I HAVE MET THEM! I HAVE OFFICIALLY MET PETER CULLEN AND FRANK WELKER! I AM GOING TO TYPE OUT EVERYTHING I CAN REMEMBER EVEN THOUGH I AM EXHAUSTED BECAUSE THE PUBLIC MUST KNOW OF THEIR GREATNESS!

I waited in line for three hours and it was hot and stuffy but WORTH IT because I freaking MET THEM and they are ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!

Okay, okay, first of all, the second I turned the corner into the autograph room and saw them, I thought I would explode. I was bouncing and flapping my hands and just generally annoying the people around me but I did not care! The autograph session was only supposed to last until 3:30, but one of the staff members announced that Cullen and Welker had decided to book a later flight. Welker stood up and held his hands out saying “It’s okay! We are here to stay!” Everyone cheered.

When it was finally my turn, I could barely think straight. Cullen came first and asked, “What have we here?” in an Ironhide voice, so obviously it took me a moment to respond because I was geeking out so hard. I handed him my Best of Optimus Prime comic and asked him to make it out to me. I even said “Thank you, Mr. Cullen,” because I’m awkward like that. He looked at the cover and said “How about right across the mask, huh? In red!” and I just went “Yeaaahhhh!” and he signed it. Of course, he bid me farewell with a “Roll out!” and I remembered I wanted to wish him a happy belated birthday, so I did. He was very pleased that I’d remembered and gave me an enthusiastic “Thank you!”

Then I met Welker! Just like Cullen, he was super friendly and when I handed him my Best of Megatron comic, he was very intrigued. He even briefly flipped through it and showed it to the staff member beside him. When he eventually signed it, I expected him to just write his name and my name, but he also wrote a little “Megatron!” in the corner, which was absolutely incredible. I thanked him and he replied with “Thank you, young man!” He didn’t do any voice acting for me, but I watched him do his Scooby-Doo voice for some kiddos, who loved it almost as much as I did.

I had to pass by Peter Cullen on my way out, so I again thanked him and he waved. When I was back in the lobby, I was literally shaking all over. I couldn’t even get the comics back in their protective bags and had to ask someone else to do it. Cullen and Welker were literally everything I’d hoped for. They were kind and welcoming and so excited to meet their fans. I’d expected as much, given how they behave in the panels and interviews I’ve watched online, but I honestly wasn’t prepared for just how humble they are. They even posed for pictures even though the photo shoot session ended hours ago and they weren’t getting paid for it. They are truly the embodiment of “I’m just happy to be here!” and I love it.

I still can’t believe I actually got to meet them. I don’t know if I’ll ever recover. Probably not.

you and Vinelle have talked various times about the vampires being a violent species, many of them not surviving the first year etc. and take this for example as an argument for Carlisle having a gift, that he survived so long on his own

Why exactly do you think that? Cuz I reread Eclipse and Jasper tells Bella that Peter and Charlotte didn't get in any fights in the 5 years after they left the newborn army, even though they met tons of others

Was Jasper sugarcoating for Bella? I thought maybe Peter and Charlotte were similary scarred like Jasper is and other vampires were too afraid to try to fight them, but neither Bella in Breaking Dawn nor Edward in Midnight Sun mention this

Honestly, from what we see in all other circumstances, yes he was sugar coating or more accurately... not getting into nuances with Bella who wouldn't appreciate them.

Remember the time that the Cullens meet Victoria, Laurent, and James. Granted, they had Bella with them, but the situation is immediately tense on both sides. There's discussion on whether or not they've been eating in the Cullen territory.

I think that's probably how it goes for meeting most vampires. There's a song and dance where you assure whoever you're meeting that you're a) not a threat and b) not interested in their hunting grounds. Sometimes this goes well for you, sometimes it may not.

I'm sure Charlotte and Peter though were amazed in that it never broke out into a fight, where in the newborn armies this would have been a death sentence.

It was markedly better than before, but on the other hand there don't seem to be that many nomadic covens in North America (can't be or the death rate in Twilight would be through the roof) and as a result they're not having the same fights for territory.

