tfw you read criticism that's mostly normal but then takes a sharp turn directly into "women only like this character because he's hypermasculine and they only think with their ovaries and he's a traumatized bad boy they want to fix" and you just have to put the phone down because you're supposed to be past dealing with shit this bad-faith

#can't believe i had to read that from a blog that seemed to be otherwise erudite and taking itself seriously #does that mean that person just honestly believes 'women are stupid sex-crazed creatures' is a normal credible argument??#i even checked the notes and nobody was like hey what the fuck #and of all things it was about t*b*r*m*#who is...really not what I'd call the ur-example of hypermasculinity #but the notes were all like oh yes this makes sense #and I'm still sitting here the next day going kids? wtf? girlies you're really letting someone talk to you like this?
