HIII it's me again :D glad to hear you're doing well!! I hope life is being kind to you <3
of course, take your time to get to this part of the story!! I hope you end up liking sabo as well !! and get ready for the heartbreak of marineford... no really, get a few tissues because there are gonna be tears
coming back to the au, your ideas continue to amaze me, I swear I had this exact expression of shock 😲 reading everything, ITS SO GOOD !!! it's very in character for whitebeard to want to take responsability of blackbeard's actions and appear to help luffy, and of course shanks is going to help his boy (also, don't wanna spoil too much, but he gets there late for reasons and IMAGINE him seeing he failed to protect the sweet boy he was confident would become the new king of the pirates, that he passed his precious hat to... he'd be blaming himself so hard and I'm here for it!)
now that's pretty much what happens in canon, but throw in the revolutionary army in the mix?? PERFECTION !!! of course Dragon would want to save his son, so it'd make sense for him to send some people to help, and who better than the boy he trained himself, sabo? there's no way that could go wrong, right ^^ (it's going to go terribly!)
the idea of sabo meeting with his brothers but not recognizing them... acting like strangers... then gaining back his memories... being right there seeing with his own eyes when it all goes down and not being able to do anything about it, to save his little brother (who he's just starting to remember is his little brother at all)... and worse, thinking he lost BOTH of them at once, right when he got his memory of them back... I'm going insane just thinking about it !!! the guilt this boy feels in canon is already off the charts, imagine in this scenario in which he was THERE and still it didn't change a thing and his baby brother died right in front of him??? he's gonna be consumed by it, probably won't feel worthy of daring to show his face to ace after everything and trying to isolate himself to wallow on his guilt and self-hatred... we love emotionally unstable blorbos in this house!! god help koala and olivia who will have to deal with this mess. and then sabo and ace will have no choice but to meet in dressrosa and that's! gonna be fun! not for them... but for us it will!
THE KOBYFICATION OF DEUCE. YOUR BRAIN IS HUGE!!!! THIS IS GENIUS!!! deuce running his anti marine propaganda newspaper is so important to me... him joining the revolutionary army... it's everything I could ever ask for... and the acedeuce beloveds... with the added bonus of that awkward moment when your coworker/boss is your crush's brother AND your crush's mother figure is also your coworker and hears you gush about him
isuka mention !!! she's such a cutie, glad to see she's here too !! also her taking the role of ace's marine rival is just perfect
sorry I got way too excited with this but your au is just way too amazing <3 thank you once more for sharing your ideas!!
🐝
I’m so sorry I took so long to respond to this.
I’m very afraid of getting to Marineford. My mental health can’t deal with the stress at the moment.
But yes you get it. Sabo and Ace working together to save Luffy without realizing it.
Like Ace just wants to get Luffy out of Impel down and this masked loser is slowing him down. How dare he!
Meanwhile Sabo has the biggest headache (particularly from his memories trying to resurface) because Ace is the most reckless person to ever live. He’s going to get them caught! Stop attacking everyone!
These two just can’t work together because Ace is in panic mode and this person who is only here to save Luffy because Dragon sent him can’t possibly understand the stress Ace is under. How important Luffy is.
Sabo (at the time) doesn’t get it. He needs to get his bosses son out of here. He gets that his adopted older brother is emotional but just calm down and think!
Later Sabo, with all of his memories will look back at this time and wonder. If I had let Ace rush it. If we were both fighting desperately for our little brother, could we have gotten to Luffy in time?
Even later when the meet at Dressrosa and Ace puts together just who the Masked loser in impel down was. When he realizes it was Sabo who “slowed him down” (kept him alive!) he has no idea how to feel. Enraged (why didn’t Sabo care about Luffy) confused (this couldn’t be their brother) desperate (one of his brothers is here, he’s not alone) upset (where was Sabo the past two years? Past 12? Ace needed him! Luffy needed them!) and fury (Luffy will never get to be with both his big brothers every again. He died think Sabo was gone)
Needless to say Ace has a lot of BIG feelings the day Sabo walks back into his life.
Back to Deuce!
I love him so much. His anti-marine paper is so important to me to. Like his dream is to be a writer. Let him write. Let him tell the world exactly what the Marines and pirates do. Let him tell the world about liberated countries and the injustices of the world government.
People say he’s afraid to show his face and that’s why he wears a mask and uses a fake name. But Deuce has never been more himself. He’s never been truer to himself than when he goes by the name Ace gave him.
He tells everyone how amazing the reverse strawhats are. And you best believe when Ace’s lineage gets out he’s writing about not only Ace’s character (how he saves people because he wants to, how no man should be judged by who their father is) but he’s doing his research on the original pirate king and just destroying all the lies the world government circulated about him. The public conscious changes. Roger’s wasn’t a horrible person, in fact he helped a lot of people. And even if he wasn’t should they really hold a son accountable for his father?
(This is after Luffy’s death and you best believe Deuce dragged the Marines for filth over that. The public knows Luffy as a 16 almost 17 year old who never left his home island. Sure he was a bit wild but everyone liked him. He never hurt anyone. And yet the government killed him because of what his father, who he never met, had done. Deuce ran them over the coals. He couldn’t stop what happened at Marineford. The revs wouldn’t even let him go to fight (he was to important by then) but he’s not going to have the last picture Ace has of his little brother be the one the papers ran with Luffy dying in Ace’s arms. Every piece he writes about Luffy he tries to find an old photo from Dawn island or Dragon’s surveillance to attach to the article. It drives home that he was just a boy, while also giving Ace new picture of his precious brother to cherish.
