ooookay... my heart was not ready 😭💖💖😭😭😭😭💖😭😭😭💔💖💖😭😭😭😭
firstly: WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WAS THAT STAR?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! DID WE ACTUALLY START WITH PAIN?!!1
how many times to we have to witness Order66? How many angles do we have to see? how many times do we have to feel the same pain?!
it hurts. 😭💔
but also: was that a young Reva there? i feel like it might have been.. the age kinda matches up.. and would kinda make sense.. her attitude was very Reva, but i don't wanna make assumptions..
Owen is kind of a dick, i guess understandably so, but still. kind of a dick 😅
baby Luke is precious and adorable, but i guess they mislead us deliberately just so we thought he was gonna be a main point in this show.. when he is obviously not (so far)..
that young Jedi, Nari, i'm sorry for everything, but you should have listened to Kenobi.. just stay in hiding, please. do not be so eager to fight. just lay low.. please....
aaaand he's gone. RIP. 💔
Ewan as Kenobi is ofc perfection. he plays every single emotion flawlessly and so so so powerfully. he truly is Kenobi. and he loves this role. and he is giving it his all.
the nightmares he's having STILL.. the pain he feels for letting Anakin down.. for letting everyone down.. the loneliness he feels in his exile, the way he just wants to talk to his master.. my heart.. it hurts..
they truly made me believe we were gonna have a Qui-Gon cameo, huh?! but i guess him not showing up is even more painful in a way... fuck... pain. 😭💔
one thing that's kinda iffy to be is how big of a dick Kenobi is towards Bail.. like i figured he'd jump at the first call and go help his old friend and the daughter of his best friend... but nope. he's stubborn.. that was definitely an interesting choice..
also Bail my beloved. 💖
i am so happy he's back and he is perfection as always.
speaking of perfection:
why is my favorite part of a Kenobi show not even Kenobi?! 😅 baby Leia is perfection, she is adorable, she is everything. she must be protected. the actress is perfect, she gives off the stubbornness of both her parents and she has the attitude and knowledge, and some early signs of the force, for sure. she is everything!😭💖💖💖
baby Leia my precious 💖💖💖
also her doid, Lola, GIVE ME. I WANT. 😍😍😍
we have a new contender for cutest droid 😅
speaking of precious:
The Grand Inquisitor, by precious tragic baby 💖💖💖
he actually looks fkin amazing, they added the yellow eyes and the lines on his head, and the performance is great, and i am so happy he is back and gets expanded on.. BUT
what the fuck was that stab at the end of ep2?! like umm.. what?! he is not gonna die. we know he is not dying?! why is he getting stabbed and why are they making people believe he died?! hello?! do not fkin retcon Rebels, i swear to god!!
as for the rest of the Inquisitors: the Fifth brother and whatever Sister that was: amazing. love it. thank you 💖
Reva, the Third Sister.. eeeh idk. i LOVE the look, i love the performance, and how she uses the force, she is fkin strong!! BUT i don't know how i feel about her attitude. i still don't fully understand why she's pushing so hard for Kenobi specifically.. did Anakin give her a special task?! she is too stubborn and too impulsive and idk how i feel about that.. but everything else i love.
Kumail Nanjiani as Haja is EVERYTHING. he is a scene stealer. i love him. he is such a little jedi fanboy and i love him. please give me more of him!! 💖💖💖
Flea in Star Wars.. that was.. interesting 😅
EDIT: also the veteran clone trooper. my hear broke 💔 but seeing Temuera back as a clone was just way too good. please give me more 🙏🙏🙏
and that little Anakin teaser at the end. ow. 😭💔💖
the look on Obi-Wan's face when he finds out Anakin lives... wow. the pain. i felt it. it hurts. 💔😭💖
can't wait for more 😅👍
---------------
all in all: LOVED the first 2 episodes.
loving where this is going.
