Alphagetti cheesy upgrade.
This is one I tried out for fun and it worked out so well.
Ingredients:
Alphagetti.
Hotdogs.
Spices, like pepper, parsley, marjoram, thyme, basil, and if you want you can add a little ginger powder and onion powder but they're optional.
Shredded cheese of your choice.
Instructions:
Put Alphagetti in a pot.
Cut up some hotdogs, as many as you want, I usually put two to three in.
Put the hotdogs into the Alphagetti. Stir it then put it on the stove on medium heat.
Let it cook a little to make both current ingredients warm. Stirring it sometimes or more frequently if needed. Make sure the hot dog bits are stirred in well.
Add your spices. As much as you like. Like pepper, parsley, marjoram, thyme, basil, and if you want you can add a little ginger powder and onion powder but they're optional.
Stir in the spices then grab shredded cheese.
Add one to two cups of shredded cheese. Feel free to adjust the amount to your liking. Stir it in letting it melt. If you're not satisfied with how much melted cheese is in there you can add more.
Put it in a bowl and you're all set to go and enjoy.

Relationship to food
Ah, this is an interesting topic! Food and I have always had a strange relationship. I wouldn't ever say I've considered myself a picky eater but there were a lot of foods that I wouldn't eat as a kid. To list a few, I hated mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, liver, mashed potatoes, chicken noodle soup broth, grilled cheese and alphagetti.
I had a very strong relationship with junk food and was always taught to eat what was served to me (large servings). For most of highschool, I was overweight. I could literally sit down with my brother and between the two of us eat an entire bag of chips or entire tub of ice cream. My mom would make us huge snack bowls at night and neither of us got as much exercise as we should have.
But as I got older and moved away from home, my relationship with food changed when I realized how many more choices I had. I'm not a picky eater any more (although I still refuse to eat liver, yuck). I love trying new things, experimenting with recipes and love, love, love fruits and veggies.
So, I'd say food and I are pretty much soul mates ;)

Nobody’s Listening
Social media. Social media. Social media. It started as an amoeba, so minute and small, insignificant even but it has evolved to a creature as complex as man. For this reason, not everything about social media can even be understood by those who created it. At first, it was about connecting with long lost friends and relatives. Next it turned into everyday entertainment and connected you to everyone you’ve ever met, anywhere. Now, it’s a crazy circus where we’re all vying for attention, hoping for a million likes or praying to be the next viral video. Instead of featuring raw beauty, we get to see pictures of girls plastered in more makeup than a red light district hooker. Instead of unedited thoughts and accounts of life, we read the ‘tailored for public’ bullshit accounts of daily life.
But what if nobody was listening? What if nobody was going to see those pictures? What would it all look like? I get it, we all want memories of our lives and the goal is to capture the good ones. But are these tainted versions of life even truly what we should be remembering? Is it really a memory if you altered it to look a certain way? Oh, quit tsking me. I can hear your accusations as I write this. You’re right.  I’m guilty too. I’ve never taken a selfie without makeup - not one that I’ve ever posted on social media anyhow. I don’t post the raw moments and I’m careful to be politically correct, not to offend anyone, not to cause any controversy, not to give away something too private, not to be too positive or too negative and not to draw too much attention to myself before I hit the post button anywhere.
So let’s just pretend for a minute that there will be no audience on the other end of your post. No one to see that perfect picture or thoughtfully composed comment to go along with it. What does that day look like? I could start with the raw, unedited version of my day but let’s start with right now. I’m typing this wearing the ugliest beach coverup come night gown that used to belong to my mother. I just finished a bowl of overnight oats that was meant to be my breakfast tomorrow but I’ve been starving all day long. The oats weren’t in one of those nice mason jars like when you see them on Pinterest either, they were in an orange stained (most likely from the kids lunch kit Alphagetti’s) Ziploc container, the one with the blue lid that twists on. The oats were sort of a slimy texture with a greyish hue, I imagine Oliver Twists gruel looked similar, though I think my oats tasted fabulous. Rewind a little bit more, before I was in bed typing this, and I was on the couch flipping through Facebook reading the odd bit of news or crinkling my nose at someone’s ‘perfect’ day. As I sat on the couch, exhausted from last night’s lack of sleep, the kids were in the basement on their billionth hour of Mindcraft and dirty dinner dishes and left over food covered the kitchen. My Goldendoodle, Lulu, kept nudging me to take her out for her walk that I couldn’t fathom finding the energy for. That was my evening. The pure unedited version.
The edited version:
After a busy and productive day, I finally get to take a few minutes to get to my blog. I just enjoyed a bowl of overnight oats (let me know if you want the recipe, it’s amazing) - what a great bedtime snack and they’re sugar free too. The kids are enjoying some down time, it’s been a busy summer so far, so it’s great they can laze around a bit. After tidying up from the homemade turkey burgers that Marc made for supper, I was thankful to relax myself. I fully intended on getting Lulu out for a walk and getting my 5 km’s in but the evening slipped by so quickly. I’ll get up at 5am tomorrow and get her out for a good run.
I’d love to read the unedited vs edited versions of everyone’s day. I’m a gambling girl and I’d be willing to be the unedited versions are more interesting than the edited versions!
