your bed.

Natasha can patch you up by herself, she's had to do it for herself, for her sisters, for her friends. So why can't she stop her hands from shaking now? When you smile up at her, strained as it might be, she feels a weight lift off her shoulders. Your smile is everything to her, everything.

Clint blames himself for not reacting fast enough to get you to the medical wing before you passed out. He was on edge the whole time while the doctors were looking you over, bouncing from foot to foot. You feel his lips against your forehead when you start to wake back up. A few cracked ribs, you're gonna have to sit out some missions from now on. But don't worry, he'll kick some extra ass just for you.

Thor makes sure that your enemies eat dirt and blood before he takes you to his bedroom and calls the doctors over. Don't even tell him that you're fine when he can clearly see you're in pain. Hates not being able to do anything but walk around the room, sparks flying from him due to how nervous he is. He'd like nothing more then to hug you tight and kiss you all over to make sure you're okay, that would hurt you so he settles for holding your hands while you sleep beside him.

Loki doesn't know healing magic, not yet. If anything will get him to learn it its seeing you groaning in pain. He's being pretty rude to the doctors, yelling about how they better fix you or nothing and no one will be able to fix them when he's done, just like the sorry bastards who did this to you. When the doctors are gone he goes in for a kiss only for you to stop him and tell him to go and say sorry, otherwise he's not getting a kiss from you.

Scott has a medical kit in his pocket but for more severe injuries he takes you to the hospital. He makes sure that you're never alone and if he falls asleep he leaves his ants to watch over you. Because he doesn't want to leave you the ants are running all over the house, fetching you what ever you might need while he does things like help you clean your wound or help you change clothes. It saves time.

Kate freaks out at first. As she is still new to being a hero she can't help but be beside herself when you go down. You tell her that its just some bruises and that you'll be fine but it does little to ease her nerves. What makes her freak out more though is you taking off your shirt and telling her to inspect the injuries. If she could stop staring at your half naked body she might be able to do as you said.

Peter prepares you a bath and runs out to get your favorite food while you're being patched up at S.H.I.E.L.D and then brought to your place. You don't expect him so he nearly gets hurt by you. Its a little funny initially but he quickly goes back to being the worried and doting boyfriend. Can't go an hour without kissing you and asking if you're in pain or if you need something.

The very few months we’re his favorite, he loved watching his baby sleep and warp it’s little hand around his finger

Was very attentive to you both, brushed your hair for you and took the child for you to shower

Buys tons and tons of tiny socks because he doesn’t know self control

When the baby starts teething he lets it sucking on his fingers because they feel cool and nice

Lots of group naps because when the baby sleeps everyone else does

You and Loki go on walks together every weekend, Loki wears those body strap baby carriers

You braid Loki’s hair because the baby always tries to pull on his hair

He will cry on the first day of kindergarten more than your child and you

Floats the baby around just to mess with you and give you mini heart attacks

"Are you trying to kill me?!"

"Nah we die together"

When you get dressed up both him and the baby are just mesmerized

They are your number one fans

"Mommy looks beautiful doesn’t she?"

Loki’s favorite thing is when you and the baby lay on top of him and nap, it’s just comfortable weight

Halloween is crazy because you want to try every cute little outfit on your baby and Loki takes lots of photos

Overall Loki loves his little family, and appreciates every small thing about you both

Tom Hiddleston always gets the short end of the stick when it comes to ‘Loki.’

- His show didn’t have showrunners that actually knew about or cared about his character

- The original script he was given was blacklisted in 2018

- Michael Waldron the show ‘creator’ is a ‘phile’ and a sicko overall.

- Kate Herron said that they ‘made things up as they went along.’

- They wanted to ‘knock Tom down a notch’ in order to let Sylvie shine. I recall Taika saying a similar thing in relation to Ragnarok and even Feige removed him from Age of Ultron due to his ‘insane acting skills.’ 🙄

- Apparently Chris Hemsworth is ‘sick of Loki’ and said that he’s like a “clingy ex-girlfriend who can’t take the hint that it’s done, it’s over.”

- Taika Waititi said that Loki outshined Thor before so he wanted to stop that from happening.

- Taika wanted to put Loki in a porta potty:

- Taika wanted Tom to get pregnant with a horse implying bestial r*pe!!

- Most of his scenes from the movies were deleted

- They made him look older and less appealing in the show than he does irl. Look at him in some shots in the show then see him behind the scenes! The makeup, lighting and angles were unflattering at times! They even managed to remove that sparkle in his eye in the show but it was there behind the scenes!

- The director of S1, Kate Herron said that it was wanted Sophia/Sylvie to ‘knock Tom Hiddleston down a notch.’

The director of S2, Aaron Moorhead said ‘Why don’t you just go away?’

What we could have had… 😪 Poor guy. I wonder how he feels being bullied, exploited and sidelined all the time. 😢💔

LS2 episode 5 thoughts✨

The conversation Loki had with O.B. first concluded in Loki finding his "why" in order to control the time slipping. And, once he knew that and realized he needs everyone's temporal aura, where does he timeslip to? Back to Mobius. That's a sweet detail, and, similar to episode 1, reveals Loki's trust for this character. Even when Mobius doesn't remember him, Loki still believes in him. And in everything he was told back at the TVA, including the way he describe a jet-ski: "a beautiful union of form and function". Another detail that melted my fool heart was the way Loki laughed after Mobius's (or Don's, but I'm not calling him that) words: "Or did you follow me home?". They are precious.

"You saw something in me that I hadn't seen in myself". That says so much. It reminisces all those times in season 1 when Mobius was by Loki's side:

"A villain" "That's not how I see it".

"You can be whatever, whoever you wanna be. Even someone good. I mean just in case anyone ever told you different".

And we can see Loki learning how to trust, how to care. For his character, this is great development. He's not the same Loki that invaded New York blinded by pain and revenge. He's returning to himself and by doing so, he's returning to what truly matters to him. His friends, his found family. All those timelines he feels burdened to protect.

"It's not about when, where, or why. It's about who." EXACTLY. The other variables are unimportant if they're not in the hands of the right person. And, after the heartbreaking moments in which Loki is the only one left standing after everything falls apart in front of him, I think he understands that. To quote Tom Hiddleston himself: "He learns what heroicism really looks like." And this "who" goes both ways: who rewrites the story, and FOR WHO this is done.

"I can rewrite the story."

