the many jackets and that one set of boots i must really fuckin’ like (i do) of cipher nine, lmao. base game - makeb edition.
if he starts collecting rifles like len did pistols, so help me, i won’t be able to handle the (lack of) inventory slots.
i’ll give you a ramble about them beneath the cut; that’s how these things usually go, right? xD (send help)
the red blade - hutta edition! fashion is an agent’s greatest weapon. agent gives me an excuse to dress them up from the second they’re born into the game and i milk it for all its worth. he needs to wear this jacket more often. he looks cozy in it. puts him in his thundershirt emotional support pirate jacket.
lightweight tactical - generalized home turf, lightweight ‘fit. glory to the empire and all that patriotic imperial officer jazz.
stealing theron’s jacket - he will inevitably actually steal theron’s jacket. eventually (and theron will steal at least half of his). but right now, he doesn’t know what a theron is. home turf overcoat good for getting caught in the kaas city rains and telling your enemies (hunter) that you have a better bitchin’ jacket than them. just a nice damn jacket.
for the resistance! - terror cell infiltration on balmorra. trying not to let sanju get himself killed. possible resurgence of the low-key comfy trenchcoat on makeb. when we need to look convincingly unimperial.
light armor stealth - “sir, your emotional support trenchcoat will not protect you from poisoned blades.” when i needed to put him in something a bit more physically protective than bubble wrap. a mask to open the tattooine arc because of suspected betrayal from the ghost cell contact. enough armor to feel not like a tissue paper unicorn on the frontlines of corellia, but not enough to turn him from a stealth operative into storming the bastion.
cold weather - the return of the king. alderaanian mercenary work. almost getting killed on hoth. the man, the myth, the legend, the return of one of his almost iconic outfits i had him wear way too much in his first playthrough. the outfit that made me realize he looks damn good in this green. (it’s a little unfair.)
casual - something a bit more off the job. something potentially for a defecting cipher agent. kaliyo drags him to bars and he has to look nice. kaliyo drags him to a lot of shit that doesn’t always go well, but at least he looks good dealing with it akdfndslfdsf.
belsavis - jostling with the bounty hunter for title of republic’s most wanted. orchestrator of prison heists. he’s not paying them in credits. smart ass, hard ass, nice ass. ahhem. (rip belsavis crew, he might’ve genuinely liked some of you if he hadn’t been ruthlessly using you to destroy a galactic conspiracy.)
sith intelligence - a little out of order. cropped up a few times as a dressier sort of uniform. good for play-pretending at more diplomatic aims on voss. bonus fact: he gets adopted by my emperor’s wrath post class-story to keep an eye on the bickering dark council. savosta is tired of their bullshit derailing the war effort and he is just one fuckin’ guy. him and tyr shaking hands about being done with this shit.
bonus!!!
Tumblr media
imperial officer - i can’t keep a straight face too long. standard imperial officer affair. my brain is generating a generic bad guy (mustache twirling levels) imperial officer image every time i see him in this that just makes me crack. i’m still mad he looks good in this. i can’t take me or him seriously about it, but he looks good. and also putting him in the little cap shaves like 10 years off of him and then i get emotional about all of the damage the class story does and we don’t TALK about that sO. it gets to stay on the merit of i know this is something he’s worn at least once. nebulous interlude outfit. (the secondary color picked from this jacket not being black was INCREDIBLY jarring btw, it comes up this bright like red-orange thing and like holy facial hair of the emperor that was. hmm. that was a thing. that happened.)

A Ninja's Guide to Eorzea: Part 1
I'm currently working on my relic weapon for ninja, and that means I'm suffering I'm going into a lot of dungeons solo as a ninja. And it got me thinking about stealth. Rogues and ninjas have a Hide feature that, aside from a few job quests, usually goes completely overlooked. you can usually run from any overworld enemies, dungeons mean you have to hang out with at least two people who can't hide from enemies, and you can't even try to hide from dungeon bosses.
So the ninja sadly doesn't get many opportunities to live out the classic ninja fantasy of striking from the shadows. But by soloing a dungeon at a higher level, you can sneak from boss room to boss room for the same effect. And since I'm going through so many dungeons right now, I thought I'd write down my thoughts on how well each one lets you live out that fantasy.