Speaking of Acedeuce. Deuce suffers those two years Nico Olive is there. It’s already awkward enough that Sabo, who has heard him talk about how down bad he is for Ace for two years, turns out to be Ace’s brother. But Nico Olivia? He never knows peace.
On one hand it’s nice. She helps him write his pieces about Luffy. (Ace told a lot of stories during their 3 years together) in exchange she gets a nice copy of every picture they find of Luffy and Ace from Dragon’s surveillance (he definitely had people watching over his boy) she collects them to give to Ace when they reunite.
On the other hand, she is relentless. Constantly teasing Deuce about his crush. (She’s met him before. In the early days of his paper before he was recruited by the Revs.) constantly asking when he was going to ask her captain out? When the wedding would be? Should he be joining the crew once they were official?
Deuce thinks she’s just teasing him. And he could live with it, if she didn’t make it sound like Ace wanted him to. (Baby is in hard core denial that his feelings could be returned)
Nico Olivia does not see herself as cruel. She is asking honest questions. To her (and the crew) Ace’s crush on Deuce was obvious. The question was never Ace’s feelings but Deuce’s though Olivia knew from the way Deuce wrote about Ace that he must have feelings for her captain, it was nice to have it confirmed by the other Revs. (Koala makes fun of Deuces crush at all times, especially now that it makes Sabo squirm because that’s HIS big brother they are talking about!) to Olivia she can’t see why the two boys wouldn’t get together. (After Ace has had time to grieve and process his loss of course)
Her captain deserves good things. He early lets himself want, believing he does not deserve the goodness of the world. Olivia violently disagrees. She wants her boy happy. And Deuce is a great young man who would make her boy happy. Sure she might be a little pushy, but she’s not getting any younger. Excuse her for wanting to see her kids get married before she dies. (She’s not dying anytime soon, but she will use guilt to her advantage if it will make these two knuckle heads get it together sooner rather than later)

Hey traditional TTRPG game designers. Hey, you. Yeah you. Look at me.
Stop including mechanics that remove player engagement.
What do I mean by this? I mean shit like stunning effects that prevent a character from taking actions and therefore remove a player's ability to continue to participate, abilities that knock out a player character and therefore remove the player from participating in a fight, effects that instantly kill a character (therefore removing a player from participating), and literally any other effect you can think of that ends in the player no longer playing.
Trad designers, our artform is dependent on player participation. People enjoy maximalist, crunchy, tactical games because they're fun to engage with. What's the point of having all these rules if you're going to include things that stop your players from using them??
You're gonna say "oh, but only D&D does this" - no it fucking does not. These rules are everywhere. They're even in Blades in the Dark. Stop it.
Here are some cool alternatives. I'm trying to present these as open ended as possible:
Force a choice between two actions
You can't attack this enemy, but you can attack another, make a movement action, or any other non-attack action
Present a hard bargain
Attacking this enemy means you choose between taking a certain amount of damage or accepting emotional attachment to them, causing issues later.
Present high risk and high reward
Attacking this enemy means incurring extra damage against you if you hit, but if you succeed, you gain a stat boost for the rest of the fight.
Consider stakes other than character death
In many instances this will require rules reconfiguring, but that's a topic for another post. Besides that, remember that if someone's character gets instantly killed in the first round, that player must then sit on their hands for the rest of the session.
Yeah I know "let them play an NPC" is often a "solution" to this problem, but why do that when you could just implement a rule that lets other PCs get the downed character back to the fight - like in Borderlands or Left4Dead (or Gears of War or Vermintide, or...)
Consider how much more exciting that is, and how much energy won't be lost by someone having to literally sit out while all their friends have fun. Furthermore, players make much more interesting and risky decisions when they aren't at risk of losing their blorbo.
The point is to play. Nothing else. Stop shooting yourself in the foot with your own rules.

good [insert time of day here] i realised i never thought to ask you amid my delight of you being the most interactive follower i have that isnt an irl friend do YOU have ocs or blorbos. i wish to know. for reasons.
OH hello yes thank you for asking!!! I have several OCs but most of the time I simply Do Not Explain on here; I have lots of ideas and doodles but I make it mostly for myself and don't think to share — doesn't mean I don't want to tho! exhibit A: this absolutely massive post I'm about to make lmao. putting it under a read more bc Oh Boy, the floodgates have been opened
most of my OCs are for two different projects I have: The Visitors and my D&D Dark Star Campaign.
The Visitors is just a lil worldbuilding project I've been chewing on for.... oh wow, over a decade at this point??? I love all the OCs I have in there very very much, but they're definitely never intended to go in an actual story, I just enjoy the speculative biology and character / world building process.