LOVING what they're doing with Leia, and her dynamic with Kenobi.. it's way too precious.. also when he referenced Padme. my heart 😭
cannot wait to see what's next. 😍😍😍

What are your thoughts on the Mortis arc?
Ooookay. Mortis. So here’s the thing.
If you really sit down and think about the plot to the Mortis arc, you end up with a whole bunch nothing. I recently rewatched a bunch of it and there’s so much about the Father, Son, and Daughter that’s just...kind of nonsensical. (Not to mention Obi-wan’s weird dagger of doom sidequest, which, don’t get me wrong, I love a good Obi-wan adventure, but the whole thing was kind of weird.)
But the point of Mortis, to my mind, was never the plot. It was about exploring the characters. (I tend to take the Son, Daughter, and Father as more metaphor than strict reality which I know starts to become problematic once we hit Rebels. In the spirit of full honesty, I was not a fan of the whole portal thing the first time around and tend to ignore its existence in canon.)
Let’s start with the three spirits Obi-wan, Ahsoka, and Anakin are visited by (Christmas Past, Christmas Pres...no wait, wrong thing). There have been a lot of very good posts positing that the Qui-gon we see on Mortis isn’t necessarily the real Force Ghost!Qui-gon Jinn. If Ahsoka’s older doppleganger and Shmi are both manifestations of the Father and Son, Qui-gon is probably a manifestation of the daughter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I find these reflections fascinating. Are they reflections of who each person holds dearest? Of who they are afraid to lose? Anakin sees Shmi, which makes perfect sense as she is probably the closest person to Anakin’s heart and the one he was the most afraid to lose. She was also the catalyst for his first Majorly Dark Actions when he killed the Sandpeople on Tatooine. Ahsoka sees herself, an older version, which makes sense as she holds this goal of becoming a Jedi Knight, is afraid of losing that goal (which she does, eventually) and so her vision is wrapped up in her dreams and insecurities. Obi-wan sees Qui-gon, which makes a ton of sense as a) Obi-wan lost Qui-gon and b) Qui-gon’s actions in TPM had some rather drastic consequences for Obi-wan’s life.
I guess what I’m saying the long way is that the Force is reflecting the priorities, or what haunts, in a way, our heroes. Which tells us so much about them and is really tragic.
Another great character moment is after the Obes and Ahoksa have been kidnapped and it’s interesting as his self-sacrificing actions mirror the Father’s later on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like, he doesn’t even blink, and it’s so Obi-wan for him to just say, “Yeah, take me, let me kick the bucket if it saves everyone else.”
Anyway, I just like to point that out. The Father is really intent on telling Anakin that he needs to stay, needs to not go back if he wants to maintain balance. And since, as I’ve pointed out above, these specters are essentially manifestations of the trio’s subconscious, you have to wonder if that’s really Anakin’s subconscious trying to debate whether or not he should stay in the Order, or if he should leave and be Padmé’s husband. I mean, I just don’t understand how Anakin staying on a pseudo-planet in isolation would be beneficial otherwise. What’s the message? You’re too dangerous so we need to lock you away here? Which I suppose is what Anakin may have thought the Order felt about him? I don’t know, I never entirely got that part.
This moment, however is, hilarious -
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anakin, you DOPE. But comedy aside, it does show how Anakin both dislikes and likes the whole Chosen One moniker, in that it makes him special, makes him important, which he craves after his childhood on Tatooine and yet there is so much expectation that comes with that prophecy and I am still mad at Qui-gon Jinn for bringing it up with a nine-year old to begin with.
Of course, we all know about the infamous volcano scene, but another part of Obi-wan and Anakin’s eventual fight to the death is also mirrored in the Mortis arc, right in front of Obi-wan’s salad:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Speaking of everyone’s favorite pain-in-the-ass Jedi Master, what kind of question is this, Jinn?