I read that as Peter and Charlotte going "Wow, we met five whole people and none of them murdered us". And those five people... may or may not be alive by the time Breaking Dawn rolls around. In fact, I imagine most of the people they met at the time are now dead either from breaking the law and getting the axe from the Volturi or making an enemy of the wrong nomad/coven in and of themselves.

The vampires we meet in Breaking Dawn, Bella never got to see those who said "no" to coming and never did the recruitment speech herself. Bella sees the ones who already agreed to come and even then there was some anxiety about hunting grounds and what they might think of the wolves/Renesmee when they saw her up close.

The reason we noted Carlisle's situation as weird is he a) traveled much further than most vampires and b) acted fucking weird and tried to get them on a diet that sounds a lot like "poison yourself, it'll be a great time I promise!". That's a great thing to say to people who suspect you of being a thief the moment you enter their house.

I painted a portrait of his brother Larry for him and I’m so glad he liked it🥰 His lovely wife told my mother, who is also his fan and got to meet them, that they’re going to put it “in a place of honor” of their home. 😭 I’m just so happy I can’t even express it!

We All Owe Jake Foushee An Apology: Why I Don't Like VA Fanbases

Hello, Hola, こんにちは。

Welcome back to this side of the Hundred Acre Woods and I wanna ruin lunch today. You can thank Harriyanna Hook for that last bit akskskskksks.

If you know me by now, you know that I have the utmost respect for voice actors, especially those who embrace their roles in various Transformers media. They were the voices of our childhoods for a reason, and they deserve much better from the film and tv industry. I don’t have the generous feeling towards their hardcore stans.

Unfortunately, like everyone who has achieved a level of fame and success, their fanbases has a mix of good, sane fans and fans that make Misery look like a Disney movie. For some reason, when it comes to voice actors and Transformers, a good chunk of the fanbase has an overzealous mentality of, “there could only be ONE voice actor for one character.” If you know where this is going, you are correct. I am calling out the Peter Cullen stans today.

3, 2, 1, Pingu.

Bad Voice Direction Was The Problem, Not The Voice Actor

Before y’all ask, no, nothing happened to either Peter or the subject of today’s blog post today. This is just something I have been thinking about for a while now.

Do not get me wrong: Peter Cullen is a very kind and caring man who deserves all the accolades and praise for his work in Transformers for the past 39 years. Having met him in person earlier this year felt like meeting Santa Claus. He was genuinely that amazing. However…his fanbase is something else. The best comparison I could think of at the top of my head is the Beyhive, aka Beyonce’s fanbase. Like, at the same time, I’ve seen the best and very worst of this fanbase. The good is that I have made friends and acquaintances that share the same appreciation and adoration I have for PeePaw. The bad is that I have seen people who legitimately worship the ground this man stands on and will do anything to maintain him as the one and only Optimus Prime. Like, within a couple of new years, every time there’s a new Transformers show, take a good guess which part of the fandom shows up the most in the comments section, specifically when there’s an Optimus Prime.

“That’s not Peter Cullen, wtf.”

“I want Peter Cullen as this Optimus.”

“This new Optimus’ voice sucks, I want Peter Cullen back.”

These are the best summaries I can come up with when it comes to how y’all react whenever there is a new voice actor for Optimus Prime. Y’all did it with David Kaye when Animated came around, y’all did it with Alan Tudyk when Earthspark came around, but these pale in comparisons to truly the most crazy, awful moment when shit hits the fan: Jake Foushee, when Cybeverse and the WFC Trilogy came around.

For those who do not know who Jake Foushee is, he was the voice actor of Optimus Prime in Transformers Cyberverse and the War for Cybertron Trilogy. Before he was casted, he gained a fanbase due to his Optimus Prime impression and work as a Vine creator. In fact, it was an interview on the Ellen show that got him casted as Prime in the first place. The only off thing about his casting is that John Hasbro didn’t want to hire union voice actors for these two Transformers shows. Like…they damn well have the money to pay their voice actors, that’s something I’ll still hold John Hasbro accountable for to this day. Anyways, back to the main topic. I remember back when Cyberverse and the WFC Trilogy were airing, I see a surprising amount of people who harbor extreme reactions towards Jake Tillman’s voice acting as Optimus in these shows.

