idk maybe it’s the somewhat demi/grey asexual part of me but I don’t understand why people are confused abt Lestat seeing Claudia as a rival for his love. it’s love, not sex. romantic love doesn’t have to be sexual, and love itself, can have so many shapes, be it platonic or familial or romantic or sexual or a mix etc. she IS a rival for his love and she sees Lestat as that too. this has nothing to do with sexuality imo