Val is one of my oldest OCs, and she's changed SO MUCH over the years! nowadays, she's a sort of insect/dinosaur mashup alien who uses gravity warping magic and a very large axe to hunt demons. a huge issue for magic users of her species is keeping cool, as magic generates heat and can literally cook you from the inside out, so you'll notice the multiple vent-like spiracles across her body for this purpose. she was born blind and so relies heavily on her best friend, Django, to be her eyes and keep her safe. fortunately, Django has Too Many Eyes. he's a dragon genetically engineered by those in Val's species to be the perfect vessel for storing and releasing massive amounts of mirror-based magic. this kind of magic gives him many abilities, including seeing around corners, creating illusions, or multiplying attacks when applied in different ways, and he acts as Val's seeing-eye dragon. in battle, she likes to get up in the action while he holds back and gives her cues on what's happening, only jumping in himself if she's in major trouble. she's very friendly and excitable, and loves to get into the culture of whatever planet they're visiting, while he's more interested in observing and snooping. there's a lot of espionage and hijinks.
these are some of my most recent sketches of them, tho I'm sure the designs will changes in the future. specific colors don't matter at all, it's all about vibes! not pictured in the halfway colored one is Val's big iridescent black cape thing that has a slit down the middle for her rigid tail, nor her weird arms since I wanted to figure out where the torso vents could go.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Duke is another Visitor who visits planets and solves problems, but his path to get there was a whole lot different! I made him up as a coping mechanism when I was 12, and I'm still very fond of him.
he started life as a human video game speedrunner and modder prodigy. in a "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" situation, a devil (very distinct from demons!) struck a deal with him, challenging his gaming abilities with his soul as the stakes. he won despite the devil's cheating, but that's where the resemblance to the song ends. in this world, a devil winning your soul allows them to fuse with you and gain total control over your body, mind, and actions; but if YOU win, the control is reversed! and like any 14 year old who suddenly has the power to rival minor gods and a chaotic creature living in their head.... he goes off the rails for a while. Val and Django eventually find him and help him cope. his powers include electricity, glitching reality, flailing his glaive around, and being a menace to evil overlords.
you can't see it very well in this picture, but his eyes and the segments between his tail glow lime green! I'm not a fan of drawing clothes, but in my head he's relatively fashionable for a teenager and refuses to wear anything other than black. also, he decided to tell me he was trans a couple years ago, thanks for letting me know buddy 😂
Tumblr media
my other project does actually get to see the light of day, if very slowly — I'm running a homebrew D&D campaign for my irl friends called the Dark Star Campaign! none of em use tumblr so WHEEEE I get to post all the spoilers I want! there's a kinda staggering amount of lore behind it and a ton of minor OCs, but the two I rotate in my head the most are Anya the Timekeeper and The Master, aka Armageddon.
Anya the Timekeeper is a chronomancy lich from an alternate universe! she used to help Armageddon travel the multiverse and gain power, but she's decided she's tired of being evil, and now hides in a mansion on a tropical island where she breeds dinosaurs for fun. though she's now very determined to help the party, they'll eventually have to kill her past self to prevent a paradox. her familiar is a little archaeopteryx named Trix who steals hats!
Tumblr media
(I commissioned this art from @/goodlouse a while ago! highly recommend checking out his blog!!)
Armageddon is the BBEG and he's SO EVIL and SO MUCH FUN. he's an ancient amethyst dragon who, up until a while before the campaign's beginning, was steadily finding alternate universe versions of himself, killing them, and eating their souls to gain Unlimited Power™. unfortunately, his partner in time (hah) Anya told him to fuck off, so the quest for Unlimited Power™ has been kinda slow lately. fortunately, a D&D campaign started, and he cheated his way into existing at the players' table as The Master! my players can ask to talk to him sometimes, and I'll put on a mask of his head I made specifically for this purpose — very useful for not breaking character when the character is supposed to literally be the one sitting at the table talking to the players. I don't try to hide the fact that he's evil and they all know it, the fun is in giving them little hints and tidbits of lore to munch on. right now he's being very docile and helpful but things will get very very interesting eventually as more of his nature and plan is revealed..... =)
I'm still playing around with what he looks like as The Master, but I really like this recent design I did. his eye glows dark and menacing. I haven't found a design for his dragon form I'm really pleased with yet tho :/
Tumblr media
okay wow thanks again for the ask, I have many many ideas in my head and it felt pretty nice to get em out!!

wilbur hates the wilderness survival adventure. tomys says it's time to suck it up and try. his paranoia then tomys being like *checks nonexistent watch* can we do fire things now. wilbur just broke down .2 seconds in and tomys 'i've done this randomly lost in the wilderness before' ione finds the wood. ah this is great. shows cool character things as well as a little forced bonding already fantastic.
'When i was a kid", Wilbur bit back the urge to remind him he was still a child' the banter is there i can feel it. not there yet but ah well i can dream.
the leg. yeah tomys is way more experienced than wil in this at least in terms of how to handle a wound. but of course the history shit helps - great 'application of skills' wilbur. techno would be proud. anyways splint making time.
'i'm not going to leave you willum' aw thanks tommy. promoting the brotherly bonding i see. yeah it's because he saved your life but you're just a kind boy and trying to tell paranoia supreme over here that you're dragging him back there.
wilbur keeps getting surprised. bro you brushed him off basically immediately as a naive mischievous little brat. only you to blame for that part. then you jump into finally seeing him as being worth the effort in getting close because you had to actually be in a life-threatening situation to truly start the bonding. try seeing beyond your own self-gain for a little bit.
ayo phil POV???? man this guy in general is my favourite, like yeah i appreciate the well-written wilbur but phil's always gonna be my blorbo no matter how fucked up he is. my mans loves his kid. ooooh boy whoever sent the bandits is fucked now. phil's going to tear them apart haha. - :D
man when you phrase it like that it really is hilarious. wilbur really did just break down and lose his mind .2 seconds into being lost in the wilderness. tomys is 13 and handling this shit better than the 19 year old. he's such a cushy palace kid 😭
oh the banter will get there
see kids history tests can be very relevant to the real world
"paranoia supreme" 😭😭
to be fair wilbur wasn't just dismissing tommy for being a little shit (although that was a lot of it) but also because he's been supporting niki for the throne his entire life. he's definitely been peeved at the idea of the plans the two of them have had since childhood being ruined so quickly
PHIL POV YESSSS I really do love writing in his pov he's such a fun character to explore and rose!phil is especially interesting for me. phil's going to kill a bitch for this :)

I’m late Fareeha, but let me ask you the same questions you asked me except for Damian!!