“The voice actor sucks as Optimus.”

“Ewww, wtf. This is just a bad impersonation.”

“Why won’t Hasbro bring back the REAL voice of Optimus Prime?”

Again, these are simply paraphrases of genuinely nasty ass comments about Jake that basically screams They Changed It, Now It Sucks. Notice that last paraphrase here. What does this remind you of? I’ll give you three seconds.

If you guess correctly, you are correct. A good chunk of the hate towards this voice actor is from the hardcore Peter Cullen purists, aka the #BringBackPeterCullen crowd. Like…did y’all forget the basic value of, “if you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all”? It’s not that fucking hard to say gross shit like this, like you’d be surprised at how many people often forget that these voice actors are real people. They’re real people who will read your hate comments, who will be hurt by your hate comments, and who will be discouraged from doing what they love because of your hate comments. When it comes to moments like this, it seems like y’all forgot the elephant in the room: the voice direction and script.

Cyberverse and the WFC Trilogy are a great way to show how much potential Jake Foushe has and how it will go wrong if it’s in the hands of a bad voice director and script. Cyberverse showed how utterly phenomenal Jake is as Optimus. In the first season, yeah, it was a bit rough around the edges. However, as the show goes on, he was given the direction to be himself rather than be a hardcore impression. His voice as Optimus has improved and it felt natural by the time we get to, “The Perfect Decepticon.” Compare his vocal performance in the third episode of Season One and the finale. It’s like day and night in the best ways.

However…then there’s the WFC Trilogy. For some reason, the voice direction and script set out to undermine Jake Foushee and the other voice actors of these shows as much as they can. As a result, it became the impression that y’all were quick to condemn Jake for. It felt like whoever was in charge of the voice acting for these three shows did not care about the implications of what they were doing with the voice direction. As a result, the nasty ass comments came and it eventually boiled to a point where after these shows ended, he doesn’t bring up his roles in them. I don’t blame him if it has something to do with the huge fan backlash to his casting as Optimus Prime.

Think Before You Speak: Fandom Brain Rot is A Curse

At this point, y’all just need to give up the whole #BringBackPeterCullen thing. It’s fine to feel upset over John Hasbro not giving him the respect he deserves around the hiring non union era. It’s fine to feel upset over John Hasbro not even bothering to ask him if he would like to come back as Optimus. However, it does not give you the excuse to be a shitty person towards whoever’s voicing Optimus in a new Transformers show. Sometimes, a new voice actor is necessary depending on the characterization and age a show is going with Optimus. Don’t worry about Peter. He still got the movies under his belt and there will be another show with him soon. I guarantee it. There’s no way that John Hasbro is gonna miss out on bringing him back.

In the meantime, we need to be better when it comes to whoever will be the next Optimus Prime. A part of the reason why I dreaded the announcement of the voice cast for Transformers: One is because of fans like these ones. Like, some of y'all forgot how to be decent human beings when your fav is not voiced by your fav voice actor. It has gotten to the point of being genuinely irritating.

You may be asking what is the point of this entire blog post. The point is that time and time again, we have forgotten that voice actors are human beings too. This type of fan dumb needs to stop. Y’all did it before and y’all are doing it now with annoying shit like change.org petitions and angry fan letters. At this point, Imma about to say this:

We all owe Jake Foushee an apology big time.

Even if you don’t like his voice acting, you have to at least see something with the points I’ve made here. It will continue to rinse and repeat unless we put our feet down and stop it. We need to be more welcoming and encouraging to new talent who have big shoes to fill in. Having respect and adoration towards the veterans of Transformers while also respecting and being open to new talent who have the potential to co-exist. These are not two mutually exclusive things.

We all owe Jake Foushee an apology.

