Yenn is the WORST

I have no idea why the show Fandom has such a massive hardon for her...maybe because she is written to be a pretend ‘empowering bad ass strong woman’ but she’s prolly the worst character and the one I wanna see shot straight in the face. And I loved her with all my gay little heart in the books and games, so no I don’t just hate strong women in general. She’s written like a cunty slug.

She and Istredd are BOTH spying on each other for their respective masters and it’s only Istredd who seems a little torn up about the whole thing when he gives Yenn’s bloodline away. He hesitates, seems to have kept the info for longer than he should have and hadn’t given anything useful so far though he had a decent amount to work with (like her emotional state and power to teleport) yet she treats him like DIRT the second things don’t go her way. Sure, the info he gave didn’t get her the assignment she wanted but as he points out they were BOTH spies that happened to fall in love. Istredd also loves her as she is and has no issue being with her when she’s a hunch back. Pointing out that she ‘lost her chance to be beautiful’ but wants her to come be with him and be in love and happy just as they are. SHE CALLS HIM BORING AND STORMS OFF!!!!! 

When she goes to be transformed the (can’t remember his name so we shall call him) designer warns her about the consequences, asks her if she ‘knows the price’ right out and tries to get her to stop, to give him time to collect the herbs and even tells her he could get in trouble...so she insults him, says she understand the price and goes through with the whole damn thing. Yenn knows, she KNOWS she will never have children but she’s so obsessive and power hungry she dosn’t care. Cool, good on her. You don’t NEED a kid she can be power driven at all costs....but oh...OHOHOOHOH no...

Later while protecting a snotty queen and seeing that babies are cute I guess? She fucks up, get the kid killed and feels bad so now she wants one? She keeps trying to come up with goofy schemes to restore her womb and they never work and nearly gets herself killed, uses Jaskier as leverage and threatens to just let him die if she dosn’t get what she wants, uses mind control on Geralt so she can bully the people of the town and attack them getting him and an innocent elf sent to jail to be killed (and seems to have zero intention of getting them out so...) 

After Geralt tries to talk her down from having a baby she get’s pissy and starts spouting off that she never had a choice (which she did), that no one ever treated her fairly (which they did she was her masters fav...) and throws the Law of Surprise child in his face which Geralt never expected or WANTED. He didn’t in fact have a choice and Ciri is forced on him by magical destiny not by choice...pretty sure he made that damn clear by abandoning her altogether and trying to run from it. But Yenn treats it like Geralt knocked up his ex and is just a shitty dad...YIKESSSSSSSSS

Later she shows back up to  Istredd and flirts with him, telling him she missing him but still starts negging him about things he is CLEARLY passionate about, throws around the fact that she fucked like a BUNCH of people after breaking up with him, tries to ring him back into a toxic relationship and he SHOOTS HER DOWN. That was the most satisfying shit to watch. A man just say ‘look I loved the shit outta you and it destroyed me when you left...but you picked power and look where you are, glad you’re eyes are still pretty tho!’ 

Later she shows up at the guild, scares a bunch of girls and then teaches them how to mix herbs into drugs. NEAT, CHILDREN doin DRUGS! So fun! Goes on about how horrible the school is and how they turned her friends into eels...when she was the one who was super okay with it if it meant she could gain something. Spends the better part of the last EP insulting refugees who have nothing else and no where else to go. 

She get’s a bit of good screen time during the battle. Going back to that calm and collected character, worrying about others as well as herself and feeling real emotion for people getting hurt, fighting for something greater. THATS GOOD If they can keep writing her like that than great! I know shes a bit cold and selfish in the different media she’s in. She can be kinda bitchy and kinda blunt but she never felt childish to me. Never so selfish that she would damn other’s and throw tantrums. 

DO BETTER WRITERS. I love Yenn and I just wanna see her be...good!