10, 18, 23, 44, 49
And maybe just for fun, 1 for Kuja!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
You can't even imagine how cool that you asked 1 for Kuja! xd I don't have any headcanons for him, because my hyperfixation for FF9 went through when I was 5! And Kuja isn't really my blorbo, I like him, but really love general Beatrix and Dagger and Steiner...! FF9 means a lot to me. I play videogames since age of 4 and only two games in my life made me want to dig into their world, learn about it everything, live there mentally, love ALL characters - and they are Bloodborne and Final Fantasy IX. There are many games that I like, adore or something but these two.... Ah....
BUT(T) I HAVE ONE THING IN CANON THAT I REJECT(ED EARLIER) in FF9
So here's a story
I played FF9 first time when I was 4 or 5 and my mom was teaching me how to read with this game! She said "If you want to understand what they are saying, you need to read yourself!" and I really started to read! She helped me a lot but I did my best because I loved characters and the game really much... Very smol Fareeha was enjoying the story when the man appeared on the screen:
Tumblr media
I was like *GASP* >:0
And I was VERY confused why does he look like THIS, WHAT THE HELL is on his HIPS. I said then that he is NASTY and was so embarassed and shocked xddddd My mom laughed, she was expecting me to like him because he looks attractive xD Later I finally accepted his look but still.... wtf is on his hips..... xDDD
Okay, now about Damian :'D
10 Best moment on the screen..... xD
He appears 3 times in the game as a phantom and I like them all? I suppose the most tragic is the one when we call him to defeat Rom... I don't know maybe they never knew each other, but in my headcanons he decides to kill her because wants Yharnam's nightmare to end and to fix what Micolash did by helping the player... It's painful for him to kill her and shall I mention that he may kill Yurie also if player wants so? I think Spider Rom realises everything what is going on she just knows that it needs to happen, that's why she fights us - to test us if we are really the one who will end the Nightmare like many bosses in souls-like games do... T_T
18 What they’d go to see a therapist about
He would totally talk about all the shit he did in the School of Mensis and OF COURSE about Micolash whom he trusted everything as well as his own life without any hesitation...
23 Scented candle. I am very specific and picky about them and if I would like to think about Damian with the burning candle... It would be a orange scented candle!
Tumblr media
He loves oranges in my headcanons and bought them from a caravan seller from southern lands which visited Yharnam once in three months <3
44 Q_Q Happiest memory - I will tell from my own vision of Damian's life? Since we don't know anything about Damian for sure, I just live in my own vision of all Bloodborne lore. I think it's the moment when he got to know Micolash closer in Byrgenwerth and realised that Mico is the one who he wants to care for, make him happy and give everything from himself. When he mutually fell in love but there was no violence, experiments, madness, just a time when Micolash was curious young student and Damian was a librarian... There were no ambitions and lethal plans, only casual problems and college routines, science and romantic...
And one more happy memory - when he was a Tomb Prospector and was teaching Gremia how to read! Among all of horrors of chalice dungeons that they explored, Research Hall experiments and Micolash who digged into observation of the sea, Damian felt very lonely, tried not to think about what is going of with people in Research Hall. He couldn't do anything with that at all or help them - it would mean to betray Micolash.
And then he gained a chance to take his mind off his problems! He just spent cozy evening with Gremia showing him how to spell letters and words, how to read fast. They were joking, having fun and kissing and... <3 (I have headcanon that Gremia was growing up on Yharnam's streets and earned money for life with fighting with bets. He didn't know how to read and write because it's all for "rich people" who can afford books at least. So he had problems with the Church which wanted Tomb Prospector to read and learn prayers... lol...)
49 I think his favourite toy was plushie bunny! Old, with button-like eyes, dusty, but loved by little Damian. I have no idea why but it's a strong headcanon. I have a vision of his childhood and that he had little brother named Irzhie. Irzhie was constantly ill and died at the age of 4. Irzhie died while sleeping and little Damian didn't understand that he is dead he thought that Irzhie was sleeping. And little Damian was just playing for his ill brother making a little theatre out of toys and his favourite plushie bunny. He learned the truth from parents later and couldn't realise what happened... Small kids can't understand what is death it's hard for them to realise that the person will never move or talk again... I think Damian's toy is buried with Irzhie T_T
Sorry for amount of headcanons, I really was excited to share my vision...