Till All Are One: A Lesson To Be Learned

As Cyberverse Week is coming in a few days, I need to make my point very clear as one of the biggest Cyberverse fans out here. Sometimes, the new may be just as good as the old. I always have the hope of seeing Jake one day at a convention such as TFCon, especially since he voiced my second favorite Optimus ever.

I'm glad that more people are starting to realize that the backlash against whoever voices Optimus Prime in a new show is just plain dumb. Imagine my relief when I Tweeted a bit about this topic the other way on Twitter and saw a lot of people agreeing with how awful the backlash against Jake Foushee is.

We need to do better as a fandom. It starts with unpacking our biases and be open to change. Transformers is a franchise that revolves around robotical organisms that change, yet ironically the fandom doesn't like change.

Still, I won't let that affect my perception of voice actors in the franchise. I encourage you all to not send any hate messages to any voice actor and be open to change. I may not change everyone's minds, but I hope it gave you all something to think about.

Bucky didn't realize how long he had been staring. Watching you as you worked, trying to get information for your recent mission. He was supposed to be oblivious, blending in, an ordinary face in the crowd. But he couldn't pull his eyes away from you.

The way you smiled and joked with the target, weaseling your way into his good graces, waiting for him to make a mistake. It was like torture to Bucky, he knew your smiles weren't genuine, the laughs weren't real, but he hated watching you with someone else.

When you smiled and laughed with Bucky, it made his heart swell, his palm sweat, and dare he say, gave him butterflies. But watching you act that way with someone else, fake or not, left a bad taste in his mouth, and a hollow feeling in his gut.

He could imagine you acting this way with someone else, genuinely, being with someone who isn't him. That thought alone made his heart ache. But he had no real right to feel that way, and he knew it. You weren't together, you weren't a couple. You had no idea Bucky felt this way about you, and that was his fault.

In the past, he would have had the confidence to walk up to you and tell you, but now, it seemed harder, almost impossible at times. Even with someone like you. Someone he knew inside and out. He could be happy with you. He could be comfortable, and safe. But did he deserve it yet?

"Bucky. BUCKY."

Bucky almost jumped at the loud voice in his ear. "What?" He asked with an aggravated whisper.

"Damn man, did you hear anything I said?" Sam's voice came through the comm again, obviously annoyed.

"No, I was busy."

"Yeah, busy burning holes into Y/n's head."

Bucky felt a chill run up his spine, and his ears heat up. Looking around with just his eyes, he finally spotted Sam across the building on an upper floor, leaning against the rail, looking down at him. He could clearly see the smirk on his face.

"I'm making sure he doesn't make us." Another lie.

"Yeah, right. You better hope he doesn't see the way you're staring, or he will make us."

"Shut up." Buck grumbled.

"Get up here man. You can stare at Y/n later."

Bucky rolled his eyes as he moved towards the stairs. Allowing himself to look back at you, he felt a small jolt run through him as his eyes met yours. You were watching him. Did you turn your ear comms back on? You didn't here that right? No, you took your comms off entirely, just in case. He felt a wave of relief wash over him.

As the target was distracted by a server, you spared a small smile, and a nod at Bucky. Returning the gesture, he let out a deep breath as he made his way to Sam.

He couldn't keep doing this. Thinking of you like this, wanting you to be his, but knowing you aren't. He needed to do something. He needed to take the chance.

"Are you alright Bucky?"

Bucky looked over at you, as your voice broke him from his thoughts. You were looking at him with a concerned look.

He cleared his throat "Uhm, yeah, why?"

"You've been super quiet ever since we got back from the mission."

Bucky looked ahead of you, he had decided to walk you to your car, with the determined though to ask you on a date before you left. But now, as your car grew closer and closer, he felt his confidence begin to falter.

"Uh, yeah, I just...got a lot on my mind."

"Anything I can help with?" You offered with a soft smile, making Bucky's heart palpitate.

You were now standing near your car, and you purposefully slowed down, hoping Bucky would open up a bit. You heard him take in a sharp breath as he stepped in front of you, facing you and leaning his arm on your car.

"I-I, uh."