That line is epic! It shows the power he always had and can finally access. It puts the concept of free will in another light: it's THE story, not MY story. Also, how far back can this go? At the end of the episode, we see Loki back with O.B back when the Loom was stable. That's the point he chose, for everyone else, not only for himself. At this point, he could have gone back to Asgard, back to New York. Win it all, be king. But that's not his glorious purpose anymore. He's finally seeing what Mobius saw in him, even Thor, some time ago ("Loki, I thought the world of you."). And there was a lot of talk about stories, writing and rewriting them. That's sooo similar to the comic where Loki becomes the God of Stories!! Like, this is actually happening!

"They didn't get a choice in this".

I think this is an extremely interesting conversation he had with Sylvie, in which you can see both of their points, none entirely right. For Sylvie, free will is something left untouched. No intervention, ever, just moments and paths in a disarray only the one who takes them can know them truly. For Loki, it's more of a choice. Yes, we take our own path, but sometimes we're given a choice. There is no bad or right in this game, only choices. By giving everyone a glance at the TVA, Loki realises that. What if they want that life instead of the one they already have? They wouldn't know, if not given the choice.

"I want my friends back. I don't wanna be alone"

Okay, that hurt. In the time cell in episode 1, we remember Sif repeating the same thing over and over again to Loki "I hope you know that you are meant to be alone and you always will be." This says a lot about Loki's fears, and being alone is one of his biggest. But that's the thing, he found these people, he's not alone anymore! So of course it is extremely hard for him to just...give this up? It's not the first time he faces Casey and Mobius (Don?) not knowing him. His reaction "Not again" shows how scary this is, and we can obviously deduce that from the first episode. Not only everything is at risk of just disappearing into a void after the Loom explosion, when they are still there, still living, they don't remember him. Yet Loki finds a way to steady himself, and find everyone in all this mess.

But also, I don't think that wanting your friends back is something selfish, as Sylvie said. After going through different views over the same thing: "I want to stop He Who Remains" to "I want the TVA back" to finally Loki admiting that he wants his friends back, this is a matter that concerns many people, not just one. Besides, he did say that after all of it is done, they can return to their timelines as they never left. That doesn't sound really selfish to me. In fact, it reminds me of something Vision said to Wanda a whole ago: "What is grief, if not love persevering?". Then not wanting to be alone is a lack, a void persevering and waiting to be filled. And if that implies saving the Multiverse as well, then so be it (but that is definitely NOT the only reason Loki does all of this. He wants, and now can, rewrite the story for the better. For everyone, not only for himself.)

As of episode 5: Science/Fiction Loki is one of the most powerful beings in the entire MCU. Being able to travel back at any given point in time and space just by willing it into existence isn't a small thing. This, I believe, is something we deserve to see Loki in control of. Maybe it sounds a little too much to say that the whole fate of Marvel is in his hands now, but...it kinda is, isn't it? If not for Loki, we'd face the same disappearance as in Infinity War, only 100% now, not only 50.

I have been waiting and theorising for a long time that Loki will become the God of Stories. The fact that we might see it in less than a week is...something.

Also judging by the posters (which show different outfits from different times) there's a new suit we'll see him in on screen, and I can't wait!

Hellow, it's me again, can I request that the reader is like blue diamond from steven universe, her ability is really interesting on how she can make her grief a weapon that can spread to other's and emotionally & physically break them down, ofc there's also an ability that's the opposite of that which makes the person high on life or be in a euphoric state. In short she can project her emotions to other's.

I can imagine a scenario like:

Ever since the news of pink diamond (youngest out of the 4 diamonds) got shattered, reader fell into a deep depression to the point where whenever someone goes close to her by 5ft they would feel the grief and sorrow she felt. Reader would admit that pink was her favorite out of her siblings, their personalities might be the opposite on how pink is enthusiastic and bold while reader is calm and mellow. Fast forward on a few days after someone captured the god that had brutally shattered pink, the court then began session as all the gods have gathered to witness the first trial.

A few hours have passed and the reader hadn't spoken once but then the topic of 'how did they shatter pink' arrived, as they we're about to end the first trial reader then halted them saying to let them explain how they did it, as the god was explaining poorly on how they did it the reader then questioned what weapon did they used, the god froze for a minute before replying "a dagger..", the reader then stood up from her seat enraged slamming her hands to the table as it cracked from the impact "IT WAS A SWORD, HOW DARE YOU LIE." Reader said in distress as the whole court has been fully surrounded by a blue aura filled with sorrow and grief making most gods cry and fell to their knees.Yellow diamond then came and escorted reader out of the court to take a break from all that's happened releasing everyone from crying their soul out.

Now the million dollar question is how would the ROR god's react from readers strong outburst, especially the ones that doesn't show emotion much, cause i can really imagine ares just clenching his heart out while on his knees sobbing hard and zeus almost dying from choking. (P.S. i really love you're writing, it makes my hyperfixation on this anime go SKRRTT BRRRR, keep up the good work❤️)

-Your outburst in the trial of Pink Diamond’s murder became known throughout all of Valhalla, on how your power, your sorrow, was able to affect the strongest of the gods.

-Zeus had barely managed to keep standing, gripping his chest over his heart as tears pooled from his eyes, harsh gasps escaping him as he stared at you in awe, he had no idea you were that powerful.

-Odin was the only one able to keep from shedding any tears, even though the sorrow in his heart, the sorrow that you felt, he could feel his own anguish in every inch of his body.

-Thor was brought to one knee, stunned by the wave of intense sadness. He had been watching this proceeding, as he too wanted to know what could shatter a diamond, but when you stood in rage and sorrow quickly spread through the room, he was in awe, he had never seen someone so powerful.

-Loki couldn’t bring himself to make a joke, nearly choking on his tears, gasping pants leaving him as his shoulders shook with harsh sobs. When he managed to look up at you, the only thing that he was able to do was cry even more, feeling your hurt.

-Ares collapsed instantly to his knees, holding his chest as tears pooled out, sobs ripping from his throat as he felt your hurt, your pain, the loss of your sister, the light of your life.

-Hermes had kneeled almost gracefully when hit with your emotions, the tears were quick to be stinging at his eyes, his eyes closing as he clutched at his suit over his heart, weepy softly for you, for your loss.

-Hades was another who was brought to his knees, tears nearly blinding him, but his eyes remained on you, on your own crying form. He looked around the room, seeing the others in the same shape and he had to admit your power was respectable.

-Poseidon would refuse to admit he had been crying, but he too was taken to his knees, trying to fight the tears that ran down his cheeks, but he couldn’t get them to stop. Your sorrow was so powerful, he could feel your ache in every inch of his body.

-Shiva was another who openly cried, as he was hugging his wives who were all sobbing, trying to console them while trying to handle his own tears. He couldn’t even think about the idea of losing any of his children, any of his family, he couldn’t fathom what you were feeling.