do you perhaps have more hcs of your ghost grim reaper cole au? 🫣🫣honestly kinda obsessed with the idea
Thanks for asking!! I have a fuckton of ideas I just didn’t have much time this past week or so to think lol
First, some bonus angst for Cole’s character because I like my blorbos wet and pathetic
Since he’s just one guy for an entire realm, his job isn’t to guide all departed souls to the Departed Realm, only those who are either lost or reluctant to leave. This of course mostly includes those who died early or “have an unfinished business” as they say. Cole’s very first “client” was a ten-year-old girl whom he met at a children’s hospital (which definitely left a permanent mark on him)
Due to the previous point and the general nature of his job, he’s very reluctant to do what he has to do at first, but over time realizes that without him, a lot of these departed souls (already traumatized by their deaths) would be left to wander aimlessly on their own, with no help whatsoever. Thus over time he accepts his fate and focuses on trying to be as helpful as possible
He isn’t one to run from a fight but he knows how hard it can be to accept one’s mortality, and so his first and foremost tool is talking and persuasion, and he only uses force if absolutely necessary and/or others are threatened
His most needed skill therefore is to be able to gain the trust of others as fast as possible, thus he does his best big brother impression he can do with strangers (my headcanon is that he’s basically the mama dragon of the group, like how he was the closest to baby/kid Wu in Hunted). At the same time, he’s terrified of forming lasting bonds with anyone, leaving him in the awkward position where he doesn’t want to push people away by being an asshole in fear of hurting them, but doesn’t want to let people close either in fear of getting his own feelings hurt
When he got turned into a ghost, he was still on bad terms with his father, and so didn’t think to tell Lou what happened. He only realized later that to his father, he lost not one but two close family members in a very short timespan; Cole then immediately went home to explain, only to realize that his father now thinks he’s also dead. He decided the truth would hurt his father a lot more and so Cole never returned home
He spends whatever free time he has exploring Ninjago, especially the dangerous places he wouldn’t be able to reach as a mortal. Other times, he could be found sitting on rooftops, watching the people go on their days, and listening to music he thinks his mother would’ve listened to
Second, a bit about his powers (aside from the general ghost stuff)
I have this headcanon that deepstone sends ghosts specifically back to the Cursed Realm (mostly because there’s nothing to prove it otherwise), and therefore there’s an opposite material that sends ghosts specifically to the Departed Realm. (Water sends ghosts to the Realm they are normally supposed to be in.) In my version of Ninjago there’s a mountain range called the Misty Mountains, the name coming from the mist always covering its peaks and so thick that no ghost can penetrate it. The opposite of deepstone, a bright white mineral called skystone, is found within its caves, and it’s also what Cole’s scythe is made of
There’s a secret path where the mist is thin enough for ghosts to pass through leading to the highest peak, but only Cole knows where it is. The peak is also where he meets up with the embodiment of the Departed Realm to ask for direction/orders/advice/whatever he needs at the moment.
Cole also has a special piece of clothing called the Cloak of Disguises. Its primary function is that it can make Cole appear mortal, though for every minute he uses the disguise he has to let it cool down for twice as long, and he cannot use it for more than 24 hours straight. It also gives him some protection against water, making him more resilient than other ghosts, but he's still not fully immune.
He mostly uses the disguise when he needs to interact with mortals so as not to scare them, though after a particularly bad incident with a ghost hunter he tries to be upfront about his nature so that they can’t accuse him of tricking them (hence why the ninja immediately learn he’s a ghost when they first meet)
Thanks to his connection to the Departed Realm, he has an ability I like to call Fast Travel. This allows him to immediately appear near to a lost departed soul without the need for physical travelling, and he can even teleport on his own to whatever destination he desires, though the latter can be very unpredictable and so he usually doesn’t risk it
That’s all that came to mind for now. But dw I’m still very much rotating him in my microwave of a mind, so there’s always place for more ideas hehe >:D

I come onto this blog to post this one image of Them, the blorbos, and then leave once more. Extended ramble about these two under the cut.
(Bishop (top right) is @caffeinatedwriters's character, and Hybrid (bottom left) is my character :D)
The GM keeps being like "How do you have that much harm?" every time I mention a Tier 1 Harm becomes a Tier 2 Harm on Hybrid's sheet. It's because all of my downtime goes to stress reduction and I simply Do Not Perceive its two Tier 1 Harms (currently, at the moment, Hybrid has one saving Bishop from Ghost-Salia and another from ritual shenanigans).
Bodyguard is a very useful ability that I yoinked from another playbook, now I can gain Even More Harm and have a decent chance of actually clearing 1 stress in the process (unless it's under Resolve, in which case L + Ratio + 1d Resolve attribute rating). The small shred of Hybrid's humanity left also wants to protect Bishop (and the others but mainly Bishop) for saving him from monstrous insanity.
Bishop also ends up on the floor too though because he's got the job of snapping his mind in two to prevent the rest of the party from gaining more trauma (as well as himself, given he's in a state of sudden death with trauma now). But he's a hypocrite and gets roasting privileges because, to be fair, Hybrid did say that it was going to try to find their balance and went in the opposite direction of that.

With every "!!" I get, I'll introduce you to an OC!
Today's blorbo thoughts are all about Andvir, my first and only firbolg (for now)!
Tumblr media
(portrait for his initial campaign - "The Sunless Citadel")
nyx (@eldritch-goth) and I were given free reign to create a community and a pair of twins, so we made Andvir (he/they) and Sindri (any/all), our first firbolg OCs/PCs!
Below the cut, I have the entire backstory I wrote for him based upon a D&D 5e background (Haunted One) and a rolled Harrowing Event.
(t/w; c/w: parental death, blood, major emotional trauma, possession, extreme violence)
Andvir (Andi) and Sindri (Sin) grew up together in a firbolg-only community a few days travel from an average city. The community was very insulated and didn’t often interact with outsiders, but would accept traders and adventurers (with coin or goods) of all varieties.
Andi and Sin were very close, only separating on occasion when Andi would help with the manual labor of the farms and Sin would spend time with her ‘imaginary’ friends. • One day, an adventurer with a strange eyepatch appeared. There appeared to be some sort of sigil on the eyepatch, but no one in the community recognized it. He had goods to sell though, meats and rare potion ingredients galore, so he was welcomed.