1. Sastasha
This is the dungeon I'll be comparing all others to. not just because it's the first, but it's one of the best. stealing a glance at the pirate's password and breaking into their base both happen in relatively secluded areas, so you can ignore all enemies right up until the first boss.
Thing get a little hairier when you first meet the pirates, mostly because their guard dogs can see through your sneaking. Which makes a lot of sense when you think about it, right? They live right next door to the bloody Rogues Guild, obviously they'd have ways of dealing with rogues.
This only really adds one extra fight to the list- the second dog and his master are mandatory to grab a key, and the third is in a wide open area that gives you space to avoid it. if you remember it's there, unlike me.
This dungeon is the quintessential "breaking into a base" fantasy, and it plays that part beautifully with realistic threats to keep you on your toes. also it's pirates vs. ninjas which was a big to-do during the lolsorandom years.
I'm also giving it bonus points bc despite having dogs that can spot you, you can open multiple doors without the door guards ever catching wise.
Tumblr media
look at them. morons. A+
2. The Tam-Tara Deepcroft
I'm not going to lie, this one's 100% bias speaking. The sneaking works fine, and you can get to bosses completely unmolested, it's just... almost every "boss" here is just some random guy. it doesn't really strike the right chord like Sastasha did. I'll give it a C+/B-, it's sneakable, but it doesn't feel like a ninja.
3. Copperbell Mines
This one's got plot coupons stuck in enemies up the wazoo, so it's definitely not sneaky. On top of that, the dust bunnies in this place all have tremorsense, so you can't sneak past them, and every part of the dungeon is a narrow walkway so you can't even sneak past the old fashioned way.
If that wasn't bad enough, there's multiple moments where hecatoncheirs appear out of walls, instantly breaking your stealth and forcing you into a fight. Sneaking does get you past the worst of the final room, but by then it's too little, too late. D
3. Halatali
Not gonna lie, I 100% thought this one would turn out like Copperbell Mines when I first thought about it. I've never been happier to be wrong though!
The first and third parts of the dungeon are predictably not an issue whatsoever, you sneak past the trash mobs and fight the boss, no problem. The middle portion is where things get spicy- you see, there's several winches in the area you have to pull to open the door at the end, but pulling them breaks your stealth. Further complicating things, pulling each winch has a chance to drop a monster on your head, which I just spent two paragraphs complaining about!
However, because these winches only get pulled when you want them to be, it feels more like you're disarming a trap than anything else. Waiting for the crowd of monsters around you to wander off, setting off booby traps, and dealing with the consequences actually makes the whole experience very fun. Exploring an abandoned ruin definitely falls more on the rogue side of things than ninja, but it was fun enough that I'll let it slide. B+
4. The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak
Hard F. You have to defeat every monster in an area before you move on, so hiding here actively slows down your progress when you have to u-turn and hunt down whatever you snuck past in the first place.
5. Haukke Manor
Another dungeon that surprised me with out sneakable it is. All of the manor's keys are either located in a boss you have to kill anyway, or on the ground. this means you can sneak into rooms, nab the key from right under the monsters' noses, and sneak back out leaving them none the wiser. Adding in the patrolling succubi that just so happen to give you just enough time to grab certain keys and hide again before they turn around gives a stealth game vibe to the whole experience like in Halatali. Plus you're sneaking into a mansion to kill a corrupt noble, which is a totally ninja thing to do! Another solid B+
6. Brayflox's Longstop
I was surprised to learn Colibri can see through ninja invisibility, but I guess that explains why Captain Madison had one. The starting room has a couple you pretty much have to fight, but aside from that it doesn't do anything special. It also doesn't really fit the ninja vibe what with you fighting random wildlife, but it has fewer filler bosses and fighting a dragon is always cool, so. B-.

