while i obviously think buck's self-discovery and acceptance of his sexuality is vital to his growth and (eventual) happiness, i'm not too thrilled about this sentiment i see going around that all of his issues are magically gonna be fixed now that he's dating a guy. i think this episode, more than anything, proved just how not okay he is—for reasons that are not completely tied-up in his sexuality.

imagine if in the next ep while they're figuring out what could've happened to chimney, eddie's got a specific memory in the back of his head that's bugging him, but he can't get enough of a hold on it to remember. but then they find chim and patch him up and eddie forgets about it until he's watching buck and tommy slow dance after the wedding, then sees them kiss. and suddenly the memory of making out with buck last night hits him like a truck

Hello, since I ended up writing like 12k words yesterday on a one of my fics called Feeling Fine (Could Be Better), I thought I'd share a little snippet of that instead!

I couldn't find anything fun that was around Seven Sentences so here is like Seventeen Sentences. I don't know I didn't actually count because I'm lazy.

Also, this isn't edited like at yet since I haven't started my second draft. So if this word vomit doesn't make sense I sincerely apologize. LMAO

“Look who I found!” Chimney announced, fake cheer in his tone. Buck barely smothers a smirk as he rounds the corner to the kitchen. He freezes the smile on his face upon spotting both his parents hovering at the dinner table. “Make nice and I’ll make drinks and plot our escape route.” “Are you sure I can’t help plot?” Buck asked in an undertone, swallowing a groan when Chimney nudges him towards his parents. “Evan, so glad you could finally join us.” Margaret says, dryly. “Chronically late as always. I was beginning to worry you might have grown up since the last time we saw each other.” Buck bites down on a rude retort in favor of hugging his sister. “Need any help in the kitchen?” Before Maddie can response, their mother cuts on. “I think your sister has got everything handled, the last thing we need is you in the kitchen charring anything.” Buck deflates a little but Maddie jumps to his rescue, she proudly pats his shoulder. “Actually, Buck is a great cook. He helps Bobby out at the station all the time and Bobby doesn’t just let anyone into his kitchen.” Chimney laughs, “Eddie is the one who isn’t allowed anywhere near a burner. Thank God we don’t cook in shifts anymore the way we use to before Bobby was Captain. Nothing would ever be edible.”

listen to me, he's been making comments abt buck, acting jealous as fuck, looking at him like he's hung on the moon and so one day chim just breaks and goes "so when the hell are you gonna ask buck out?" and eddie starts looking around bc why tf would chim be talking to him but no one else is there so he points at himself and goes "m-me?" and chim's like "no eddie, the fridge, yes you. when are you gonna ask him out" and eddie goes "I'm not???? I don't feel that way??? I'm straight???" and chim's like "well how DO you feel abt buck?" and eddie just talks abt how buck's his best friend and he doesn't trust anyone more than buck and how he wants to be a part of his life forever and that he doesn't like it when buck dates other people bc then he spends less time with eddie and chris and chim is looking at him with a slightly teasing smile on his face and goes "and do you want to hold his haaaand? maybe give him a little kiss 👀👀" and eddie blushes and groans and then goes "maybe? what does that mean? I didn't even feel this way about shannon" and chim is more serious now and says "you wanna know what it means?" and eddie nods and chim looks him right in the eyes and goes "you're gay" and eddies just sitting there for a few seconds and then he brings a hand up to his face and goes "ah man. you're right" and chim pats his shoulder and goes "you know we love you right? all of us? this doesn't change anything. well, hen might love you MORE if you come out but that's just how she is I think" and eddie nods and chin goes "hey man, you're my family, and I'm here for you if you need it" and eddie nods and says "thanks, it means a lot"

I can't get the idea of a Ghost Whisper/911 crossover where Melinda Gordon is in Boston (idk, finding antiques) at the same time Maddie is there for therapy. A young ghost follows Melinda but isn't doing anything but watching over her. She asks him if he needs help, and he's even more confused because his sister has never seen him before! Eventually he gets that she's not his sister, and as nice as it sounds, Daniel doesn't want to crossover yet. He's got a job to do (looking after his siblings) but he does need some help finding Maddie. Maddie and Melinda ignore the fact that they look exactly alike but talk about their paramedic and firefighter boyfriends. Daniel doesn't want Maddie to worry more, so Melinda doesn't tell her he's there, but she does give Maddie her card in case she's in Grandview or needs some antiques.