You saw him shake his head a bit in frustration. You stepped closer, and leaned against your car. "Buck, what's going on?"

A small smile crossed his face as he let out a soft laugh. "I used to be good at this you know."

"Good at what?" You asked softly, your own heart picking up pace.

He met your eyes cautiously, and still held a soft smile on his face. He was clearly nervous as he spoke. "Asking people on dates."

You felt your heart leap, as your neck and ears felt hot. You bit your lip a bit as you repressed a grin. "You're trying to ask me on a date?"

"Trying, being the operative word, yeah." He lowered his head a bit as an almost embarrassed smile crossed his face. "I've been wanting to ask you for a while. I just- I've never met anyone that has made me feel this way. So I guess it scared me, in a way."

Your heart swelled in your chest as he spoke. "I'd love too."

Bucky's head shot up, "You would?"

You giggled softly. "Of course I would."

It seemed to Bucky, that for the first time, he was seeing how you looked at him. He was always so preoccupied with looking at you, thinking of you, how he felt about you, that he never really paid attention to how you looked at him. But now, it hit him, that the way you were looking at him, a smile on your face, eyes lit up. That you were looking at him, the same way he looks at you.

A smile stretched along is face as he spoke softly. "Great. I- uh, tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow's good."

"Alright. I'll text you the time okay?"

"Is that your subtle way of saying you didn't think past this point?"

He let out a laugh. "Yeah, maybe" he nodded.

You giggled. "Alright, text me. I'll be ready."

Bucky stepped back as you unlocked your car. He pulled the door open for you, and as you began to get in, you stopped and looked back at him. He stared at you expectantly, waiting for you to say something.

As you quickly leaned forward, and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek, he felt his body freeze for a moment. "See you tomorrow."

Coming back to his senses, he closed the door as you settled in your seat.

Bucky smiled and waved at you as you began to leave. His heart was beating so heavily in his chest it was almost hard to breath. His thoughts were so preoccupied, he didn't realize that he had probably one of the biggest smiles on his face in years.

"Tomorrow." He whispered softly to himself.

Suddenly realization began to seep in. Tomorrow. And he had nothing planned. You were right, he didn't think past this point.

"Shit."

Thinking abut the possibilities, he realized he didn't know the area well enough, he'd have to do research. Or, he could ask Sam. No, maybe not. He'd think of something. Something amazing, he'd sweep you off your feet.

About the con itself: OH MY PRIMUS I'D BE HERE ALL DAY TALKING ABOUT EVERY COOL THING I SAW 😭💜 Let's just say that I was incredibly lucky to find the stuff I got, and I'm grateful to have gotten it (yes btw that is a screenshot from a tiktok I made about this, I'd put it here but Tumblr is really weird about posting videos so....check my TikTok ig? 😳) // It was truly awesome to see all these figures and things from shows I barely see anyone talk about yet which I care deeply for, NOT TO MENTION THAT EPIC TABLE OF ENTIRELY VINTAGE JAPANESE G1 STUFF WAAA 😭🙏💕💕 So yea, I got a lot of cool stuff, I met some ppl (including a nice conversation with the actual Aaron Archer!! He signed some stuff for me and even left doodles with the signatures!!! Like a smol Unicron or an Optimus!!! That was very cool 😌✨) I saw a lot of cool cosplayers who I didn't have the courage to talk to, but I'm glad I could admire all the creativity and passion from afar :] And the panels!!! Were all very interesting!!!! The Peter Cullen one was awesome, and the script-reading one at the end of the day was also very fun!!! I read for Minerva's part in the audition period, and though I didn't get it, I enjoyed that little moment! Plus, the person they ultimately chose did an amazing job with the script!! ✨ It was purely just cool to even see Minerva on that screen for a while--tbh, we stan the Masterforce rep I saw all throughout the day 😩💖🔥 or, well, I stan that...😳✨

About Meeting Peter Cullen: In short? Surreal ✨🙏 So, I'd signed up for an autograph when getting the tickets for the con! And that Optimus you see up there is the thing I meticulously drew as the print. I wanted it to be something special, so I literally poured my heart into that...tbh, it did turn out quite nice!!! ^\\^