-Buddha’s lollipop fell from his mouth, shattering upon impact with the ground, but he didn’t care, tears blinding his vision as his hand was clutched to his chest, feeling the sorrow deep within him, he almost felt like vomiting.

request: So when Tony has to push the middle up towards the sky at the end of the movie and goes into space and blows that up, when he's calling pepper, that can be changed to the reader, the reader actually answers and hears everything so they're worried But the avengers bring Tony home afterwards and the reader basically takes care of him by feeding him and running him a bath

warnings: Avengers 1 spoilers, mention of death, Battle of New York, swearing

I raced back to New York as quickly as possible. Images of Tony flying through the wormhole played through my head as pieces of the phone call he made repeated themselves over and over again. When Happy could no longer get the car through the city safely, I told him to just meet me at Stark Tower when he could.

"He's going to be alright (Y/N)." Happy said, squeezing my shoulder before letting me take off in search of Tony. Police, SHIELD agents, and everyone in between gave me strange looks as I went racing through the city. I kept trying to call Tony but I didn't get a response. It wasn't until I tried calling Natasha that I felt like I was finally able to breath.

"He's alright. We're on our way to Stark Tower now." She said. "One last...back off Stark...no I'm not giving you...HEY!"

"(Y/N)?" Tony asked. I put a hand on my chest and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank fuck." I breathed out. Tony laughed on the other end. "Don't you ever do that again Anthony. You scared the crap out of me."

"I know. I'm sorry." Tony said softly. There was some teasing from Natasha in the background and I could hear Steve trying to keep the peace. "We're almost back at the tower. We got to grab Loki and then we're good. Thought about going out to try shawarma. Wanna join us?"

"No. And you're not going anywhere mister." I said. I could hear Tony gulp on the other end. "You are going to stay at the tower and wait for me. Then we are going to eat actual food and I am going to make sure you are alright." The line went silent for a second. "I saw you fall Tony. The suit powered down didn't it?" Silence. "Tony." I breathed out, looking up at the street sign. "Listen ETA ten minutes. I'll wait in the lobby. Come get me when its safe."

"Will do. Love you." Tony said before handing the phone back to Natasha. I hurried through the destruction to the tower. Fury was already there and ushered me in.

"I told Tony I'd wait here for him." I said. "What the fuck happened? Sending a nuke..."

"Security counsel." Fury said. "I was the only one who vetoed." I stared at him for a second before nodding. "(Y/N), you should know...and knowing Stark he won't tell you..."

"He called me. I know he went up. I know the suit powered down. That suit wasn't meant for space travel. Which is what I'm assuming he did." I said. Fury nodded.

"He was dead when he came down." I paused and looked away. "Rogers and Banner were with him. The Hulk actually. Thor too. But Rogers wouldn't have known the first thing to do and Thor was going to light Stark up to bring him back. Hulk did something and it brought him back." My eyes found Tony as he walked out of the elevator, Loki surrounded by the rest of the Avengers. "He's too proud to admit it, but he needs you. Especially now." I nodded.

"He was going to go out with the team for food. I'm making him stay in." I said. "Did someone look him over?" Fury shook his head. "Course not. Send someone up to the penthouse. Or what's left of it. Tony and I will meet them up there." Fury nodded once he saw Tony making his way over to us.

"Thank god you're safe." Tony breathed out as he hugged me. I hugged him back, finally feeling all the anxiety leave my body once he was back in my arms. "I'm so sorry for scaring you. I shouldn't have done that." Tony rubbed my arms as he pulled back.

"Called me?" I asked. "Or taken the missile up?" Tony dropped his gaze to my shoulders. "Because we both know that if you were faced with that possibility again, you wouldn't change a thing about how you handled it." Tony nodded and leaned in to bury his face in my neck. "Just make sure you have a better suit next time. One designed for wormhole based space travel." Tony let out a quiet laugh before pulling away to lead me back upstairs.

"Its kind of destroyed. But the bathroom still works. And the bedroom is fine." Tony rambled.

"We can rebuild. Its fine." I assured him. "I'm going to order food from that one Italian restaurant in Queens. Assuming its still there. We can have a bath while we wait for it." The doctor that Fury had sent up came into view and Tony paused. "But before all that, you are going to get checked out." He looked over at me with a frown. "Fury told me your heart stopped. You were dead Tony. Neither of us know what Hulk did but he brought you back. You owe Banner for that by the way. It was Rogers and Thor and we both know neither one of them would know the first thing about getting you out of that suit or the help you needed. So you are going to get looked over," I pointed a finger in Tony's face. "And I am going to assess the damage to our private area. Then we are taking a bath and eating and going to bed." I patted Tony's shoulder as the doctor came over before walking away to see if we would need to get a hotel for the night.

Earth X #8

May, stop being in space! You need your oxygens!

Earth X: it’s a Bad Future and it is a mess.

Uatu the Watcher has been blinded and he kidnapped Aaron to be his seeing eye robot. Uatu has bullied and dehumanized Aaron into deleting his own personality.

There’s been a mass empowering event which mutated all of humanity. At first it seemed like it was Reed Richard’s fault but doubt has been raised.

A psychic brat called the Skull has arrived in New New York with an army of thousands of mind controlled people.

Bruce Banner came to Sorcerer Supreme Clea for help contacting dead Mar-Vell. But Clea turns out to be in league with Loki and traps Thor and Hulk in in the Realm of Death.

Everything is apparently the Celestials’ mysterious plan for Earth or alternatively events are off the rails and happening 200 years sooner than they’re supposed to.

Earth X has so much stuff going on. So many subplots. And yet if it was a conspiracy board, all the yarn would connect to the Celestials.

I’ve commented before that Earth X takes the chaotic, kitchen sink Marvel universe and tries to tie it all into the Celestials.

A few issues back, Uatu explained that the Asgardians weren’t gods, they were shapeshifting empathic aliens who looked like Norse mythology because people expected them too.

It wasn’t an explanation I particularly liked.

Then, last issue, it was explained that the Hulk’s various personas were only a result of the Celestial seed in Bruce absorbing more and more gamma and had nothing to do with Bruce’s mental health.

This also I didn’t particularly like.

Now Earth X goes in a similarly weird direction by claiming that Peter Parker’s trademark crushing guilt and responsibility complex are also part of the Celestial plan.

Uatu doesn’t finish explaining how the hell this makes sense because he notices Aaron ask a follow-up question… which means Aaron didn’t erase his own personality!

Yay, Aaron! It would have been a bummer for him to undergo identity death for Uatu’s jerk ass.

In fact, Aaron was pretending to be an emotionless robot because he suspected that Uatu wouldn’t reveal the true secrets behind everything as long as he could still second guess them.