Andi and Sin were entranced by the strange man, following him around town for two days while he visited with locals and traded his wares. The two thought they heard whispers following the man, but any mention of this to an adult was quickly written off as another of Sindri’s games.
On the third day, Andvir grew bolder. He tried to steal a small statue from the adventurer’s belt, but this was his biggest mistake. As soon as he touched the little idol, strange voices filled his head, speaking in terrifying, otherworldly sounds. He fell to the ground screaming and was soon taken home to rest by some of the other community members.
The adventurer planned to leave the following morning. He never got the chance.
Andi snuck out of his house that night, a fire in his eyes. He’d taken his father’s greatclub with him. Then only twelve, the firbolg snuck into the hut housing the odd adventurer and beat his head in with the club.
Sindri awoke to screaming, but not screaming that they could hear with their ears. No, she heard her brother as if he was standing beside her, but the sound seemed to be only in her head. She ran out of her family’s home, screaming for her brother, and awakening not only her parents but the rest of the community.
Sin was the first to find the bloody scene in the guest’s hut. Andvir was playing in the blood, speaking to himself in Infernal, his greatclub abandoned. Before the others arrived, Sin managed to gain Andi’s attention by speaking only in his head, and soon the twins were crying together. Andi had been returned to himself, if only for the moment.
Andi told Sin about the eyepatch, the dreaded thing that the fiend now possessing him hated most. Naturally, Sin grabbed for it amidst the gore, fitting the nasty thing onto their brother’s head. • Soon after, the rest of the community arrived. Both the twins were now covered in blood, and both volunteered as the murderer. Both, and their parents, were chased out of town.
The four were on the run for years. Unfortunately, when Andi got very worked up, the fiend inside him would temporarily break loose, attacking whatever was closest to him. The group ran from each town they’d hide out in when this would happen, but the third time this occurred, Andi and Sin’s parents were the victims.
The twins were seventeen by this point, more than old enough to handle themselves in the eyes of humans – though they were still young by firbolg standards. Still, they managed to make it through a few more years on their own. Andi was now bulky enough to wield his father’s greatclub and chain shirt, while Sin had developed new and strange magics. They worked together as common adventurers from then on.
The two live to heckle each other, even on sensitive topics, but no one else is allowed to speak ill of the other’s sibling. They will always have each other’s backs.
===
Long story short, he's a very tragic boy. XD During the course of The Sunless Citadel, his secret was discovered by his impromptu party and later, his possession was resolved.
nyx and I still write a bunch with him and Sindri, including pairing Andi with a captured guardsman found in the dungeon they explored during The Sunless Citadel (named Caleb) and the tortured elf Ekko (who is after the demon that inhabits Andi). Ekko has promised to kill him if the demon should ever take full control/hurt innocents, but both Ekko and Caleb fell for the soft and sweet Andi, who really just wants to help everyone he meets and protect his twin.
we like to make jokes that the demon bangs pots and pans when it angy c:
Tumblr media
(unfinished full reference sketch)
I headcanon that he carries a domesticated mimic chest (it's not on his sheet tho lmao; it's just a chest technically) as well as his father's greatclub (though he chooses to use the halberd). the symbol on his eye patch is the symbol of Pelor, who he does not follow, but does respect for the power provided to hold back the demon rattling around in his brainpan.
ty for the ask, daisy!!!

Bro I don't even know the names of all your blorbos. Give me the character master mega post!!! I have trouble with names + faces so I'd love a guide to who's who with a little bio about them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
OKAY HERE'S AS MANY OCS AS I COULD FIT HERE LOL I was gonna color this but there's so many i don't think i could. with all the names put out here, you could look them up on my blog and find other pieces of art i've done of them. (though some have no pieces up here yet)
i'm gonna try adding bios to all the characters under the cut :) thank you for sending in this ask and giving me a chance to share!
FOTC Main Story
Vincent - the unwilling protagonist to the story. used to be a legendary hero but people don't know its him without the helmet. adoptive father to Marco. quiet and reserved.
Tony - an ex-Order knight, married to Adrianne. he joins the party along with his husband. kind of a himbo.
Adrianne - a famous duelist who quits dueling to join the party, with an aim to save Marco and dismantle the government. married to Tony. very eccentric.
Marco - The Little Prophet, granted reality-altering powers by the Cosmos. escaped the Headmaster and is now trying to find out what he wants to do with his life as well as avoiding people who want to use his powers for their own gain.
Side Charas
Jackson - hitman that's currently working for the Order. i can't actually talk too much about him since he's in d&d campaign and that would be spoilers. he's stoic and neurotic.
Jacob - driver for Chattering Inc. henchman for Chatterbox. he works with Bagboy to deliver packages. he's also a zombie, essentially. though he keeps a good attitude about it
Anne (Bagboy) - does delivery for Chattering Inc. she's the one that moves the packages around. she's trying not to get too involved with the company since she knows they get kinda shady, but hey it pays well. pretty cheerful and pleasant to be around.
Tío - its honestly kind of hard to describe his role. people just know them as a strange figure that keeps people from going too deep into the Kyorian Jungle. a mysterious, powerful user of magic.
Sammy - a proficient wizard, and Vincent's lost twin sister. she hides away in a tower and studies the imbalances of the Cosmos, hoping to find a fix to its ills. she's very smart, but a bit unhinged at times.