From here I'll repeat exactly what I said in my Instagram post: Though brief, I'll never forget those couple moments. I was able to tell him that theres a lot I struggle with, but that Optimus has always been a real friend to me, and I thanked him for the role he's played in my life...after he signed my print, I asked to give him one, and then mentioned actually, I'd drawn these, and he was so impressed. He read the captions on the banners aloud and said "That's Optimus alright!" (I was grinning like an idiot sjsjsj) & before I gave the copy, he asked *me* to sign it for him 😭 the highest honor for me as an artist ngl 🙏 Reading my name, he said he was glad to have met yet another unique individual like myself...before leaving, we shook hands and he told me I should keep going, that I'm doing great. I couldn't stop smiling as I left.

So basically, Saturday was a dream--in fact, many dreams came true Saturday. Thanks, TFcon Chicago, it was a wild and fun ride I'll never forget~

TwiFicmas Redux: Shadow To Light

Happy New Year to everyone, and I hope 2024 is a beautiful and positive year for everyone - I think we've all earned it.

As promised, as an auspicious offering, the first 1000 words of the STL Ch 13 draft. Mary-Alice is being profoundly difficult about this chapter, but she's allowed to be a little bit messy.

Here's to a great year with more regular updates and more of my self indulgent nonsense ;)

Fourteen. Starved for so long of beauty

Once upon a time, a lifetime ago, she made a choice. It was an easy choice to make, because it was the right one. Because she didn’t truly know what came next; her certainty in her own visions, her certainty in who she was going to be - who the Major was going to be - had made her confident.

(She doesn’t regret it, she would never wish to go back and make a different decision. She just wishes… she just wishes that she knew better what was to come. What it was like to be stripped right down to the bone, layer by layer, from loneliness and violence and hopelessness. She wishes she’d read the contract she was signing in blood and tears and time, just so she could look fate in dead in the eye and make the same choice without a second thought.)

The Major smells like… he smells like something she doesn’t want to acknowledge.

(He smells like home.)

She feels silly after the worst of her panic attack is over, and the Major is there next to her with his arm around her. She feels utterly ridiculous, actually - the stolen t-shirt in her arms, curled against him so tightly… She almost feels ashamed.

(Except… she’s frustrated. She wants to demand answers - when is she allowed to fall down? When is she allowed to break apart and have someone else put together the pieces? In more than eighty years, it’s always been up to her to maintain control, to be the thing that bends but does not break and she’s so tired. But she’s also supposed to be better than this. Isn’t that what the Major always said? Why Peter always resented her? Even Maria noticed. Mary-Alice is sturdy, reliable, consistent. If she falls, she gets back up. It… it would just be nice not to, just once.)

“How are you feeling?”

The Major’s voice is warm and kind and it almost makes her feel less pitiful.

Almost.

“Present.” Her voice is quiet but her tone is clipped and distant, and she regrets it when she feels him withdraw slightly. She’s wrecking this, like she wrecks everything. It’s all she ever does.

(Maybe that’s why she was such a good soldier; she knows exactly how to ruin things.)

But the Major doesn’t leave. He just shifts so he’s not pressed quite so close, his cheek no longer resting against her hair. But his arm is still around her.

“Do you need to hunt?” He asks, and she doesn’t know. Everything feels odd and off balance and maybe she’s not as back as she originally thought.

So she doesn’t answer. She just rests her head back against the wall and closes her eyes.

The Major watches her for a moment before looking away. “When I met the Cullens,” he begins in a gentle voice, “I swear Esme only made Carlisle approach me because I resembled a drowned cat. Hadn’t stopped raining on the East Coast for weeks, and I’d been roaming the woods the entire time. I was disgusting. Maria would have thrown a bucket of water at my head weeks before if we’d been back home.

“And Esme took one look at me and whisper-bullied Carlisle into approaching me, like I couldn’t hear every single word. She kept saying that I looked cold.” The Major chuckles and she’s close enough that she feels the vibrations through his chest and it’s… it’s not unpleasant.