So now he knows (almost) everything. And he is furious.

Aaron Stack: “Who knows, maybe man’s every vice and every hunger can be traced to the Celestials. Maybe the Celestials’ manipulation of mankind’s evolution was in actuality a step down. The fall of man. You’ve damned them, Uatu. You and your Celestial Host. I guess this doesn’t surprise me. You’ve set yourself up as God. So you have the power to damn. But do you have the power to save? Could you redeem what you’ve set out to curse? You could. I know it. But you just don’t want to bother with it. You’d rather sit. And watch.”

John Jameson, moon werewolf astronaut, wanders into the Watcher’s home and right into an argument between Uatu and Aaron.

Which is good because it gives Aaron someone else to talk to when Uatu goes to sulk.

Also, somebody to narrate to. John wants to warn Earth about a scary something approaching from space but Aaron runs through the subplot list to show how everything is a mess and nobody is really available to deal with space invaders.

Captain America uses the Lockjaw teleporter (which I guess he borrowed from Reed) to warp right into Tony’s self-quarantine. Freaking Tony the hell out with fears of contamination.

Cap tries to warn Tony about the Skull’s huge army reaching New New York but Tony is sure the Iron Avengers have it handled.

(They don’t. They’ve been destroyed by the Skull’s army)

The Skull also has his forces wipe out the Hyda. Hmm, I really thought the mind control squid would be more important to the plot. I included it in every recap.

The Skull is confronted by Cop Luke Cage (who I also thought would be more important to the plot after he had that scene with Peter Parker in issue 1) and is irreverent and horrible as ever.

He’s the worst. I love him as a villain.

Meanwhile, Reed and Ben walk the streets. Ben has an emotional breakthrough all by himself while Reed is completely engrossed in his own subplot and doesn’t notice Ben is talking to him.

He altered Cerebro to find Inhumans instead of mutants so he could find the missing Inhuman Prince but everyone on the streets is pinging as Inhuman.

At the same time, in Latveria, Luna starts spontaneously undergoing terrigenesis, the Inhuman transformation process. Which should only happen in the presence of the terrigen mist.

Which finally solves the mystery of the mass empowering event. It wasn’t an explosion at the vibranium radio tower. The entire world has been exposed to terrigen mist!

Somehow. We don’t know how. And the Inhumans seem surprised to realize that this is the case.

Over in the Sanctum Sanctorum, Clea gloats to a captive blind child Bruce but is surprised by Hulk and Thor escaping the Realm of Death with the help of ghost Strange.

She asks for Loki’s help but he’s bailed on her. Obviously.

So Clea decides to explode New New York out of spite but Thor transports her and him to Asgard, knowing Loki will prevent him from coming back.

With the Sorcerer Supreme and Thor out of his way, Loki gloats Earth is his.

Still not sure how this fits into everything else going on.

I’m not sure if Cap found any help from Tony but he moves onto Russia.

Currently ruled by Colossus.

There was a bit in an earlier appendix about how due to the mass empowering event, former superheroes were asked to take leadership positions since they were used to leading those with powers.

It hasn’t come up so I forgot about it but here we are with President? King? Secretary? Colossus.

Colossus doesn’t want to get involved because Russia is the breadbasket of the world and he needs to protect it. But Cap points out that the Skull won’t stop at the ocean. He’ll make his way to Russia eventually and he’s a dumb kid who treats this like a game. He won’t think about controlling people to do agriculture.

(If that’s the case, the Celestial plan for Earth must come about really soon after the Skull. Or at least depending on whether that’s been derailed or not by the terrigen jumping the gun by two hundred years. But my thought is, if the Skull is part of the plan, you can’t have much time between him taking over the world and whatever the Celestials need Earth for. Because the kid isn’t going to bother keeping civilization going.)

Back in New New York, Peter continues to try to convince May not to do anything. She just tells him to grow up and jumps into action against the Skull’s army without a plan.

The Skull sends Iron Maiden to confront May Venom. Iron Maiden begs May to withdraw before the Skull takes control of her but May doesn’t listen.

May beats Iron Maiden with a little asphyxiation and then immediately falls under the Skull’s control.

His creepy, creepy control.

Away from the action, Peter is at a loss for what to do now. He contemplates a Peter Parker Spider-Man costume he sees in a shop window but walks away very “Spider-Man No More” ish.

I guess Peter’s identity is out.

The appendix has a bit where John Jameson asks after his father. Aaron tells him that Jonah has himself locked up in the Daily Bugle building, the paper having gone out of business when it was revealed Spider-Man had been taking Spider-Man pictures all along. Jonah also keeps Jack Russell Werewolf By Night locked up with him, under the belief he’s werewolf astronaut John, since NASA lied to John and didn’t tell Jonah his son was going to the Moon.

Phew.

And the issue ends with the Skull and his top peeps cornering President Norman Osborn in his office.

Unless this goes in a completely unexpected direction, I also thought President Osborn would be more important to the plot than he was.

Was he just a Bad Future signifier? Things are so bad, Norman Osborn is president, but also he’s not really important?

Odd.

I've had two scenarios pop into my head recently that both basically boil down to "Thor is having Sex ProblemsTM, luckily Loki is here to help."

I think people are right when they say he purposefully lost

it's made even more obvious in the scene -with The Other- at the end of their interaction that Loki has been tortured and put through immense pain. I mean he was bending over in pain and was struggling and he also looks very sick when he first shows up. TORTURED.

not a note on loki but on steve. it always bugged me the way he was about orders and shit when in his own movies he's the exact opposite. he was the rule breaker the one who stopped following orders. the only reason for him to be this way I think is maybe it's because he's just got out of the ice at this point this is new and he doesnt want to rock the boat too much. Trick or Treat? More like Trick and Treat!

A/N: Cutest little drabble idea came to mind and I couldn't help but to write it. Just in time for Halloween and @eiyun 's Spooky Sports Collab! Thank you for such a cool collab idea 😊 Also have to thank @prettyiwa for sparking this newfound love for Mochi.

Word Count: 900

Warnings: F!Reader who dresses up as Black Widow from the Avengers. F!Reader is also a fellow second year and is friends with Kuramochi and Miyuki.

"Hurry up slow pokes! We have to hurry up before all of the good candy is gone." Kuramochi complains, clearly walking ahead of the group causing the Iron Man to chuckle.

"Of course no one is going to be as fast as you. I'm sure you could run circles around Sawamura." Miyuki speaks up, making sure to get a rise out of Thor Sawamura, who desperately wanted to be Iron Man and is struggling with his lighter and longer locks.

