real-life adulting, man. i'm still my ex's emergency contact 6.5 years after we broke up and he just gave me his new girlfriend's phone number so that i can contact her if something happens to him. this is in lieu of making her his emergency contact, which may seem like it would make more sense, except that he hasn't told his parents about her. so i get to be the emergency contact who then would contact both the girlfriend and the parents. this all makes total sense to me despite the fact that i don't even live in his city. it's whatever! we've known each other a long time!!

Unbreakable bond
Dark fic, possessive behavior
***
"I have a date today!" Yuuji happily announces as he sits on the floor or Fushiguro's room. He's so excited he starts humming a song he once heard in one of Jennifer Lawrence's movies.
Kugisaki told him the girl looked like Jennifer, although she also told him not to ruin it because she was one of her friends in middle school.
He starts thinking about what he is going to wear for his date, but shakes his head and makes a mental note to ask for Kugisaki's help instead. Yuuji is so busy in his own mind he doesn't realize Fushiguro hasn't talked since he said he was going to go on a date.
Suddenly, the boy with dark hair kneels in front of Yuuji, trying to get his undivided attention.
There's something weird about Fushiguro's expression, but Yuuji is not sure what it is.
"Why?"
"What do you mean 'why'?" The pink haired boy asks in confusion, tilting his head to the side. His friend's eyes only turn even more dark. If it wasn't because they're very good friends, Yuuji would feel a little bit intimidated by that look.
"Why do you want to date her, what's so great about this girl? What do you like about her?"
"Well... I don't know," Yuuji smiles, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "I'm going to meet her today. But Kugisaki said she looks like Jennifer Lawrence!"
"You shouldn't go on a date with someone you don't know." Fushiguro scolds him, looking a little bit irritated.
Yuuji chuckles, shaking his head.
"I mean thanks for worrying about me, man, but if I don't start doing this then I won't be dating anyone!"
Fushiguro's lips part slightly, like he's considering his next words, however he stops himself before actually saying anything and instead shakes his head.
"You'll regret it."
Yuuji chuckles, finally realizing what's going on with his friend. He puts an arm around his shoulders and pulls him closer to him.
"Are you jealous, Fushiguro?" He says, smiling triumphantly when his friend goes all stiff and turns slightly pink. "Don't worry, we can tell Kugisaki to introduce you to another girl next!"
"No. I'm not interested," he narrows his eyes, but leans closer to Yuuji when the pink haired boy pouts. "Don't worry about me."

Nobara is going to kill Itadori; she has no idea how he managed to scare off one of her most patient and kind friends she's ever had. What did he have to do in order for her to send her a message about not wanting to see any of them again?
Sure, she wasn't Nobara's best friend, but she was great company to go shopping with.
Pissed, she storms into Itadori's room without knocking first and finds the pink haired boy curled up on his own bed and resting his head all over Fushiguro's lap.
Fushiguro is patiently and lovingly running his fingers through Itadori's hair and even though he's not exactly smiling, Nobara knows him enough to be certain he's enjoying every second of it.
"What did you do, Itadori?" She hisses, trying not to feel pity; yes, Itadori looks miserable, but it's probably his fault.
"I don't know!" He pouts, leaning closer to Fushiguro. "She didn't even show up!"
Oh. Then maybe it's not Itadori's fault after all. Although the situation is even more weird now.
"She wasn't worth your time," Fushiguro says, doing a terrible job at looking like he's genuinely sorry for his friend, but he's lucky Itadori can't see his subtle smile from where he is.
But Nobara can. She had talked about it with Fushiguro before, but the boy doesn't seem to understand that's not good to have a crush on his straight best friend. Well, they're not 100% sure Itadori's straight because who knows with a dumb, golden hearted guy like him, but he certainly talks about girls.
However, Fushiguro is infuriatingly stubborn and Nobara has the terrible suspicion that what he feels about Itadori is not a simple crush.
Which can make things complicated, but Nobara is not going to focus on that at the moment.
One thing at a time.