It’s strange being this close to another person and not being on edge. Not waiting for the killing blow, trying to figure out how to get to their throat first. Making sure that she knows exactly where their hands and teeth are, that she’s prepared for their next movement, for the tightening of their muscles before they lunge…

(It’s very strange being this close to someone, at all. She prefers to keep her distance normally. But this… it’s not the bad kind of strange, she doesn’t think. She’s just so intensely aware of him.)

“Just imagine it, will you - Esme wearing a tweed coat and riding boots and a hat to go hunting, and I look like a monster who spent a week sleeping in a swamp,” the Major continued, “And she was worried about me, like I was a soggy kitten.”

She can imagine it, honestly; his hair sticking to his face, and that gaunt, murderous look he got on his face when he was thirsty. Weeks of grime pressed into his clothing, his skin, looking like the monster from an old story or some mythological horror rising from the riverbed. Nothing sympathetic or pitiable about him for most people.

Right now, she feels oddly grateful to Esme for looking past all of that and seeing the Major as he could be.

“And you followed them home?” She tries to make the words sound light-hearted, but they fall flat and ugly, and she wants to take them back.

That makes the Major laugh out loud, a rumble against her side that is startling and she jumps a little.

“No. I told them to fuck off and leave me be; I had to tell them that a few times over the years until I gave in and talked to them. Let Esme convince me that taking a shower and accepting new clothing was a right and not charity. Let Carlisle remind me that I owed them nothing by ‘visiting’ with them. It took a long time for them to lure me over the threshold.” The Major takes her hand in his; his thumb smooths over a patch of scar tissue, a repetitive motion that feels… soft. Nice. “I think in the end, I hinted that I was ready for them to ask me to stay with them. I don’t think I was subtle about it either.”

“They didn’t ask you before then?” Mary-Alice feels the frustration boil for a second. She watched as much as she could bring herself to, for many years, and there are pieces that she’s missing. They just weren’t important enough for her to see, or something changed and recalling what she’d politely dismissed was too difficult.

(She had entrusted the Major to the Cullens. It didn’t matter that they had had no idea, all those years ago, her visions had made the contract. And even now, knowing that it all came together the way it was supposed to, it upsets her that he had to wait for so long to be taken home to his family.)

We (@tessartist & me) met a cool Johnny cosplayer, and saw two other people dressed as their V's. I had a few people who recognized my cosplay.

I planned to meet Peter Cullen but his line was very long. Plus I was very tired from walking all day, and the entry line put me in a POTs episode.

I also got a Cyberpunk Edgerunners poster and bag w/ Keanu on it that says "Keani hold your things?"

It was super fun over all :3

I think of Gregory Peck “The Great White Apotheosis.” Mr. Peck was one of my better impressions come to think of it. Always enjoyed doing that one - but I digress. Probably wasn’t so much not being able to do an impression, but I do remember having trouble making authentic sounding whinnies. I could do all the subtle stuff, but the high big sounds not so much. Also, don’t laugh, but a rooster. I wanted to do it of course as realistic as possible, but I never really got that one the way I felt it should be...oh, and one other thing I might as well admit too. That loud sharp clean whistle where people use two fingers in the corner of their mouths...never could do it. So many actors and folks in general can do it and I’ll bet Nancy Cartwright can whistle like that and literally bring the paint off the walls - one of the few women who does great sound effects as well as fabulous characters.

I think from a logical perspective, I'd go with optimus prime. I most definitely want to be able to turn into a semi-truck and just drive for a whole day, but I can also trust that he will not destroy my body while I'm doing so

Agent Fowler from tfp! I do laugh at all the american jokes because I've met people like that, but I like his overall character and how he's always looking out for them. absolutely my favorite human

Peter Cullen, hands down, no question. he's like my hero, he inspired me to start voice acting, and as I'm training to be a firefighter I live by "be strong enough to be gentle". 100% I would love to meet him

Luke evolution

Despite the fact CM writers seem not like too much Luke Alvez character, he evolved a lot, since his first apparition on the show.