"I can beat you Kuramochi-senpai! I run with tires all day. You're on!" Sawamura yells, causing several trick or treaters to look in the superhero's direction. You run a hand through your short copper wig as you glare at Miyuki.

"Why would you antagonize him? You know he won't back down from a challenge."

"Well Black Widow, it is called Mischief Night after all." He smirks and you shake your head. You two were in your own little world as Hawkeye Haruichi and Loki Furuya try to get Sawamura to calm down.

"I should have never agreed to do this with you. Why did you even ask me to come to this? Because you couldn't babysit them yourself?" You sass, questioning Miyuki. His eyes light up with a glint of mischief as his smirk grew three sizes like the Grinch's.

"Nope, it's not that." He says, intentionally stopping short. You wait for him to continue but he doesn't.

Suddenly Mochi appears at your side as he places a gentle, green hand on your shoulder. You look to study his face and note that his playful smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes.

"Is he bothering you? Or is he just being himself?" He asks with a slightly annoyed tone in his voice, very protective with his big Hulk build.

"Just being himself. All good Kuramochi. Now let's get some candy!" You cheer before running off so the guys could come catch up to you.

For the rest of the night, you all went from house to house, receiving delicious treats and praise for your themed group outfits. At the end, you all gather in Miyuki's room to showcase your spoils, offering laughs and trades for your favorites. Things slowly start to wind down and you need to head back to your place.

"Alright guys I think I have to call it a night. It was fun!" You smile, starting to gather your things. The group goes eerily quiet and it takes you a few seconds to notice. Turning around, you see Kuramochi stand up.

"It's late and dark out, so I'll walk you back." He offers kindly, despite his eyes twitching as he no doubt desperately wants to stop Miyuki and Sawamura from giggling but you pay it no mind.

"That would be great, thanks!" You chirp happily before waiving by the rest of your friends. Kuramochi offers a chill goodbye to the group and Sawamura can't help himself.

"Good luck Kuramochi-senpai! Keeping her safe on the walk home I mean!" Then Miyuki joins in. "Yes make sure you don't drop any candy, especially kisses." It takes every ounce of self-restraint for Kuramochi to not kill his best friends.

"We won't! They're my favorite after all." You reply innocently, causing the guys to bust out laughing. Before you can even ask, Kuramochi takes your hand in his and kindly pulls you out the door, eager to have the cool nighttime air on his flushed skin.

Going into the night, you start on the path to your place hands still intertwined. It was peacefully quiet and you always liked Kuramochi's company. He could be a little rough around the edges but he was always sweet and caring at his core. You feel him get a little twitchy and look up at him with concern.

"Everything okay? You look like you're thinking hard about something." You say softly and you can tell he's trying to figure out what exactly to tell you before determination crosses his face.

"Yeah I'm good. Just thinking about how I'll wrestle Sawamura later." He smirks and you laugh.

"Don't go too hard on him. You know he means well. But Miyuki? Go wild." You chuckle before arriving at your door.

"I do have one more thing for you though. Go inside?" He asks and your eyebrow raises with suspicion. Still, you listen and open your door and step inside before closing it. A series of three knocks hits your door and you open it again to see Kuramochi striking a pose, flexing his biceps as he says, "Trick or Treat!"

Loki is an observing person, he notices the smallest of details, especially details about you, his beloved.

He knows the colors you like, the way you like your tea in the morning and how you would prefer to spend an extra ten minutes just lazing about in bed before doing anything productive for the day.

He also knows how you eat, the way you avoid having seconds and barely finish your plates, the way you keeping skipping meals or pretending that you forgot to eat.

There were days where you looked so pale it made him want to force feed you but he knew he couldn’t do that to you, it would only make it worse.

So he made a plan, he made sure to have all his meals with yours, he would fill up his plate and make yours smaller than keep adding from his own to yours so you wouldn’t feel pressured to fill it up again.

He would buy you different candies to try, takes you to small comfy diners you could enjoy.

Gets milkshakes whenever he notices you’re drifting away again, tells you to take it on your own pace, no pressure just enjoy the flavor.

He’s the proudest when you start suggesting real meals, not something like crackers or smoothies for the entire day.

After a good while of hard work loki can comfortably eat and be sure you would finish your full plate and not decline dessert.

But the moment he really felt happy was at Natasha’s birthday where the team had a small party with a big red velvet cake.

"Can I get one slice please?" The question was like Thor’s thunder broke loose in the building, everyone stared at you then at Loki who looked so smug and proud.

Tony spoke first "can you?! Hell you can have the whole cake if you want!"

"Juice or alcohol?" Bruce immediately tested this development.

"Um juice please"

It was such a beautiful change, nobody knew how to act after that, they just kept offering you foods and drinks, anything they touched and shard with you until you could stuff yourself even more.

It stayed like that for weeks, Natasha would order those expensive Belgian chocolates and try them with you, Clint started treating you like his child bringing snacks from whenever he goes to the grocery store and Tony oh boy tony, he placed a mini fridge in your room and made sure it was full again whenever it got empty.

Steve baked with you a lot too, even offering the cake mix spoon for you to lick.

"Thor that’s enough with your pop tarts!"

"But brother she likes them!"

Loki rubbed his temples in frustration while you giggled, you had no more place to place all the snacks and meals everyone keep dropping.

"It’s ok Loki, I’ll eat them later"

"Dove you shouldn’t force yourself to do that, you should eat because you want too and not because somebody told you so"

You smiled feeling heat sting your cheeks "I know my love, I’ll always remember that" goodness you loved him.

I sat on the desk watching him, Donald sat drawing in his notebook. We were meant to be discussing the topic for the lesson while the teacher popped out for something, we knew she'd be gone until five minuets before the bell so of course, no one actually was everyone was busy talking about their own business but of course, Donald and I shared a table so not much conversation was really flowing.

He didn't care.

Honestly neither did I.

But I didn't want to just sit in silence.

"So... What are you doing?" I asked leaning on my elbow,

"Drawing," he answered not even picking his head up,

"Uhh... okay.... what are you drawing?"

"Comic."

"What's the comic about?"

"Superhumans."

"Like superheroes?"

"No." he shot me down looking up at me, "Superhumans."

"Okay... sorry," I answered as the silence returned, "So... like Xmen mutants kinda superhumans?"

"No,"

"Like... Avengers superhumans?"

"No."

"So like what then?"

"Like...." he sighed, "Like superhumans based on their environmental elements, not mutants, not gods, not aliens, not cyborgs, But manipulated humans based on their environmental tragedies."

"... Like Batman villains?"

"What?"