"Listen, I can get you another date with someone else," Nobara offers, because no matter how ridiculous and dumb Itadori is, she truly likes him and doesn't want to see him hurt. He's like a kicked, sad puppy and she's not that heartless.
Itadori immediately perks up and even though he looks adorable, it's not enough to dustract her from the glare Fushiguro sends in her direction. She would've been intimidated if it wasn't because she knows Fushiguro likes to be dramatic.
"Ouch! Fushiguro, let me go!" Itadori grimaces when he tries to get up, but the fingers on his hair curl into a strong grip.
"I'm sorry," the other boy mumbles, looking like he truly is sorry for a moment. He reluctantly lets go of Itadori's hair so the boy can rush towards Nobara and pull her into a hug.
Fushiguro glares at her again, but this time his expression manages to send a shiver through her spine.
***
Yuuji feels absolutely terrible; this time the girl not only didn't show up, she also sent him a message telling him she didn't want to see him.
Fushiguro finds him on the couch, sits next to him and hands him a bottle of ice cream that Yuuji takes immediately.
"Thank you."
"What happened?"
"She doesn't want to see me," he pouts, allowing Fushiguro to sit him on his lap. He's way stronger than he looks, although not as strong as Yuuji himself.
"Then she's not worth it," his friend says, making Yuuji chuckle. Fushiguro puts a hand on one of his thighs and another one on his waist before pulling him even closer.
"I think I'll stop trying to date girls for a while," he whispers, resting his head on his friend's shoulder.
"That'll be for the best."
He can't help but pout again.
"But I really wanted to go on a date."
"I can take you on a date," Fushiguro immediately volunteers without hesitation.
Yuuji chuckles because even though he knows his friend is doing everything for him and has the best intentions, he's sure it won't be the same.
"I don't think it'll work."
"Why not?"
"Because we don't see each other like that," Yuuji laughs because it's so obvious that the fact that Fushiguro can't see it is almost ridiculous.
"Oh..." the other boy grimaces like he's in pain and Yuuji tries to move away, thinking he's the reason, but the grip on his waist and thigh turns almost painful. "Stay."
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"I am," Fushiguro nods, before leaning closer and bringing their foreheads together. "We could go on a date as... practice."
That doesn't sound like a bad idea at all.
"You're right," he nods, agreeing immediately; Fushiguro looks really happy about it too. "Where do you want to go?"
"Wherever you want to. I'll take you anywhere. And I'll pay for everything, don't worry."
Damn, he's already better at this than Yuuji.
"Great!"
***
"Alright, spit it out," Nobara hisses, pushing Fushiguro into his own room so they don't have to talk in the hallway. She knows Itadori is with Gojo so they're safe for now. "What did you do to my friends?"
"Scared them off," the boy with dark hair answers immediately, not even bothering to deny it.
"That's obvious!" She huffs, trying not to show how shocked she is; the truth is that she had hoped that it was all a coincidence. "But I mean... what exactly?"
"Best if you don't know. But I didn't hurt them, just talked to them."
Maybe Nobara was wrong all along; she actually doesn't know Fushiguro that well.
"Why?"
"They're not good for him."
"And you are?" She snorts, crossing both arms over her chest.
"Of course," Fushiguro says without a second thought. "I know him better than anyone. I can make him happy."
"We don't know if he likes–"
"He'll like me," Fushiguro cuts her off, looking almost feral when he says it; it scares her a little bit for a moment. "I'll make him fall in love with me. You don't need to worry."
But Nobara does worry now more than ever.

So gonna be ranting about this mf on twitter
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Major Ian gallagher defence coming.
OKAH FIRST Ian 100% deserves mickey the same way mickey deserves Ian. When mickey is first introduced he is a homophobic closet case with no support system by the end of the show he is happily married to his fucking high-school sweetheart with his own apartment in a nice area and he has his own business. HE HAS ALL OF THAT BECAUSE OF IAN. Ian became mickeys support system and was always pushing him to become a better person. He shows mickey that he's not 'fucked for life' and he trys his hardest to protect him. Even if the way Ian did it , he got mickey to come out. Mickey needed that push. U think he would have come out if he didn't have someone he loves telling him to?
