ARCAS IV | 23 years old. He/Him pronouns. Human. 6’0, with broad shoulders, a strong build and tanned skin. Bright red hair and heterochromia: one blue eye, one brown eye. good-humored, diplomatic, paranoid, impulsive.
The heir to Cyllene’s throne, Arcas has been surrounded by rumours since his birth because Kyllini VII was not married to his father, and whose identity remains unknown. The prince has risen above said rumours, however, and is an excellent courtier, shining in his role, beloved by his people. As the assassinations begin, Arcas is determined to stop it- out of love for the peace his land has enjoyed, but also out of worry for his family.
Arcas is a regnal title. His true name, Alpheus, is reserved for his family and friends.
TOURNESOL “SOL” BYRNE | 27 years old. She/Her pronouns. Half orc. 6’2 and impressively muscular, with a larger build. Freckles across her green skin, little tusks as well as honey brown hair and eyes. adventurous, reliable, rash, thrill-seeking.
The leader of the security detail accompanying the Athenai courtiers and diplomats. Sol is different to the Athenai in many ways, not just in appearance, but the fact she’s not originally from the Alliance at all. Her jovial personality sometimes tends to veer into recklessness-- her bold, fearless ability to face any odds is the reason she’s still employed.
WEI LI | 26 years old. They/Them pronouns. Half elf. 5’8, lithely fit and light skin that burns when they go out on excavation trips. Monolids, pointed ears and jet black hair. resourceful, calculating, judgemental, blunt.
The shrewd advisor to the throne of Cyllene. Having had their research sponsored by the crown, they give patient counsel to both the regent and prince. Despite their duties as an advisor and as a public figure, Wei hates the crowds. They are a researcher at heart, and prefer analysing the Alliance and its cities’ shared histories.
CAYE ROSADO | 25 years old. Gender selectable: Cayetano (M), Cayetana (F), or just Caye (NB). Elf. 5’9, Thin and not nearly as physically fit as the others. Dark skin, braided coily hair and thin, high cheekbones. eager-to-please, intelligent, quiet, uncharismatic.
A mage-scholar that has recently joined the Lavrican court and is part of their entourage as the magical attaché. Caye is a little unpopular for being a… teacher’s pet, for lack of a better term. Still, their magical abilities are second to none and Caye is eager to prove their worth to find a permanent seat as a high ranking mage.
KYLLINI VII | Hermes Agonios, 47 years old, she/her pronouns. The ruler of the city state of Cyllene, and Arcas’ mother.
MUIREDACH BYRNE | 46 years old, he/him pronouns. Part of the security detail and Sol’s adoptive father.
HEBE AGONIOS | 28 years old, he/him pronouns. Hermes’ (much) younger brother, and Arcas’ uncle. The chief diplomat for Cyllene.
CASSI(E/AN) | 25 years old, gender selectable. The magical attaché to Khalkea, one of the city-states. A love interest, if I feel like writing their route.

always goes to sleep with music on- lived and studied in london before moving out to manchester, and found manchester was too quiet
dislikes japanese curry because she made way too much of it and ate too much of it in her uni days: between having a rice cooker and instant curry blocks and having enough to use as leftovers, she was having it every week and grew tired of it
when with cameron, both of them can switch between japanese and spanish very quickly, without realising. it's how they grew up talking and it stuck, and it confuses onlookers
loves coffee! usually gets a latte
also can never pass up a pastry after getting in line: breakfasts are usually costa coffees and a croissant
taller than cameron by about an inch!
"i need to be the hottest person at the grocery store"
swears a lot: people who know cameron first and then are introduced to carmen are usually surprised by the difference in personality
cameron
he's might be more well mannered than carmen, but tends to hold grudges and stays quietly fuming
a lightweight since he doesn't like alcohol but does drink socially, and usually stops after one or two so he can act as the voice of reason as his friends get plastered
actually likes the mint flavoured chocolates ! after eights especially
has a lot of houseplants that he loves dearly <3 if he didn't go into physics, he probably would have gone into botany (he was equally gifted at all the sciences!)
works out often because he likes doing reps! the auto-pilot repetition lets him think and calm down after a long day
soft-spoken and friendly, but his resting face is a frown, which makes people think he dislikes them

despite their bickering, they have matching tattoos: they each have "when there is some good in my work, consider it half of it your creation" in each other's handwriting. it's a quote from vincent van gogh about and to his brother, theo!
niyaz
loves matching outfits. they're going out? they've got a whole color scheme going on with whoever!
actually was worried r was going to be a stick in the mud when they first met, but quickly realised they like them. (a lot)
raids the kitchen often. being on the run meant they didn't eat very well, and loves being able to taste new dishes!
on that note, they're also an adventurous eater. if there were foods from outside of arsur, they'd be first in line to try it out!
despite their overthinking and calculating personality, that's thrown out the window when there's a simple problem like "i can't open this jar" and will just break it
used to do lots of manual labour work: given time and more training, especially after they're found and niyaz is able to rest/eat/etc, they're able to build more muscle! lithely strong, like a long distance sprinter.
the gold bracelet i draw them with often was passed on from their father <3
default expression is a tiny, playful smile- it's gotten them into trouble sometimes, because someone will assume they're laughing at them
prefers fruit teas, or floral blends. black tea is fine but they've got a bit of a sweet tooth!!

🍓send in a strawberry and one of my ocs, and i’ll tell you a fact about that oc!!
alpheus (with a mix of his original dnd backstory and ALSO facts for him within the exile's storyline bc i cannot help myself)
wears jhumka, passed down to him by his mother and originally owned by his grandmother! in the exile, he was found with them, but doesn't wear them often, in case he loses them, and carries them around instead !
he was growing his hair out pre-exile! during the events of the game, he keeps it short because it's easier to manage while exiled
alphie was doing this because esme mentioned he would look nice, and he liked the idea of being able to do his hair with esme and the queens
i've mentioned this in tags before, but alpheus is a joke character turned real character because he's supposed to be every mary sue trope ever (impossibly red hair, heterochromia, good at everything he does, liked by everyone, well fit. in his original verse, he's even royalty/nobility LMFAO)
his favorite food is lamb curry and rice! if he gets flatbread too, he WILL be eating an insufferable amount <3
he's very inspired by greek and hindu mythology (growing up pjo stan makes you like this forever...) !! the symbols i associate with him (the trident, the peacock and the eight spoked wheel) are all related to some kind of god/goddess
carmen!
moved to england during high school, and has been living there since !! unfortunately went to a private school (my name is tarquin)
is the child of a language interpreter, and both she and her sibling are (at a minimum) trilingual. english was actually a third language. carmen realized she had a proficiency for languages and wanted to turn that into a career!
has a hard-to-place accent in english, though people guess spanish. her parents both have accents since they learnt english as a second language, and since she picked english up from them as well as her british teachers, it resulted in her picking up different pronunciations
was learning cantonese after learning mandarin, but the tones, as well as the traditional writing form, made it so difficult she wanted to quit