"Like Batman villains,"

"How like Batman villains?" he glared,

"You know, Mr freeze has to freeze his beloved wife to keep her from dying, but it goes wrong and now he has to keep his body in a suit in order to make sure he is kept at a low temperature, and only does the crimes to fund research into his wife cure," I explain, "Or like poison ivy who in her attempts to look into the ancient plant life and ends up getting poisoned but it goes wrong so her DNA becomes mixed with the plants turning her into a sexy eco-terrorist," I explained "Or even babydoll... aww babydoll is so sad with a condition that makes her appear young when she is actually really old and her show gets cancelled so she goes out for revenge on the old cast and crew members for taking away her only purpose in life," I explained, "Like that Donald?"

"... Yes, like Batman villains," he nodded before returning his eyes to his book, "I uhh... I didn't know you liked comics," he glanced up at me,

"Kinda hard to avoid them," I shrug,

"Yeah but... most girls aren't into that kinda stuff." he said "Or they like the Avengers for Captain America's butt, thors Abbs and sexy Loki,"

"I mean... I wouldn't say no to a sexy Loki," I laughed, "But I get your point it becomes some mainstream people just kinda like the generic stuff,"

"So you don't then?"

"Well... I admit I did see Morbius half for the meme and half for Matt Smith,"

"I think everyone saw it for the meme," he laughed, "But like you didn't see Guardians just for Chris Pratt?"

"No, mostly for the soundtrack,"

"It is a great soundtrack," he chuckled, "Any other stuff?"

"Well... Wandavision is an amazing visualization of grief,"

"It really is," he nodded, "Would uhh... would you wanna come to the comic book store with me sometime?"

"I'd like that," I nodded,

"Great... I uhhh... I'm not busy tonight? We can walk there together after class and then I could walk you home?"

"I'd like that," I smiled, "but I've got my mum picking me up today we have to go visit family,"

"Ohh," he nodded, but I could see the disappointment on his face,

"But I'm not busy tomorrow," I shurg, "Here," I smiled taking his pen and his hand and I wrote my number across his hand with a little heart, "Texted me and I'll meet you there, maybe we can go out for ice cream after?"

"I uhhh I'd really like that," he nodded,

This is everything I could find on the story of Fenrir or Fenrisúlfr. Please take this with a grain of salt, I am not a scholar nor do I claim as such, these are just my findings (and some opinions/personal experience), and I am sharing said findings.

His name

The wolf god has many names, but no one know his true name or what his name "Fenrir" refers to. (watch the linked youtube video for more info)

• Fenrir (fen-dweller)

• Fenris (coming from Fenrisúlfr)

• Fenrisúlfr (Fenrir's wolf)

• Hróðvitnir (Fame-Wolf)

• Vánagandr/Vanargand (Monster of the River Van)

Appearance

In texts Fenrir is described as completely black with firery red eyes.

Family

Fenrisúlfr is the son of the giantess Angrboða, mother of monsters, and Loki, god of mischief and tricky. Fenrir has two other siblings, his sister, Hel, and his brother, Jördmungandr. Hel is the watcher of Helheim, put there by Odin, and Jördmungandr, known as the world serpent, who was thrown into the waters of midgard. Fenrir also has two recorded children but the mother is unknown, they are two giant wolves named Sköll and Hati, Sköll chases the sun and Hati chases the moon, and when they catch their targets, they will devour them, sending the realms into Ragnarök.

When Fenrir and his siblings were born, Odin had a dream of Ragnarök and the jaws of a wolf before him as his vision goes black, he wakes up in a panic from the vision (another version of this is Odin goes to a prophet of sorts and receives the prophecy from there (i can not find who the prophet is as of now)), after receiving the vision/prophecy he is determined to change his fate.

By sending Hel to Helheim to watch over the dead, Thor throwing Jördmungandr into the waters of midgard (earth) where Jördmungandr continued to grow in size until he could wrap around midgard and bite his own tail, and then Odin having a favoritism for wolves as he has his own, Geri and Freki, he brings the wolf pup, Fenrir, to asgard and they care for him there in hopes to raise him to favor the gods, however Fenrir, much like his brother Jördmungandr , continued to grow and grow, and so did his apatite.

As his size and hunger grew, the gods of Asgard became fearful, and the only god brave enuough to approach him to give him food was the god Tyr, thus becoming his friend. But due to the fear of the gods, Odin came up with another plan.

The binding

The gods went to the dwarfs and asked them to make chains to bind him, once receiving the chains, the gods presented them to Fenrir and claimed it a game of strength and if he could not free himself, they would release him from his chains. Fenrir, being the pup he is and wanting to show off his strength, agreed and the Æsir bound him but the wolf broke free with little to no effort. Seeing that he broke the chains so easily, panic swelled inside them yet they applauded his strength, so again they ordered the dwarfs to make stronger chains and so they did.

Again the Æsir presented the chains to Fenrir and again he agreed, then they bound him. With these new chains he had a little struggle but he still broke free, the gods applaud him yet again but they grew evermore fearful.

And for the third time the gods went to the dwarfs and demanded the strongest fetters (bindings) to be made. The dwarfs presented the Æsir with a golden ribbon they called Gleipnir. The golden ribbon was made from The sound of a cats footsteps, A woman's beard, The roots of a mountain, The breath of a fish, The sinew of a bear, and The spitle of a bird, all impossible things to capture in those days.

The gods presented the golden ribbon to Fenrisúlfr, and the wolf studied the fetters, appearing to be to easy he disagrees suspecting trickery, but the gods press and convince him, reluctantly Fenrir agrees but on the condition one of the gods place an arm in his mouth, the gods fall silent and look to eachother, knowing they were tricking him and didnt want their arm to be bitten off.

Tyr, Fenrir's friend steps up and offers his arm and places it in the giant wolf's mouth. They bind Fenris up and let him struggle against the fetters. Being unable to break the bindings he demanded to be freed, but the gods only laughed in return, except for Tyr. Hearing the laughter, Fenrir understood he was not going to be freed so he bit down and swallowed the arm.

The gods paraded the bound wolf and took him to the mountains where they tied him to the rocks, but as they did, the wolf giant snapped at the gods, so in turn they pryed his mouth open with a sword (presumably Balder's), and Fenrir howled in pain. Saliva pooled from his mouth, to the ground where it made a river named "river ván".

It was about this time when fenrir swore to devouer Odin at Ragnarök.

Due to the betrayal of the gods, Odin sealed his fate and is devoured at Ragnarök after the sons of Fenrir, Sköll and Hati eat the sun and moon.