Now the cheating. The only time Ian cheats on mickey is during his manic episode in s4/5 AND HE GOT HELP AFTER. It's crazy to me that people don't think Ian regrets that and seriously use it as a reason to hate Ian. U better hate fiona and Debbie and Lip too. Yk what better hate mickey too cause he did have a wife and boyfriend (this is a joke don't kill me)
Ian not signing the marriage papers is upsetting but it's not hard to understand why he did it. Ian grew up around frank and Monica , his main representation of marriage is an absolute shit show. He's scared of turning his relationship with the man he loves into that. This is an expected fear from Ian given his worries about being like his mum. He doesn't want to complicate things. And he talks to mickey about this. Ian not signing isn't him being horrible it's his way of trying to protect mickey from himself because he loves mick.
And Ian is always trying to protect mickey, he backs him up in fights, when mickey breaks out of prison he doesn't go to the cops, he breaks up with mickey when he thinks their relationship is hurting him, he tells lip "hit my husband again and I'll fucking kill you". CLEARLY PROTECTIVE.
I don't have ss but mf was also like "Ian laughs at mickey being raped" so talking about that now.
The first time Ian "laughs at him" is in s3 when he tries to talk to mickey right after it happens. I don't think it takes a genius to know that Ian was trying to lighten the mood, not laugh AT mickey. He was also traumatised when Terry catching them happened. He laughs nervously because he has no clue how to navigate a situation like that at such a young age. He's a child making a badly timed, uncomfortable joke because he watched something terrible happen.
The second time Ian does this is with Caleb. During his relationship with caleb, Ian tries to convince himself that mickey was bad for him a few times. Making yourself hate someone is a lot easier than accepting the fact that they are gone. He shouldn't be telling someone he basically just met about that, but in his defence, he's talking about something he probably feels happened to him as well. Ian is affected by all that happened with mickey, and it makes sense that he tells people. In the same way, it would make sense for svetlana to tell people about the day it does for Ian too. All 3 are victims of Terry. Ian also has people telling him how bad mickey is all the time (mainly fiona tbh what if her problem with the milkovichs ) so he's trying to believe that, a easy way to do that is get validation from someone who hasn't been been around mickey. Caleb has never met mick, he has no reason to try defend him. I also don't really think what Ian was saying was making fun of mickey, it's not nice but yk?
This is getting long omg
On him being ugly
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
UGLY?!?!?
Cameron monaghan is GORGEOUS. He is the definition of cutie pie AND fine as fuck.
When mickey punches Ian because he didn't sign the marriage papers, HE DID NOT HAVE IT COMING. No one deserves to be hit by their partner. I mean, Jesus crist mickey literally broke his leg. His is probably the worst aspect of their relationship by that I mean the violence. A lot of it is playful, but it's not always healthy. Mickey was understandably upset but he shouldn't have hit Ian.
Okayyy now the hall of shame stuff. To me, that shit doesn't count cause Ian and mickey both act kinda out of character. I really don't like Ian saying that, and he shouldn't, but it's hardly a reason for Ian not to deserve mick. 87% is still the majority of his heart, and Ian wasn't saying he doesn't love mickey. Also acting like mickey hasn't said worst things.
"Ur nothing but a warm mouth to me"
"better than going off and having another bipolar episode"
LAST THING. Yes, mickey sacrifices a lot for Ian, like when he goes to prison for him, but not everyone shows love through large reckless actions. You shouldn't expect Ian to give things up to prove he loves mickey. Sacrifice isn't the only way to show affection. U can do it through words or gifts or quality time. Ian shows his love a lot through words, like when he tells mickey, "we have nothing to be ashamed of" early as s2. He makes him feel better when mickey is scared he would be a bad dad.