Tumblr media
And if we stick with the idea that this isn’t the real Qui-gon Jinn, but a manifested Qui-gon, it makes more sense that Qui-gon would be asking Anakin if he really believes in the prophecy itself. Because I feel like real-life Qui-gon wouldn’t be asking that question.
Tumblr media
Oh No. I hate this. Obi-wan’s Qui-gon ghost never asks about Obi-wan himself, only asks about Anakin, asks if Obi-wan did what Qui-gon asked. Anakin’s Qui-gon ghost seems to hold Obi-wan’s training in somewhat better regard with this line, which is a reflection on how Anakin sees Obi-wan’s training which is...good! Finally, a non-angsty read on this!
So in the end, the whole family is destroyed and the planet doomed, the Force out of balance. Again, the plot here is pretty damn flimsy but the character insights - even beyond the obvious parallels to RotS, are what are interesting. But I personally don’t take Mortis literally.
Tumblr media
But Obi-wan was serving some looks in this episode, I gotta say.

50 Days of Fics: Day 14
ooookay anon, I did my best.
Prompt:  I overhear your list of impossible qualities/requirements you want in a person, so I feel the need to give you a piece of my mind but I’m realizing that I might fit your list as I argue
Obi-Wan sighed. “No, Anakin, you cannot set me up on another blind date.”
“Why not?” Anakin asked.
“Because last time you picked someone for me it was the worst date of my life,” he replied.
“Well, that’s just because I was going in blind. You have to give me some criteria this time, Obi-Wan,” Anakin shot back.
“Fine? You want to know what I want in a partner? I’ll tell you.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Satine didn’t know why, but she found herself leaning in to the conversation the two men were having at the bar next to her. She took a sip of her wine as she listened with interest.
“Well,” the man continued. “My partner has to be intelligent. I want to be able to hold a conversation with someone and match wits. Someone with a sense of humor who matches my own. They have to have good morals, preferably with kindness and compassion to match. Someone who’s outspoken and does the right thing without having to be asked. I want someone who’s reliable and responsible. Someone preferably nice to look at...”
Satine rolled her eyes as the man continued on an on. “You’re building the perfect girl in your head, and that’s an unreasonable standard. No one will ever match up,” she sighed.
The two men turned to look at her. Oh no, she realized. I said that aloud.
“Excuse me?” the man, Obi-Wan, asked her. Indignation was on his face. “What is wrong with my list?”
“Aside from the fact that you’re being pretentious? Well, let’s see, where do I begin?” she said pointedly. This man was in for the dressing-down of his life.
“Intelligence is relative depending on what theory you adhere to. Sure, some people read more books than others, but does that truly make them intelligent? Some people may have more degrees than others, but that does not make them more intelligent, either. There are different types of intelligences according to Garner’s theory. Eight, to be exact. Therefore, the want to have someone who is ‘intelligent’ is vague and misleading,” she commented, thus proving a bit of her own intelligence on the matter.
“How is wanting someone who is smart enough to carry a conversation vague and misleading?” the man asked.
“Because there are different kinds of intelligences. To put a higher value on one than another is just wrong. Some people are better at certain things than others. Their short-comings do not make them any less. Besides, technically, anyone can hold a conversation, and the term matching wits is outdated, and honestly a bit offensive. If someone doesn’t ‘match wits’ with you, that doesn’t mean that they are inferior. Sometimes people just choose not to, because it can be tiring,” She shrugged. “As for a matching sense of humor, are we sure that you even have one? You seem to be a person who finds himself in bad humor more often than not. Oh, no, given the look on your face right now, it appears that I have struck a nerve,” she said mockingly.
Obi-Wan seethed. Undeterred, she pressed on.
“As for as good morals, those are subjective to cultural norms, are they not? For instance, I help an old woman in my building buy her groceries and I am part of a neighborhood initiative for peace, which could be considered good morals. However, I also chew gum, which would be considered bad in Singapore,” she stopped for a moment, noticing that the woman next to her had left her purse. She quickly ran it over to her before returning. She was about to begin again, when she realized that this whole time she had been proving that she fit his list.