I already talked about his shift from lone wolf to a proud member of a family, not only a team. The big proofs are in episodes 13x15, when he told Barnes that he belonged to the BAU, and 15x9, when he said that they are a family.

Another changing is noticeable in his desk, so anonimous at the beginning, and with some items on CME.

But this time I want to talk about something deeper. In his first ep, 12x1, we met a dark Luke, member of Fugitives Task Force. Rossi reached him to tell him that there was an "old friend", between the fugitives. Luke had two chats with Hotch. In the first, the chief said that "men like Daniel Cullen and Peter Lewis belong in 5-foot by 8-foot cells where they can live out their lives as failures, instead of dying thinking that they accomplished something." and Luke replied "I'm not there yet". Then the younger asked the other if he didn't want to kill Mr Scratch; Aaron replied with the same question, and Luke said "I took an oath to uphold the laws of this country. So… Yeah. Yeah, I want to kill him." In S14, after Phil murder, Luke decided to cross the private justice, and Emily and Matt reached him just in time. But then, in S16, evolution, Luke said to Tyler "You want revenge, and we can only promise you justice". This means that he changed a lot his mind about this. Maybe the demon against he fought, became smaller. Maybe he is/was just stronger. Anyway, I think it's still interesting.

julian cortez was born on november 2nd, 1998. as siphoner, it was very ironic that his birthday ended up being on dia de los muertos. how ironic it was that he himself was a little dead inside knowing he had no powers of his own. he wasn't fully there.

julian was born in a powerful witch coven, one that was proud of their powers. and julian was excited for when he would show magical abilities of his own, but when nothing came, he felt like the odd one out amongst his coven.

the day he discovered his powers, he was terrified. he had the ability to do everything witches do, but he had no actual magic of his own. when he siphoned his older brother, that was when everything changed. he was only thirteen.

that whole time, he stayed quiet about his powers. he knew what it meant to be a siphoner, and his older brother was so protective over julian, so he kept it quiet, telling julian to keep acting like he was just human and the magic had skipped him. that was better than their parents finding out the truth.

his older brother made sure that every morning julian can siphon a little bit of magic for julian to store for the day, so that he can use it for protection. and most times julian just practiced his magic here and there before the magic was gone for the day.

for the next few years, julian did stay low. but he was so curious about his power. so he practice with the little magic that his brother let him siphon.

for years, julian felt broken, getting frustrated when the magic was gone, feeling like he wasn't whole. but when he did nursing school, it had become the one thing that had helped him, because he wanted to do good, and thought the only way he could help was to ease those that needed it, help them to go on their way to a healthier and better self.

in college, he met a fellow supernatural, who never judged him, who got close with. with their help, julian got to siphon a bit of magic from him so that he could at least learn a little more advance stuff.

he graduated nursing school, even if it took longer than most. but he did that. and when he got a job offer at alexandria, where he was eyeing, finding out there were people like him. he was rather excited, knowing that he wasn't alone.

OLDER BROTHER: he was so happy he wasn't alone in this world. his brother was always so protective of him, even when he discovered he was a siphoner. he even moved out to alexandria with julian, and now they share a place together. ( TAKEN by @ )

HIS FIRST LOVE: julian and his first love had dated all throughout high school. but what he doesn’t know about his first love was that he was a supernatural. ( either he was a vampire or a darklighter ). julian didn’t know that the other would eventually fake his own death to protect julian. julian never felt so heartbroken, feeling the loss of someone he gave his whole hear to. so when he moved to alexandria, he couldn't believe that he was alive and living in the town too.

EX BOYFRIEND: julian had one other boyfriend in his life, but the relationship wasn’t as loved filled as it was with his first love. at least at first it was nice, but it ended up getting a bit too much, maybe the fact that he had found the other cheating on him.

HOSPITAL BEST FRIEND: seeing as julian was completely new, he had no friends in the city. so he gets close to some of the people in the hospital. eventually he makes a few good friends at the hospital, but one he is closest with. they often go get drinks after work.