Chatterbox - an avatar and CEO of his own company. is as trustworthy as a used car salesman. no one knows what shady deals he's getting up to.
Amy - an avatar and keeper of a magical library, which he's bound himself to in order to keep it safe. calm and collected, if not quite lonely.
Kyrvon
(those bios were really long so i'll just talk about what stories these characters belong to)
Little Knight & Big Guy - i run the ask blog with them! there IS a whole story planned i just have to get to it!
Salvadore & Garcia - an ex-Order knight and a mercenary. they both travel around and try to help out the Kyorian resistance wherever they can.
Little Ironhide - no story or really a character planned out i just draw them over and over and gave them an honorary spot on the blorbo list.
Ricardo & Alouiscius - i'm making an RPG maker game with them :D you'll hear more about it soon!!
Solar Austus & Swordsman Ciel - two npcs for a series of oneshots im running!
Max - has a tragic beginning that leads to a tragic end, i haven't really done much with him other than ship him with a friend's oc :')
Other Settings (D&D)
Algas & Angel - oh god these two occupy my brain so much i don't even know where to start. they're for a friend's game and they're besties. things might go wrong in their story but since that campaign hasn't happened we just don't know! i've talked about their story on here before
Erol - for a campaign called Starfall! stupid little samurai who loves his friends so much. also definitely doesn't have a dark secret.
Willam - a Carcosan bard who i really wanna play! character voted most likely to betray the party
Daityas - a scientist who caused the destruction of his entire universe by summoning an old god that ate the whole thing. remnants of his magical experiments fucked him up forever after that. his campaign is ongoing!
Aubrey - a divination wizard who was tormented by prophetic visions. also had some issues with his ex that were eventually reconciled in-game
WOOO THATS EVERYTHING I PUT ON THIS PAGE! if you make it this far thank you so much for reading about my silly little ocs! :'D

LOVELYYYY OKAY SO . :) do u like the trafficsmps?? do you like the conflicts and wars that happen in smps in general?? then come watch lifesteal smp!!!!
it's been nicknamed the "deadliest smp" and if you were to ask me to carry the traffic comparison, i'd call it trafficsmp on drugs. /hj
the rules of the game are pretty simple:
you start with ten hearts. if you lose all your hearts, you're banned (until the next season, at least). you can gain hearts, though - any kill you get on a player takes one of their hearts, and gives it to you - so you can have well over ten, depending on how good you are. (one of the cc!s, clownpierce, at one point had like twenty-something during season 3)
there's not a MASSIVE overarching story, but there is enough lore and story to actually keep people that are into that interested; alliances made, betrayal cast, blah blah, you get the drill. certain thhings have actually been banned recently, like uhh. tridents got banned after season 2, because of things like a fight between clownpierce and another cc i forgot, in which the other cc just kept using a riptide trident to bounce back and forth between water spots and the fight went on for, uh, way too fuckin long because of it.
it's got four seasons so far!! certain ccs join later on. also theres a lot of gay people.
half of these people don't have playlists themselves, but fanbases have made them!! theyre just a little hard to track down. also @\renchant is working on uploading clownpierce's vods!!
there is also a fair amount of angst. the ending of season two made us cry like a bitch /hj.
as for ccs uh!!! some of our favourites are:
clownpierce, joined in season 2. is very into the clown motif, even built a circus and a funhouse in s3. absolutely one of the best fighters on the fucking server, like i said, at one point in s3 he had like twenty fucking hearts. sarcastic asshole kinda sometimes. gets shoved into a preconcieved "villain" role but honestly hes just a total dorkass trying to act intimidating /aff (< my clownpierce was also my husband in my canon)
roshambo (me!!), been here since the start. absolute fucking loser of a man im gonna be honest with you. the cc has a fucking obsession with poop jokes for some reason and has a semi-trend of "they call me the (xyz)" here whenever he does something well. i.e, "they call me the interior designer". theyre a little insane. /aff
mapicc!, also been here since the start. the best way i can explain this man is all the rage of a chihuahua in a human form. he is constantly starting fights and insulting people and making the most fucking unhinged statements you could ever imagine. i swear to god he has a death wish but its funny as fuck. (also roshambo and mapicc are A Pair. their name is dualityduo if anyone was curious :D)
planetlord, i do not remember off the top of my head when he joins, is the fucking server blorbo. everyone loves them. hes iconic. hes just A Guy. they are vibing and doing his fucking Best.
branzy, joins in the third season. fucking unhinged and amazing with redstone, he helps clown rig literal roulette machines and shit in a casino they build. not onyl that, he rigs it so that clown can fucking cheat the machines. hes amazing. he is also an absolute golden retriever of a man and we love him for it. big dork that is also absolutely terrifying. /vpos.
this concludes my advertisement of the lifesteal smp everyone should go and watch it because i think a good majority of the people on this blog would enjoy it tbh. also we want more lifesteal friends. /silly -ro
WAUHGh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /POS THANK U RO ^_^

🍓🍊🥝 :)
thanks for the ask! :D
🍓 What’s a fic you’ve written you feel is underrated?