The Perfect Husband | G.W
WARNINGS // Dad!George, pregnancy, Husband!George, overprotectiveness, being a good dad, fluffy mornings, food n bacon
A/N // @vogueweasley i love you this is for you bc you inspired me ✋Also thank you all so so much for 1.4k, something I never thought I'd actually achieve 😭
Tumblr media
Light snores filled the room, creating an ambience of warmth and comfort in the air. It had been a tiring day for your husband, you could tell that from the fact that he was currently dozing away on your chest, something that didn't happen often considering that his sleeping habits kept him awake after you and well into the night.
You admired just how beautiful his features were and how peaceful he looked as you continued to run your fingertips through his hair, nails scratching at his scalp. His small snores were enough to warm your heart as you laid your head back against your pillow and attempted to drift off yourself, to no avail.
The one thing keeping you up was the baby that was very much awake, kicking around and squirming like there was no tomorrow. Your baby only ever seemed to calm down at their father's deep voice but never your own, so instead you watched as their little hands and feet pushed against your skin from the inside, being able to see the faint outlines of each finger and toe, your hand coming to press them down, in essence playing a small game with them.
Earlier in the night George had sang a soft lullaby to his baby as he gently rubbed over your belly, the sight of him interacting with his child made you all the more excited for your little miracle to be here. You didn't expect to fall pregnant so quickly after marriage, it seemed to happen so fast, after not even a year of marriage you showed him your first scan, he was so emotional that he cried over and over until he fully realised that he was becoming a father.
George was the perfect husband, aside from the endless love and affection he gave you, he would constantly be treating you, whether it was to dinner or just a bouquet of roses. If you were being honest, you didn't deserve the kindness he showed you, hell you didn't deserve something as good as him, but he made you believe it, in his actions alone - kissing every inch of your soft skin until you felt the love he was giving.
You had eventually drifted off to sleep, lulled into the morning by the dim lighting and comforting atmosphere. You were only brought out of sleep by the enchanting smell of bacon, George knowing that one of your biggest cravings was a gorgeous bacon sandwich, giving you the insensitive to swing your legs out of bed, pulling on a hoodie before walking, or perhaps maybe waddling, out to the kitchen.
You strode up behind him, hand running up and down his back as you pressed your cheek to his bicep, inhaling the scent of the sizzling bacon deeply and with a satisfied sigh. His groggy, but comfortingly deep morning voice rang through the kitchen as he leant down to press a kiss to the top of your head. "Good morning, trouble."
"Morning, Georgie." You mused, pulling away from him to pack up the paperwork that you had left on the island counter, tying up a space for the both of you to eat. The clatter behind him made him look over his shoulder, immediately pulling away from the pan to pull the books from your hands, placing them down on the floor himself. "You know you're not supposed to be bending over like that, baby."
You rolled your eyes at his remark, giving him a playful slap on the shoulder as you went to butter the bread for the sandwiches, flicking on the already half-filled kettle while you were at it. "I'm not completely useless, you know."
"Well, someone has to look out for you and little Weasley." He smiled fondly at you, arm slinking around your hip lazily as he pulled the bacon from the pan.
You sighed, using a fork to pull the pieces of bacon into the sandwich, finishing it off with a bit of ketchup, cutting them into half before moving the plates over to the island. He had taken the time you used preparing the sandwiches to pour you out some juice, before pulling his favourite mug from the cupboard to make his morning coffee, something you missed dearly about the shared morning routine you had since falling pregnant.
You went to pull the chair out for yourself, only to be met with George clearing his throat, giving you wide eyes before rushing over to pull the chair out for you. You didn't hate the way he became so overprotective since finding out he was going to be a father, knowing that when the time came, George would be the best dad any kid could ever want, thanking your lucky stars that you'd ended up with a good one.
The moment you sunk your teeth into your sandwich, if you weren't already knocked up, you would have been straddling your husband's hips and peppering kisses all over his face. George’s cooking skills were to die for, and even in something as simple as the bacon sandwich, he never failed to blow you away. "Ready for today's scan, my love."
You nodded at his question, reaching for his hand and running your thumbs over his knuckles. It was nice to see that no matter when the scans and appointments were, your husband would always make sure that he had the day off work not only to take you but to be there with you every single step of the way. "I love you, George Weasley."
"And I love you, Mrs Weasley."