“Who do you think you are?” Obi-Wan asked exasperated.
“Well, I do believe that according to your list, I very well could be your next girlfriend,” she smiled.

2,4,17,24,30 for the Star Wars Asks💜!!
Hello Anon!! Thank you for stopping by!! 😘 Let’s answer your questions!!
2. Favorite Clone Wars episode(s) : Alright let’s see I might go by arc for this one because I don’t have a specific episode in mind so. That one would have to be the Lost Jedi/ Padawan Lost episodes because for me personally it cemented my love for Ahsoka Tano and i thought also it kinda highlighted her growth from becoming less of a child to a full on adult looking out for others before herself.
4. Favorite soundtrack(s) : Crap ummm...I’m gonna go with the Season 7 Soundtrack because it’s like I can hear one note and instantly sob. Like “Victory and Death” that first note from that and i’m sobbing like a baby so XD
17. Saddest moment(s) : Ooo boy....Alright so Clone Wars had plenty of sad sad moment, we got Umbara arc (season 5??) we got Fives Death (season 6)...Order 66 (Season 7) all classic spicy sad moments. Me personally I think the Order 66 arc of Season 7 was the worst for me to get through because see...i’m an emotional person, i still bawl my eyes out when Hardcase dies at Umbara...I cry seeing Fives start to loose it and pulls a gun on Fox. But the few scenes with Captain Rex simply going in that back room, listening to Darth Sidious say the infamous “Execute Order Sixty Six” line to Captain Rex... flood gates I tell you!! And then it just got worse from there! because then it was like Captain Rex terrified after almost shooting Ahsoka and then him saying they gotta kill his men and he is crying under his helmet like damn lighten up! This is why i support Fix- it-Fics...everyone is alive in those usually (except for Krell, fuck Krell)
24. Movies or shows: oooo imma have to pick shows for this one just because the world building in shows gets a lot more time to develop. But that’s like such a small reason why i pick the shows over the movies. I love both :D
30. Unpopular opinion(s): Ooookay....uhhh keep in mind if you don’t agree with me we can still be friends but okay let’s see:
Anakins’s Clone wars movie outfit >> Anakins season 4ish-5ish outfit outfit (the browner one) I just like the color contrast between the navy and the maroon and then the armor was nice too
That one Clone Wars Game for the wii said to be the worse star wars game: i’ve played it and it’s honestly not that bad. Sure the controls are fragile but i’d pay anything to hear Captain Rex in a game lmao. Someone make more Clone Wars games i’m STARVING for Rex content
a lot of people have this opinion already but i want to say it again: Star Wars Rebels was good. Now it’s not like a true Clone Wars sequel and their are some parts i didn’t like (cough middle of season 2 what the fuck??), but hey it got me to care about space Aladdin so like. Also another opinion: Ezra season 3 haircut>>Season 1-2 haircut. I know it’s for his sith phase (mom!) but it was character growth dammit and my son looked nice. Also Kanan’s season 4 cut i liked more than the pony tail but honestly my man should be wearing his hair down like Tarzan!
Thank you so much for the questions!! Please ask more these are fun lol!

Ooookay, so dear Mr. Zahn was mercilessly trolling us last year, saying he WOULD LIKE to write a novel about Anakin and Thrawn. Come on, lets face it: the “Alliances” with Vader for 90% is going to be about the Clones Wars Era and will actually be a prequel, not a sequel. Basically cause there’s no place to plug the novel in between Thrawn and Rebels and Thrawn is no longer there during Scarif. Uuunless Vader and Thrawn will just be bickering over Rukh for the whole novel xDDD
Also we should pay more attention to Zahn’s WISH he could write a quadrilogy. My guess is he was trolling about this as well and the 4-part-series were already confirmed at that point.
