My storage unit, a year ago almost exactly, was $87/mo.
Today, when the bill came out, it's $126. They did not inform me of any change to the amount, nor did they honor their giant "first month free" banner outside.
The exact same unit I'm renting, if I put used one online right now? $68.
SO WHY THE FUCK AM I BEING CHARGED LIKE DOUBLE THAT?! HELLO????
#they literally won't respond to me either#i went in there about 5 months ago to ask what new features justified me being charged like $10/mo and they didn't say a word#guy just smiled and wrote a number down for me on a piece of paper#and the people on the phone line didn't say shit either#raging. seething. ripping the storage unit people apart limb from limb#I'm going in there tomorrow after work and saying i either need the rate for a bew customer#or im canceling and opening a new one#and I'll just move my shit to another 5x10 fucking box#all this just so my mom's nasty ass cats don't piss on my things#they've already destroyed everything i have here - including a bed i spent 3k on because I've never had a nice bed#yep. smells like cat piss. even through the waterproof liner thing it came with.#i love my life. i love living with my mom. I'm definitely not about to commit suicide