Ian gallagher haters are DUMB . Some people shouldn't be allowed to watch shameless cause how can u be so small-minded. People who say 1 of them doesn't deserve the other are just aggravating. Gallavich has a lot of ups and downs, and its part of what makes them so appealing. Despite all the bad things they go through, they always love and fight for each other.
Rant over

your dark fantasy/fae au is so fucking cool and I’m going to be thinking about it forever now. I just wanted you to know. that’s all, have a wonderful day <33
Hard same, anon! Have some more headcanons.
-Willie has 100% crashed while skateboarding, walked home with an obviously broken arm, and gone about his day because he still had chores and you have to work through the pain that's just what you do, right?
-NO, and Ray spends a very panicked ride to the ER.
-At least Willie is delighted with his cast and the human tradition of your friends writing and drawing on it. Julie draws a little butterfly for him and he's just delighted.
-The boys all sleep in one room in a giant puppy pile. Ray offered them separate beds but they all looked so betrayed he just... made sure they had enough blankets and pillows instead.
-After the bird funeral, Willie is concerned because Ray's garden is not that big and there are a lot of people in this house and apparently death comes for everyone and he is relieved to learn humans have special gardens for human dead people called cemeteries.
The next time they drive past one on their way to Carlos' baseball game, Willie presses his nose to the car window and informs everyone: "There's dead people in there."
It is quiet in the car (Carlos makes sure to note they can put the 'x days since Willie said something weird' back to 0) before Julie is like: you're not wrong?
-Luke is trying desperately to figure out if in The Modern Era he still needs to ask Ray's permission to Court Julie. After doing a lot of research watching the telly-vision, he concludes he does not, he needs to get Flynn's approval because she is The Bestie.
-Flynn is like: to court Julie you must first complete these quests.
-Reggie would put a stop to it but honestly it's keeping Luke out of trouble when he has to write a song, and fetch Flynn seven sodas, and come catch and release the spider in her room (he brings Willie who politely asks the spider to stay on the other side of her window) and perform Feats Of Strength (help Flynn rearrange her furniture).
-Julie finds out and puts a stop to it of course but to be fair she really likes the song and was very flustered at sweaty Luke in his cut-off t-shirt so... she can't be too mad at Flynn.
(More mature and ridiculous headcanons behind the cut.)
-When the equinox approaches, Willie gets a little distressed. Because Ray hasn't done any preparations. Where are the wines and grapes and cured meats? The honey cakes? The pixie pears? Ray who have you invited? What about the music? What about the revelries, Ray? Are you going to get the couches deep cleaned after the orgies or do you have special soft blankets to cover them?
-Ray goes from mildly confused to very distressed, especially when Willie is like: is that not why you have so many couches???
-What follows is a very distressing day for Ray as he tries to figure out if the boys have sexual abuse trauma on top of the whole 'kidnapped by magical beings' and 'hunted for sport' and 'enslaved to perform for the fairy's amusement' trauma.
-They do not, but just to be sure he has a talk with them about consent and safe sex.
-Willie staring at Ray like: "What do you mean protection? Do humans attack each other during sex? Alex, you never told me this." Luke is trying to calm Ray down like: it's okay Alex and Willie can't get pregnant they don't need to pull out unless they want to. Reggie is coming to the frightening realisation that he is the normal one and has to be the mature one. He is also very, very sorry, Ray. There were just... so many orgies. Or maybe just a few long, long orgies. Time was weird. You get kind of desensitised to it all.
-Willie understanding that Consent is like the magic spell that makes sex okay and starts just asking Alex: Consent? And Alex goes 'okay!' and they happily skip off together.
(Julie: I am traumatised. Reggie: Yeah well blame your dad.)
-Not Reggie quietly pining as he sees Julie and Luke get closer and Willie and Alex carefree and in love and he's just over here... trying not to think of exactly what happened at those orgies and how suddenly he's the one left behind and alone.

Okay, listen. Just gimme a second here on the whys of William Schenk's introduced persona(enormous case building for a headcanon incoming, be warned!).