Fenrir as a deity

Fenrir is not a puppy and most associate him as such due to dogs, but because he brings Ragnarök doesn't make him inherently evil either. He is a wolf, he is hungry, he is a wild animal and not to be tamed, he is hunger, he is primal desire, he is anger, he is that sweet taste of revenge, he is the embodyment of the rage you feel. Not everyone may agree to this, but it is a personal belief of mine. But if you agree with me, any time you feel that anger or bottomless pit of fear, that is him, he is apart of all of us, he is that primal wolf inside of you.

Offerings

I personally don't have a large setup for Fenrir but I do what I can, I have an offering candle for him as well as some items from outside that spoke to me such as a pine cone, some large leafs, a stick, a small river rock, an old retired mjölnir, and an offering bowl. In the offering I will put food typically, sometimes jerky, one time it was an oreo that he asked for. Remember he is a wolf with a growing apatite, I find he favors food, but items are just as welcome.

Here is a small list of things you could give as offerings but are not limited to this list:

• meat (cooked or raw)

• offer your intense emotions (anger, jealousy, fear) do with caution

• wolf imagery (shirts, statue, necklace, etc)

These are just some ideas as there is not much positive or nutral ideology of Fenrisúlfr, if you have any questions about fenrir please ask, and not all of the stories were researched, I feel like a lot of it I already knew or was Fenrir reaching out to me while typing. So take all of this with a grain of salt.

The Avengers: Part Six

Pairing: Loki x Female!Reader

Word Count: ~2.6k

Warnings: canon violence and angst

Suddenly, storm clouds roll in and lightning strikes the skies above the Quinjet.

"Where's this coming from?" Natasha asks in confusion.

Thunder rumbles overhead causing the Quinjet to shake slightly. Loki sits up straight and stares at the sky intently.

"What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?" Steve asks.

"I'm not overly fond of what follows."

Something strikes the jet from above, and you sigh knowingly. Thor must have found a way off Asgard if he's here for his brother. The ramp on the back of the jet opens and Thor lands on it, shaking the whole Quinjet. He grabs Loki with a glare and yanks him out of the jet. Everyone is left dumbfounded since no one here knows who he is... no one except you. Tony immediately puts the Iron Man helmet on to go after him, and you're quick to your feet.

"Now there's that guy."

"Another Asgardian?" Natasha asks.

"His name is Thor. He's Loki's brother," you say.

"Is he friendly?"

"Doesn't matter. If he frees Loki or kills him, the Tesseract's lost."

Tony gets ready to go after them, and you try to stop him.

"No, you'll just make it worse!" Tony jumps out of the aircraft despite your words. "Shit."

Steve grabs a parachute to go after him and you turn to him with concern.

"I'd sit this one out, Steve."

"I don't see how I can."

"These guys come from legends, they're basically Gods."

"There's only one God, Y/N, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that."

Steve jumps out of the craft before you can stop him. You look at Natasha who nods for you to follow. With a sigh, you jump out of the plane to follow the four men. Thor and Tony are having it out on the ground below while Loki is watching from the cliffs above. Steve hasn't touched the ground yet but you know he will go to Thor and Tony before he goes to Loki.

This is your chance.

You fly down to Loki and land a few yards away from him. He stiffens when he feels your presence but you're not backing down now. You march over to him just as he turns to face you. You push him on his chest away from you and he takes it because he knows you're not a threat to him right now.

"I thought you died two years ago!"

"Did you mourn?"

"How could I not? I did it for months while I was trapped on Asgard." You pause for a moment or two. "You're a fucking thief. You stole my life from me!" Loki wants to respond to that but he knows he can't lie. It's true. He did hide your memories of him away, buried in the back of your mind. "You took a year's worth of my memories from me. Do you not remember that?"

"I don't know, that was such a long time ago."

"Let me refresh your memory, shall I? You're the one who came up to me amidst the battle and took me away from him. You're the one who gave me shelter and promised me Markus wouldn't hurt me anymore. I'm the one who stuck by your side through it all, who loved you when you thought no one else did." Hearing you say these words is scaring him but you continue. "How dare you take something so precious away from me and act like it didn't mean anything. How can you stand there and act like I don't mean anything?"

"You don't."

He's only saying that to protect himself but you can see through his lies. It's been a thousand years since those precious times but you can still read him like an open book.

"Yeah, okay," you scoff and sniffle. "How can you say that and know it was it like to kiss me? Hold me? Care for me? That's all you did for that entire year. It's just you and me right now, Loki. No one is around for you to pretend to. I know who you are. I know the man you are, and right now, all I see is someone who is broken and tired. Tell me," you walk closer to him, "who is hurting you?

He grows angry because he doesn't know how to deal with his feelings. He doesn't know how to tell you that you're right. Someone did hurt him. Someone is manipulating him but he can't think clearly enough to actually see it.

"You know nothing about me!" he shouts at you.

"That's where you're wrong because I know you like the back of my hand. You're lost, you're broken, and you'll believe anything anyone tells you like how your father didn't love you or that Thor is better when really, you've always been the better brother."

The fight between the three men takes its toll when Thor uses his hammer on Steve's shield. The impact it makes levels out the ground a few hundred feet away from where they're standing. Trees are torn down, dust and debris go everywhere, and the trees near you and Loki shake from the force. You grab Loki's arm and pull him close to you.

"You made your bed. Now you've gotta lay in it."

Natasha circles around and gathers up everyone who left the jet, and you're on your way to the helicarrier in no time. Loki is handcuffed and escorted by many guards to his containment cell, the cell that they built to hold the Hulk if they ever so need it. It's a large glass cell held up by hydraulic rigs.

This feels too easy because Loki goes in willingly without issue, even after they take off his cuffs.

"In case it's unclear," Fury walks over to the control panel that is wired to the containment cell, "If you try to escape or so much as scratch that glass," Fury lifts up a clear plastic covering that protects a big red button. He presses a few buttons on the screen that opens a larger hatch underneath the cell. If he presses the red button, the cell drops down the hatch and freefalls to Earth's surface. Loki walks to the side of the cell to peer down the hole. He can't see it completely but his mind fills in the blanks. "Thirty thousand feet, straight down in a steel trap. Do you get how that works?" Fury closes the hatch and replaces the plastic covering over the red button. He points at Loki. "Ant." He points at the red button. "Boot."

"It's an impressive cage," Loki smirks. "Not built, I think, for me."

"It's built for something a lot stronger than you."

"Oh, I've heard." Loki slyly looks into the camera pointing at his cell. "The mindless beast makes play he's still a man." He turns back to Fury. "How desperate are you, that you call upon such lost creatures to defend you?"

"How desperate am I? You threaten my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace and you kill because it's fun." You look down at his words. Loki isn't this person. He's good if he only allows someone in to show him he is. "You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did."