Honestly, pretty much every fic I've ever posted, I've been pretty blown away by the response, with the exception of a couple which were kind of slow to gain traction, but even those amassed some very nice comments over the years :) I guess I was a little disappointed at the lack of response to the glitter dancing on the skin, but given that it's an obscure-ass rarepair from a Fire Emblem game that isn't 3H, I'm not surprised, lmao. Plus, the fic itself is quite short and ends a little abruptly so it's not like it's a masterpiece of mine, though I do still like it. (I deemed it fit to post, after all)
🍊 Who’s a character you don’t write for that often, but keep meaning to write for more? (They’re so interesting! But maybe you have trouble pinning them down, or keep getting distracted by another blorbo…)
Honestly, there are a lot of these 😅 I made like twenty false starts into a little sequel to that one MBS hurt/comfort fic I wrote, which was supposed to be from first Rhonda's POV, then Number Two's, then Milligan's, but I felt like I just could not get Rhonda's voice down for the LIFE of me... I even considered reversing the order so that I could at least get started on the fic but Rhonda really did make the most sense to be first lmao. TBH I think that was partially just an issue of tone, though, since the show is largely comedic even in its drama and the fic was going to be somewhat heavy lmao.
As for right now, the character I keep wanting to write for and then chickening out is Kotone from Persona 3, lmao. She's literally one of my all time faves but I feel like I always either end up flanderizing her as nothing but a bubbly manic pixie dream girl type character (which annoys me when other people do it, and yet i fall into that trap as well), or veering too far in the opposite direction and removing some of the genuine fun and cheer that's central to her character (even if I do believe that she's Extremely Depressed and Traumatized and that the cheerful exterior is often a facade, that doesn't mean her outward personality is fake, it's just not all there is to her.)
🥝 What’s your favorite trope/AO3 tag to write?
OOH, that one's HARD. There are so many tags of which I would consider myself a diehard aficionado 😭 But, ultimately, I feel like I definitely have to say either whump, angst, or hurt/comfort. I just love inflicting pain on my blorbos so much <3.

yeah if anybody was generally wondering where I’ve been this past (couple?) weeks. the answer is “getting sucked back into playing Tyranny during all my spare time”.
(bring-your-own-blorbo rambling below)
so - I’m partway through Act II; sided (so far?) with the Scarlet Chorus and have just finished up grabbing the Silent Archive out of the burning library. exchanging correspondence with my fellow Fatebinders. and I am just - rubbing my little hands together gleefully at the transition underway from “polite, dutiful, kind of nerdy and curious ~servant of justice!~” to “sneaky, mildly conniving and paranoid, power-hungry, semi-treasonous-but-still-loyal-to-Kyros-regarding-everything-other-than-forbidden-magic-for-me-personally-I-swear!!!” jackass protagonist >:D >:D >:D
because there’s just... something so very interesting that the game is doing in how it’s conveying worldbuilding information to you (the player) and you (the protagonist) at the same time - you start out assuming, ok, rival armies of Kyros, cool, wow these guys are acting unprofessional.... and then some conversation with the Voices of Nerat, among other things, and you increasingly gain the understanding - [the Chorus] isn’t a... top-down Imperial Army, exactly? neither of them are? this is “somewhat autonomous force created for Nerat’s own benefits, allowed to do whatever it feels like so long as it’s also aimed at Kyros’s overall goals, because Kyros just sort of eats up existing powers and turns them loose on their enemies? it’s the same with the two armies; it’s the same with the Archons writ-large - Archons develop independently, and then Kyros essentially leashes them. the conversations with Sirin about her history!! the various lines you can say about Kyros’s peace being about the benefit of the whole, not necessarily individuals! ....and then oh, you open up your mail from Fatebinder Myothis responding to your question about the rise of past and present Archons, and she’s like “at this point, regardless of whether others are naming it, I would consider you an Archon of the Spires” - f e a r !!!!!
so this whole sense of being.. precariously balanced on a knife’s edge, in a couple of ways. do I want power/do I want to be seen to be gaining more power/is it even safe to not gain more power now that I’m as known as I am/but then that’s surely going to trap me into a cycle of “only allowed to exist so long as I’m still being useful and nonthreatening”. and then... after originally going to the Vellum Citadel during the Conquest, on the vague feeling of “ooh library what if I can get anything cool out of being here --> nope actually you are going to burn it all now”, being literally sent back there and handed the entire Silent Archive on a platter!!! ...but how open can I even be about that. who do I trust. like it’s not all forbidden stuff but also, I do very much also want to keep the forbidden stuff. (and now I’ve proclaimed and ended two entire Edicts, and magically that feels... so good. powerful and addicting and I am thinking about more of them, that can of worms has been thoroughly opened. and also Eb’s comment when she pressed me about why I joined with the Voices in the first place, “well if raw, unmitigated power is what gets you off [disapproving]”....... How Much Do I Want To Navel Gaze At That Feeling, Really? :’) .........so yeah)
(oh and also, just Eb in general, is Not A Fan I think we shall say.... which is really pretty fair because I think she’s getting to see the main brunt of Ways In Which I’m Kind of A Jackass - not merciful at all toward any sort of enemy who doesn’t humble themself before Kyros. tactfully Not Saying Much about her anger toward the Sages for stealing other schools’ magical secrets, but like. she knows I would/do take the Sages’ side on that issue, and am basically inclined to do the same in their place. again, the entire fact of siding with the Voices (and frequently frequently wiggling out of condemning them..... not that they don’t do horrible things and also I disapprove of their entire army-running philosophy, but like. the disgust toward them seems so tangled up also in disgust toward what they do magically, and sure consuming minds is unsettling but it’s also. power. and kind of enticing. and we are not going to mention this at all nope definitely not.)
anyway yeah :D I’m having a lot of fun getting to be sorta fucked up and awful, and also going *grabby hands* at all the magical mysteries slowly unfurling so far :3