We could go on and on about the reason of why William decided to present himself as a married man; in the context of evoking a sense of companionship, there's something to be said about the social pressures and the status of being married. Zeke's quick to talk about what being married means to a cop after all— although it's also curious that he presents himself as happily married, a dedicated father while Zeke himself's going through custody fights and a divorce.
It does make me think of what William wants Zeke to understand about him, ready for serious commitment and sharing responsabilities, he's willing to put in the work so to speak. There's a softer, loving and protective side of him — one he hasn't shared with many ever since his father's death, I bet — that he'll gladly show Zeke(and we only see him talk about his fake family with him).
But that's not enough of a motive, so let's go for the angle of what marriage represents.
Marriage's not just a symbolic, romantic act but the union of two citizens, both Zeke and William giving the impression during Spiral that they do perceive it as something that's supposed to be a conscious choice you make that has value, it's worth it; William could've presented himself as married then not just to show that he's 100% for loyalty and commitment but also that he's not that kid Zeke backstabbed Dunleavy for anymore.
He's not William Emmerson and he doesn't need Zeke to protect him or confuse the child he was to the man he is now(which adds another layer to his relishing of Zeke's anger and acceptance of each blow, the rawness of the moment leaves nothing to interpretation, they are in EQUAL standing—); he's evolved since their last time together. Zeke, none the wiser, eases his worries slightly when dismissing William's comment:
"Hey, man, I get it. I wouldn't want to be stuck with a kid either."
[Zeke stops to really look at him.]
"You don't want to be my partner."
Which he says after probably hearing Zeke's commentary(they weren't really trying to be quiet in there) on showing the ropes to a rookie, saying he doesn't want to be a 'nanny'. A subtle poke to Zeke's apparent expectations of him— testing the waters as if to see how much of a problem this will be. It's not about age though, or really about William in itself(as I've theorized in another post) and William proves himself valuable in the little time they have, as evidenced by Zeke's own words.
"Hey, William. Good work today."
There's the 'easiest assumption' that William really just used it as a disguise for the tattoo of his father's name but there's no logical need for a loving wife there. Or a son for that matter— he could've tattooed the name of a sibling Zeke would vaguely hear about or a nephew; it would still hold the weight of someone that William supposedly goes back to when leaving the job, give Zeke a burden to carry in terms of thinking of a young detective with a family that he couldn't save.
So. It makes me think, that perhaps William just holds in himself so much hope for what they can be. So much faith in their connection, there's no one else for him but Zeke and he has known this for years. William's cunning and confident, he doesn't lie to himself about what he knows to be true but there lies an issue— well, isn't it him insisting Zeke's unfortunate predicament isn't an universal truth of life?
[Chuckles] "Just because you’re getting a divorce, it doesn’t mean that everyone else’s marriages have to end, too."
Which roughly matches their earlier talk, when he interjects Zeke's bitter perspective on it:
"'While it lasts'?"
"Nothing happier than the wife of a new detective, nothing more angry than that same bitch ten years later."
"Maybe it’s ’cause you call them bitches."
The same way William's invested in taking Zeke by his shoulders and shoving him out of his defeated attitude towards the corruption in the system and guiding him to action, he's also prodding at Zeke's waning faith in partnership. It's not because his marriage didn't last that Zeke's never going to find the one person capable of staying loyal to him to the end... that he won't realize what he needs is right in front of him.
William's hopeful, obsessively devoted and has specifically planned his killing spree with luring Zeke, having him by his side, in mind… so, if he presents himself as a married man? If his and Zeke's hands rest close together on the table in whatever place they'd stopped for lunch or at Zeke's desk, when they squeeze next to each other to watch the spiral killer's tape, and their golden bands look just about similar enough to be a pair… it's just bound to be.

Since I only now finished the second season there is already quite a bit of meta available for the end and while I find a lot of it interesting and I'm not saying it's wrong (because who knows where Mr. Gaiman is hopefully taking us) I also think it's fascinating that at the core of a lot of theories seems to be the assumption that Aziraphale acted out of character in that last scene when I find he acted extremely like himself.