"Ooh. It burns you to come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have power--unlimited power. For what? A warm light for all mankind to share, only to be reminded of what real power is."

"Well, you let me know if Real Power wants a magazine or something," Fury chuckles and walks out of the room.

Now that it's just you and Loki, you walk closer to the glass. He stares at you without an expression on his face. Still, you know exactly what he's thinking.

"If what I remembered is true, and we both know it is, I'm not going to stop until I get you back. You're not a lost cause even if you seem to think so."

You let him think about your words, and you head back to the bridge where everyone else is. They're all seated at the long table in the middle of the room, and you take your seat next to Steve. Only he knows your feelings for Loki. He's not judging you for having them, after all, you can't help who you love. The others would judge but not him. He places a comforting hand on your shoulder, and you smile at him.

"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Bruce asks after moments of silence.

They must have heard everything he said to Fury.

"Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?"

"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard or any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the Earth in return, I suspect, for the Tesseract."

"An army? From outer space?" Steve asks, surprised.

"I've heard of the Chitarui," you say. "They're ruthless creatures who will kill anything in their paths. They need a leader to operate, to tell them what to do. I'm assuming Loki is just that."

"So, he's building another portal? That's what he needs Erik Selvig for."

"Selvig?" Thor asks, looking at you.

"Jane is okay," you ease his mind. "He said she's halfway around the world working on something else. She won't be harmed.

Your words seem to calm him down for right now.

"Loki has him under some kind of spell along with one of ours," Natasha sighs.

"I wanna know why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here."

"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats, you could smell crazy on him."

"Have care how you speak," Thor glares at Bruce. "Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard, and he's my brother."

"He killed eighty people in two days," Nat points out.

"He's adopted."

"What did they need the Iridium for?" Bruce asks after looking at the notes on file.

"It's a stabilizing agent," Tony announces his presence from the elevator. "It means the portal won't collapse on itself, like it did at SHIELD." He walks past Thor who stares at him intently. "No hard feelings, Point Break. You've got a mean swing." He looks around the place and gets back on topic. "Also, it means the portal can open as wide, and stay open as long, as Loki wants." There are tons of people working on the computers on both sides of the platform, and Tony addresses all of them. "Uh, raise the mid-mast, ship the topsails." Tony points at a man in the corner. "That man is playing Galaga! Thought we wouldn't notice, but we did." He looks at the controls at the end of the platform and covers the eye that Nick Fury has an eyepatch over. "How does Fury do this?"

"He turns," Maria says.

Tony touches the side of the panel before turning toward the group.

"Well, that sounds exhausting. The rest of the raw materials, Agent Barton can get his hands on pretty easily. The only major component he still needs is a power source. A high energy density, something to kick start the cube."

"When did you become an expert in thermonuclear astrophysics?" Maria asks.

"Last night. The packet, Selvig's notes, and the Extraction Theory papers. Am I the only one who did the reading?"

"Does Loki need any particular kind of power source?" Steve asks.

"He's got to heat the cube to a hundred and twenty million Kelvin just to break through the Coulomb barrier," Bruce answers.

"Unless Selvig has figured out how to stabilize the quantum tunneling effect."

"Well, if he could do that he could achieve Heavy Ion Fusion at any reactor on the planet."

"Finally, someone who speaks English," Tony smiles at Bruce.

"Is that what just happened?" Steve mumbles to you.

"It's good to meet you, Dr. Banner." Tony and Bruce shake hands. "Your work on anti-electron collisions is unparalleled, and I'm a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster."

"Thanks," Bruce looks down in slight shame.

"Dr. Banner is only here to track the cube. I was hoping you might join him," Fury states when he walks in.

"Let's start with that stick of his. It may be magical, but it works an awful lot like a HYDRA weapon."

"He tried to mind control me in Germany with it. It should have worked but it didn't. As soon as he tried using its power on me, it exploded. It's like that power doesn't work well with my power. I think it has something to do with the fact that I have the power of the Tesseract in me."

"I don't know about any of that but it is powered by the cube. I'd like to know how Loki used it to turn two of the sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys."

"Monkeys? I do not understand," Thor says.

"I do!" Steve gasps. "I understood that reference."

Tony rolls his eyes while Steve looks pretty proud of himself for understanding something in this modern day.

"Shall we play, doctor?" Tony asks.

"Let's play some."

As Tony and Bruce walk toward the lab, the man playing Galaga starts the game up again to continue playing it. With everyone doing their own thing, you sneak off back toward Loki's cell. He's pacing the inside as if he's thinking and waiting. He pauses in the middle of the room before sitting down on the bench inside. You see yourself in the reflection of the glass, and another memory comes forth.

You can only take so much interaction with other people before you need a break. The ball is still in full swing with everyone dancing and enjoying each other's company while you snuck off to be alone. You're standing in the middle of the hallway facing the city below. The lights twinkle as some people return to their homes and turn them on. Your reflection in the mirror stares back at you as if she is a whole other person.

Loki has been looking for you for the past ten minutes and finally finds you in the hallway. He approaches you from behind where you can see him in the reflection of the glass.

"There you are." He wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you into him. He leans down and presses soft kisses on your neck. "The party is dull without you."

"Sorry, I needed to get away. I'm not used to all the attention."

"The library is quiet. We can go there if you'd like."

You turn in his arms and wrap your arms around his neck.

"I'd love to," you smile.

You pull him down to your height so you can kiss him. Every time you do, it's like the first time. Sparks fly the moment your lips touch his. This love is nothing like you've ever experienced before. He's so magnetic... electric... it honestly makes you dizzy. You've never felt safer than you do when you're in his arms.

Steve wanders the halls until he finds you, and he places a hand on your shoulder. You jump at the contact but calm down when you see it's him.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

"It's okay."

Steve looks at you, then at Loki, then back at you.

"What do you see in him?" You sigh but he's quick to ease your pain. "I'm not judging. I'm genuinely curious."

"All you see is what he's done now. All you know is the version you see right now. I knew him a thousand years ago. He was kind, gentle, and caring. He always put me first even if I didn't ask him to. He took care of me when no one else would. Where you see a villain, I see someone in pain. You think he's evil when I know he isn't because I've seen it."

"A thousand years is a long time. He might have changed."

"He hasn't. I saw the man I knew in there. He wants to come out but he doesn't know how. He's being manipulated by someone they know can exert their power over. He's a puppet in their plans. I'm gonna get him back. I just need time."

"You might not have a lot of it."

"I'll take what I can get." You shake your head and talk about something lighter than this. "Come on, we should see what Tony is up to. I can't imagine it's good."