1) The decision to go back to heaven
Aziraphale has - different from Crowley - never been comfortable acting independently from heaven. He did it when he found it necessary (and later more comfortable along with the deal) but there's always been a very clear level of discomfort around it. Crowley was circumspect with his more virtuous actions because he was worried about the possible consequences - Aziraphale has always felt guilty, because what if he was really working against Her?
So him jumping at a chance to work with heaven presumably under his directives, under directives that would understand that you can't just e.g. exchange children, a more compassionate heaven makes total sense to me.
And sure he has to give up the comforts he's grown accustomed to - the food, the books, the variety humanity provides - but he's not selfish. He wasn't going to give them up only to make Armageddon possible, but he certainly is ready to sacrifice them for the greater good. As he tells Crowley: I can make things better.
2) Why does he believe Metatron?
Angels Don't Lie.
This season has hammered this idea home and good - sure they can obfuscate, they can leave out details, they can forget, but they don't lie.
And yes of course he himself is proof that they certainly can and nothing will happen, but I do think that he believes himself to be an abberation in this case and that the only reason he hasn't been punished is because Crowley is the only one that knows. And he's still mostly really bad at lying so I think he truly believes he'd be able to spot it - in a way even Aziraphale's first lie was extremely see-through but since angels don't lie they also don't know how to spot them in themselves.
(Plus i also think that since Aziraphale is one of the lower tier angels he's convinced that also gave him a pass.)
3) Asking Crowley to come back to heaven with him, knowing that would hurt him
Now the second part of that assumption is the crux, the most central part to why his actions are very much in character for Aziraphale, because does he know?
I don't think he does and all his actions during their flashbacks and interactions proves that at the heart of it he fully 100% believes that if he could, Crowley would jump at getting to undo his Fall.
Because to him Crowley is good and Crowley is Kind - and he's only forced to pretend he isn't because as a Demon he can't be. And he just wants Crowley to live happily, to be happy and for Aziraphale that means not being Fallen.
I don't think Aziraphale wants to change Crowley or that he spent 6000 years trying to fix him or anything toxic like that. But we see how he feels about the mere idea of Falling, how he acts when he's sure it's his time to go after Job - he's devastated, he's crying, he's desperate.
And it's not like Crowley is helping - Hell is hell and he never sugar coats that. And while Aziraphale had over the millenia gotten a few stern talking-to's, he's never been punished the way he had to watch Crowley he punished.
And on top of it all, he remembers Crowley pre-Fall, how happy, how joyful, how full of wonder and how he didn't have to hide any of this then. How he could just be this way without having to hide it away.
So i don't think he realises that Crowley's decision to be alone so he doesn't have to play along with Hell's schemes actually applies to the whole system.
And the reason he doesn't realise this is because at the heart of it, he believes in heaven. Despite everything, despite the cruelties he's seen and been done to him, he believes that there is something like the Ultimate Good, the place God's plan is truly realised and he believes that that place is Heaven. It's not the system's fault, it's the angels who made the decisions and even those aren't evil (because Angels Are Good) they are misguided or clueless or uneducated etc. Aziraphale clings to this world view and he always has done so - he's even in s2 adamant that Heaven Is Good and Hell Is Evil.
So of course he would want to be in charge, to change Heaven the way he always felt it should be.
And of course he'd want Crowley there; to an extent Crowley is his standard of who Angels/ Heaven should act/be - kinder than anyone no matter the circumstances.
So I do think his offer was heartfelt, was supposed to be their triumph as a couple, to be able to be part of a whole but also together, where they belong and where they can make things better for the humans they're both so fond of.
Even his reaction to Crowley disagreeing to go fits perfectly in what we know of him - we get pretty much the exact same reaction when Crowley refuses to help with Gabriel: a plea, an earnestly expressed desire to do it with Crowley but just as earnest obstinacy to go at it alone if Crowley doesn't want to join him.
So all in all while that last scene breaks my heart and makes me want to shake him it fits so well into the Aziraphale we've come to know that I can't find myself being mad at it.
